Reserved a pickup truck to move furniture 2 weeks in advance online. Branch calls me 3 days before to confirm reservation and tells me Im not eligible for the USAA discount I had secured. Agent was adamant that I was not eligible and did not even care to ask for clarification from management. I had to call corporate to ensure I was given the discount I knew I was eligible before. On reservation day the manager calls me 1 HOUR BEFORE I had scheduled pickup and told me they had no truck to give me and the best they could do was a sedan. Completely foiled my plans at the very last minute. Do not trust this establishment

I just had the best experience with Enterprise. The location is 765 E. Columbus Avenue in Springfield Massachusetts. I needed a rental while my car was in the shop. An Enterprise employee picked me up at the repair shop and brought me to the rental shop. I had the pleasure of dealing with Travers Curtis the Branch Rental Manager. He was very professional and quickly set me up with a rental. The employee that picked me up was friendly and professional. I was planning on a multiple day rental, but my car was ready late in the day, so I had the car one day. I returned the car and a quick transaction later they brought me back to the repair shop where I picked up my car. Great people and will rent there for all my future rental needs!!! Very happy experience!!!

I’ve been renting from enterprise for months now for work from the Boston Rd location in Springfield MA with no problem... I went to the location on east Columbus ave in Springfield,MA the last time I rented because it’s closer to my job and it was the worst mistake ever... well I had to bring back the rental I got from that location after hours because the company I work for was going to rent me a car for travel. I fully inspected the car when I returned it and made sure everything was okay, but I did not take pictures so I guess that was where I failed. The next day, I get a call from them stating that THE CAR HAD A DENT THE SIZE OF A BASKETBALL on the passenger side so they filed a claim against my insurance and I couldn’t rent another car until it is resolved. I just got a call yesterday saying that they will be closing the claim because it WAS NOT THE CAR I WAS RENTING! Before filing that claim their employees should have verified if it was the right vehicle assigned to me. They take days to return my deposit BUT file that claim BEFORE EVEN VERIFYING. Im so upset about it. NOW I know to take my own pictures when returning the car. Maybe even just take my business elsewhere. HUGE INCONVENIENCE.

Scheduled a rental car for 10am on Friday. They called us 30 minutes prior to tell us that the car they had for us “got in an accident” and they wouldn’t have one for us until 1pm, delaying our trip we had planned. We got there at 1pm and had to sit there and wait for 45 min before someone helped us and “quickly cleaned the car themselves” to give to us. Upon entering the car there was someone’s hair tie along with other garbage in the vehicle. The vehicle smelt SO strongly of cigarettes and weed that we had to stop and buy an air freshener and anti nausea medicine because it was making me sick. We rented for a trip, and because my vehicle is in the shop. We returned the car and decided to rent out a vehicle at Hertz instead and they were so professional, fast, no BS, and CLEAN. I will never rent a car from enterprise again.

Wow....the downtown Springfield location is wonderful. I recently rented a vehicle and had a problem, I emailed and the branch manager responded immediately and more than made it right! The customer service i received was phenomenal! Will certainly refer and do business again there.

Usually I dont have an issue here, How ever last time I rented a vehicle here I returned it 2 hours before the drop off time. The guys were busy and dealing with costumers so I dropped the key off in the drop box and left. I got a call the next day saying I had the car for an extra day!?!?! What? I informed them exactly what time and day I had dropped it off and that they could even check their cameras if they needed to. They still charged me for an extra day... So I will be callingtheir Corporate office and taking my rental needs elsewhere.

Given the times we are in right now the service was quick. The only disappointing part was not having the Enfield branch open. The staff in Springfield is great - they retrieved my reservation and offered me two cars to select from. Once selected I was on my way within mintues, just a quick review of the car was all. Upon returning my car the wait was a little longer but it was early (right when they opened) and several folks were in line. Given that I still felt that my overall time in line was quick given the number of folks there. I even had at least 2 employees ask if I was taken care of. I would recommend Enterprise.

Worst customer service ive ever talked 2. Everyone that works there is clueless and not helpful at all until you threaten them with calling the corporate office. I will never rent from them again. The best part is I rented a car 2 months in advance and talked to them and confirmed the day before pick up they just gave my rental to someone else the day I was supposed to pick it up and almost ruined my trip.

I had a wonderful experience with enterprise from the very beginning. I reserved my vehicle and got a response the next morning. I was in and out my vehicle was clean and sanitized. It was more than I expected. They were also informative about the process and detail oriented. I felt safe and comfortable with the car I rented. I would give them a complete satisfactory 5 stars. Terrible service...had a reservation in for 2wks go to pick up vehicle and they didnt even have one for me. I had to then wait for them to come back from Chicopee getting another vehicle and then it wasnt right to end up getting a vehicle they already had and was cleaning at the time. 2nd time renting from this location. Car was filthy. Had to clean it before we left. The previous vehicle had Gatorade bottles under the seats and coffee and a sticky substance everywhere in the vehicle .The 2nd vehicle had no bottles but was clearly not wiped down as it too had refuse of someone previous.Next day. Thru a snowstorm.Dug car out to get on road and found tires were almost bald. Tried calling Enterprise could not get thru.. I’ve been renting personally and professionally for years and have never had an experience like this.Car had 42k miles.When driving we noticed a strange sound and thought it was the snow. The next day we turned the car on and the same noise. Could not tell if it was engine related or not. Between the tires and the noisy engine this was not the best experience.Yes. Enterprise did their best to accommodate us when we traded vehicle and everything was smooth and respectful.

For the most part my experience is usually great. This particular time I did have one guy who was very rude every time I spoke with him I cant remember his name right now but I will post it when I remember. Also am a very loyal customer and rent very often and yet this time I had issues with the way they were charging me and when they would charge me and it was just a big mess and I feel like they charged Me Too! Much. But for the most part its usually a good experience I dont have a credit card and they always make it seamless to still rent without it.

Called twice this past week to confirm everything with Tommy. My wife and I had to travel to that dump of a rental car agency in Springfield. Tommy was made aware both times we had to go up to Massachusetts from Connecticut to get a rental car. He was well aware we were from out of state he did not tell us that we had to put everything on one credit card only. We had asked him not once but twice can we put a deposit on our bank card and the credit card for the rental car he said no problem again not once but twice. Drove all the way up there for nothing. Learn to train your employees if they do not or cannot do their job then get rid of them useless

Great place to rent a car. But given the times though in I guess their pockets are a little tight because they change policies without notifying customers or given a notice. As Ive done in the past with no problem now they take no after hours returns and the lady I was speaking with lied and said she or somebody was in the building when I returned the car which was at 1:15 15 minutes after they close they also take bigger deposits on cars

ATROCIOUS customer service. Rented a vehicle from here last week, had the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Upon arrival the gentleman who greeted us was right off the bat in a mood and giving us an attitude. He brought us to the first car and it smelled like smoke so I asked for another, the first car had such an overwhelming smell we couldn’t even tell that second vehicle also had a subtle smell of smoke, we took it and drove off. When we turned up the AC and the car began to wreak of cigarette smell. I immediately called requesting a different car, to which I was told can’t do anything about it until Monday. What a sad and pathetic answer, we picked up on Thursday, our return date was Monday! With no help from this location I learned from the corporate # you can exchange a vehicle from any location, finally found a location with a vehicle, 1 hour away in Worcester (a huge thank you to Dusty and Karen at the Madison St, Worcester location for saving the day!)After 4 hours the manager (Travis, same rude gentleman who gave us the vehicle, with a very different tone this time) finally calls us, and asks “what happened what can I do to fix this?” Buddy. That’s why I called you 4 hours ago to help fix this what’s the point of calling now. Problems been solved, no thanks to you.Now for part 2: returning the vehicle.Upon returning the vehicle I told the rep the situation and that Travis should have made a note of a discount. I had the receipt from pickup in my hand stating $261 (pre-discount) he comes to me and says “ok after your discount it’ll be $281” and after some back and forth he proceeds to tell me the charge was “$320 not $261 because the car is 1 hour late” with an attitude, he finally removes the charge for the extra hour, hands us a receipt and says you’re all set. No apology. No empathy. Nothing. Just here. Bye. As if I inconvenienced him..Terrible terrible terrible service.To top it all off, these guys are guaranteed not cleaning or sanitizing the cars, there were visible stains and no sign the car was even wiped down. Also had the last renters hair tie and small belongings in the side door panels. Heck they’re giving out cars that wreak of smoke with no remorse, cleanliness is not their top priority.Avoid this location at all costs.

Went online to reserve a truck from the Enfield office and was advised that I would get a call to confirm the details the day before ( no call ).I called them and was advised that I would need to pick up at the Springfield location and that they would place an additional $200 hold on my card until I returned the truck. (None of this was stated on the website.)Strike 1I cancelled the reservation and attempted to reserve it at Bradley instead, however the woman didnt speak English well and told me that I had to have the truck back by 12pm. I told her that she probably meant 12am. (Doesnt make sense to only be open from 4am -12pm). I told her that Id instead call back.Strike 2FINALLY, I spoke with a lady who knew her job and setup the reservation. I asked her about the $200 hold and she advised that all locations are different and Bradley is only 20%.The day of, I go to pickup my rental and no one is in the office. I called Enterprise (again no one called to confirm) and was told that I needed to go to another rental place instead. I drive over and yet again, no one is in the office. Eventually, I got my truck but noticed after the fact that they overcharged me (I had a $40 gc). Not surprisingly again got the run around.Strike 3All this to rent a truck for 3 hrs and use a gc. Never Again!!!

When I got home with the vehicle and opened the back door there was something smudged all over the inside of the window! When my son pulled doen the cup holder on the back seat it had a soda lid and was sticky. Which means the car was not cleaned inside, with covid you would think they would be cleaning and disinfecting these cars!

The car we received was not cleaned but was labeled by the assistant manager that it was. There was mayonnaise and so much food stuck on the buttons as well as the console. Not happy to pay so much and not receive a FULLY CLEANED VEHICLE ESPECIALLY DURING THESE TIMES. WE HAVE CHILDREN TRAVELING WITH US AND WE WERE TOLD BY THE ASST. This is the worst company in my nearby area. Nothing to do with employees of the same company but on Boston Rd! They treat the customer in a friendly way and if the customer doesnt understand something with pleasure they do, compared to the other establishment on East Columbus Ave. They treat the customer badly, in the worst way, they are rude, the manager of that Place is the worst, they reserve a vehicle on time and are never available or smell bad of marijuana. Rented a vehicle through my insurance after being in a accident there was tree sap over the vehicle. The gentleman I was dealing with walked around the vehicle with me and my mother and pointed all spots out. Month later brought the vehicle back and was being accused of the spots especially a spot where they tried removing tree sap prior to me renting the vehicle. Staff were very courteous and found a car to fit my insurance daily limit. Talked me through the additional optional costs in an informative but not pushy way (Thanks Brandon?). Car was great, and clean (Minus the previous occupant who smoked in it despite all the labels reminding you smoking is prohibited). Had a minor issue with my final bill but Shaneice addressed that super fast. Overall, wouldnt hesitate to use again but to other drivers please have some self control and realize other people dont smoke!!!!

I am a regular Enterprise Customer my job consist of traveling. I usually rent my vehicles from the Palmer Ma location and today I tried the Columbus ave location and I regret even trying. The employees and management have poor customer service skills here. They did nothing to ensure customer satisfaction. I left this location disappointed because the Palmer location ensures customer satisfaction and they go above and beyond for their customers. Unfortunately their not open on Sundays. Today Enterprise lost $ and a potential regular customer at their Columbus ave Springfield location. A year later and your employees still have poor customer service skills. I understand their in the City and have to deal with a lot more than most enterprise employees however if their going to let it effect their job performance then maybe customer service isn’t the job for them. I am so disappointed with the service I received today. I recommend the Palmer location their a lot more pleasant and polite they go out of their way to assist their customers.

If I could have gotten a better price for the 4 days for the same vehicle I would have rented it. I had the 2018 Nissan Rogue and I loved it. What I really didnt like was the marijuana smell that came from behind the customer service desk. What make me believe that they are allowed to smoke in the work place during the shift. The service, car, etc. were all good. The downtown Springfield, MA location, however, is really inconvenient to anything. Getting there requires navigating through spaghetti highways and local roads, and it is close to nothing. Otherwise, theyre all friendly, helpful, and very nice to deal with.
