Alanza Place is great!! Very quiet, people mind their business. PERFECT location North Phoenix (by Airport.) Everything I need is within 10-20 minutes away. Been here 2 years, no complaints. If you have any maintenance issues (which is rare) they are GREAT & fast. ESPECIALLY Adan!! He always takes care of us, very professional & knows his stuff!! If he can make it happen, he does!

I’m a recent resident and did a lot of research on this property prior to moving in and my process was absolutely amazing! Dawn in the leasing office was always so kind and helpful, she always checked on me and offered assistance every step of the way. The entire leasing office was always courteous and made sure all of my paperwork was correct. Tracy always gave a helping hand and made me feel important. Maintenance is fast and reliable, the area is clean and so far I feel at home. This is a great complex and very affordable, I would highly recommend.

Today it was 118 degrees, and my AC went out… As I was sitting here sweating and complaining, I thought to myself: “hey, it could always be worse... I could still be living at Alanza Place with no water half the time and the fire alarms regularly going off in the middle of the night”... Then I laughed out loud and felt better about my day. That pretty much sums up what it was like to live at Alanza Place. Just thought I’d let you guys know 👍🏻

Lived here for a little over two months and I have no complaints! One of the best, well-maintained, and affordable apartments I have ever lived in. Staff has always been helpful when needed, but I have not needed much here. Thus far I’ve never had a problem with noise, parking, or with it being dirty, like some of my previous experiences. I’d definitely recommend living here!

I am really enjoying my new apartment at Alanza Place. Although the initial start left a lot to be desired. Apparently around the time I was applying for my new apartment, a new management company took over. Their website had wrong apartments and wrong rental rates. The apartment I Applied for, was not the floorplan they had on their website. So after a month of back-and-forth I took a different apartment, and I’m very satisfied with the apartment that I do have. The office manager worked very hard to make sure things were right before my move-in date. I love the floor plan, and the upgrades that the complex has done are very quality upgrades. The cleaning crew they have working around the apartment complex is amazing. They do their best to keep up with vacuuming and mopping the floors in hallways. The apartment complex does have a dog run. But there is so much dog poop in that dog run because people don’t clean up after their pets it’s not even worth using. This is a great location. So I’m glad I did move in

I have lived at this apartment complex for over 2 years and I really love it. I love the view from my apartment and the size and space. I like the amenities and color scheme. The maintenance team are very well respectful. They handled my request in less than 24 hours. Dawn, Elisa and the new management staff are very attentative. I have not had any problems with this complex, nor the community. Its a great location and I have and will continue to recommended Alanza Place to several people.

They wake up the entire building. I would rather deal with a little dust and get my sleep.

I absolutely love living at Alanza Place. From my apt, I have great views of Camelback and South Mountain and the Papago Rock (I think that is what it is). The community has good shopping options and is conveniently located next to the 202 and the 143 that connects to all the highways easily and again I have the best views from my apt. Although it is conveniently very close to the Airport, we never hear the planes. Ive lived here for 3 years now and plan on renewing for a 4th, if they do not go up too excessively on the rent next year.I moved here for convenience of living very close to my work office, and have come to love the community and its amenities.

When my husband and I toured Alanza Place in November 2020, we were set on the spacious 1 bedroom 908 sq ft unit. The only issue was we could not apply until closer to our move-in timeframe, February 2021. I checked the website every couple days during the end of December and beginning of January, hoping we could get into one of their still available 908 sq ft units or find one that was being vacated during February. Finally a unit was available early February and was advertised as the 908 sq ft. We applied online and were working closely with a rep from the office. She mentioned at first that there was an issue with the online system that she couldn’t match the unit # to the 908 sq ft, but assured us everything would be worked out. This was all in early January, so after several phone calls from the office rep collecting all the documents needed from us and confirming we were moving into the 908 sq ft unit, we show up a month later for move in. We receive keys and go to look at the empty unit, and find that they have given us a smaller 1 bedroom 732 sq ft unit. According to the office, this was due to the issue with their online system that no one noticed, that the unit # was for the smaller unit and there was no action taken to make sure we would be moved into the bigger unit. All of their 908 sq ft units were rented out by that point and there was nothing they could do, and informed us we had to stay in the smaller unit for the full 12 month lease. They had the contract arranged for the price of the larger unit so had to alter that same day as our move-in. My husband and I had to let go of a lot of personal items as we moved since storage is a fraction of what we need in the smaller unit. We have considered breaking the lease early since this whole experience has been so disappointing and we are very unhappy in this smaller unit. We will no longer live in any Greystar managed properties.

Meaning police patrolling the apartment community. #3 shout out out to the maintenance team. You addressed my maintenince concern in a timely manner. Thank you. I also would like to acknowledge Dawn and Elisa. You have both been very helpful and kind. In terms of my apartment, the interior upgrades are really nice. You’ll find a lot of positive reviews citing the good management here. Well they were replaced with different folks earlier this year and things have not been the same. There are some really disrespectful people that live here and the office staff don’t answer their phones, don’t return your calls, and don’t respond to your emails. In my case I had a very loud neighbor and ended up moving out and paying the early termination fee because it disrupted my working from home. I reported it multiple times but never received a response that they were looking into it. When you are able to talk to them in person they are very professional and courteous, it is just the lack of response. It is an OK place to live if you have good neighbors.*** Update: In response to the statement that there were no reports of disturbance made for several months - I wont get into the detail, but that is simply not true. Nobody reached out to me except to ask me if I had documentation, and this was after I submitted my notice to move. I would have expected documentation to be recorded by the office, which is the basis of my review.

UPDATE: I’ve now lived here about 10 months and there are a few things that made me rethink my desire to stay here. The elevator breaks often. I have a chronic pain syndrome that flares up worse more times than others and I depend on the elevator to get me to and from my apartment. I also get relief from the hot tub, except it’s been down more than it’s been working. That’s been really disappointing. We pay a community electric and water fee, which is fine except there have been extreme water leaks. So now our fees have doubled for water that is leaking, and we’re paying electricity to run a hot tub and elevator that don’t work. Things that seem trivial, but when it’s happening as often as it does here, and you pay as much as we pay here, it gets pretty frustrating. I was very much looking forward to extending my lease when it’s up in the next month, but I’ll be looking elsewhere.I have lived in an apartment in Alanza Place for nearly two months now, and I purposely waited to write my review so I could give a full honest review after the excitement of living somewhere new subsided. Needless to say, I am just as impressed now as I was when I toured. First of all, Katie on the leasing staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and down to earth when touring and applying. She has continued to stay this way, even after my move in. Previously in apartments, I find that this hospitality tends to disappear once you move in, but that’s not the case here. The maintenance crew are extremely professional and kind, I never feel stupid when asking a question or needing to put in a maintenance request. On that note, I’ve never waited longer than one business day to get a response to a request I put in, and have had them resolved and fixed in a very fast amount of time. I was very impressed by this. The apartments are beautiful, and everything is well maintained. Their bathtubs are HUGE, which was a selling point for me since I’m a big girl and rarely ever find a good sized tub in an apartment. The amenities are also very nice and convenient. I read the previous reviews before applying, and I was hesitant but I can honestly say I haven’t experienced any of the issues others have complained about. The fire alarms haven’t gone off once in my time here, and I never hear my neighbors. However, I do live on the top floor so I can’t speak for upstairs noises. The complex is extremely accessible for disabled folks, and has elevators on each end of the building. All of the residents I’ve met are exceptionally nice and it is very pet friendly— which was a must for me.The neighborhood speaks for itself, if you’re looking for an apartment in this area, you already know what’s around here. Definitely keep this place on your list of homes to consider! You won’t be disappointed, I’m not, and I’ve been known to be very picky in other complexes. Alanza place has it all, and I feel right at home.

Alanza Place instructed me to apply for the same apartment four separate times with the promise that all my payments would be applied towards my first months rent. But then once they got all my money they completely cut off ALL contact. Called every day, emailed, you name it. They only even called me back when I left a google review. They FINALLY called me back to say that the apartment I applied for had been rented out so they denied the application! Said they would try to get me a refund. I have been calling every day for a month with no response. Finally the manager emails me to say shes sending me 75.00 in gift cards?? Like what?? Each application was 40.00. I understand not getting my first payment back, I knew the risk. But the next 3 payments that I was INSTRUCTED to pay total out to 120.00 of cash NOT gift cards. Dont even apply here my guys such a scam. Office is not organized and will rip you off then avoid contact because no one wants to take responsibility for their actions.

Just signed our lease to move into our town home in July and we cannot WAIT to move-in! The grounds were pristine, the price was right for the FANTASTIC location, and the management was friendly and knowledgeable. The management only had one staff on hand, as it was Sunday, and Katie juggled the many guests she had in the lobby with kindness and care. I talked with multiple people who were either renewing leases or leaving and all had great things to say about our upcoming home. Even those who were moving out said they enjoyed their stay and only left to purchase their own property.

Worst place Ive ever lived. My life was a nightmare! Fire alarms would go off almost every day for no reason. It was really annoying especially because I just had a baby. I use to have to drive off the complex while in pain so that my baby could sleep. Everything in my overpriced townhome was always broken. I had that issue from the day I moved in until the day I moved out. Mold was in one of my toilets because it was broken. The first guy that came to fix it said that it was not broken but I kept on getting mold even if I cleaned it every day. Had to do multiple service request to get it fixed and finally got it fixed when I was about to leave. In all, I did like 30 service requests on my profile alone and I only lived there for like 10 months. I would never recommend this place. The entire staff sucks! (YOU CAN READ THE OTHER REVIEWS FOR YOURSELF REGARDING THE FIRE ALARM! IM PRETTY SURE IT WENT OFF MORE THAN 5 TIMES WHILE I WAS LIVING THERE.)

I just moved out after 2 years and I cant say I have any complaints that the management had control over (neighbors)! They were prompt with any work order, my apartment was in great condition when I moved in as promised and staff always treated me well! My utilities were usually low/consistent each month, my place was extremely quiet for being right next to an elevator and they made efforts to clean the common areas (carpet, elevator, etc) frequently. Weve lived here since May 2016, and the only good thing about this place is the view of the city from our 4th floor apartment. In October 2016 the management changed and they fired the entire staff. All of the friendly people who worked and LIVED here and helped us all of the time were suddenly gone and replace by a staff of fools. My mail is constantly lost now, theyre always marking the wrong apt number on deliveries they receive, they close early almost daily, and theyre rude. Dont go in to ask a question unless you want them to try to make you feel stupid or turn things around to feel like everything is your fault. There is also only one guy who makes maintenance repairs for the whole building. As far as the apartments themselves, they have horrible circulation so youll run your AC all day/night to cool half your house, and pay over $300 a month for electricity in the summer. We asked them to come look at our AC and make sure it was working, and they said it was, it just didnt have enough power to circulate through our 2 bedroom apt, and that was the old staff that we actually trusted. They also do not cool the elevator or the hallways, so its like walking through a sauna to get to your home every day. You basically feel like a dog in a hot car while riding the elevator.Avoid this place if you have children because there is nothing for them to do, ever. There are only like 4 kids in the whole building and there is no place for them to play. The pool isnt heated so you cant use it all year round, and the only grassy areas are where the dogs go to the bathroom. We are looking for a new place so we can break the lease and get out of this place ASAP.

The location of the apartment is great. The interior is basic. The management and front office are friendly but do a very poor job. If it was not for the people managing the apartment, my time as a resident may not have been so poor. A few examples of what I experienced in my year as a tenant:* Double charged rent to my account in error. The office refused to reverse and advised it would take 30 days to get me a check, so theyll just keep it for my next rent. I reversed through my bank and they tried to charge me a $60 fee.* Black residue clogs pipes and came up through the bathroom sink overflowing due to the apartments failure to do regular maintenance. I told the apartment immediately and it took 3 days for the maintenance team to fix it.* A residents dog pooped in the common hall way. I took the apartment 1 week to clean it up. Basically, it was dry and dusty by the time their slow team took care of it.* I transferred to a bigger apartment and scheduled a move out by the end of the week from my old apartment. The management team accidentally rented out the apartment I was in earlier and forced me to move out with a 3 day notice with no accommodations.* They gave me the down payment amount for the new bigger apartment. The rep was off by $10. Instead of telling me they put an eviction notice on my door saying that the $10 needed to be paid in 24 hours or they can change my locks, cancel my lease, sell my belongings, and take legal action. In between the statements in bold words the rep inserted (sorry about that), because they knew it was there fault. So WHY would they put the notice on the door, right?* They did a hard pulled on my credit 3 times in error. Working with them to get a letter to request the two done in error took 2 months and my persistence. It was like a job, because they dont take ownership for anything. In the end, it never got reversed and hard pulls have an impact on credit scores.* I found a new place in August and told the apartments that I would move out at the end of September before my lease ended Oct 31st. I asked if they could lease it out early. They advised that I would have to pay the last month rent because they dont do early leases. This is a lie, because they did it during my transfer to my inconvenience. So I paid the full October rent although I wasnt living there.* They billed me for utilities in October although I wasnt living there (okay, no big deal). They never told me what I owed or what was left to be reimbursed from my security deposit. I called to find out and they advised that I had a $70 balance, because they chose to get an OVERPRICED carpet clean company. I went down to the office on a Saturday to pay. They had no card payment option and told me that I could not pay online. I didnt have a check, so the rep told me to go to a store to get a money order - this would have cost me money. So I asked her to simply mail me the official outstanding balance. IT NEVER CAME. I called the office to follow up and speak to the manager. The rep advised that he was busy and shell have him call me back the next day. I never got a call. I received a letter in the mail from collections and started to get collection calls a week later.Needless to say - save yourself the trouble and rent any other apartment in this area but Alanza. The management team is friendly but they do not work and will make something simple like properly billing you complicated. Youve been warned!

Then I get online to see the app has been denied but did not receive an email or anything. I still don’t even know what happened! The tall white lady in the front office is rude and sassy. Every time I come to pick up my package, she has a condescending attitude and moves reluctantly. Sometimes she talks in a tone that sounds like she is giving you a lesson. Two months ago, I came to pick up my package and my package turned out to be not arrived yet. She pulled a long face and raised her voice,Could you PLEASE, MAKE SURE, YOU HAVE A NOTE on your door before you come???? The truth is, sometimes the delivery man leaves notes on the door and sometimes they dont. So I have to go to the office to check every time I purchased something online. And they should have known it.I came to the office to check my package today. I knocked the door and then came into the office. There were 3 people there talking and they all looked at me at the moment I came in. So I just asked, Can I checked the package? The lady came out and said, When you see a situation like that, could you be patient??? I dont think I did anything inappropriate. Everything just happened naturally. The way she talked to me sounds like I was being a rude and underbred, which I dont understand. The only reason I can come up with is I was dressing old jeans and T-shirt today. She judges on your appearance and color. They can be extremely complaisant when you are still a future resident, but after you sign the contract, you are no longer useful to them.Speaking of the apartment, it is fine. Considering the price, it is not worth of it AT ALL. You can always find another apartment that is 200 bucks cheaper with the same quality, seriously.

The apartments are ok, but way over priced and there are always a lot of issues with ... well everything. The staff usually forgets to unlock the pool on the weekends during the summer so youll have kids standing around and waiting for hours while the staff tries to find the keys. Also, there is never any parking if you want to have guests and lastly, my neighbors and I continue to have problems with our AC freezing over (they probably bought really cheap ac units) and then since it has to unfreeze before they fix it, you are stuck with no ac for about a day and half. Anyway, the only good thing is that it is close to the freeway.

I lived at Alanza Place for a few months and left. Most, not all, of the office & maintenance staff are useless. There are two people that work there that are great. Good luck on who you get! There really are too many things to go over here, so Ill just stick to the maintenance issues I had over the 4 months I lived there. It took them 6 tries to fix my AC unit, the first 2 times they came out they worked the wrong unit. The following 3 times they just vacuumed up the excess water and nothing else. It took me going to the AC unit with the tech on the 6th visit to explain the problem (the drain pipe was not installed properly, it had an upward angle which trapped the water) and how to fix it; it was fixed later that day.It took them 3 times to try and fix the light in the master shower; but never fixed it (the light would turn off with the switch in the ON position with me in the shower, then it would come back on a few hours later if the switch was left in the ON position). The first 2 times they, once again, worked on the wrong switch. When I pointed out which switch was the bad one they just tightened the connectors and said I was OK. That night the light went out again when the switch in the ON position. When I reported this back to the office they said that the electrician signed off that it was a good switch and no further action would be taken. There is a GFCI outlet in the kitchen that was not wired properly. After it was re-wired it still would not work for more than 5 minutes without popping. The electrician they sent stated that the outlet was good and would take no further action; so we were down that outlet in the kitchen due to their incompetence. There is dog poop and trash around the entire complex. It is in the grass, the rocks, and even the sidewalks. The maintenance / porter crew does a very piss-poor job of cleaning up the exterior of the complex. So, if you dont mind paying for a Luxury apartment complex without any of the Luxury amenities, then this may be the place for you! For everyone else, I would recommend looking elsewhere for better accommodations. I found another place within a month that was less expensive, better looking and actually has a maintenance staff that is responsive and effective. Good luck...

The loud noise would be pounding on my heart and also shaking my ceiling fan and rattling my crockery in my cabinet.Left several messages on his door but was a waste. I think it was apt 3096 because I was 2096.Lastly, I left because after my lease was us, they wanted to add $200 more to the rent. What, for what I had to put up with? I am now happy in my new apt n location.Only pro to this apt, I think the rooms are big, and they are clean, location close to the highways.

Love this apartment complex. I have lived here for a little over 2 years and love it. The staff is wonderful and very nice, animal friendly and they love all the puppies in the complex. Crown molding, high ceilings and gorgeous upgrades all over the complex. I have had a few this that needed to be fixed like anywhere else and they are very quick, usually next day if not too late on the day of. The only thing I would say I dont like is SRP. The power shuts off about 2 or 3 times a month and SRP never has an answer as to why. I would say if your looking to move here, dont really go by the ratings, and here is why. Disney is the happiest and most magical place on earth and they have bad reviews too.

I absolutely hate this apartment. It is not worth the expensive price. It is not a luxury apartment it claims to be.Our windows face south and our apartment heats up way to fast. So, be prepared to pay 10 times more utilities than you had in the past.Oh, dont get me started on the hotel next door... multiple times there have been bike rallies in the parking lot where the bikers were revving the engines literally from 7pm to 2am then a short break until they came back in the am at 6am!Oh and yes, they have a dog run for the pets but it backs up to a couple houses with evil pit bulls and other dogs that aggravate your dog while it tries to do its business. They came out of their house and told me if I come back they will record my dog and send it to the office..... The only other place for them to pee and poo legally on the property is outside of the gates next to a ghetto neighborhood. So, I let my pup poo inside the gates because I am scared to death of something happening to me or my pup.The apartment is extremely creepy at night so if you get home late from work make sure to have pepper spray in the poorly lit parking areas. They only have contracts with century link and direct tv.... both suck really bad. We have had to call multiple times to fix our tv and internet. The repairs take forever for them to do. I told them how my toilet just runs all the time. He came up looked at it fixed it and it still just runs. Our AC went out and who knows how long this will take to get fixed. Oh plus half of our screens are broken so bugs get into our apartment. The weather proof lining of our door was broken and they had to order a part to fix it and they never came back to fix it.If you ever have to talk to the women in the front office, you might want to cut off your foot first. They are extremely rude--unless you are a potential new renter. The POINT: DO NOT RENT HERE THEY ARE HORRIBLE. DO NOT DO IT. GO ANYWHERE EXCEPT ALANZA. IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE AND STRESS THIS PLACE WILL CAUSE YOU.

..... Had to shorten my review due to character limit. Review YELP for full review. Finally, my worst experience was when I moved out. I did not break my lease, and I gave the proper notice to move out successfully without trouble. I spoke with Jessica and asked her what I needed to do to make sure I could get my deposit back, which was $600. She said have Arizona Carpet Care come and clean the carpets, which cost $75, and clean the entire apartment to have it be move in ready. I spent about 8 hours cleaning the apartment prior to moving out, and the carpets did not even look shampooed or any newer as promised. The last day of my lease, I did a walk through with the apartment manager, Jennifer, and a female worker from their maintenance staff. The first thing Jennifer and her staff member did was walk in and go to one of the corners of the carpet and lift up the carpet, and said this will have to be replaced. She then looked at one of the burners that had been used and said that had to be replaced as well. Jennifer proceeded to tell me that she would contact me via mail with the final refund/bill once they total the “damages”. I told her what Jessica told me and she said we can use the $75 towards the carpets, and that was the end of the walkthrough.I received the statement from Jennifer and Alanza Place along with a check for $60. They used all my deposit for the carpets to be replaced and then one burner. My close family friend owns a flooring business, and it does not cost that much for a one-bedroom apartment to have the carpet lay down. Furthermore, the bill included charging me for a water bill that I had already paid. I knew they were going to charge me an obscene amount for the carpets, because that’s how apartments scam to make any profit, but then going the extra mile to double charge me for a water bill was pushing it too far. The $30 did not mean anything to me; it was the principle behind it.When I called in, I asked for Jennifer and as usual her immediate attitude expressed her irritability and annoyance that she has to speak with any of her tenants. I had her pull up my closing statement and the water bill that she sent and compared the charges and she proceeded to tell me it was not the same charges, it was for something else- when to the cents the charges matched. I then had her pull my receipt that was paid for the exact amount and she still said I was wrong. We went back and forth for ten minutes or so, and I expressed to her how it is my profession to handle accounting and billing and that I know they are double charging me. She argued that she would have to review it without me to determine the charges, and so forth. I expressed to her how disappointing it was that they would sweat over $30 when they just gained $500 from me moving out, and how poorly that is for their business to treat their tenants like they are liars. She was argumentative, rude, and unprofessional towards me during the end of the conversation. True colors always come forward with businesses when you are done with their services, whether it is a restaurant, a bank, or even an apartment complex.Jennifer ended up calling me back that the $30 was an error, but she stuck to her story that it wasn’t the water bill. She could not live with the fact that I caught an error and she would not apologize for it. Again, she did not apologize to me once. Her pride is clearly more important to her than having people recommending the apartment complex.Your business is a reflection of the management staff, and as long as Jennifer is working there the poor reviews will continue to post.

I love it, it is a quiet, clean and beautiful place. If a maintenance problem occurs they are very quick and kind to solve it. The neighbors are kind and friendly people. Im very comfortable!
