I moved to Gilbert as a bachelor after an 18 year relationship ended. I wanted a place that would be comfortable, stylish, and located within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and nightlife. I sat underneath the water tower and Googled “apartments near me”, and discovered the Lofts. I stayed for nearly 2 & 1/2 years, fell in love with my bachelor pad, made friends, and created a new chapter for myself. It’s a great place to be single, and still inviting for a family or couples. I’m only leaving now because I’m ready to explode the world. The Lofts was the perfect place for me to get my bearings, and adjust to my new reality, and I’m happy I chose it as my home. If you’re reading this, and are in a similar situation, come meet Seleania and the team, take a tour, and enjoy your new home. Don’t let the train tracks scare you away. I quickly fell in love with it and hope that I’ll hear a train at my next home.Have fun!

I like living here, it’s super nice but they need to do something about the parking. I get that they want it to look nice, but maybe instead of all the useless trees there could be more parking spaces added. Also there needs to be better lighting in the dog park, it’s hard to see where you’re stepping at night because people don’t know how to pick up after their dogs. And last thing, they need to lower the rent a little for those of us facing the lumberyard.. there’s hardly ever moments of silence since they start work at 2am. Other than that I have no real issues.

I have to start by saying I have never written a positive review about any apartment complex that I have lived in prior to District Lofts. All the apartments I have lived in were brand new construction as well. I have to say living here has been AMAZING. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and polite! They are so timely with responses to questions or concerns you may have. The apartments are very well built and maintained(we havent had any issues). The amenities are awesome! Rooftop hangout, plenty of grills and sitting areas. We love dog area with the wash station. Location is great! You can walk to downtown Gilbert, which has awesome restaurants and bars.. I couldnt be happier with our choice to live here! I highly recommend checking it out.

I love living here! District Lofts is truly a gem in not only DT Gilbert but in the Phoenix area as a whole. Seleania, Adam, & Ashanti are one of a kind and they throw the BEST resident events. The maintenance staff also deserves a shout out because they have the fastest turnaround time I have ever seen! You can walk to downtown Gilbert in three minutes and see the water tower from most places in the community. The other residents are fun to socialize with and a lot of them have the cutest dogs. It truly feels like a home. I cannot recommend enough!

I was one of the first people who moved into this complex and I have lived in some really crappy apartment places before. This place on the other hand is definitely the nicest I have stayed. The staff always know my name and are free to talk whenever something comes up. Jessica is easily the nicest person ever, you can have a 45 minute conversation about anything and just feels like you have been friends forever. I will definitely miss living in this place.

Only Pros:-Super close to downtown Gilbert. 5 minute walking distance from all the restaurants-Clean-TrendyCons:Where do I begin...-ALWAYS when asking questions, record the conversation and/or have it emailed to you in writing. Was told back in April that there were no steps to end our lease and we were good to go once the lease ended. Apparently, we were emailed with directions on how to go about to end the lease but unfortunately, it was never sent to us. Granted, it was in our contract. But with this being our first time leasing an apartment AND being told verbally that the only steps were to simply move out on our last day, we are having to extend our lease and the information that we were originally told is not true.-9 out of 10 times I walk in, I have to wait several minutes for someone to get off their phone to acknowledge my presence to get help. The staff is incredibly rude and there are several reviews that explain their behaviors as well.-The office staff has a hard time communicating with their maintence crew and the exterminators. Over the year and a half living at the District Lofts, we always give permission (the office staff) to have them (maintenance or exterminators) come in and fix our issues. The problem with that is they forget to tell them so they cannot get the task done until a week later.-You get sometimes less than a 24 hour notice for inspections. If you do not follow the guidelines, you can get charged $50.-Parking is terrible. You get one assigned parking. There are too many vehicles here at the District Lofts per parking spaces.-The dog park has the sprinklers on between the hours of 6:30-8:30. Those are normal hours of the morning where working people take their dogs.

The managers are awful; Ingrid and Jessica W. both, I dont think Ive actually seen Ingrid actually leave the office building (except I did see her working out in the District Lofts gym, and NO she is not a resident) in the months Ive been here. The dog park water fountain was broken for over 4 months, and it has absolutely no shade which you would think would be a no brainer for a state that is as hot as this one. They planted trees that are toxic to dogs all over the property when I would say 75% or more of the residents have dogs, and the dog park is so small you cant have more than 4 dogs in there at a time comfortably. The WiFi is horrible, and you have to use their provider as they are contracted with some company, that’s an extra $125 a month and you have no choice. Parking is very limited after about 5 PM or on weekends, design flaw. My “assigned parking spot” is 2 buildings over. Trespassing has been a huge issue here. Overall the rent is just very high for none of the residents concerns to be taken seriously and management to literally never reply to your concerns, a 1C floor plan runs around $1500 a month w/o utilities, oh and they decided to raise the rent so you’ll be paying close to $1600 for a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT NOW. Maintenance is good, and they do follow up on requests, but as far as any issues you have with the property that management needs to deal with; good luck. Ingrid and Jessica literally never reply, they make the leasing consultants do everything. It’s pathetic. This apartment has just BASIC AMENITIES, that EVERY apartment complex has; a pool, a gym, and a dog park. The only real thing that it truly has to offer is the location, but the negatives outweigh that here. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I wish I could give this place zero stars! Front office is incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Definitely a shame because the units are nice and the location is great. Stay far away because management is very dishonest and hurtful. If it was up to me I would fire them and hire all new people and get them some property management training and communication/people skills training. You think a company like Mark Taylor could afford to hire some real professionals. Like I said I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Moved across the country and the mgmt staff made it super easy on me, guided me through the process and I had a new place in less then 2 hours. The amount they told me that was going to be due was due at the time of signing and my monthly rent has been consistent as well. The trains do run at different times, but it doesnt make it or break it for me. There were bug issues, but I got on the list and they came by sprayed my place and havent seen a thing since.I live right next to the pool and have not had a disturbing night of sleep or bad interaction with other people in the community yet. I have noticed a lot of different dogs being walked through out the day, but most of the time I seeing other guests letting their dogs play with one another.Workout room is top notch and the equipment in there is all brand new and in good working condition. The main grills work perfect and have been clean every time I have gone to use them(4-6x).Highly recommend this place!

Well, if it wasnt for the trains at night I would highly recommend these apartments. However, although I was told that the trains did not run at night, they do. Even that wouldnt be so bad if the trains didnt also blow their VERY LOUD horns as they go by, so I am startled awake and cant get back to sleep for an hour. This happens at least 5 times a week. So if you dont need sleep, you should love this place. In response to the comment from the property management - I did go to the office regarding the inaccurate information on the trains and they just wanted to know who told me about the trains. Not sure what they could do about the noise, unless it was to move me to a new apartment, but they didnt offer any suggestions.

We moved in about 15 days ago and everything has been pretty much perfect!Im pretty shocked to see negative comments about the office staff. When we toured the apartments they were extremely friendly, and even when there was an error on their background check that initially disqualified us from moving in, the staff was very friendly, professional, and helped us get the matter resolved. Long story short, they use a 3rd party for their background screenings and the 3rd party got some bad information. We contacted them and it was resolved the same day. The staff had no issue holding our apartment for us while we worked with the 3rd party to get the matter resolved.Another issue Ive read about is train noise. Yes, there is a railroad track right next to the property and the trains run night and day. Id say theres roughly 3-5 that run throughout a 24 hour period. The first night here I woke up due to a train blowing its horn, but since the first night I havent had issues. Im not the deepest of sleepers either, but I guess I got used to the noise pretty fast. The actual sound of the train on the tracks is like white noise, and not every train that goes by blows the horn. Our unit is located facing the courtyard so I cant speak to the train noise volume for those units facing the tracks. The actual apartment units are wonderful. When we moved in everything was spotless. There are a few very small issues such as the cabinet door where the garbage can goes not closing all the way and some paint chipping from the bottom of a door trim. When we brought these things up in our move in check list they immediately offered to send someone over to fix them, but honestly its not even necessary. You would have to really be nit picking to even notice this stuff. Soft closing drawers, beautiful subway tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, brand new stainless steel appliances, huge over sized sliding glass doors, high ceilings, big balconies, beautiful vinyl flooring... I mean theres not much else you could really ask for. The only thing that would be nice to have would be a wifi thermostat, but again, Im nit picking. The neighbors seem very pleasant and friendly. Everyone says hello when you walk by them, most people are pretty good at cleaning up their dogs poop, and so far nobody has been blasting music or TV at odd hours of the night. As far as noise goes, you can hear people above you when they are walking around with shoes on, but honestly thats to be expected in an apartment complex and its much less noisy than any other apartment Ive lived in.We did a lot of research prior to moving here and this place checked all the boxes for us. You can easily walk to downtown Gilbert where there are tons of new bars and restaurants. The amenities in the complex are awesome including a nice gym with free weights, squat rack, and even a Peloton bike. A pool and hot tub that are both heated. Grills scattered around the property so you dont have to venture very far to get your BBQ game on. Valet trash service 5 days a week so you dont even have to walk your trash down to the dumpsters. Cable and internet included which surprisingly has great connection speeds (over 100mbps over wifi) and a number of channels. They even have an app that you can download that has a profile for all of the residents and their pets. (You dont have to have a public profile if you dont want to.) You can set up play dates for your dogs on the app, sign up for dating, get notifications about packages being delivered, pay your rent, and get notified about the many community events that are happening. Just last weekend they had a wine & paint event and they have food trucks scheduled nearly once a week.I know this is long winded and I know Ive only been here for a few weeks, but I gotta give credit when its due and this place has been awesome for us so far. If anything changes Ill be sure to update my review. Hopefully these good reviews dont lead to the rent being raised at the end of the lease because we plan to stay here for awhile.
