I called Cooks on a Friday evening and he came on Monday afternoon. He answered all of my questions and gave me solid advice. We opted not to fix our oven, based on his recommendation and information. He then went on to describe for us the best options for a total replacement and brands to avoid based on issues he has seen in the field. He is honest, responsive, and knowledgeable. Cooks has my recommendation and my life long business.

Bob Cook, the owner was awesome. Responded right away and was here Ina come hours. Was good as new in about 15 minutes. Was super friendly and professional. Will definitely use him in the future and highly recommend him.

I called Mr. Cook at about 11am, and gave him the model number and the issue I was having with my oven. The heating element was out. The other popular appliance repair shop said their wait was three weeks out, and required a $35 reservation fee to reserve an appointment; in contrast, Mr. Cook checked his inventory, had the part, and came over that same day by 4:30. Took him approximately 10 minutes to fix the issue. Didn’t overcharge, was efficient and kind, and gave us some helpful cleaning techniques for the hard to scrub areas of our oven! We’ll definitely be back if we have issues with any of our appliances.

Bob is an outstanding guy and responded quickly for us as we had a problem that needed addressed in a timely manner - our fridge went out right before our son’s graduation party. Bob fixed the problem and party was a success! He is a very skilled, honest and responsive person. Highly highly recommend.

Refrigerator quit cooling sometime in the early morning hours. I made a call to Bob shortly after 10 am. He was in the area finishing another job and was able to come by quickly. From the initial phone call to job completion was right around an hour. Thanks for the quick and friendly service. Price was reasonable. Will use his services again if ever needed.

If I could I would have given 0 stars. Our dishwasher broke down about 4 weeks back. The person came in took a look and said the impeller motor isn’t working and its difficult to get a part so we should get a new one and charged us $75. We were able to get the part online and called them again letting them know that we have the part and if they can come and fix it now. They said yes, however since then they have stopped picking our call and no one has come to fix the dishwasher. We have made several phone calls since then which were never answered and even went all the way to the store and we were told they would come and fix and no one still showed up for almost 2 weeks. We have stopped following up and had someone else come and fix it for us. Very unprofessional. Will never recommend to anyone.

Cook’s was responsive, knowledgeable, on time and willing to ask questions to truly understand the problems. He also asked for the model number prior to the visit so he could have spare parts on hand and not have to come a second time to fix a problem like most appliance repair companies. He worked around my timeframe so I didn’t have to take time off work. I will use Cook’s again and will also recommend to clients and family.

Bob Cook did exactly what was needed. He answered his phone, arranged an appointment for me promptly, and knew what the problem was from my description of the issue. Price was comparable to most service professionals; fair price for the work. I could have ordered a part, waited for it and fixed it myself. But my time is valuable to me. We were unable to secure a certified GE repairman locally, so we chose Cook Appliance Repair based on previous Google reviews. Bob answered the phone at 7 p.m. and made arrangements to come to our home the next day. He arrived as scheduled, assessed the repair needed (a bad circuit board), and ordered the genuine GE part. He called us when he was on his way to install the new circuit board (less than 24 hours from his initial visit.) The service charge was $40 less than what a GE certified technician would have charged and he was able to purchase the circuit board for less than what he thought it would be. We will definitely call Cook Appliance Repair again!

Our dryer quit heating. We are forever customers of Cook’s!!! We can’t say enough wonderful things about Cook’s!!!! We didn’t have a clue who to call so we Googled “Columbus, IN appliance repair”. There are a few repair businesses in neighboring towns which we did call two of them. However, they weren’t willing to come to Columbus for almost a week and their “quotes” for replacing the heating element were almost 3X the price we paid with Cook’s!! We just happened to call Bob Cook in between appts. and he came out within 20 minutes. After diagnosing that the heating element did indeed go out, he replaced it and cleaned out all the lint from the lines and around the motor. He’s VERY professional and knowledgeable...and efficient! From the time we called him to job finish it was a little over an hour!
