Very unprofessional and had an attitude. Dirty looking, and just not impressed. Called back to have them fix the thermostat that was not working and when tech came back out, he had an attitude when he found out he was not going to make more money off of me.Issue just started up again - 3rd time. Called them again. Gilbert Air is out of business, - new company name, but same ownership. Wanted to have me pay for another service call. Absolutely NOT. New company is Arizona Family Air. Well, beware.

Had two AC units fail at the hottest time of year. Gilbert Air came to the rescue quickly and at an excellent price. Had estimates from two other firms that do a lot of hyped up marketing on the radio. Gilbert beat them on price, service and delivery. Many thanks to Christopher the boss and to Angel and Adam the techs that installed the new units.. great company and highly recommended!

Our air had started to run warm and Robert from Gilbert Air came out less than 2 hours after I called. He was so kind and professional. He explained everything in terms I understood. He even explained how a previous person with a different company had incorrectly installed a part and wrote down what he was seeing so I could attempt to contact the company for them to fix their mistake. He also explained that we would likely be looking at replacing our unit sooner than later but did not push any replacement on us. He fixed the parts that were bad and the air is working so much better now. It was a great experience and I will recommend Gilbert air to everyone I know. Thank you so much Robert. Gilbert Air exceeded my expectations! They got me scheduled quickly for service on my non working AC during the shutdown. Their repairman was courteous and wore all the necessary safety gear. Repairs were completed that day! After my two week war of trying to get my home warranty and their chosen repair service to repair my AC during the heat wave; it was much appreciated! Thank you Gilbert Air for coming on such short notice. My AC stopped working on a Sunday and I needed someone to come out ASAP to take a look. My home warranty assigned two contractors neither of which were able to come right away. Since it was getting really hot, I was desperate even when if I had to pay out of pocket to have it serviced. Gilbert air was the only place that had availability and Robert came out in less than an hour from when I called. He was very courteous and professional and explained everything I needed to get my house cool again. Needless to say I had both of my units looked at and he was able to recommend what was needed. Chris came and replaced an A/C motor. He called ahead to let us know the schedule, and he was right on time. He did a great job getting the place cool again. These guys are the real deal! They responded to my request promptly, scheduled with me for the next day, called 30 minutes prior to their arrival, and when they did arrive, the technician was very friendly and got to work to identify the problem which he fixed very quickly. The technician, Robert, was eminently professional. He arrived in safety gear, Was very polite, got straight to work and discovered our issue within 15 minutes. Nick and Chris from Gilbert Air were amazing to work with. We were adding on a second story to our house. They not only did an amazing job re-routing the 1st floor AC to a new floor plan, but added a second unit for the upstairs. Nick and Chris always quickly responded to my text messages or calls for concern. In addition to the original scope of work, they worked with me to solve a problem created by the GC. He ordered extra parts and helped me make plans so that I was completely taken care of. They really went over and beyond in many unexpected circumstances. Out of several dozen contractors I worked with throughout our renovation, Nick and Chris were probably the easiest to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have had the best experience with Gilbert Air from the moment I bought my new A/C unit in 2013. A couple weekends ago my A/C unit stopped working and I called Gilbert Air early Saturday morning. The Gilbert Air team was amazing. They were able to come to my house within a couple hours of my call to them. They were able to get my A/C up and running again quickly. I always recommend Gilbert Air to all my family, friends and neighbors.

These guys really took care of us in a timely, friendly manner, without all the up-selling that seems so common these days. Within just a few days they were able to replace our worn out old AC system with a new up to date one, and now were back up to speed in a comfortable work area. I was amazed at the timeliness of the technician that came out to my home. He was early which was a blessing considering the 116 degree temperature outside and 97 inside. He and diagnosed my problem in less than 20 minutes. He had to go to the supply store to get my particular motor and said he would be back in 40 minutes. He was within 15 minute of his return I feel this coolness come over my body. I first spoke to Lynn within minutes I had a text messaged asking for my address and like that my appointment was set. Gilbert Air has quality customer service and technicians who far exceeded my expectations. Their price was very fair according to my google search. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. We came home from vacation and discovered our downstairs A/C unit was not working on Sunday morning. I called Gilbert Air because we have a Preventative Maintenance Agreement with them. Dillan came out within the time frame I was quoted and was able to get the unit up and running. He suggested he could do a check of our upstairs unit while he was here. Everything checked out. We would highly recommend Gilbert Air and have been satisfied customers since 2016.

Have been using these guy for at least 5 years when it was sold and a new family really made all around improvements. I read reviews and all the negative ones are due to issues with previous owners or the home warranty company not Gilbert Air themselves so I thought Id post my opinion.Have 2 homes 2 years apart we had new A/C units installed due to age and not functioning properly. No pressure to buy a replacement offered to repair but decided its about time. Robert worked with us to get us the best deal on a unit that was ordered and not picked up. Installed next day in about 3 hours no problems so far. We signed up for service contract for 3 and 5 years. Robert came out recently even changed my filter fixed the filter door(was on wrong) cleaned in the attic and outside around the A/C unit. He is a great guy and very knowledgable. Lynn in the office is especially friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend.

One of our AC units went out on a Friday evening. I called Gilbert Air around 7:30 am the next morning and a technician arrived by 10:30. We had Dillan who was great. He was courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had the compressor replaced within the hour. We will definitely call Gilbert Air for any other future cooling/heating needs.

Honestly, you need to have a talk with your technicians about driving safety. One of your vans almost hit my car because they were driving about 60mph in a construction zone as they swerved over two lanes on Gilbert Rd to beat me to the spot before the lane merges. I understand the services you provide is important especially during this time of the year but air conditioning is not worth anyone’s life. I’ve never used your AC company before and I don’t plan to use your company moving forward. I have a license plate number if you’re interested.

Our AC went out at 9 pm and after trying everything Google suggested and calling two other companies (no answer and no return calls), a friend suggested Gilbert Air. Nick answered right away and within an hour Chris was at our house (he lives 45 minutes away!). Chris repaired the blown capacitor and returned before 7 am the next morning to fire our unit back up. Chris was efficient, very friendly, and an excellent listener. He also made some suggestions for the future, but in no way pressured us to add on extra repairs. Nick made sure to check back in with us the next morning. We highly recommend Gilbert Air!

I had my new unit installed last year around the beginning of September, I had the heat on the last couple months and sometime Thursday night I to Friday morning the heat stopped working. Had called Gilbert air and Chris was the guy who came out and checked it out. It didnt take long. It was a minor mistake on the thermostat. But Chris was very well explanatory on the situation.

In early June my wife and I became concerned as our air conditioner was blowing warm air. This being the beginning of the summer heat had us extremely worried. We have heard some frightening stories about people who had similar issues and when workers came, they insisted that the unit had to be replaced. Financially not something we were prepared to do. My wife, Lynnette, recalled a name of someone with whom she remembered from the years of working in the area of plumbing and air conditioning. She knew we could trust the work done by his company (Gilbert Air). Technician Robert S. was sent to our home. He had a trainee with him. They were clean, well spoken, and prompt. It’s not always easy to interact/communicate with a technician who you don’t know who is coming into your home to handle any problem. After just a short conversation we felt as though we were speaking with a friend. The trainee was equally clean, friendly, and gave the impression of honesty. They resolved the problem without any confusion as to the problem and how they fixed it. Robert gave us a very easy to understand description of what he did. He also gave us some useful information concerning what also might be something of which to watch in the future because it is an older unit. He did remind us of the age the unit suggesting we need to understand that we might need to replace the unit soon. When that day comes Gilbert Air will be who we call. On Sunday we found that there was a water leak on our ceiling above the second floor landing. At first, was not sure of the source of the leak, but suspected it may be a/c unit. Called Gilbert Air and although their office was closed, their answering service scheduled a service call for later that day. Robert, their technician, arrived and inspected the system and found that drain line was clogged, and set to repair it fixed the problem immediately. Robert was very professional and explained the problem and how to avoid it in the future. I am very grateful the problem was fixed quickly. Would highly recommend Gilbert Air and Robert for their professionalism and efficient service.

We had the guys from Gilbert Air come today to install a brand new system. It was a great experience! Our unit is over 20 years old and died last week. Not ideal for the winter with a new baby in the house. They gave us a wonderful price, have given excellent service, and are very kind.Two technicians came to install the unit (both in the yard and the attic) and the owner stopped by to go over everything with us. It was great to have such knowledgable people putting the unit in and to have the actual owner come to go over the warranty and answer my questions. We are extremely pleased with the work and customer service. 5 star for sure!

My air conditioner started making weird noises and my parents recommended I call Gilbert Air. The repair person came out promptly and he was nice but he told me I needed a new fan and quoted me over $900. He also told me after putting in a new fan that my unit probably wouldnt last another few months. He also tried to sell me new unit (for what seemed like a pretty fair price honestly). But I had a feeling that I wasnt getting a good price on the repair so I decided to call around for quotes. The company I ended up going with did the repair for HALF of what Gilbert air quoted me. Also the other company told me my unit would probably last another few years.

Gilbert Air is under new ownership and has really turned itself around. They are a honest company who really value their customers. I highly recommend Gilbert Air for all of your heating and cooling needs.

Me and my kids were sitting inside yesterday but we may have as well been outside, Nick came over around 10:30am, diagnosed my A/C unit as a lost cause :( but check this out! Nick was able to install a new unit same day, by 5pm. In the few hours it took me to pick up the boys school supplies our new unit was installed and functioning properly! Its a cool 75° inside now :) Its so great to have someone honest and dependable in your time of need. Nicks the man!!!

Terrible customer service. They came out to diagnose the issue, then said it would cost a certain amount. They said they had to order a compressor for the unit and it would take several days to get in. Tried to call them 4 days straight (left a message since they dont answer the phone during business hours later in the day) saying I needed to pay them and to please contact me so I could pay them. They wouldnt even schedule the appointment till the bill was paid. They called my property manager and told him that they would schedule for the next day once the bill was paid. I called them 10 minutes later and paid the bill. They scheduled for 2 days later instead of the one day they told my property manager. Took them over 10 hours on Wednesday to fix the unit, but it wasnt completed that day. They came out Thursday to finish the job. Once done the technician left, the unit only worked for about an hour. Turns out the first technician was inexperienced and burnt out the new compressor they had just put in. Once they figured out they burnt out the compressor they miraculously found one in their warehouse to put in the next day (remember had to order one the first time). All told it took over 11 days to complete a service that should have been done in less than 3. I had to pay $50 a day to my tenants because they were displaced. When I tried to get in touch with them it took me 4 days to get them when they would answer the phone so I could pay them so theyd schedule the service, then I had another 3 days because they couldnt fix it right the first time. By my math they owe me $350...

Great customer service & honest company. We purchaseed our new heat pump from them and they have been performing our PMAs for years with great results.

Horrible customer service. As a Real Estate Broker and property manager, this company is not recommended. Very low priority if you hire them through a home warranty call. Over a week for them to replace a compressor. This is summer, 115 outside, and they dont work weekends. The Tenants have been out of the house over a week now. And the Owner is out of state military. Owner asked for a military discount and they wouldnt give one. Shameful.

Service guys came out and determined that we needed a new A/C unit . They completed the work etc. Havent seen or heard from them since? Never checked back to see if we were happy. If the unit was working etc. Makes me wonder what the service would be like if we had a complaint?

My A/C unit went out on a Saturday afternoon. I contacted Gilbert Air with the assumption that Id have to endure an uncomfortable weekend and wait until Monday for servicing. They arrived on time and understood the urgency in getting my A/C unit fixed. Frank and team quickly determined the problem and presented a resolution within a matter of hours. They were relentless and did not leave until I was up and running again, which was a great relief and pleasant surprise. He could have told me that it would have to wait until Monday, but instead worked until the early evening hours on a Saturday. Three words to describe this company: Fair, Reasonable and Reliable. Just had Dillan diagnose and fix our AC issue within an hour. Amazing! Had another company come out a couple of days ago and misdiagnose. They wanted to perform a nitrogen leak test then changed their mind and advised it could be the TXV which would have run $1600 for replacement. Dillan discovered a loose whire on the air handler and saved us $$$. Great service! Will be a repeat customer.

UPDATE: I understand that the individual responsible for my issues is no longer with the company. I just used them today and the new owner, Nick, went out of his way to ensure everything was satisfactory. So, I am upping my rating from 2 up to 5. PREVIOUS: The reason for my low rating is not for the quality of service as I have always been impressed and trusted it over 10 years. It is with their business practice as they fraudulently charged me twice for the same repair using my credit card number that they were not authorized to store. It took 3 weeks to get this resolved and I dealt with voicemails that were not returned and a locked door during posted open business hours. This is sad as this is a company that I had learned to trust and had relied on. They did apologize and said it would not happen again. I recommend doing any business with them by check rather than credit/debit cards.

Gilbert air did an aweful job on installing a new ac unit on my roof. The replacement was covered under my home insurance plan. When it got cold, the heat did not turn on. I had another company come out to find out the gas line was even hooked up for heat and the base they built for the ac unit was crooked by 6-8 inches. On top of that, their customer service and communication was sub par. Beware using this company.

Worst company ever, never return calls. They want money up front before they do the work. Common diagnosis-need new coil. Get a second opinion if you happen to use them. Personally, you are wasting time and money if you use them. The only reason you HAVE to use them is if you have American Home Shield home warranty. If you dont, dont use them unless you like horrible customer service and never getting in touch with them.

We had them out on the 27th of July, our unit has constantly been running since July 22nd it’s stuck on, our home owners warrentt is who sent them out here becasue our into is stuck on. They came out said two things need to be replaced they said they would order the parts and should be in by the next week. My husband called them last week and they said well the warranty compnany needs to find out if your unit is still under warranty, so he called the warrentt company and they said no it’s Gilbert Airs responsibility to check that, they contacted Gilbert Air and Gilbert air told them they would get the part and come the next week on Tuesday, we’ll here were again no call no nothing, warranty company can’t eveb get them to answer there calls or get a call back. My unit has been continuously running for 5 weeks now, so who’s gonna be responsible for my outrageous electric bill? And when will my unit be fixed. You have BBB on your invoices but your customer services sucks. I will never recommend Gilbert Air

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!I called Gilbert Air to fix our Air Conditioning on June 6th 2016. They came out the next day, the technician said we needed new coils, our AC is 2 years old. It took until the 21st of June to get the coils. Average temperature was 110! They charged me for the repair on the 9th of June, $769.60. They came out on the 22nd of June to replace coils and get air working. The tech proceeded to break several things in the process of replacing the coils. He then told us we needed a whole new system, our system is 2 years old! He said it would cost us $1100.00 to have it put in because Trane would give us a new unit, so we would pay for Labor only???That is crazy, they broke the unit, only the coils were damaged to start with and now we need a whole new system???Finally on the 28th of June we called another company. This company came out and fixed our Air in about two hours. They said Gilbert Air had done much damage while replacing the coils. This new company fixed what Gilbert Air broke. They also said that we ABSOLUTELY DID NOT need a new system. This new company charged us only $517.00!We went three weeks with NO AC in Arizona, thank you Gilbert Air.I have asked Gilbert Air to return our money, they have refused.

This place is the worst place ever I contacted them sat they didnt come out till Tuesday and still cant fix my air and instead of them getting in contact with office they wait till the end of day to turn stuff in and cant do anything till next day. This place is horrible would not recommend this company at all

RUN in the Opposite direction of these people. Do NOT let anyone you love use this company. The absolute worst. I have no idea how they are still in business.
