Phone number listed is not a working number and the corporate number could not give me an updated number. I flew into the Branson airport thinking it and the Sprinfield/Branson air port was same thing. That is my fault, but not being able to contact them because the number on the information is not accurate is not my fault. Stuck and frustrated.

Be very careful renting from these guys. We rented a car recently, used it for only 64 miles and returned it in good condition. Later we found out that our credit card was charged for Damage at return without any notice to us at all. No email, no phone call, nothing. We called in later asking for proof of the damages and havent received anything. Its not uncommon for rental car shops to charge for false damages, and this is definitely a shop that cant be trusted. You should reconsider before renting from them.If there truly were damages, a bill should be sent, or an email, or a phone-call, describing the damages and the costs. Not just a blind charge with no explanation or notice.I hope no one else gets scammed like us.———Update:It turns out the dealer was in fact charging for false damages after all. We sent in some pictures taken of the car before it was driven and the damages were already there.We were able to receive a refund for the damages from Hertz.Still be cautious of this specific Place.

Booked a last minute car rental after I missed my 6am flight. I was able to book the car for pick up at 6am. The website, phone line and sign at the desk said Hertz opened at 6am. Yet when I went to pick the car up, I was told by Jadonna (person behind the counter) that they did not open until 7am and that she would help me after that time. When I pointed out all information states opening time is 6 am, she stated very rudely again that she didnt care, she didnt open at 7am and would not assist me until then. Honestly, this was the first and it will be the ONLY time I ever book with Hertz. Jadonna had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Thankfully, Budget/Avis was open as well and the agent at that counter had no issues assisting me and getting me in a car and on my way.

Booked a car rental through Expedia and went to pick up at the airport on Thur. Oct. 1st. It was in my girlfriend’s name but when she went to get the car they said there was no reservation under her name. After repeatedly saying she did have a reservation, the woman behind the counter refused to help her locate it and became very rude. I had to go in later to “prove” she had a reservation with the confirmation email from Expedia. I then gave her my CC to pay and she appeared to swipe the card but immediately said it was declined. I asked her to try again and she refused. I asked her again and she still refused and said to come back in 24 hours and she would try again. Who would in their right mind wait around at the airport for 24 hours to try again?! I called my bank and they said the card was fine and there were no attempts to run it. The woman at the counter was effectively pretending to run my card but in reality was refusing service for no apparent reason and being dishonest about it. In the end we had to go across town to enterprise and get a car there with zero issues but much extra hassle to the us. Horrible desk clerk and we will now never consider using Herz for anything!

My experience with Hertz Rental Car - Springfield Airport is the single worst, most frustrating business experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring. The rental car itself, and the process to pick it up, were uneventful, and as many renters do I turned down the companys insurance. Upon returning the car, I was late for my flight and so did not have an opportunity to fuel the car before returning. After reaching my destination, I received a Vehicle Incident Report from Hertz Springfield Airport stating that I had damaged the bumper of the car, and that I needed to sign the report and return to Hertz. Its a long story, but basically, there was no chance that I had caused the damage and I therefore refused to sign the report and the unlisted charges therein. Three days later Hertz Springfield produces a second report stating that in fact, I had damaged the door, front and rear quarter panels, and the bumper and that they were charging me over $1000 dollars for the damage. This report was never directly given to me, I only received it after my car insurance disputed the charges after the whole incident was forwarded to an independent billing agency who was now charging for a non-itemized bill totaling over $1800. While this was all being handled, Hertz corporate then sends me a letter telling me that I have been suspended from renting from the company and its affiliates for not filing an accident report, despite that fact that Hertz themselves filed said report, and that it had been in the hands of my auto insurance for over 2 months. Finally, after numerous back and forth conversations about the seemingly fraudulent nature of the initial as well as subsequent reports,with my insurance company, I was finally able to reach someone within Hertz corporate who as of only this morning cancelled the charges. I have spent well over 20 hours of my own time trying to handle this matter, not to mention the unknown hours spent by insurance company, attempting to resolve this mess. The whole episode has taken over 4 months to resolve. In the end, it looks like someone from Hertz Springfield probably damaged the car while refueling and just dumped it on whatever customer they could. Meanwhile, I have had to deal with the consequences of this fraudulent treatment by Hertz Springfield Airport, and the incompetence of Hertz Corporate and its affiliates. In essence, do not rent from these people, its just not worth it.

I booked a car on line paid with credit card on line . I am in California used my card since my daughter doesnt have one . She gets all the way to the rental place at airport and then they tell her she has to have the card with her I even talked to the agent himself and he said they cant use my card because its not in Brendas name the card has to match the driver how the heck do they expect parents and grandparents get their kids from one place to the other. I doubt I ever use them again

Well I seldom do this but it needs done. I arrived @ the Hertz counter and a young lady said congratulations you got our upgrade today to a jaguar ! I thought wow! Never thinking that the local counter changed my Corporate Discount Program Rate! I left in a mess! However, when I returned the car the manager was more than fair and fixed the whole situation! I was very grateful fearing the worst but got the best! Thank you manager!

Ive been a member with Hertz for over 10 years now, I am a Platinum member now. My wife and I came there on a vacation to Branson Missouri. We reserved a Luxury car and requested a Jag and ended up getting a beautiful black Jaguar XF pulled up to the curb with the A/C running, doors open for my wife and I. They put our bags in the trunk for us, and also had two water bottles and an umbrella for the weekly forecast. Ive never been so blow away by customer service before.Thank you once again!

We were given a 2018 Chevy Malibu (Vin#: 1g1zd5st4jf255029) in Lincoln Ne, the acceleration was ridiculously slow. Wouldnt go over 35 mph when getting on the interstate in front of vehicles going 75mph. It wouldnt accelerate well until over 60mph, which took forever to reach. At stop lights and signs when idling it would jerk and chug. Something is seriously wrong, this car needs serviced before someone dies. Took it to Springfield MO. What a hassel to get another rental. They asked us to empty our stuff out so they could inspect the car first. I explained that our car was packed full (with a dog included) and we needed the other vehicle to move stuff into first that we werent laying our stuff on the curb/street till they get their inspection done. What a hassel. After changing us out through 3 vehicles we finally got one that worked well. The assistants were helpful but the issues were stressful and unbearing. After moving vehicles 3 times due to car malfunctions or oil changes we were bound to leave something.... the garage door opener. Thankfully Lance and Austin found it and were able to ship it to us. Thanks for all of those who helped us in this eventful process. I would give it a 5 stars even after all the hassel with vehicles but I worry about the vehicle inspection process. This needs to be looked into I think to save hassel for employees and customers.

I went there on the 12th of June 2019 about 14:30 They had a sign up CARS AVAILABLE Most rental agencies had sold out. I ask the young lady at the desk if they had a care and how much it was. She said they did not. I mentioned the sign. She looked at her screen and then said they did have a car and just before she told me the price, a womans voice came from the back shouting $80 a day. I said that seemed a bit high. The voice from the back shouted MAKE IT $100 A DAY! The young lady rolled her eyes but repeated the price. I did business elsewhere.

My work rented a group of us employees cars from here to drive to Pennsylvania back in May 2013.Hot darn as I was the last one to check in at the counter & all they had left was a new 2014 gunmetal Challenger...earlybirds get the turds I supposeAll the other employees got small crossovers & midsized sedans with room for passengers while a coworker & I had to deal with the freedom of reclining seats: (we told everyone there wasnt room for adults in the back, teehee.)I dont know what was the worst part; the 30+ avg mpg, the comfortable yet taunt ride, the excellent sound system, the incredible smugness of ourselves contrasted by the equally incredibly hateful stares by the 5 coworkers stuffed into each other vehicle, or the absolutely embarrassing face stomping said coworkers received when they tried to race us on the freeway.Hertz has yet to let me down.

This the worst car rental experience I have had and hope to have. This location is rude and offensive. They gave me 2 sets of keys to transfer items from the car I returned due to suspension issues. I then got a new car which I am happy with. They called me and let me know he had my license and then proceeded to let me know he was going to call the police on me if I do not return the keys to the airport 45 minutes away. I also need my DL. They people then were terrible the whole way out.
