Has a very bad feral cat problem (20+ cats) which can potentially be dangerous for pets and children because the cats dispose their waste in the children play area and around the complex. Management posted that they are handling it by sending someone to trap and neuter cats once a month. I dont think this solves the problem at hand because I have seen several kittens around the complex and there is still 20 or more feral cats still reside here. Unfortunately the root of the problem is caused from residents who think its a good idea to feed them and give water to them. I thinks its unfair to the rest of the residents and management to have to deal with this problem because some people dont care. Im not blaming the management because their hands are tied but this place could be a whole lot better if we could control this problem.

I have lived here over a year and I have to say that it is the staff that make the difference. Sarah in the leasing office is the absolute best. She is always friendly and helpful but also honest. She follows through as she says she will and thats important to me. I only give 4 stars because of the internet service.

Nice and clean well kept property! Office staff is nice and really kind. Recently toured here and Sarah was very helpful and answered all my questions, definitely renting in the fall!

Outdated furnishing and appliances. Century link is the internet provider for this complex and it’s terrible. Police seem to be here every couple of weeks. I personally experienced waking up to my cars driver door window shattered. I’d recommend looking at other options before this complex.

Lived here for a year. Staff was always responsive and helpful. Little dog park was nice for use. Only real down side were the stray cats, some of these neighbors like to feed them. Upon move out we received our full $900 deposit back.

I love living here. The staff are amazing, my apartment is the perfect size. My neighbors are friendly and I have everything I meed within a 2 mile radius.

We toured this community and had a great experience! We met with Bridget who showed us a model of a 2 bedroom and gave us all the details with exceptional customer service. That is one thing we loved about them is great customer service, the other communities we visited were not as helpful and didnt bother to go over everything because we arent looking to move in until October. With Borrego, Bridget wrote everything down and made us aware pricing could change but still covered everything as we if were ready to move in now. As we were leaving we also met the manager Melissa, who is also super nice. This was just a great experience unlike any other tour we went to on that day and cant wait to come back.

Lived here almost 2 years with wife, child and dog. Dog rules are simple. Pick up after your dog! Least we can do to keep our pets here!Love it here! Great customer service! I really enjoyed living here. The complex has a nice feel to it and the location is great!

My wife and I moved here half a year ago. Rent is not too high considering its Gilbert. Staff is super friendly and always helpful. There are a few minor problems, like our A/C is a little weak in some rooms. We had some big roaches despite the weekly pest control. Overall I really like it here though. Much better than the last apartment complex we lived at.

Make sure you know this is a full smoking community. Smoking is allowed at the pool, in the pool restroom, tv area by the pool and in all common areas including the kids play ground. They encourage smoking by having ashtrays all over the place.

Continues to excell our expectations at BORREGO/Azul! We have had great customer service since day one! There are a few favorites, hate to admit.....Bridget, Katie and Andrea. EVERYONE in the office is GREAT but we have dealt with these 3 the most. They never disappoint. Thank you for making our home even sweeter.*UPDATE* I wrote this review more than 9 months ago. We have lived here for over 3 years now and it has only gotten better. Living at Borrego/Azul by Mark Taylor has been such a pleasure and honor. We feel so lucky to be living here. It has been an awesome 3 years. Everyone should be be so lucky.Borrego/Azul has it all. They offer 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms! Awesome floor plans. Not every apartment complex offers that. Plus Borrego/Azul has the best staff, you cant find that just anywhere! We cant stop telling our friends and family about Borrego/Azul.You will not be disappointed here at Borrego/Azul if you decide to make it your home!

Beautiful place but stray CATS are everywhere. My daughter lives there and the cats are out of control. The stairwells smell like cat pee and some residents place food outside to feed them so they keep coming back. They are literally everywhere and the office says they cant have them removed.

Nice place to live but management is terrible. They put a 350lbs mentally challenged adult on the 3rd floor so things fall off your counter and wake you up 7 days a week anywhere from 11PM,2AM,5AM. They talk with the neighbor 6 times with no action and tell you to tuff it out rather than move that person to the fist floor unit they should be on Or move me to a different into a different unit and solve the problem. Whatever happened to paying a premium for good things and service? New management doesnt hear the pools until May, when its already hot out too. Just poor management is the only issue really.

My sister lives here,and I personally like the property I was hoping to live here , my sister said it was pretty nice to com see it for my self long story short I babysit for her on the weekends so yesterday we decide it to go to the pool , we had fun and my husband was also visiting so we stayed longer ,we were finishing cooking , when security employee approach us , since I already know I told him the apt. Number and name he came closer and a very sarcastic aggressive tone of voice said are you giving me an attitude !!?? I said I wasnt but now I am !Im get away from me at this point he was rigth on my face screaming and saying why did I give him an attitude, my husband reacted and told him to get away from me than he turns to my husband and starts charging at him he gets on his face and they started arguing, than I graved my phone,and he starts following me and pulls out his phone to call cops , i said go ahead call them so we can tell them what happened security employee laughs and makes fun of us said that we will see who the cops are going to believe?! when he was on the phone he pretended to be calm , I started recording and he was posing smiling and making signs with his hands, he hung up and continued to laugh and said the cops will take his side, cops got here, basically told him that he just have to get the information that he needed from us and thats all, which he lied and said we didnt want to provide that information , so we give him the information again , he left and cops recommended for us to contact the property mgr., I had to work early today wasnt able to go to the office but I will stop by tomorrow, security employees are supposed to make you feel the property its safe not worry about they asalting you verbally and physically,, its so unfortunate and unvelivable, Im still in shock that this person can act this way and someone so disrespectful works for this property,,

Move here when I first got married nearly 10 years ago. Sadly it isn’t what it once was but still a great area to live in with plenty of things close by.

Where to start? The place is a zoo, there are dogs barking constantly through out the day. The office claims they will take action, but nothing is ever done. There are stray cats everywhere that consistently fight at random times of the night and day. This can induce a fair amount of anxiety at 2am when you are dead asleep, and have to be up for work an hour or two later.These cats will also pee on your door and your car, this is not a joke. The residents fuel this ridiculous fire by continuing to feed the cats. If you live with somebody and have separate cars, expect to have nowhere to park, or to just flat out steal somebody elses spot. The Henri app is often dysfunctional, which becomes a pain in the neck when you are trying to pay rent on time.The MANDATORY Valet trash is an ABSOLUTE joke. They come at around 10pm, stomping up and down the stairs, making even more noise to add to the current level of pollution. You pay about $40 a month for simple waste services. The waste bin is literally a 15-30 second walk from the apartments, so we just dont use this lazy service. Of course, were being charged for it..fine print & allThe amount of irresponsible dog owners, apartment owners, and staff at this place has astonished me. If you really dont mind all of the listed issues, save yourself $500 a month go find somewhere in west Phoenix. Borrego at Spectrum has disgraced the city of Gilbert and Mark-Taylor as a name brand.Dont bother asking me to reach out to make things right, unless you are willing to refund our money.No thanks**Update**So we get a call from the Borrego office, claiming that were five months behind on our utility bills. The reason being the office had a communication issue with SRP, and that SRP has been charging the complex for our power usage. Then proceed to explain it was our responsibility to contact SRP and pay the back payments we owed.This makes absolutely zero sense, being that they would not allow us to move in until my account with SRP was validated and cleared. The lease expires July 3rd, and they waited FIVE months to contact us about this.I STRONGLY encourage you to take your prospective business elsewhere. These people are greenhorn management material, cons in suits & skirts, disrespectful, and absolutely no help what-so-ever.Cops are here every other night, the stench of cat urine and feces permeates the air, I could go on and on discussing the negatives that plague this complex, but I would just encourage you to look elsewhere.Reviews speak incredibly high volumes, heed these reviews.

My 1 year old was stung by a scorpion from Borrego at Spectrum Apartments in Gilbert. I spent 6 hours at the hospital, watching her receive MULTIPLE Anit-venum medicine. IT IS THE WORST PLACE EVER TO LIVE. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT LIVE HERE. It is infested with roaches and scorpions. I really thought for Mark Taylor and how outrageous the rent is, they would keep up a lot more. Ive only lived here for two months and I would say it is definitely not worth a penny.

I lived here for a little over 6 months and its honestly awful. The scenery is pretty but thats all youll be paying for. The staff doesnt care about your issues and do not follow through with anything, whatsoever. They dont care about your concerns that are expressed kindly and dont care to help out. Example: I NEVER complain about anything but I put in 5 noise complaints for the people who live above me and I guess others around them have too. They have WAY too many people up there. I worked full time as an assistant teacher and would come home tired and want to sleep at night and on the weekends. These people above me never shut the he** up! 24 hours day and night theyre running, stomping, screaming, playing electric guitar, etc. the staff here doesnt give a s**t. They say they called but these people above me need to be moved to the first floor. So Im ending my lease early because the amount Im paying for a 1-bedroom here is totally not worth it. I want to help anyone whos thinking about coming here, just dont. Their quality apartments are actually pretty sadly put together. I heard this place used to be great until 3 years ago. Theres a huge bug problem with ants and crickets. The ants will devour you when youre trying to grill. I do not recommend this facility to rent, its not worth the money youre paying. Im not the only resident here that feels this way. Many people here feels this way. Rent alone is high and everything else is separate payments. Not worth it. Its also so high that some adults, including me cant afford internet so when you attempt to go to their office computers that have crappy internet connection for work purposes, good luck because theres always a bunch of kids down there playing games on the computers. The ladies treat you like youre a stupid child, even to my adult friends here. Well, I liked 1 or 2 of the girls but the rest were, eh. At least the office girls faked being nice. Melanie and Stephanie were the real pains in the butts. They are rude as he**. Dont run into them, call or email them. Just avoid those two as a whole. Its so sad. I give this place 0 stars. It made me pick at least 1 star...

Expensive, but beautiful. Watch for bark scorpions near the pool.
