This is a lengthy review but worth the read. TLDR: lazy management, sketchy area, overpriced apartments! My roommate and I lived in this complex for 2 years. The management has been sketchy, but recently seem to have somewhat gotten their act together. We initially toured the facility and applied with Matthew as the property manager in 2019 then signed the move-in cost sheet, lease, and paid the full move-in balance. I received a call two weeks before the move in date from a woman letting us know that unit 213 that we signed the lease for had occupants that were not leaving anytime soon. She also told me that Matthew had been let go from the company. So just days before driving across the country to move, I was now trying to fix the lease, insurance, and billing. A property assistant by the name of Hannah had been given our issue to deal with. I was told by Hannah that we owed an additional couple hundred dollars for move-in costs on top of the amount we already paid. Our ‘new lease’ for the available unit started a few days after the original lease was signed, so we should have received a credit for the prorated rent, not to pay more. This resulted in hours of back-and-forth phone calls with Hannah’s negligence and confusion. After moving in the later half of that month, we received our statement for the upcoming month. Because of Hannahs miscalculation on prorated rent and inability to compute simple math, our next months statement was $200 short. This miscalculation on her part insured late fees to be accrued on our account after that months statement had been issued and paid for. There was obviously a lot of change in management during this time, as the confusion meant they lashed out at their paying tenants. Bad business if you ask me. I ended up going into the office to dispute these charges, why would I knowingly pay most (but not all) of my rent? The gentleman I interacted with I never saw again at the office, but he was rude, trashy, and continually suggested that this issue was my fault when I had numerous emailed copies of Hannahs previous miscalculations. He took that extra $200 needed for rent out of our security deposit, while belittling me making sure I know what amount to pay per month for rent.Issues with the ditsy management and communication insured once again six months later. I had reached out via email to the management to set up a pest control appointment after I heard scratching within the AC vents. Lo and behold that appointment was never scheduled and a rat infestation had accumulated in my apartment a month after. The unfortunate timing of the Covid lockdown fell within the time that pest control set up traps, where my roommate and I had left to quarantine in a different state altogether. It took 2 months, where I would call twice a week, until the situation was resolved. There are many offhand examples of the management being poor communicators to the residents, including my roommate getting her car towed twice in 2 days for expired registration, when she was waiting for it in the mail. Also, the water had been shut off for the building twice in 24 hours, yet no one was made aware before or during. If you need to get a hold of the office and they don’t pick up the first time, call them a second time right after. I truly believe they blocked my number at the office, as when I *67 the number they pick up immediately. They will close the office early without any notice. These apartments are not worth the inflated price, the amenities and management staff are pretty lacking. The surrounding area especially is not safe. Every time you head out the gates there are transient people tweaking out. I would never go outside the complex after dark! The one redeeming quality in the staffing is the maintenance handler, Arnold. He’s amazing and sweet, thank God for him! Overall, I would look elsewhere for a place to live.

My partner and I recently went to the property looking to lease a unit for jun 10th. We went on the 27th of March 2021. The problem: The place is great. It looks nice and the community seem clean from the outside. We spoke to a lady name Ashley Hernandez about the available units, and end up liking unit 203. Right after speaking to her. We decided to apply for unit 203. There was a holding fee of $292.82 after applying for the unit. Ashley Hernandez told us that we will get our holding fee back if we decide otherwise. - Ashley did not state that our holding fee would be revoked after 48hrs. - Ashley asked if we had any pets during the visit, my partner said no and I told her not yet. She did not inform us what pets are acceptable and what was not after we stated that we did not have any pets at the moment. - The office was close on Sunday and Monday, and we applied on Saturday. We decided to lose interest with the Apt after finding out that Ferrets were not allowed. Since the apartment office was closed on Sunday and Monday, we had no choice but to wait till Tuesday to speak to her. Mind you, there were no mention of revoking the holding fee after 48hr on their website as well. (Tuesday) TODAY, 30th March 2021: I called to let her know that we were no longer interested with the unit due to the reason above. Ashley saidI asked you guys if you guys had any pets and you guys said no. Since it has been longer than 48hrs, but I will speak to my manager and call back despite the response. I thanked her and said ok, before I could ask when she was going to call back, the phone was hanged. I called again after 10minutes to check when she was going to call me back. Ashely answered and said she got her managers answer. Apparently, her manager said that the holding fee was not refundable because it has been more than 48hrs. Our conversation ended, and I called for the third time to tell her that they were close on Sunday and Monday, which is the reason that we were late. I also wanted to tell her that she did not mention revoking our holding fees after 48 hours. She did not answer the phone call. The first two calls took her less than a minute to answer but she did not bother answering my third call.

Was visiting from MN and set up a showing for an apartment that showed available in April around the time I planned on moving to AZ. Drove 30 minutes from my current location only to get turned around and told there are no available apartments to show me today and that unit is no longer available supposedly. I received no call nor an email advising that the apartment was no longer available. The staff excuse was that there was a temp working over the weekend and she forgot to call, even though I could have still received a call Monday or even that morning of the scheduled showing. I was very disappointed on how I was treated because this apartment really caught my eyes and I was really excited to view the property, but I guess it was not meant to be!

I would recommend these apartments. The leasing manager Lillie and property manager Liz are AMAZING! At the beginning of our lease there were some management issues but once these two ladies were brought in things completely changed. They actually care about the tenants and were quick to act on any issues brought to their attention. They went above and beyond for my family which was extremely appreciated. If youve ever had an experience in the past where you feel like your landlord or the properties management could careless I fully recommend giving this place a chance because it will completely change your mind on how things should be handled.

Juniper Meadows apartments have gone down hill. We moved here 08/2017 and it was a nice place to live. Then the sold it to 5th Avenue and its been a mess. If you need a repair it takes days for them to repair it, my garbage disposal went out and my apartment stunk so bad and to them that is not an emergency. Which I get its summer AC unites break down, but if youre that busy and summer does not creep up on you, you should have back up maintenance people. I had to live with the garbage disposal stench for days.

Lived here for 2yrs now didnt have any issues till new management company came in having mold issues waiting over 2 weeks for someone to clean and now having my special needs adult scooter threatened to be towed having plates and register with state reason they believed it to be stored because my son only uses to go around corner being profiled from neighbors according to office excuse.bad management to tennants and maintenance efficiency lacks. Being charged 40$ fee just to pay rent and not get it refunded on next month rent .

I lived at this apartment complex for two years and never had good management until Liz and Lily took over in the office. They have completely turned this complex around making sure residents get the maintenance work they need in a timely manner and they genuinely care about residents concerns. The pool area has been re-done and the apartments are beautiful. Lily is the leasing manager while Liz manages the property but both of them are amazing and willing to help whenever you need it.

My boyfriend and I lived here for the last year and we loved it! Its a beautiful and quiet property with friendly neighbors. Maintanence is outstanding and very prompt, and there are weekly landscapers who keep the complex looking great. The office manager, Christina is absolutely AMAZING! She is friendly, helpful, gets to know and befriend the residents, and overall is the BEST manager Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. Unfortunately, we ended our lease after a year, but only because we needed a backyard for our dog and his 5 year old. If it wasnt for this reason, we would definitely keep renewing our lease for years!

We moved into Juniper meadows July of 2012. The day we moved in we arrived past midnight because our moving truck broke down and had to be towed in. When we arrived not 1 but 2 residents at this apartment showed up and helped us move all our stuff into our new apartment. A huge help! At first it looked smaller than expected but after unpacking everything fits nicely and no longer looks small. Its quite roomy actually. Granted its not our 4 bedroom house we moved from but not bad for an apartment. No problems so far. Matt the maintenance guy is great and quick. Shelly the manager is very friendly. Though she is pregnant right now so management may change after she has her baby. The complex is small and quiet, its nice. You dont get lost in a maze like a lot of complexes. Pool is decent. The complex has well maintained grounds with nice landscaping. Best price we could find for the footage and quality this close to Midwestern university. My husband rides his bike to school everyday with no problem. All in all we very much like it here and hope to stay as long as we can. I would definitely recommend living here to others if a 2bd apartment close to Midwestern was what they were looking for.

Gorgeous apartments, nicely maintained. Well placed right off Bell Rd, you can get to anything quickly. There was a nice community feeling to the place, the pool was always clean and ready for you. Maintenance calls were answered promptly. I regretted moving for my transfer! One of the nicest places I have ever rented at.

Think again before moving into juniper meadowsIt was a great complex when we moved in almost a year ago untill the complex was sold in march to ave 5. Since then mangagement has changed 3 times and not for the better. One manger substited, 2nd manger walked out with no notice , 3rd manger was fired for finagling the books. When moving in prior to complex selling it was under great mangment i had medical companion pets due to my medical condition.Recently in aug under new we had to move due to my condition the previous manger who was fired. Did not put my medical info in from the previous surgeries i hadWe had a payment arangment made from previous manger with out the knowledge of him being fired till we went into make our 1st payment which current manger refused. She was rude & didnt listen to what we had to say just stating thier collection dept would handle it this all could of been resolved had corperate was able to look into this but instead was sent to collections even with showing her we had proof of breaking our lease with writen documentation from a licenced dr due to my condition worsening she sent us to thier collection agency and were making payments thru them but only problem is they wouldnt even except my medical dr note that i got from my dr for breaking our leaseThe only promised they kept was for honoring the amount of said amount to be paid. We tried every attempt to work with them but they would not listen to reasonIf ur looking for an apt i sugest looking else where10/16/19In response from the owner on my review i tried to show proof to ur new manger who was clearly rude and wouldnt listen to reason even when showing the proof but yet it still got sent to collections whats ur point she doesnt have a say its corperate who does and i doubt they know anything about this

I have lived here for five years with my wife and son....we love it .we loved Diana we loved Shelley we LOVED Janet and now we love Christina. they have all been very professional and caring and helpful...no one in the area comes close to any of them for great customer service. thats why we havent moved.we have looked around we just cant justify moving cause NOBODY comes close to the price for apt , fo r water sewer and trash,.cleanliness of the grounds.no bugs and the best customer service anywhere.,it doesnt make sense, but its the truth.,its the best price and place around, period. Everybods rent is high .... but you may as well get the best price for the dollar . even their sister properties cant compare. stop .... looking save time come here ..... Scot j.
