The worst place to apply for. I wish I could give 0 stars. I was an incoming student to Phoenix and I wanted to get an apartment at Motif. I applied the day after I did the tour and called Seyena everyday at least 4 times a day. Every time I contacted her, she was not available and when I asked if there is someone else that can handle my application they said she is the only one. I sent her all my documents and asked for her help since my school was starting soon. She was super rude and every time I talked to her, she spoke really fast and said I have other things to do its not only your application. I was nice to her but she treated me with very bad attitude as if I have done something wrong to her. since the first day I asked her do you have all my documents and she said yes I have more than enough. Then after couple days she called me for more documents. she then called me to sign my W2 form and then when I asked her where should I sign she said oh no sign your K2 form, then I asked where she said no need to sign just send it to me, I said I have already sent it the first day, then she said no I need the first 3 pages! I kept asking her since day 1 do you have everything and she kept saying yes but then after a week she called and said I dont have everything.Very unprofessional. Dont waste your money and your time. It is not worth it.

There is no parking I have to wait in my car like an hour to find a spot. I lived in other apartments and never had this issue for parking spot. Every time I try to call the office the staff is rude and if I need something they tell me they can’t because they’re short on staff.

The assistant manager, Catie, is really nice and helpful. Oyr maintenance crew also treat us with respect,, and they listen to our concerns. However, some of the office staff reports incorrect and inconsistent answers to my questions. The property owners, Weidner, decided to remove garbage disposals from all of their properties. I was told about this company wide decision AFTER I signed the lease. Not having a garbage disposal attracts sink flies.

This place has the worst parking I’ve ever seen!! If there is more than one adult with a car they should be entitled to two reserved parking spots. Especially with the amount of rent that had to be paid. I should not have to get off work and circle this complex over an hour to find a parking spot. The first time I called I was told that I could pay an extra $50 for another parking spot. When I called again I was told I wasn’t allowed to do such a thing. Nobody seems to know what can and can’t be done. There are homeless people that walk around here late at night so it’s not safe at all to have to park on the opposite side of the complex from where your apartment is! I pay entirely too much to be worried about possibly being assaulted on my way home because I can’t park near my apartment

Nice and clean apartment, I appreciate that but the maintenance team is lazy they drag to do the simplest work and have attitudes. Also, the parking is crazy if you have any guests over they will have to park far in the rear of the complex. This is due to people parking here that arent on any lease(plenty of covered spots available) and vehicles that dont work being parked and taking up space, when will they clear it out? Hm just stay tuned.

I’ve lived here for 4 months and this has been one of the most unprofessional apartments I’ve lived in. Maintenance response time is HORRIBLE and they half way do their jobs. We were better off fixing the problem ourselves. The front office has attitudes every time I call with an issue. I called today about a situation and was told that there was nothing they (the office) could do about it. There’s always cops out here and helicopters flying above. They also denied my emotional support animal because of her breed but then sent out an email about a missing dog of her exact breed. Parking is also terrible if you have a guest over they have to park all the way in the back of the complex. They only provide you with one covered parking for your apartment and there’s no guest spots near most of the buildings. I would not recommend this apartment complex.

Main reason for 1 star is the parking. You guys need to limit cars or open up more reserved parking spots somehow because this is RIDICULOUS. came home last night around 10, NO PARKING anywhere not even on the complete opposite side where my apt is. The only way I could park is in a handicapped spot because im a woman I cant park my car and walk 15 min back to my place late at night in this area. I get up to move my car and its towed because their towing company with this complex patrols and looks for people parked in a handicap spot. What else am I supposed to do when I come home past a certain time??? Keep getting towed or take my chances getting towed parking somewhere else AND possibly get assaulted. Ive been here a month and this is already just the worst. Not to mention the apt itself had issues that still arent fixed because we wont give permission for maintenance to enter.

I have been living here for the past five years. Everyone is very professional and nice! The maintenance guys are always very helpful and kind, especially Carl and Juan. Also in the front office Katie and Anthony are so welcoming and understanding. I just wanted to say thank you for all you do! 😀

Live on the 3rd floor and water coming inside the apartment after heavy rains recently. You can hear the loud pipes and when your neighbors. Are running their water. EXTREMELY LOUD and the walls and floors are thin. Smh

First night living in the new apartment I slept with cockroaches. Apartment was clean and remodeled when I moved in with no food or water left out. Cant imagine months down the line to see how many roaches there will be. Not only that I witnessed a hit and run in the parking lot, and police chopper with a spotlight hovering over the complex. Also Im stuck in an apartment with no wifi. There was no modem in the apartment. I spoke to COX on the phone and they said that there already should be one in there and that it should be in the contract with the leasing office now I have to waste time to pick up a modem at the COX store .ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS LIVING HERE!! I just want to say that Anthony, one of the Leasing agents, has the absolute BEST ***OUTSTANDING*** customer service. I never ever have written a review on any website and I certainly have never given feedback as I am shy. This man seriously deserves a raise or some place in management because his customer service wowed me. I work in customer service and can only dream of being as good as he is at this kind of job. He really cares about his work. It takes a LOT out of you to be so nice and so understanding and helpful all day, and every time I talk to him he puts me in good spirits and I am reassured. Thank you Anthony for being so kind and helpful. You are amazing :)

Hello I’m new over here but I wanted to take the time out and give my honest review, since I see a lot of good and bad ones, let me say this, it don’t matter where you go in life there is gonna be good and bad in everything you do, so with that being said let’s get right into it, when I was trying to get an apartment a month before I moved in, I kept being switched around and also because I was indecisive on where to move and how to do it. Anais from front desk clerk and the lady with the blond hair was super nice, I didn’t get one attitude from them and they were very patient with me, I like them for looking out for me I appreciate that. When I first got here there was one bug in the bathroom, and honestly don’t know if that was from us leaving the door open for a long period of time while we move. But we ain’t seen any new bugs yet. My main problem was that my bathroom shower don’t get hot for one, and my toilet doesn’t work in there right now because the water kept running. The neighbors does mind their business for the most part you do have a few nosy people around here, a lot of inconsiderate people as well towards the back, while I was moving in these people acted very nasty because I had my big uhaul in the way and I only needed an hour, someone was parked in my spot when I got here. There’s no parking spaces at night, the pool and stuff are open now which makes me a bit more happy. I didn’t struggle with Cox because I already had my box.

I am a resident at Motif. I spoke to Catie the Manager about a personal issue in my family. She was amazing! Very compassionate, helpful, and helped me with my problem. I have also had the pleasure of dealing with the other office staff including maintenance. All issues are handled quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this community. Mr. Anthony is the reason I have chosen to apply for the apt for some reason he made me feel like I am home. He was totally understanding when I told him I have other apartments to look at. But thinking about he customer service and attention he gave me first thing the next morning before the office was open I had already applied for the apartment. I also told him to keep the same energy once I move in to which he stated this is me all day everyday. Thank you Anthony for being the front line to Motif

I was a previous resident at Motif a couple of years ago. My sister remained there, so I had my mailing address the same for a while. I received an iPad as a gift for volunteer work my crew and I did. As normal, I tracked my package and when it came to the status of “delivered” , I did not receive it. Right about the same time the package was delivered, I received a call from Motif asking for me to call them. I proceeded to return the call and they had no idea why I was calling in. Come today, I’ve finally been able to track where it was delivered to (because UPS wouldn’t give me info) and it was confirmed to be delivered here, to my old apartment. My fiancé and I went there and spoke with the current resident and they stated that they gave it to the office. The receptionist stated it was there and it had been there for a while. In conclusion, we are now going to be taking them to small claims court. A report was filed.Obviously nobody confessed to taking it.

I was laid off from my job a few months ago and she has been extremely helpful, informative, patient and polite throughout this whole process. Ive been living here almost 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about the leasing staff. Very refreshing.

I woke up this morning to a call from the front office threatening to tow my vehicle. My wife and I have two cars, and mine is in uncovered free for all parking which if moved you end up circling the complex for hours until some fool moves. Except if you don’t move it within 7 days the complex will claim your car is inoperable. During COVID we don’t need to drive both vehicles. No signage posted about this rule. Incredibly rude customer service. And overall terrible experience today from a run down complex that can’t even keep cigarettes off the ground, or keep their back gate closed. Don’t believe the salespeople go somewhere else.

Lived here for a couple months now. Community is super quiet. Very friendly and pet friendly. My kids love there is a basketball court. Very easy to put request in to have things replaced or addressed instead of having to go to the office. Very convenient.

I absolutely love the layout of my apartment and it has plenty of storage space. I have lived here since June 2020 and Ive had nothing but great service from the people who work in the leasing office.The office manager, Catie Cranny, has been extremely helpful and nice. We were having a hard time paying rent this month due to Covid-19. I finally heard back from the church and they were able to pay my rent today. Catie ended up waiving the late fees for me which helped us tremendously. I would definitely recommend living here.

If you want a seriously honest review, this is it! Read the entire thing please to know WHY its rated 5-Stars. Thanks in advance.So, my Wife and I moved in here back in March of 2020. We did so even after receiving a mediocre tour that was honestly rushed by Christine, A Leasing Agent who apparently no longer works here, but was a Leasing Agent at the time. Anyway, One of the biggest reasons my wife and I wanted to move in here was because of the cool Amenities they were offering before COVID hit. (though she moved in for the Granite counter tops lol) I mean a free daily Continental Breakfast, to me thats a big money saver in my book. Anyway, during the entire pandemic the Clubhouse/Kitchen has been locked up. which is fine. I just wish they have lowered the overall price to live here due to lack of certain promised Amenities. Ah yes, so back to our tour experience first.We were rushed by Christine, she was a little snide and short with us whenever we asked questions. Felt like we were inconveniencing her. She just didnt want to be there. (found out later she was just in a rush to clock out and go home for the day) a few things she never told us: 1. all the units dont have Garbage Disposals. Apparently it was a company wide choice to have them removed from ALL of their properties. (The Tides does the same thing for their Properties too.) she also never told us that wed be individually responsible for our water bills. (weird) which fluctuates in extremes. (it can get pretty high at times)Our time here so far has been decent. But the floors in the units are pretty thin and arent properly insulated to nullify the noise, so you constantly are going to hear every little sound the neighbors make from Walking, Talking, Children Playing, Arguing, Sex, Dogs If We can hear them, Im sure THEY can hear us. The floors and the walls are all quite thin and arent properly insulated from sound so we hear everything and i do mean Everything. Honestly we dont bother complaining about sound, because its just people living. Theres just no point in complaining about it. We knew prior to moving in the age of the place. It was built in the 80s afterall. No big deal really. Any of the maintenance issues were fixed pretty quickly and the maintenance crew was always so helpful and chill with us. very friendly to talk to as well.Towards the end when it came time to renew our lease, We had a huge massive barrage of issues hit my wife all at once. Personal stuff which sadly crushed our finances, and mental health. We were concerned of our future here. One of the leasing agents gave my wife the lowdown on possibly moving to a cheaper unit my wife had misunderstood some details and had us both freaking out. I called Katie (or is it Catie) the Assistant Manager, and she helped us for the last few weeks of this ordeal. The office team alone is getting 5-Stars. They showed us patience, compassion to our Plight and worked hard with us for a resolution, so we wouldnt be Homeless and on the streets. So..in short, We ended up renewing our lease and currently we are doing okay now. Thanks to every single person in that office who was kind and caring and showed us so much patience and understanding. Especially Katie! All of you have been so amazing to us since the day we moved in. Thank you so much for that.That experience alone in what changed my mind from giving this place a 3-Star to a 5-Star review. Not to mention I love the vintage feel this place has to it. Even if sometimes, its not entirely perfect. Its good enough for me. and I like it here. My wife still misses having a Garbage disposal though. lol

I have lived here for a year now, and I love it! They have free breakfast, 3 pools, a gym and beautiful interior! They started doing a lot of activities that are free to the residents like, yoga, scavenger hunts, food/coffee trucks. Its awesome. Its also very safe with their security. No bugs either!! The staff is very nice and professional. I cant wait for another great year here.

Pros-- Located by the interstate, easy commute to many places in the valley.-Exterior is well maintained. Looks nice.- Nice welcome center.- Dog friendly.-Washer and dryers included in every unit.-People friendly.Cons-Not responsive. My 1980s Refrigerator failed and it took them over 2 days to fix; food doesnt last that long in AZ... Have not returned phone calls in the past.- Shoddy workmanship. As mentioned before, the repairs to the apartment are shoddy and not professional. Many holes in the walls and base boards where filler was slapped on thick, not sanded and dozens of layers of paint slapped on as well. My water faucet nobs do not match. Old and rusty sink etc.-Parking: as mentioned before. There are not enough spots if you have more than one car. And, car parking spots are tiny. Very limited guest parking as well. Tow trucks frequent the complex to tow cars parked unlawfully, but they do not address the larger issue of parking problems in the complex.-Noise, I live on the ground floor so noise is to be expected, but easily the nosiest place Ive lived out out of every place Ive ever lived in, included in 3 different countries.- As mentioned before marijuana smell is omnipresent. I actually dont mind, but if its not your thing. Perhaps this place isnt.-I feel the enforcement of the rental agreement is arbitrary.All in all, If the cons do not bother you, its not a bad value for the money and you certainly could do worse.

The move out experience at Motif was very unpleasant for me last month! After being informed by Anthony that I could forgo hiring a carpet cleaning company and clean my carpets on my own, and after doing so on my time and at my expense, the Motif management told me that I needed to have them professionally cleaned and that Anthony misinformed me. Worse, even though I attempted to clarify this issue with the staff, especially Anthony, for a week (I called and left messages to have Anthony return my call at least 5 times; he returned my call once and reaffirmed that everything would be fine and that he would work to get the carpets inspected), I was told that I cannot hire the cleaners and oversee their work and the cost. Thus, I ultimately had no information for how much I would be charged. (Anthony had told me it would be $55, but Lizette, a manager, said she thought it would be $90.) More or less, I could’ve resolved this issue during my last week if Anthony would’ve shared the correct information with me, and the staff would’ve returned my phone calls. What happened instead, management informed me that I didn’t have any options, and they’d end up with full responsibility for overseeing the carpet cleaning and cost. (Interestingly, the cleaning turned out to be only $50, and they used a different company than they told me I’d have to use!) They did gift me $50 for my trouble, which was nice of them, but does anyone actually believe they had the carpets cleaned for exactly $50 by a company they didn’t detail in their move out instructions? To top it all off, they charged me another $50 for apartment cleaning; no details about what I didn’t clean, of course. Sound a little fishy? That’s how Motif management works; or doesn’t work rather. Customer service is clearly not of high importance to the Motif management.(Below are pictures I took after my wife and I spent 2 hours cleaning the apartment)

Its a nice apartment complex. Maintenance is amazing. Anthony in the office gets results. Parking sucks. But when my vehicle tires and rims was stolen nothing could be done. l was told that we will let the one person who patrols 700 apartments watch the area more where my vehicle is parked. They make more than enough to install video surveillance. My advice move somewhere with cameras.

For the price and location, by far one of the best apartments to rent. Since the new remodeling, the apartments look amazing for the price. The staff have always been professional and courteous. I personally never had an issue with neighbors, noise, bugs, or poor appliances. Their maintenance team is also amazing, by far the best and fastest I have ever experienced. Of course its not perfect, but if you understand just how much they can or cant improve within their powers then it is really no big issue. For apartments worth $800 and up, by far check these guys out. Good luck Motiff!

The worst apartments I’ve ever been in!!!! Do not move here! It’s unprofessional and no one seems to care about the ppl that live her. The people in the office are not professional they give you false information! And I’m pretty sure they buy good reviews... never will I recommend anyone to live in these apartments! After living here for a full month now, I would not recommend renting here. There is very little parking if you want to have guests over. The apartment I got was missing vertical blinds, had a huge crack in the cabinet, weird colored stains in the granite, janky screen doors on the sliding glass to the patio, and there is an air conditioner condensation drip line coming from the ceiling in the bedroom that should drip into the sink but doesnt and makes a huge mess when the ac is on.All of that I could totally deal with. The worst part about living here is I paid more to live on the bottom floor for convenience. I expected some noise from the upstairs neighbors. But when I say every step they take up there makes a creeking and popping noise in my apartment. Its loud. Its annoying and I want to scream when trying to watch The Mandalorian. I cant fault the neighbor for simply walking or their dog walking above me. But that floor needs work. Theres no reason it should be that loose or whatever is going on. I assume its just because the apartments are old or something. They need to remodel more than just the lights, counters, and cabinets in this place for the money they charge.Also I had questions about the charges for water anf stuff on my account. I called asked for them to explain the charges cus they looked double. They said the average monthly price of shared community water, trash, sewage, and pest control is about 80 dollars. I got all that minus pest control I dont use or need from the city of glendale for a 3 bedroom house with a pool and 2 adults living there for less than 80 a month. They also told me that because of the way they bill the charges based on community use and occupancy they will look double and change monthly which seems odd...Anyway. Thats just my experience. I got 11 more months to live here and hope to buy a house by then.Happy hunting friends.Reply to reply: You want me to complain because the people are walking in the place they live? I lived here two years any problems I had were dealt with quickly. Im moving onto the next stage of my life or honestly I would still be here. The move out process was really easy. I received my statement and I was charged for cleaning. I was able to reach out inquire why and let them know I hired cleaners who were there three hours. They asked for the receipt and adjusted the move out statement for me. No stress no fuss. Super helpful. Pre Covid I enjoyed all of the amenities and they really value their tenants. This is a great place to live and I hope they dont change because they are doing things right.

I reported Christina threatened me on the phone.For the housing I’m staying,1. there are tons of pigeon’s poop on the balcony that you have to clean everyday.2. Feels like I’m sleeping on the street because of noise from the passing by vehicles, no sound proof at all.3. And the carpet is old and broken, it can easily hurt your feet for a lot of areas.

Came to this establishment to help a family member move out. I parked behind the leasing office and one of their leasing agents parked next to me. She parked pretty close to my car and DINGED my passenger door!!! She didnt even bother to look if she left a mark. I honked my horn and yelled at her. All she said was Im sorry and walked away. If you cant park a Nissan car then dont drive one. Hopefully, everyone sees this and decides to find another place to rent!

There is always good and bad to everything, so here is my good and bad about living here for 2 years. Let’s start with the bad the parking too big of a complex to accommodate everyone if you are going to move here make sure your ok with only having a parking available. If you own 2 cars good luck finding a parking space for your other car. The good well I lived very good for the 2 years I stayed there the staff is amazing never did I have a problem with service request they take care of any problem very quick. The upgraded apartments are very nice.

Lovely community. The one bedroom is so roomy. The staff in the office is great. They really do care of you! The also have so many events it’s super cool! Maintenance also goes above and beyond to ensure your apartment is great. I even got my friend to lease here and we both love it!

Every time I need it help it was provide by most of the people that was there but the maintenance service was the best one I had sense I used to be 18 n living on my own. Lived here for a year and absolutely hated it. Parking is terrible but the staff in the office are worse. They towed my truck even though it was in NOT an illegal spot. Then went in to the office to ask why it was towed. All staff dismissed us and told us to “check the handbook” when there was nothing that stated why we couldn’t park where we did. A worker there also started bragging about how she does need to worry about that because she has her own house and parking??? Maintenance also broke our window and the office made it seem like it was inconvenience to them to fix it. They didnt even apologize for breaking our window. They came in while we were at work and said they patched it up and cleaned up all the glass. Came home and there was glass EVERYWHERE. (Keep in mind I have a dog running around my apartment who could have ate the glass) Manager was rude and said we being dramatic because she “knows they cleaned it up” When we told her we have pictures of the mess and was going to tell the higher offices, she tried to bribe us with a gift card.When moving out, they charged me for dumb things. And when we paid it immediately, they never took on their end of the portal. They filed a claim and it showed up on background checks which couldn’t let me apply for new apartments. How is it my fault they never took the money that was sitting in the portal for 5 months? We also reminded them that it was in the portal and we never got a response. Do NOT move here, it is not worth it.

My husband and I are moving from Missouri to Phoenix and I cannot boast enough about Motif. They have made the application process so simple and easy for us. Every person in the office has been beyond helpful and prompt with emailing and answering the multiple questions we have had with this being our first apartment we have rented. I am beyond thrilled with the service we have received and cannot wait to move in.

The office was not organized nor was there was horrid customer service. The leasing agent named Anthony straight lied to get us to sign, then wouldn’t hold any of the promises he gave... The apartment maintenance was slow and non receptive, I told them my ac was out and they gave me a air filter and had me and my children in the heat for over 24 hours... Cockroaches come out the sewers and are commonly crawling in the outside of your door when you arrive home... The pool gave my daughter a crazy rash where we had to take her to the emergency room and they said it was chlorine burns.... Overall the worst place I’ve ever lived, so glad to be out of there!.. Save yourself the heartache!!

Ill start with the positive on Motif. The grounds are always well manicured, buildings are nicely painted outside, they have free breakfast, and a multitude of activities. However, the parking is inadequate. Youll get a covered spot, but dont plan on having any visitors because theyll circle around the property for at least 30-45 minutes to find an open spot (if theyre lucky). Management knows this is an issue because you can read about it in older reviews. Current management is really apologetic when its brought to their attention, but the issue doesnt look like it will be fixed anytime soon. The other issue is the constant smell of people (tenants) smoking weed. Im older so I outgrew this in my college years. Kinda brings the facility down, in regards to character/class. The last issue is small, but still noticeable. In my apartment, I can tell when theyve done repairs (plumbing, door, wall). Nothing looks as if it was sanded down or taped off when they painted. Appears as if they slapped some stucco/molly on the walls/doors/door frames and threw some paint on it. VERY patchwork. I can literally see were the previous tenant hung their tv (wall texture is uneven). The light switches were never taped or removed when they painted because you can see the layers of paint. With rent being so high, things like this matter. I cant say that Ill renew my lease.

Team here told me if I pay rent before court they would dismiss charges. They did not communicate with the lawyers and processed an eviction through the courts I even renewed my lease after this happened. Now that I have moved out to relocate I have 2 evictions from the same place because they didnt communicate with their legal team properly. Among this and a plethora of failed efforts in communications on the complex itself I would STRONGLY recommend that you stay away from this place they will tell you one thing and do another. Luckily I have emails from their behavior and a legal team representing me over the issues

My first apt ever and ALL of the staff have been so amazing, kind and caring to me. I just won a 43 inch 4k ultra HD TV just for renewing my lease. Like what other apartments do that? This place and company know how to keep their tenants happy. I appreciate this place so much, its been a true blessing living here. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!

I’ve lived here for three years and for the most part it’s been wonderful! I enjoy the convenience of having a washer & dryer in my apartment. I appreciate the large closets & patio storage. Maintenance personnel always resolve any issues quickly - even changing light bulbs! I also appreciate the convenience of paying my rent online*** I am handicapped & office rep just made me walk to office to put me on pest control list. I explained I cannot move furniture & asked for help. She said they couldn’t. I explained I can’t partake of amenities, like breakfast, because it’s in the back of the complex. What advantages do I have here? They don’t even have a handicapped access in front of my apartment even though I have provided doctor documentation & have been requesting it for 3 years!!!

This place isnt terrible, but should be cheaper for what you get. We live in one of the renovated units which is older but nice and it feels well built. Our carpet is old and not installed properly. Its not tucked in around the edges, and when we put in a work order someone just tacked a few extra nails in. We have our own carpet cleaner that we use regularly and the first time we cleaned it, the water came up black. Clearly it wasnt cleaned before we moved in. Every individual maintenance or office staff person I have met has been friendly, but the overall policies are extremely inconvenient. They dont notify you when a package is received at their office, but they send it back within 3 days if you dont pick it up... (Edit, actually they dont send it back.) How am I supposed to know its there if they dont call you? We lucked out and were able to buy an extra parking spot but I cant imagine trying to live here with only one. We havent had a single issue with pests but take full advantage of preventive treatments provided by the apartments twice a month. Im glad that we ended up here especially because we moved out of state and couldnt check any apartments out before putting down a deposit. But Ill be glad when our lease is up and we buy a house.Correction: After a response from the apartment management, apparently packages are only returned if there is no apartment number. So thats good.

I cannot wait to move out honestly, Motif apartments have been such a horrible experience. The apartment is very old, and the carpets were disgusting. I had asked in the beginning to please have carpets changed, but they only sent someone to clean them, and they still looked disgusting, there was only a lemon scent after the cleaners left. Afterwards motif reporting to my partners credit report inaccurate information “derogatory mark” from 2015or 2016. All because the resident from back then possibly didn’t pay their bill or something, and had the same last name as my partners. Motif DID NOTHING RESOLVE THIS. My partner and I had to get in contact with the collection agency who reported this and were able to prove that indeed the person was a whole different first name, and age. The only thing that person had in common with my partner was the last name. I had to reach out to the CBR and submit a dispute thankfully they were able to adjust everything and remove the incorrect info that was reported. My partner and I have only lived at motif in Aug of 2019. On top of that the we have been having moths appear out of no where, my thoughts are that they are coming from the air vents, but because these are apartments I believe we share the air vents with the other residents in the building. My partner and I do our part in maintaining our apartment as clean as possible, and constantly cleaning fans and changing out the a/c filter. But we can only do that much. When I submitted a work order for an exterminator nobody ever came. I am beyond disappointed, and I just can’t wait till my lease is up to leave this dump.

For all future resident please be advised that this place does not have enough parking spaces for each and every resident here. Their property is too big and does not have the sufficient parking spaces for each resident. They assign you a parking spot per apartment but don’t even have a spot to put you in...They have your car towed and don’t notify you which is illegal.And they tow the cars for no reason.You have 1acre of empty land to make more parking spots do it...Another thing is they have forms here and don’t tell you.Worst place to live ever DO NOT MOVE HERE

The move in was amazing. Super seemless and everyone in the office was so helpful with every question I had. The neighborhood is amazing and is surrounded by great places to get food and grocery shop. Plus its right on the highway, who can beat that?! I also want to give my sincere thanks to Shelby who helped me since day one. As a new home owner/renter I was nervous and scared about the whole setup but Shelby helped me with everything and took my worries away. Shes amazing as well as everyone on the staff. I have read all the negatives but I have to say that for the 2 years Ive lived here I have only positives to say. Their maintenance crews are awesome. They fix everything very quickly. They are so nice in the office too. When youre nice to people they will be nice to you. Ive had no problems with the residents and because people dont care about picking up their dog poop they pick it up timely. I like it here. Not perfect but all around good experience.

So far so good!! I have been here over a month so far and have no serious complaints. The entire move in process was simple and painless and actually exciting. The apartment looks great and everything was brand new. For such a huge complex, the office staff is on top of everything. The leasing manager Rudy (I believe is his name) is extremely professional and really made me feel like he truly cares about the residents and the property. Addy was such a doll and made it such an exciting process and she saved me some money, on my move in, by letting me spin the wheel! The complex is clean and I see employees picking up trash every single morning. No bug problems at all, trash is picked up like 2 times a week so it rarely piles up, and they continue to make improvements to the property daily. It is surprisingly quiet for being next to the freeway and for it being such a large property. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone!! Thank you Motif for making me feel at home!

I moved in in August and wanted to wait and see everything before I spoke on anything. I have a renovated unit and its everything that I was told it would be. I am in love with my unit, and I like the location, the neighborhood upkeep, and the noise (or lack thereof). The only things that I absolutely hate are the miniature parking spots and lack of open unassigned spots, and the shared water bill. For one person in a one bedroom, Im paying $80 a month for water....RIDICULOUS. However, I knew that before I decided to move here so it obviously wasnt a deal breaker for me. My neighbor doesnt seem to like taking the trash to the dumpster so instead puts it outside our doors for DAYS which I believe is trifling as he** but its been better lately(~24Hrs). I had one major issue with a leak my first week and maintenance completely blew it off to the point that I had to go and demand a manager after multiple complaints about it but once I did, he was very professional and had it taken care of that day. Overall, I did A LOT of apartment shopping before I chose to live at Motif and despite its flaws, its a great place to live. Great value and I love my home!

Ive lived here for 5 years and Ive been through two other management companies. The current management company is by far the best of them all and has done a great job redesigning the grounds, screening residents, greatly enhancing the maintenance experience and timeline and upgrading the units. They are clearly committed to creating a beautiful community for us to live in. The only explanation for any ratings lower than four or five is from people who were declined, evicted, or just dont take responsibility for their own life in general. I highly recommend this community if you want a safe, sane, beautiful and enjoyable place to live!

Im not sure this should be a 3 star - Maintenance staff is definitely a 5 star the maintenance crew are about the only staff that are great. I will give John and Anthony in the leasing office a 5 as well, but as for Maria and other other leasing staff I would give a 1 star....I have lived here for 6 months and for the most part it was OK... Moving out is a pain if you live here be aware that you will have a 3 or 4 page cleaning moving out list. The leasing office wont bother to contact you regarding your move out costs so watch out... If and I mean if they call you they will talk in circles and not really answer your questions. Make sure you ask if utilities are in arrears or not. The lights in walk ways to out a lot, so it is very dark. A lot of residents dont pick up after pets so watch for poop. There are a lot of big dogs, most are good. I will say my neighbors were great and I will miss them. I am a bit upset that I had to call corporate before the leasing office even bothered to call me back about my move out costs, I still dont agree with them but I am ready to move so Im just going with it. I think they are still charging me too much, but they only call while Im at work because they leave at 5 and unfortunately I cant deal with that distraction at work.

This place is a joke. When my girlfriend and i moved in, we wanted a 12 month lease.. they said they weren’t able to give us that due to people moving out at different times. I don’t see how you can’t put a 12- month lease on an a unit that isn’t being used. So because of this I had to pay more in rent. The parking is terrible, they only give you one parking permit. And the women in the front office are rude. There’s all sorts of transients walking around in the front because it isn’t gated & not to mention there are TOO MANY CATS on the premises. I will not be renewing my lease.

The apartments are nice for the price you are paying. They are a bit older, so you will be able to hear your upstairs neighbors. And like others stated, the parking can be awful but they really try to be persistent about cars that have been sitting for too long in the same spot. The office seems to lack some communication between each other but when you find one that listens stick to only talking to that one to ensure things get taken care. The grounds are always clean, the work orders always get taken quickly.

So I had a pretty bad review on here. I have to change it. The managers of this apartment are constantly working to improve the property. Every single complaint I had were either not the complexes fault or handled in a timely manner. The old apartments do have things wrong with them but its not lack of maintenance. The maintenance guys are knowledgeable and competent. The front office is understaffed but are working to remedy this. And they will bend over backwards to help you out. If you move here the renovated apartments are well worth the price. Modern and new. These guys turned a one star into a five star.

At first i didnt think this place was so bad. What really frustrated me was that I was a very good resident and yet got taken full advantage of. As I moved out I cleaned up. I was charged for leaving 4 bags of garbage when I have pictures that none were left. I got the full charge for touch up paint (85 dollars) when I never put a nail or any ding into the wall. I got charged for a new fridge (250 dollars) and it worked perfectly and had no issues. Not sure if everyone gets charged 50 dollars to change locks but I did. The AC went out multiple times while living there. Was charged a late fee when rent wasnt even late, the office manager even said he would put it in the notes not to charge me but I was in fact still charged an extra 135 on top of my rent. I have already contacted my lawyer and left him all the photos from when I moved out and will not pay until its sorted out with them. They also copy and pasted my signature on the final inspection form from a different document I signed.For anyone looking to live here I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere unless you want a low quality living that will take full advantage of you as they can.

I just moved within the last week and I absolutely love it. The only issue Ive had since moving in was my door knob being loose. I submitted a request yesterday evening and it was fixed when I got home from work today!The only real complaint I have is the move in process. While everyone in the office is very nice and professional, it feels like nobody was on the same page as far as what was needed for me to move in, so it was a very stressful process that I feel could have been smoother.My apartment has a really unique layout that I absolutely love, and so much natural lighting. So far I love the property and those who manage it.

Units over priced.Staff constantly changing out.Office staff frequently confused by basic property questions.Maintenance was a joke.Placed 3 work orders for AC repair, over 2 months, because staff kept forgetting to input order.Police are frequently seen chasing people,Police chopper hovers over property couples times a week.-I watched a carjacking in the parking lot.-Ive watched a guy shoot his gun into another tenants car.-heard gunshots in middle of the day near my unit-watched kids get in front of passing car and started fights with occupants.

RUN AWAY. RUN FAR AWAY.abysmal place to live. If you have any plans on having guests over do not get this apartment. They dont respond to reports of cars parking improperly or being out of use and taking up a space. I have yet to hear back on whether people with covered parking are even allowed to use uncovered parking when they already have a spot! Maintenance is okay, indoor work is as good as it can be but they havent fixed the light fixture and ceiling in our outside hallway that leaks water when it rains. Way overpriced for how unsafe the neighborhood is.UPDATE: water damage is still prevalent in our entry way and they say they cant fix it 🤦 more like wont fix itLeasing office apparently charges for carpet cleaning before youre allowed to put a 30 day notice of vacating. (Cleaning that wont be completed until after we leave) We are happy to pay fees when we leave the apartment after weve had opportunities to clean after weve actually moved out. And whats the point of paying 200$ non refundable for a pet when that money isnt going towards cleaning the place to begin with? Did I seriously pay 200$ on top of our large deposit for the apartment just so they can say they cant take it out of either for the work? Good luck retaining tenants.Not to mention when we brought up these concerns they treated us like children and talked down to my husband.And the real kicker is that they raised the rent by $200 for a 12 month lease renewal and by 600$ if we just wanted an extra month to get our things in order.Maintenance doesnt ever seen happy about having to do their job, leasing staff are obviously only nice to you when initially signing you on for a lease and turn stone cold about any of your concerns. Just please, run away before your looped into their greedy system.

Really starting to enjoy this place more! I have been here for a year and saw the changes being made. I can honestly say the new office staff and management are awesome fast, very helpful (especially Rudy), and feels more welcoming than before. Definitely enjoying the improvements. Jacuzzi actually works not like before, pavement is getting fixed, new color to buildings is a nice change, front entrance is getting re-done. Excited to renew my lease for another 9 months and hopefully move in to the new renovated ones after.Only bad thing that has not been fixed is the parking space. They are too small and not enough uncovered spots. My pathfinder barely fits in my spot. I still give it 4 stars, dont believe its something to get crazy mad about.
