This review is for San Privada’s maintenance man, Ryan. Our air conditioner stopped working and within 30 minutes of posting my maintenance request, Ryan showed up like a superhero. He had the problem fixed within 10 minutes and even took care of some other things he saw while he helped me understand the issue at hand. Phenomenal service. A+++++++++

PLEASE READ BEFORE LIVING HERE.I am not someone who likes long reviews so I’m going to lay it out bullet style to help you make a good decision.-you are nothing but a number to mark Taylor and San Privada! My neighbors have been with them since they opened and previously other mark Taylor apartments since 2005. Their rent was raised $300 this year. This clearly shows you are NOT VALUED.-raised rent by 300 for residents this year(2021) When asked why told because we can because the housing market has increased.-you have 2 bills your rent and community bill. You split the community water such as pool, lights around the community, sewage, pest control with the other tenants. No such thing as amenities because you pay for it, even the electricity to run the machines in the gym even if you don’t use the gym.-high staff change over and very unfriendly. Because of this hArd to know who is in your apartment adjusting maintenance issues. Currently know no one on the Maintenance staff due to recent changes.-front office is scripted to say we care and understand but nothing actually gets done. Never and I truly mean it, have I had a concern and it was addressed.-increase in roaches, fly, and moths.-decrease in groundskeeping. Bushes overgrown, trash on sidewalks. Pet poop near balcony if you live on first floor. There was a rotten egg on the sidewalk for weeks, had bugs and very gross.-you are viewed as money. Which I get apartments is a business however would like to think that I’m valued as a customer because you can do both run a wealthy business and value the customer.-LASTLY SAN PRIVADA AND MARK TAYloYr THIS IS FOR YOU. Please please do not comment you want to hear more about my experience like you do on the bad reviews to respond to the reviews and show you care. I know you don’t care about me as a tenant but instead about the reviews that affect your business. Don’t play that game with me.

Lived here 3 yrs. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone. The leasing staff are the absolute worst. Gilbert PD responds to more and more calls for service around the property. The smell of marijuana is rampant in the evenings.Avoid this place if you want a decent quality of life. There are plenty of new-build apartment homes within a close proximity of this location.

I was fortunate enough to live at San Privada for a year and a half. This is such a beautiful place to live. The staff are super kind and always helpful. Their web based system for maintenance requests and paying your bills is awesome and makes life so easy. The facilities (gym, pool, grills, business center) are great and super well cared for. Its a bit more expensive to live here compared with neighboring complexes, but it is SO worth it.

Just wanted to take the time to publicly acknowledge the amazing office staff. They are super friendly and very attentive to not only the residents but vendors aswell. Theyre attention to detail and outstanding professionalism made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. I definitely recommend this place to anyone I know.

We have lived here for over 4 years. Recent changes in the team have been horrible! My wife recently has been facing health issues and we gave our proper notice to move, now we are targets and are getting fined for issues that are not ours. We visited the pool for the first time this year and another resident brought glass into the area, however we got the fine! When they like you they like you....if you try to move you better watch out, they will make your life a living hell.

My boyfriend, daughter, and I are completely in love with this place. We feel like its a resort every day. The staff are always very willing to help you, whether its over the phone or in person, they are knowledgeable, and they treat you like you have been best friends forever while maintaining a professional demeanor. Our last tenancy with a different apartment complex was an awful experience, but San Privada helped us get settled and assured us that we would be treated fairly and respectfully here. So far so good :) Even a few other tenants helped us move our furniture and other belongings in! We finally feel like we have a place we can truly call home. The place is beautiful and the amenities are to die for! :)

The community at San privada is top notch. The pool area is resort like. The grounds are well cared for . You can work out in a gym that has enough equipment to get a nice workout. The office staff are the best. They make you feel welcome and always greet you with a smile. From the food trucks to Sunday brunches they plan a lot for the community. Thank you Jillian , Dyana and all the staff for making San privada feel like home.

Most everything is fantastic about San Privada... so long as you never accidentally forget to pay your rent on time. Once that event occurs, they work really hard to make paying them really hard. You want to pay them. You have the money. You can do it RIGHT NOW, but they demand super antiquated payment methods so ridiculous you cant help but assume its on purpose to harass residents. I guess they have a waiting lists of potential residents to be able to afford this kind of bullying.Edit: Ive contacted the office several times but they refuse to let me pay via typical means. I dont bank with any local branch so they literally asked me withdraw max atm value and get max money order value per day over numerous days to pay all the while accruing more late fees. Ridiculous!

Pretty community- was looking forward to signing a lease and advised management that I have a certified working dog. The leasing agent informed me of the documents that I would need to provide upon move in which is no problem, I have all of that. She said that the pet deposit will not apply since he is considered a working animal- not a pet, then goes on to tell me that regardless of if its a working animal or not- no pitbulls allowed on the property. The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development states under the Fair Housing Act, Section 504 and the ADA that Breed, size and weight limitations may not be applied to an assistance animal. I really was excited to live here, but since this complex does not take these official legal regulations seriously, I guess Ill have to look elsewhere which really is a shame.

What a breath of fresh air! After moving here from another luxury apt. complex (an Olympus property), this is truly luxury!!The apts themselves are absolutely gorgeous! All of the amenities are top notch and everything is well maintained! The office staff is so professional as well as personable!!It is so refreshing living in a quiet community that doesnt feel as if youre at a rave all the time. Great job to the Mark Taylor staff, its obvious they actually care about their tenants....not just filling apts.

I’ve been living at San Privada for over a year now and have loved it. Something changed though about 2 months ago. The property has gone downhill. The grills are never cleaned, the garbage is alway overflowing and smells. My apartment building hasn’t had any love in a while. There is smeared dog poop on the walk ways and there are so many stains. I know they have had a change in management but keeping the property looking clean is a must. I have always loved living here but the quality of the way the property is being up kept is changing and it’s sad to see.

Moving from Minnesota to the Phoenix area as a single person could have been a disaster if I didnt find a fantastic community in which to live. Fortunately, I got lucky and happened to find San Privada. After being here for four months, everything so far is top notch - as it should be for the price. The fact that I have a one bedroom with no neighbors on the other side of any wall is phenomenal and speaks to the well-designed layout.Brb, going to go for a swim and watch TV by the fireplace in the outdoor lounge.

Leasing:After extensive online research, I toured this complex and the Cooper 202 in February 2018 and was blown away with how beautiful the property was both on the inside and on the outside. I decided upon a 10 month lease on a 1b apartment on the third floor as there are no neighbors on either side only one neighbor below you. I was quickly approved despite having a ch 7 bk 3 years prior and several prior negatives on my credit report. Everything was completed online and the whole process was seamless including my move-in in July.Cons:1) My apartment was located on the corner of Pecos / Val Vista making it very noisy at all hours despite the reinforced insulation.2) I had roaches the first few weeks but they sent Burns out to spray and that went away. By December, the first bark scorpion appeared in my kitchen. Then another in the bathroom and another. Despite spraying, there wasnt much that they could do and part of my reason to leave was due to this issue.3) The gate did not work at times and the sticker they placed on my car also stopped working after a few months. However management always kept us informed of any issues like this.4) You have to give a 60 day notice if you plan to move out. I inquired about my options at the 90 day mark and they said someone would contact me soon but they never did and I just gave my notice at the 60 day.Pros:1) I never heard my neighbors once in the 10 months I was there. I have lived in apartments where I could hear everything and this was probably the best part about the complex for me as I like my privacy.2) The layout and appliances and everything in the apartment was beautiful and worked well. Views of the sunset from the private balcony were breathtaking.3) When I moved in I didnt have much hot water. Maintenance eventually replaced the hot water heater completely and kept me informed along the way. Every request I made was carried out very quickly and efficiently and the maintenance workers were just great.I only used email to contact the office and every email was responded to within an hour or so. A special thanks to Diana and Dyana in the front office who were always so helpful.4) Although I didnt use the amenities much, the fitness center was huge with all working machines but people would bring their screaming babies in there so I didnt use it much and I never used the pool but it was beautiful. Valet trash, as in all of these complexes, is included for 35 in your monthly rent. I never once took my trash or boxes to the dumpster in my entire 10 months there.5) There is an online portal to pay your rent, submit a maintenance request, post about issues or things for sale and even use as a dating website. Anyone who leaves a review about issues with payments here is mistaken because it is a flawless and easy to use system.6) You are right next to McDonalds and Winco and many other restaurants and shopping centers are a couple miles away including the 202 which is just a 1/2 mile from the complex.. I like to run and the trails near the complex were perfect.7) There were no charges at move out. I cleaned the apartment to the best of my ability and wasnt charged a dime. I feel that the price that I was paying was worth it despite a few bug problems.Final thoughts:I enjoyed the privacy and true luxury that San Privada offered. I ultimately decided to move back home but I will likely return to the Gilbert area and will consider moving back to this complex or the Cooper 202. I wish more people would leave reviews about the apartments in the area so I could get a better idea of what else is out there.

My Boyfriend and I lived at San Privada for a short time but we loved every minute of it! We had to leave due to being relocated for our jobs. We had an amazing experience at San Privada from start to finish. Here is what we experienced. The office staff is AMAZING! They will stop at nothing to make sure youre comfortable. We had excellent service all the time. The Maintenance guys are WONDERFUL. Theyre always friendly. I walked my dog every morning and all of the guys (and girls) always said hello. They were always cleaning up the grounds and tending to the pool. The property looks amazing. Its clean and I always saw the landscapers making sure it looked its best. Our apartment was perfect! We were looking for something bigger (coming from a one bedroom) and it was excellent. It was clean and ready for our arrival. I guess I just dont understand why people write bad reviews complaining about their rent. You agree to this before hand. We had to sign multiple documents in which we thoroughly reviewed and discussed with the office staff. They did let us know everything that we were going to be paying. Also, it is a LUXURY community, so when people complain that they are paying more, I dont get it. Sure, it is slightly higher than other properties in the area, but you are not going to find another community that will compare! I have read reviews in which people complain about their rent, about fees and about air conditioners. We had everything explained to us by the leasing agent we worked with. We also took the time to read through our entire lease agreement which states everything, so when it came time to pay, there was nothing surprising to us. I guess some people just dont have the time/sense to read through everything, so therefore they are shocked. We had a few maintenance requests and each time we submitted one, it was taken care of within 48 hours. I have been living in apartments since 2008 and every Mark-Taylor that I have lived at has completed our requests quickly and within 48 hours, as this is usually what the office states is a reasonable amount of time. Overall, my Boyfriend and I LOVED this property. We have ZERO complaints! My dog, Molly, loved it as well too! We frequently used the fitness center, the pool and the outdoor patio area. The fitness center was always kept clean! The pool was closed a few times, but it was closed due to irresponsible people bringing glass in the pool (when its clearly stated NO GLASS on every door), or for maintenance reasons in order to make the pool even better. The patio area was great. My family and my Boyfriends family came to visit us from Pennsylvania and Ohio and they were STUNNED at how beautiful everything was. They were jealous that we were living even better than they were! We had friends from in and out of state come to visit, and each visitor always commented on how they wish they could live like we do. We would DEFINITELY 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a high end, luxury apartment. I certainly understand everyone will have a different experience, but just know that if you take the time to research and review, like we did, you will not regret living here! A+ property & A++ STAFF! Thank you San Privada for all that you did for us during our short, but memorable time! We were truly sad to leave!

This place is an over priced joke. Wood floors = laminate paneling. granite counter tops are granite but poorly put together like they were pasted together scraps. stainless steel appliances are in fact aluminum paneling over the cheapest low-end appliances you can find. They boast about how reinforced the walls and floors are but they arent, you can definitely hear your neighbors, especially the garages (we were on the THIRD floor and could hear them) Youll be excited to pay a low deposit but they will still charge you for every little thing they can think of, your security deposit doesnt cover ANYTHING.The only good things I can say about this place is there is ample parking and the pool area is really nice, even though the hot tub is disproportionately small compared to the pool and is never actually hot for more than a day. The office staff is friendly and helpful too.
