Riverbend took over our lease towards the end of our lease term. Right away they bummed up our rent. We were given a cleaning list before we moved out and were told not to cover the holes in the wall from nails and screws. We were only given half our deposit back and they charged us for the holes. We sent the cleaning list back to them and circled where they told us not to cover the holes. Mitch told us that our original manager left and they could no longer verify that is what she told us and we were not getting our money back. Its a sad day when Cornerstone treated us better. Highly do not recommend ever going through them.

Not recommended. I lived at 920 Oxford Ave in Eau Claire and the common areas were never cleaned, the laundry room was filthy, and management was rarely if never on site for anything but maintenance requests. Not only that, but when security concerns were brought up, an outside lock was installed and keys were provided but management never bothered finalizing the locks with the fire department despite having over 3 months to do so and saying they would have it done within a few weeks, so they were never used. When moving out, I completed the checklist in full and accepted the landlords recommendation for a carpet cleaning company, only to find out that the carpet cleaning company had actually refused to service the building in the past. Despite the landlords many compliments towards the cleanliness of my home, I was charged $135 upon move-out for blind replacement, dusting, and window and door shining. They also claimed that the sink and refrigerator needed inspecific touch ups despite being deep-cleaned. Total rip-off.In short, this place is a mess. Its dirty, its cheap, the landlords know this, and they dont care to change it.

This place is terrible! they dont ever call back and there are diferent ppl working all the time like they cant keep anyone working there because its so bad. i had like 3 diff managers in a year and couldnt get ahold of anyone ever and repairs take forever.

Very nice apartments! I lived there for 2 years and never had any issues. All the ladies in the office are very nice and helpful. I had no problem getting my full security deposit back (just be clean and leave the property in the SAME condition as it was when you moved in.) Thank you Riverbend Rentals!

I have been renting from Riverbend Rentals & Property Management since July of 2016. I am very happy with the level of professionalism that the staff conveys each time I speak to any of them. Very friendly people as well. I have had few issues with the place that I rent from them. However, if there is an issue, they are on it immediately. Kirk the maintenance man is top notch at fixing any issues at my property. Ali, Tammi, Mary, and Nicole in the office are just great. The entire team has always accommodated me with my rental needs. I would highly recommend renting from Riverbend.

Riverbend is the best rental company that I have worked with. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to move out of state with only a month notice. Riverbend worked with me on a break lease agreement, and worked hard to show my unit at least a half dozen times in the following weeks. They could have sat on my unit and collected easy money each month, but they instead helped me in a time of need. Thanks to their hard work, a new tenant was found to replace my lease on short notice. During my 18 months renting, Riverbend was professional, helpful, and proved to be great people as well. I have dealt with riverbend for the last 4 years and have rented a few places from them. The staff is very professional and the maintenance team is also very professional. I rented through this company 2018-2019 and it could have gone much better. Their customer service is absolutely appalling. At this point in time, I wont even get into the issues we ran into while living there. But what I will share is my move out experience.Once receiving our itemized security deposit deductions, there were a few things I did not agree with. I attempted multiple times to contact the company in regards to this but I didnt receive any emails back. And going in isnt an option, as I dont live in the area anymore. So after a couple weeks of being ignored, I just went ahead and cashed the check they had sent. This was back at the end of May. Fast forward to the beginning of November. I finally received an email back! It was in regards to my security deposit. But hold on. It wasnt even regarding my previous emails I had sent. They told me that THEY made a mistake and OVERPAID my deposit. And their mistake from months ago, which could have been resolved months ago before I cashed the check, was ignored. But now I suddenly OWE them. And what do ya know! I emailed them back and I was once again ignored. So i guess i might be seeing them in court since there is no way Im giving them any more of my money.So possible future renters, beware. They are crooks.Im sure Ill get a rude response to this but hey, at least its a response! 🤣

They are definitely fair but talking to them make me feel like Im on an episode of real housewives. And theyll ask for money just like them too

Be careful this place will agree to end lease early, ask you to move out because they have approved new renters. Then they dont move in and Riverbend continues to charge rent after they verbally agreed and requested I move out early to accomadate the new tenants. Shady place be careful.

Pay your rent on time, keep it clean and they stay out of your business and are top of things. They are super great to work with and very friendly!

My father-in-law (in declining health) rented from this company. As soon as we signed the lease and mentioned ‘disabled’ they promptly made the unit handicapped accessible. We have had ZERO issues with them and have rented from them for several years. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone. When my father-in-law passed, they were very polite and understanding and patient. And the communication was wonderful throughout. They expect a clean unit, respect for neighbors, and timely payments. These are all things everyone would expect of a renter. I promise you won’t be disappointed renting from them.

Riverbend is awesome! Their properties are some of the nicest I have seen in Eau Claire. You can see a lot of owner pride in the details. The office team was great to work with in finding my new home. They were also so great at welcoming my family to the Eau Claire community. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for housing in this area.

My family and I had discovered a gas leak the day after move-in. Unfortunately, it meant I needed the water heater replaced, but Riverbend and their contractors were very prompt and attentive when helping to solve the issue. Everyone at the office is very nice, helpful, and accommodating, especially in a time of crisis. They fixed the problem in a timely matter and I am glad I ended up renting from them.

Riverbend was quick to post my apartment for subleasing and a tenant was found and I am appreciative of this, however services were haphazard on occasion. Nicole was pleasant to work with.

These people are wonderful! They saw online that i was struggling looking for a specific place and they reached out to me with a few different options that provided everything i was looking for. we were able to set up a showing for the very next day and loved the place. They were very quick to respond when my refrigerator broke, and were generally good with upkeep of the property. Very refreshing to see a landlord that takes their job seriously and genuinely cares about their tenants.

In 2014 myself and my partner were searching for a new place to call home. So many other rental agencies declined us, wanting to rent to families. I have 4 sons and my partner has no children. I wish I can give 0 instead of one star ,I’ve contacted this company over a month ago to let them manage my 2 properties in Eau Claire,I spoke with Ms.Mary Proznik and she agreed to manage them ,she sent me an email and said that her manager will send me the contract to sign ..we waited for 4 weeks or more nothing was sent to me !! I sent her emails no responses...!!!And when I finally rich her by phone she was very rude with me and denied that she promise to send me the contract and manage the properties with me ,she was very unprofessional...my husband was a real estate manager for over 25 years overseas..he was really shocked by the way she talked to me and the unprofessional way she dealt with us ,I’m really very disappointed and sorry for the way you as a good company deal with people.

Awesome people to work with. Always answer the phone, maintenance crew its timely and does a great job of replacing/ fixing almost everything. Houses are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend working with them if you are new to the area or just looking for a new place.

This is the best rental company I have gone through and their places are updated and nice! They also worked with me when I had roommate issues; as long as you pay on time, keep a clean home, and dont disturb your neighbors, there shouldnt be issues. They send out regular bulletins by email to keep all tenants informed and up-to-date on upcoming events. My apartment building is cleaned regularly in all common areas. Even from the beginning, I had called every week to see if any new properties had opened to meet my families needs; we found out Riverbend property terminates a lease w a purchase of a property through them this is why we wanted to rent through this company. —- Tammi always answered my call or called me back in a timely matter, even when no properties were available. My family and I were out of state so it wasn’t an option for us to tour any rentals, and Tammi and Ali literally spent HOURS helping us find a new temporary home. Even when the first lease didn’t fit our needs (property owner challenges) they stepped right up and quickly- within days of move-in found us a new (better) rental to fit our needs and made the overwhelming inconvenience of moving again worth our while. Beware of this rental company. They are rude and hard to work with. I filed a complaint with the state on them. They received a WARNING from the state as of Dec. 7th. Its a tenants right to have an itemized statement in DETAIL when they take your deposit. In my case they did not. The state found them negligent of this.

I called to setup an appointment to view a rental. Both myself and the manager were late to the appointment, but I called to at least notify her. As soon as I drove up into the apartment complex I see the manager waiting in her car, but she calls me and has an attitude because I was late.... I apologized, but explained that I called to notify her I would be late ahead of time. She continued to be rude, never even got out of her car, so I told her I was no longer interested. This is a new place and this manager also seems inexperienced. Cant imagine what living in this apartment complex would be like....

They have no idea who their tenants are... And they do not care... Just so they get their rent payment

Does not take responsibility when prospective customers are looking for a place. Not only that but the VERY limited hours that they are open. Makes it difficult for those who work during your regular business hours. Does not take ownership when lack of response times for emailing back and then blames you for not keeping in touch enough. Does not seem organized what so ever.

Company discriminates against applicants. Representative spoke to me in a very condescending tone when I questioned my denied application and even laughed at me. Never once have I been declined to rent an apartment! And for such absurd reasoning.
