Love everything about this place! The location is great, the apartment is perfect for me and my family, and the management team is AMAZING! They are always so helpful and on top of everything. Great place to live!

The Good - I’ve lived at 4 apartment complexes throughout the valley over the last 10 years. Lauren, the apartment manager, is by FAR THE BEST manager. Scott, the head of maintenance, is also really awesome. The location is amazing, I love this neighborhood, I’m moving out of state but otherwise I’d have stayed here. They keep the ground really clean and are quick to respond to tenants. The apartments are older but they’re slowly remodeling and updating just about everything, both internal and external, so I never noticed anything really significant.The Bad - 1. depending on apartment location, mine is in the middle of the building, you can hear the neighbors. I’ve been pretty fortunate and had good neighbors but there’s been occasions where I can hear banging, conversations, and running water - I’m sure they get that from me at times as well. That’s pretty typical for apartment living but if you have an apartment on the end you don’t really get as much of it. 2. Nothing to do with the apartment so much as overall location but we’re in the downtown of a big city so there’s the occasional kids making trouble near the canal and druggies along the canal. As a female I am cautious and don’t go out much at night and if I do I stay in well lit areas but that should be common sense for most women.

Love living here! The upgrades in my apartment make it feel like new. Being right on the canal and walking distance to good coffee and places to eat is a major plus. Ive been here almost three years now and plan on renewing.

Ive been a huge fan of living at The Lex for the last year!Location: The Lex is super close to a lot of great Uptown restaurants (Fame Caffe has an awesome breakfast/brunch menu and is within walking distance) and a wide variety of grocery stores. Its less than 10 min to get to either the 51 or the I-17, making it super easy to get anywhere by car, and theres a lightrail stop 1 block away at Campbell/Central. The complex backs onto the canal, which is great for biking/running in cooler months!The Complex: Number one thing I noticed about The Lex is how QUIET it is, which is amazing for an apartment complex so close to downtown. The units are set far enough back from the street that road noise is practically non-existent. There are a lot of dogs in the complex, but Ive never heard a single bark from inside my apartment in the 12 months that Ive been here - to that end, Ive never heard any of my neighbors through the walls or floors. Maintenance is responsive and proactive - Ive even seen staff working late at night to change exterior bulbs during the summer months. Theres also free guest parking - though, all unreserved spots are uncovered, which can get pretty hot in the summer.Overall, The Lex is clean, quiet, and dependable. Theres definitely an older feel to some of the units (definitely not as flashy as some of the new build around town), but the apartments have quality fixtures and appliances, including a washer/dryer. Its a nice retreat for anyone looking to be close to downtown, without being in the middle of it.

Lauren, the property manager, is the best thing about this place. Shes always very helpful and thoughtful. The apartments are nice and in a great location next to the canal and lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and I must say it was such a pleasant experience. Lauren is a rockstar of a property manager and everyone in the community is very friendly. Everything from the location, amenities, constantly having food trucks, the friends I’ve made, all of it was a blast! I’m really going to miss living here but I couldn’t recommend this place more! If your thinking about moving into this area, The Lex is by far the best bang for your buck. Gated community in the heart of uptown is a rare find and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to live here.

I lived at the Lex for nearly 1.5 years and could not have had a better experience. The office staff and manager were nothing short of amazing and we’re always so helpful if I needed anything, extremely accommodating. It’s a fun, safe community and would highly recommend to anyone whether you’re living alone or with family. I cannot say enough nice things about this property or it’s management. I’ve lived in apartments all of my adult life and this was my absolute favorite property not only because of the spacious beautiful units but because the whole process was made easy and stress free from management.

My daughter and I LOVE living here! Weve been here almost a year, and besides loving our huge apartment with tons of windows and an incredible view, they just treat us SO wonderfully here! Every single staff member treats us like family, waving or stopping to say hello when we pass by each other. Maintenance requests are always handled promptly and efficiently. Id recommend the Lex to anyone looking for a beautiful rental in a great part of town.

This has been the best apartment complex I have lived in since moving here originally in 2012. My partner and I have lived here for two years now (it should be proof enough when I say I’ve never renewed my lease more than a year anywhere else) and couldn’t be happier! The area is wonderful, the price is appropriately affordable and we love the leasing manager, Lauren. We looked at a few other complexes around the area and The Lex was the last on our list and she sealed the deal. Maintenance is always on top of everything, seriously. We’ve never had to call and complain (not once) and their concierge service is top notch. It’s a huge plus that they’re animal friendly as we have two dogs. Proud to be apart of the community here!

I couldn’t be happier with the Lex on Central. We just moved into a 2 bath 2 bedroom and it’s really nice, quiet complex. Each room has a ceiling fan, the apartment comes with its own washer and dryer full kitchen and more! Our AC went out on us (no fault on anyone other then bad luck) the maintenance crew took a look and got it replaced the next day and rushed to get us a portable unit. And like all apartment complexes should when things are old and go out they replaced the WHOLE unit. This company really cares about their residences and does all they can to keep everyone running smoothly. This is my first apartment and it took a while to find this one but I’m so glad for my choice! The leasing office is super friendly and very helpful as well!

The Lex on central definitely has to be one of the top apartment complexes in central Phoenix! From the caring staff in the office (who plan very fun resident events) to our favorite maintenance guy, Scott—the service is top notch.The pool is centrally located, plenty of trash deposits around, and most importantly to my family, animal friendly!Spacious and updated apartments for a reasonable price in central Phoenix seems too good to be true, BUT IT IS!

The LEX on central is an amazing place to live. Maintenance is on it quick. The clubhouse is one of the most comfy places to host events. Ive done two events there since moving in and everyone has loved it. It is a great place to host. Lauren and her staff are super accomodating. They treat you like you are the most important part of the community. If you are looking for a place to move to definitely check them out!

We recently moved from The Lex after two wonderful years there. The staff is amazing and friendly in the office, the pool and other locations are kept clean, maintenance is very timely and knowledgeable, and the community is awesome. The Apartments are very nice and the location is one of the best, you have the light rail to go down town or restaurants within walking distance. You cant go wrong renting here, enjoy!

Spacious apartment and maintenance staff is very professional and quick whenever I put in tickets. Wonderful experience with the staff has made my stay memorable. Helps this is a gated community in terms of security. Would def highly recommend.

We moved to the Lex from across the country and loved living here for the past 13 months. Management was extremely helpful prior to the move and answered all of our questions. The complex is located in a very nice part of midtown Phoenix. The pool is open year round, and the complex is small which makes it pretty quiet. Parking was never an issue for us either. We have two dogs and there is pet waste stations located all around the property. Maintenance is very prompt and gets the job done ASAP. Overall we have been extremely pleased with our stay and would 10/10 recommend this apartment complex to our friends/family

Living at The Lex is seriously the best, let me tell you a personal experience. My A/C went out Monday afternoon and I entered a work order to have it fixed that same day. I called today to check the status and not only was it done, Lauren emailed me to ask ME to call next time because she wanted to get it done SOONER, talk about looking out for your residences. I highly recommend this place to anyone considering moving here, head to toe this place rocks

I could not be happier with the Lex. The apartments are very spacious and feel more like a condo than a traditional apartment. I searched around central Phoenix and the Lex was the most affordable apartment for the square footage and amenities. The location is amazing - it is steps from a canal, within walking distance to Steele Indian School Park, and close to tons of food and beverage places! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and maintenance was very timely in all of my requests. I loved everything about this apartment complex!

I moved into the Lex last year with a roommate into a two bedroom. Lauren the complex manager was extremely attentive and genuinely listen to what we both needed. After many tours through out the central area we knew this was going to be our new home. Lauren and her team really worked with us to get in and the transition was stress free. Through out the year we both enjoyed our time at the Lex that when it came time to renew the lease there was no question about it. I knew I wanted to stay, however my roommate started a new chapter in her life away from Central Phoenix.Lauren again was quick to solve my needs and I ended up signing a new lease for a one bedroom that suits all my needs. As the it came close to moving time Lauren and her team really helped the transition be seamless. With all the stress we have during the holidays she really did her best to take some of the stress of my plate. I will forever be thankful to her and her team.I know this next year will be great as she is always coming up with clever ways to make the complex feel like a community with all sorts of events and entertainment for the residents to enjoy and to build friendships.

The management at the Lex is very responsive. I lived right against the canal, which sometimes made me concerned given all the foot traffic there. The Lex was extremely responsive to my concerns and put up new signs on the gates and new latches on the gates to deter anyone from entering the facility who was not authorized.I loved the location - walkable to good coffee shops, food, and with the running/walking canal at your doorstep. The location was also quiet inside, which I appreciated it.Only reason I left was because of a job move, but the Lex had a ton to offer and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good bang for your buck with lots of walkability.

I love living @ Lex! The office staff is super friendly, Lauren the manager is very responsive and handles everything immediately. Grounds are clean, maintenance is always on top of it, the price is right for the location. My apartment is more like a townhouse which is cool, garage, huge closets, Roman tubs! I been here about 3 years now and plan to stay until the market chills out down to buy.

David & i would like to take this opportunity to put a HUGE shoutout for Scott and give him the “thanks” he deserves. THANK YOU Scott!!Last Friday morning we awoke to our home being 81 degrees. Scott was down immediatly to check it out. Im working full-time from home now and Scott almost immediately came back wit a stand alone air conditioner.Seriously, he worked tirelessly trying to get the air up & running. And when he felt hed done everything he thought, Scott called in the air conditioning company The Lex uses.I don’t remember exactly what he said had overheated but that as the sun went sown it would begin to cool down.Our 2nd bedroom is my office and we have a really comfortable futon that folds out to a queen sized bed.It really felt like a date night all cozied up on the futon watching a movie will our doggies resting peacefully in a nice cool room.No one can ask for anything better than the service that Scott did for us last week!!Many kuddos for Scott!!! Plus he even took care of some other really minor issues that id even forgotten about!!Thanks again Scott for all you do for all of us!!-David & Susan Parker.

We lived at The LEX on Central for all of 2018 into 2019. All I can say is what a awesome community. We had to relocate for 8 months outside of state for work. All I could do was miss our old place at the lex. When we moved back we stopped into say Hi and see about possibly coming back and in a twist of fate our old home was available again. Looking forward to calling the lex on central home again.

This community is amazing. Right next to the lightrail makes it easy to commute to downtown, Tempe, etc. The units are very spacious especially for the price! The pool is heated in the winter and the huge hot tub is year round. It is also located in a prime location for some of the best food! A couple minute drive from Biltmore area, a short drive to multiple mountains for hiking, and 25 minutes from Scottsdale and Tempe. In the unit are hardfloors except in the bedrooms, a huge soaking tub in the master bath, and high ceilings. The office and maintenance staff are also super friendly and on top of things. Dog and cat friendly and very quiet for being right by downtown!

I can not recommend The Lex enough!! It has truly become a home and a special place. The grounds are always beautiful and well kept. The apartments are so spacious! The staff is absolutely amazing!! They throw fun community events, are so responsive and on top of any issues. They truly care about the residents and take the time to get to know everyone. We started off in a one bedroom and later upgraded to a 2 bedroom (we added a puppy). The Lex is also so pet friendly and our pup has made lots of friends. I truly can’t say enough great things about the Lex. If you’re looking for a community and place to become a home, looking for a great staff who will truly take care of you and the property, and are looking for amazing spacious and beautiful apartments then this is the place for you! We’ve truly enjoyed our 2 1/2 years here! Due to relocation, we’ll sadly be moving but are so grateful for The Lex and the staff here! You all are so amazing!

No kind of respect! Told me I can renew my lease for 3 month come to find out my apt was leased out a couple days later ! While still living here. 2 days after rent my ac doesn’t work any more. My electric wires are all messed up and part of my apt had no electricity. Never been late in rent nor gave them issues. Been here for 5 years already I’m calling it quits! I would also give a zero to maintenance !!

This complex is absolutely beautiful and accommodating to those that are used to their own house. The floorplans are amazing and spacious. The countertops are all granite. Theres even 1-2 car garages available. Its really quiet and peaceful and conveniently located in the prime area of Phoenix. I will only move out of here to move into a house of my own. I simply love it!!

Great complex good community ! Maintenance is on top of everything! Scott makes sure that everything is done right and takes care of everything as soon as possible. Keone in the front office is always a pleasure to speak with and a great help!

Been living at Lex for 4 years, it’s about time I put in a review. Scott our maintenance guy is amazing, he keeps the property clean and gets things done fast. The office staff is super sweet and will definitely have anything you need taken care of ASAP. The price is a little higher from where i came from, but Im willing to pay it. I get great service, considerate professional neighbors, and a huge townhouse with an attached garage, lots of storage, and a huge tub which is a must for me. Lol. Shopping is close, hiking, bars and it’s just convenient period. The worst thing is that people don’t always pick up after their dogs but that’s EVERYWHERE you go. Office staff also takes care of that right away and will fine them when it happens. The pool is heated which is nice, it’s gated, and small. I love how small it is. You will love it here!

Coming from an apartment complex that I rated 1/5 stars (Ingleside Apartment Complex off 44th and Indian School), I would say my past 9 months here at The Lex has been nothing but positive experiences.The Complex is extremely cleanly, inviting, and safe. The staff that works here really goes out of their way to insure their tenants are satisfied. Maintenance is extremely responsive and the property manager, Lauren, is by far the most personable and professional property manager I have ever lived under.The location is central to newly renovated shopping plazas loaded with restaurants and bars. It is also located within walking distance to the light rail, which gives easy access to downtown. The freeway is only a five minutes drive away which is another perk.My roommate and I plan on renewing our lease when the time comes. I rate the complex a solid 5. I have no complaints. Thank you Lauren and The Lex.

Im gonna be honest, wishing I paid a little more to live else where in uptown Phoenix. Dont get me wrong, I like it here. Just too many problems already and Ive only been here for two months. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Neighbors are really loud till early morning hours. The water in the shower only gets Luke warm, never hot. And the washing machine water never gets cold, only hot water comes out. Tbh... I really cant wait to move out of here.

Working at the Lex is the best when you have Keone and Maria by your side to help pass time. These hooligans keep the office fun and every day I look forward to working with them!!!

This location was great for me and my husband. 10 mins. from work, the light rail is right there, and plenty of restaurants in the area to eat out at. If that is what you are looking for then it is the perfect place. Keep in mind you really pay for the area. Living there for a over a month we went through 3 different management, so make sure you keep copies of leases that you sign and anything else the front office have you sign. They tend to loose all paper work. Also, if you ever need to reach the front office dont waste your time calling they will never pick up. The front office is very inconsiderate of other people time, dealing with them is a joke.

I am a single 35 yr old female who moved in last year, and this was my 1st time moving on my own. I moved from the Biltmore a farely safe neighborhood. I knew I wanted to stay in the central area and close to work. The moment I toured the apartments I instantly fall in love. I moved into a one bedroom with my own garage which in AZ is a plus. maintenance has been a dream to work with, and are really friendly. If your not use to central living this is not the place for you. I love this apartment cause when I come home I dont feel like im living in uptown. It feels like the suburbs. Love that the light-rail is infront of the complex, close enough that I never hear the train yet I can walk to it if I need to go to an event down town. Love that I am in the middle of everything. So my lease ended on the 18 th of May 2018. I needed more room so I transferred into a 2 bedroom, with sunset views and my own garage. I wasnt able to tour my new unit until the day of, cause someone was moving out. When I walked into my new unit I noticed it had carpets in the living room and dinning room. I am not a huge fan. In my old unit I had flooring through out the unit except the bedroom. So I asked the leasing office if they could replace them and they are sending someone over tomorrow. The people in the leasing office are so sweet and easy to work with. I can not express how much I love this place. Oh and the most important part of all to me is the walk in closet!!!! Its half the size of my bedroom and as big as my master bathroom, thats a huge closet. And yes I need all that space.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I repeat, do not live here. The management is a bunch imbeciles who are entirely incapable of running anything. They are liars (Lauren), will screw you out of your money, and continue to screw you however they possibly can. I cannot even express how horribly ran this place is. Please save yourself the money, frustration, and time consuming hell this management made it.

We love Keone and the staff at The Lex. If something is wrong, they always fix it or replace it. I feel like Keone goes above and beyond for the residents here.
