We purchased new flooring just before the covid crisis struck, and had to postpone the job for over a year due to high risk health issues. April worked with us on changing dates until we felt comfortable having crews in the house. They were understanding and solicitous, and when the job was finally completed this spring, we were so pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the friendly and professional crews who did the work. We highly recommend PJ. Hussey and will use them again in the future.

PJH construction was an excellent choice to get repair work completed in a professional and skilled manner fitting us in their busy schedule. Victor was an excellent drywall craftsman, Colton repaired our front wall, and Alex prepared our bathroom floor cement and skillfully retiled the floor. All 3 men were professional skilled craftsmen. I have been with this company for many years , i lost power due to a garbage truck , for 5 weeks, what did PJ DO? they sent a generator and more costing them, while they also paid for another appt to rent free ... to the neighbour .......myself , im stubborn ...A woman with many issues aka COPD , emphysemia . mental issues ....etc ..... patti has always been there for all of us in the cottages ````````````

This is a company who lazily dispatches maintenance workers to apartments which they manage but don’t own, and that’s it. They don’t care about you. They don’t come to the property themselves, nobody assesses what’s going on at your complex. They don’t care if your heater is broken for weeks straight in December, they don’t care if your neighbors are yelling profanities for hours with their doors open or letting their dogs bark all day long every day, they don’t care if your bathroom is covered in mold, but they surely will raise your rent in the middle of a global pandemic.Housing is a basic human necessity. Let people have dignity. You take half of they’re monthly income for this.

I called because I was interested in a property they had a for rent sign on and they never got back to me

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have been dealing with this company for a year now and my construction project never was even started. They do not call or email you back at all. I would be worried that if project was started, it would stay unfinished. I have asked to talk to owner but no one has responded. I have sent email but no one responded. Stay away from this place. Run as fast as you can. Dont waste your time or money.

I recently moved into terrace view apartments 4-20-21. 622 n 9th ave. unit 302. On this date 4-22-21 my apartment had plumbing issues regarding the toilet not flushing, leading to feces coming through my shower. This issue was not handled until approximately 10 pm. Roto Ruter was the company P.J. and associates inc. hired to supposed fix this issue. I was told by these plumbers that they (roto ruter) had spoke to patti and that a cleaning crew was to clean the property due to this plumbing issue.Feces had soiled my towels,my shower curtains , and bathroom cosmetics and essentials. This cleaning never happened. I had no issues the following days. I was out of town may 1st -6th. When i returned i proceed to do laundry 5-7-21. I woke to a knock on the door that the neighbor below me had a plumbing issue tied to my unit. My toilet proceed to not be able to flush and overflow once again. maintenance was not done in a timely manner and this issue was supposed resolved around 8 pm. I woke up in the early morning of 5-8-21 to my toilet not flushing and overflowing ONCE AGAIN! Emergency maintenance had no sense of urgency when I contacted early morning. Three times in less than 3 weeks of move in is UNACCEPTABLE! Please take note I am extremely frustrated and unhappy with P.J.Hussy and Associates inc.

This place is by far the worst place open they kept my deposit for paint I have put in over 20 wookorders to repaint and when I moved they gave me a 50. Check that was expired and said they forgot to mail it

Great management company!!! Wow...can’t believe I said that because so many owners have issues with their management companies and then just decide to settle on and “ok” company. PJH regularly gets rental rates at or above market. My units never sit vacant for long. ...and they reached out to me regarding a bit of damage to the property and helped me score HUGE with an insurance claim. They’re great!!!

Anytime that I call to talk to Ellacia Maxey, she is always attentive to my concerns, complaints, or compliments. She always does her best to meet my needs. i have been communicating with her for almost 2 years and would not want to see that change. The Receptionist is always pleasant on the phone and greets you with a smile when you go in.

Andrew came out to bid on a single-room remodel. He had great ideas, and I signed up. They showed up on time , completed the job on schedule and on budget - even making a couple of small accommodations for special preferences. One week later and the room looks beautiful! They were very communicative and professional throughout, and even did a great job leaving the premises neat every evening during the work. I’d be happy to recommend them for similar, as well as much larger jobs!

We had a small but complicated project that included removing some relics from the 1980s: a built-in entertainment center, and a kitchen peninsula. Removing both exposed big gaps in the tile that covers 30% of the floors in our home. The previous owner left only seven extra tiles in the garage. Alex and Rob really worked hard stretching those seven tiles, making everything meet perfectly, and filling the gaps without any noticable pattern changes. Its the kind of job my dad taught me to always do. I am so impressed that we will continue to use P. J. Hussey for our bathroom and kitchen remodels. I haven’t rented in over 35 years and I’m not the best with technology or the internet or email. I was looking for an apartment in Arizona all the way from my home in California and what I thought would be a frustrating experience ended up being so easy and almost fun! I personally worked with Alana throughout the entire process and currently when any issues arise. The entire staff is professional and on top of anything that needs attention. I would definitely recommend working with this property management company. Alana is very personable and clear on the process to get a place with them. They continue to impress me and you can’t really say that about property management companies. At least not in my experience.

This place is stealing peoples money

Changed rating to 3 stars based on the response.I saw the story on the news and have no affiliation with the family or the property management firm.You claim that you only execute the wishes of the property owner and do not want to see anyone put through tough situations. Let me ask you what steps you took to assist this elderly couple? Is the property owner still a client? If you, as a firm, actually cared, you could have told the client to take their business elsewhere and assisted the renters in finding another place to live and assisted them. You could have done the right thing but chose not to. If the news story misrepresented you in their coverage please let me know.

This company is absolutely horrible I have been trying to pay an eviction for a good time now. We were evicted from a trailer which had no AC which if we knew our tenant rights the tables would absolutely be turned around they would technically be owing us $1,500. I have contacted their lawyer their lawyer points the finger at their client their client points the finger at a collection agency the collection agency points the finger to the judicial Department being that we cant take care of it because they are not the collection agency. The collection agency actually advised us to file a motion to get it taken off our credit this is preventing my family of 5 to get into a home which is quite unfair and very hectic especially during the covid-19. All I will say is if you will at any point in time be in contact or rent or rent to own or in any state well deal with this agency at any point in your life know your rights as a civilian as well as a tenant because they will use you and abuse your rights and they know what theyre doing just remember they do this every day and a deal with Tenants more than you they know what they are doing.

SLUMLORDS Hands down the worse place I have ever rented from. This house was never move in ready. We handed them $3K and they had two weeks to get it ready. Move in day they had landscapers outside blocking the whole drive way. I thought that was interesting since they had two weeks to get that done. The next day I woke up with my eyes closed shut. Im highly allergic to dogs and cats and I could tell the carpet was full of animal hair. So we vacuumed and OMG is was so bad ton of dirt, dog and cat hair. They didnt even shampoo the carpets after the last people lived here. So unbelievably gross. I could go on for days about what its been like here the last 8 months. Like in January -the fence they told us they would put up in June. Well its August and still no fence. We literally have dogs running through our yard because theres no gate. Not safe for my kids. Two weeks ago we called for our AC to get looked at cause it was clearly breaking. Well here we two weeks later with a fully broken AC and its a 100 degrees in the house. Save yourself rent from someone else. Oh and the property supervisor Ellaica Maxey. All she does is Lie, lie, lie and lie some more. She is absolutely horrible and rude. Has no customer service skills what so ever. Run for the hills.

Initial inquiry through online sites is met with a auto-reply to call them. Eventually they email you back with screening quetions, and apparently wont even get back to you if you have not been at your current job 6 months or longer. Could have easily paid most of the years rent up front. Unit still appears to be available nearly a month later.

Great, fast service! Approved very quickly and Claudia was amazing when it came to getting us in to sign our lease! She asked when and I had said ASAP and she got to it and got our package ready and had us in the same day! Very thankful that they worked so quickly and Alana responded back quickly to any emails I’ve sent! Definitely would recommend!

There is a list that I could state in here about bad things with this institution, but to make simple it as much as possible for someone that’s interested in accurate feedback.Stay away|Try to use any alternative path at all costs, seriously. For those that have called emergency maintenance how did you get through? This is the second emergency situation that I wasn’t able to reach emergency services! Their phone system must not be connected because I’ve tried numerous amounts of time tonight to connect to at least be able to leave a message for emergency maintenance and it won’t connect me to maintenance at all.... every single prompt pressed just leads to the receptionist voicemail which makes no sense! I’ve had electricity issues before and now there were sparks flying out of one of my outlets even with nothing plugged into the outlet! The sparks were so bad it looked as though it was going to start a fire and the outlet is now burnt! We have had to turn off power to two of the bedrooms because they are in the same breaker! To add to this I work from home so I don’t know how that will be able to happen with my set up in the bedroom and no per able to be connected! This is so dangerous!

Great Staff. Ashley and Alana always answered questions promptly and went out of their way to help. Ashley gave us info on the apartments and Alana handled the finances and credit check. We had some problems with the lease not being accurate and coming later than expected, but Alana took care of all of that until everything was right.Christian at the front desk went above and beyond when we picked up our documents. No one had told her we were coming, but she was tenacious and found our stuff. The apartment was not cleaned properly when we arrived and the keys were wrong, but again Christina came through and sent a maid that day and got everything fixed.Kristin in maintenance was wonderful. Not everything was working when we arrived, but she saw that all things were fixed right away and checked to make sure we were happy. Her maintenance staff was friendly and helpful when they arrived.I was not happy with whoever was responsible for making sure the apartment was ready, but everybody else at PJ Hussey pitched in and made sure that everything was fixed quickly. Although my deal to secure a place fell apart,( no fault of theirs), they returned my deposit immediately and in full! They were very, very professional and super helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone because that is exactly the type of treatment I would want for those I know and or care about the most. The staff here is phenomenal. There was a bathroom fire in my apartment the morning I needed to go get a food box, but couldnt leave until the staff was finished with the repairs. The manager brought me food, the maintenance staff was on time with every step of repairing the bathroom from cleaning to painting. I feel so blessed that I was taken care of so well and all in the same day with true professionals.

I had a complete kitchen remodel plus tile flooring in two rooms and hallway. There was a few things that needed correction, BUT they fixed ASAP and we more then willing to make things fabulous. I lived at the Cottages at Hayward for a short period as I moved to another city and had to break my lease early. I have zero complaints! Whenever I had any maintenance issues they always took care of it right away. I loved my neighbors. Everyone definitely likes to know who is living next to them and comes to introduce themselves. As for PJ Hussey, the owner and the manager (Ellacia) were amazing! They made the experience 10/10. If I ever have to move back to PHX I will definitely move back to these condos.

This post is almost not worth my time of day but maybe beneficial to others so here it is. Friendly but dishonest company. They claimed they told me about a deposit which after 3 phone calls by me never occured. And dont expect them to return calls. All 6 phone calls to include 2 with the manager are by me. Also a manager that tries to argue about her long list of calls to reason why she cannot return a call is not professional salesmanship. Her raising her voice to boot...not professional. And also tells me her excuses were not genuine. Call a spade a spade. I dont want a rental management company that is so over run that during a showing they quote the property to another person. Also the apartment is still listed. 3 people cannot rent one space. It is also comical looking from the outside in how I just dodged a major bullet. I pray they are more professional with their tenants. Nothing is more of a nightmare than a dishonest landlord.

Fantastic experience from quote to project execution! We had two new lights installed with no attic space and new boxes needed and the jobs were well done, friendly and knowledgable electrician, all areas left tidy after like no one was ever there. A+++. Would recommend without hesitation!

PJ Hussey did an amazing remodel of a couple of apartments in Scottsdale. I am so excited to be moving into my new two bedroom apartment. Everything is completely renovated and I cannot wait to decorate. My new apartment is not the typical stacked apartments you would find in Old Town but it is rather a one level home. When working with the agents at PJ Hussey they were all very professional, the process was seamless and were very attentive to my needs. If you have a chance to look into some of their rentals or remodels you wont be disappointed.

I recently moved into a residence managed by P.J. Hussey. The AC unit was constantly running, but the place never seemed to actually cool down. I called the office and left a message for maintenance late Tuesday night and was contacted by 8 AM the next morning by Kristen Brickler. Kristen was nice and easy to work with and even got someone to check out the AC unit same day! I am so thankful and impressed by how quickly she resolved the issue!

My water heater wasnt working. They sent Tom to fix it. At first I thought its a small problem, but it turned out to be something major (it was a very old heater, leaking water, broken pipe and all that) and they had to get a new water heater. Tom worked the whole afternoon to make sure the new heater fits to my old/small space. He was so polite, patient, and hard working. AND he cleaned everything up after the work (including my apartment and my yard), didnt leave a single mess. I really appreciate his work and effort. Thank you Tom!

Tom the maintenance man is THE man. I called him to fix my water heater the other day and not only did he take the time to do it right, he also fixed my squeaky door and outside security door while he was here. He is usually the person that I get when I have had maintenance issues in the past and he always does a great job. Very professional! Thanks Tom.

I am so happy that we found Andrew and his team. They have been so amazing with all the projects we are having done with our home (exterior painting, bathroom remodel, built in desk and shelves, and landscaping). Highly recommend PJ Hussey, we will be calling them for anything else that we need done in the future.

They do not handle any of the issues in the apartment we rent. We have had a pest problem since we moved in and they want us to pay for pest control. The apartment wasnt even move in ready, walls were dirty paint is old, building has a funny smell. I refuse to work with a company like this again. I give them no stars.

They do an excellent job managing them, and their Maintenance Department is great. If you are looking for a company to manage your Multifamily Investment, I strongly suggest them to maximize you returns.

The staff at the Phoenix office have always been courteous and showed concern for our issues.We had a broken window which was replaced promptly. We have however been dealing with a leak in the roof. We reported it to maintenance and the staff who has come to accompany the inspectors (our building is pending). During the last rain we have the water coming down a different spot. Yes I have pictures and I will inform them again, in person, of the leak today.

I had a great experience the year I rented from PJ Hussey. Any issue or concern I had was handled quickly and professionally, whether with maintenance or neighbors. The unit was also beautiful with a full renovation done by pj Hussey before moving in. Ellacia and Alana always handles my concerns promptly and were understanding when I couldn’t give a full 30 day notice to move out. I took care of the apartment so I was happy they didn’t nickel and dime me and returned my security deposit in full. Great company, and I wish I was still renting from them!

Juan and Tom both came and did an amazing job replacing my water heater! They made sure everything was working correctly and cleaned up after themselves! 5/5 for me!

I was having a problem with my toilet backing up. Tom was sent to do the job. Tree roots had clogged the toilet so Tom worked late in the evening to fix the problem. He was polite and professional and left the area spotless. The root problem was not a easy fix. I appreciate Tom`s hard work and sticking with it till the job was done.

I rent my home from this company and I think they are amazing! They have a person on their maintenance crew by the name of Mario who really knows his business! And the property manager Ellacia is a Fantastic manager! When I come to her with any problems she gets right on it !And a shout out to the rest of the crew of which I dont know all their names! My sister is renting an apartment with my niece from this management company. The paradise lane location. They had complained about the downstairs neighbors numerous times. Even had to call the police because my sister could smell weed all through her apartment. They did nothing about it. Well the fire below caught on fire. I was there also with my son and wife visiting from out of town and at about 2 in the morning the neighbors banged and banged woke us up because the downstairs was on fire. The smoke alarms never went off at all and my neices room was filled with smoke. Shes 6 months old. She contacted the leasing office bcaise her apartment is completely smoke damaged. Needed to be moved asap for health reasons. They refuse to move her. Now she has no place to stay I live out of state. The apt manager Alicia or whatever her name is told her she didnt know what to tell her. My sister Said she was not payi g rent until something is resolved. I was in the apartment for maybe 10 minutes helping her get some clothes for my niece and basically trying to figure out where we were going to put her and my son and my wife are both vomiting it was so bad in there the apartment manager told my sister she didnt know what to tell her we have her on recording they sent an inspector out to the apartment he said that the apartment is not okay to stay in and hes requesting that they move her ASAP. The apartment manager still said she didnt know what to tell my sister she had two options either terminate the lease and basically give up her deposit because shes trying to prorate the rent of how long my sisters belongings are in the apartment which is not right because she hasnt been able to even be in the apartment for more than 5 minutes. Or she said she could move out in five days or shell take her to court. Come to find out the owners had no idea what was actually going on in her apartment the fire department said that it was not up to code for health reasons the safety reasons and the inspector also said that we have both of them and the apartment manager on video saying what they said. Now my sister finally got a hold of the owner yesterday who said she had no idea what was going on and that she could go in on Monday and talk to them they didnt have another apartment available for her keep in mind they have rentals everywhere and that when my sister moves out and Returns the keys that the landlord will give my sister back her full deposit which really does nothing because she still has no place to live and is going to have to come up with another deposit and all that stuff to move now and is now had to be sleeping on someones couch for the last two weeks of the month with my 6 month old niece. So well see what happens my sister has nowhere else to go so hopefully theyll offer her another two bedroom which is what she had Im sure she doesnt mind where she goes but this needs to be resolved or we will push her into getting a lawyer. I know that easy thing for normal people would be just to sign the voluntary termination and get the deposit back but when youre a single mom that doesnt have much money to begin with and youre just kind of starting out you have nowhere to go and not really that much family in the state youre kind of screwed so thats where my sisters out right now with this management company thats about to get sued. I will say that the owner has been very nice but still has not offered my sister another two bedroom which is what should have happened from the very beginning after all they did offer the apartment to the people that did like the other apartment on fire and my sister was basically just out of luck the apartment managers words were we dont know what to tell you pay your rent or get out well it wasnt really fair that my sister would have to pay rent in an apartment with that she cant even be in for 5 minutes with my niece so luckily and now my sister has to move an entire apartment into a storage with U-Haul with a 6 month old Alone aweosme

Ashley and Alana were so helpful with getting me into my new rental! Ashley was able to schedule a viewing the very next day after I reached out with interest. She even waited for me to run to QT to get amoney order, so I could hold the rental during the application review.Alana contacted me by phone to get clarification of my previous rental verification instead of taking false information from my previous apartment.After approval, they worked so quickly to get me into my new place. It took only three days after my application was approved. I cant explain how perfect this was for me!Not only was the process quick, but they answered all my questions, which I had a lot of them. :)What a great rental team they have over at P.J. Hussey and Associates!

Had a couple small fixes that needed to be taken care of when when I moved in they sent over Tom from maintenance he was polite knowledgeable and helpful

This company never return your calls when you need something fix, but they are quick jack up your rent, I hate dealing with them.

Worse place they use to be decent but now i couldnt call to get my husband rent amount when he had sign the paper saying they can talk to me when we got assistance for our rent they didnt want to take it want us to pay it not sunny slope had to fight with them when i have cam for assistance for thing i need done with the appartment they wouldnt help i dont recommend this place at all

PJ Hussey worked only for the benefit of their own bottom line. Operating my rental properties through PJ Hussey cost thousands in open apartments and unnecessary maintenance bills to support their in house operational costs. Vacancy rates where way higher then industry average.

The entire experience has been terrible. They issued me the wrong set of keys 3 times. The unit had not been cleaned or repaired from the last tenant on my move in date. They also have not repaired the washer and dryer and oven in the past 4 weeks I have been here.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOLE.

Everytime there is a maintnence problem they come on thier time & when ther isnt a maintence problem there is a sewage problem! My mother in laws sink didnt work 2 weeks ago & im on the lease as well & NOW the sewage is backed up & its her only bathroom I hope they dont make her wait 3 days with a bathroom or there will be a problem.

Ellacia Maxey has provided us nothing but excellent customer service. She has prioritize our needs and has been extremely helpful throughout our time in this lease.
