Ive only lived here for a few months but so far things have been great. There were a few bug issues when I moved in, but they went away after pest control came. The maintenance team is friendly and responded quickly when my AC went out, identifying and fixing the problem within minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable living.

The amount of things wrong with this apartment complex is absurd. Ive lived in at least 4 different apsrtment complexes in multiple different states and this one was just horrible.Cons:- Poor maintenance team, they do patch work and are sometimes rude and dont want to be fixing any problem in your apartment.Example - We had multiple different spots where mold was growing , they came the first time and sprayed it and thats it. Of course it grew back because thats not the complete way to treat mold. The second time they did literally the exact same thing. It took them 3 times to come and actually remove the part of the ceiling where the mold had grown and actually fixed the issue but it took them almost 2 months with MOLD growing in our apartment.- Poor staff (at times) - regarding that same mold problem a person at the office questioned me about the mold saying it wasnt actually mold, and we went back and forth and she literally argued with me about the issue. I know exactly what mold is and what it looks like. She got defensive and actually yelled at me over the phone.- Apartment had warping cabinets and inside of cabinets even had mold growths. Particle board was exposed and warping inside almost every cabinet leaving musty smells that we had to treat at our time living here. The apartment had windows that didnt work properly and sometimes took alog of force to actually lock, the screens in the same windows were also broken in some windows.- There was a bug problem, upon moving in there was cockroaches in our tub.- The apartment was not cleaned before we moved in. Massive amount of dust, dirt, debris in various rooms. It was very unprofessional and a standard should be there to have every apartment cleaned before new tenants arrived. Once again a standard that was used in ever apartment Ive ever lived in except this one.- Sewage backed up into our tubs and toilets, and the way they dealed with it was to release a valve containing God knows what, feces, urine, any other bodily fluid, into the grass next to our apartment and onto the road where animals inhabit , children play, ect. It was in my opinion a huge health and environmental hazzard clearly and was an unprofessional way of dealing with that exact situation .- Dangerous around with loud noises , burglaries and smaller time crime happened in imitate area and actually on the grounds of the complex. We got a note on our door telling us this information.Pros:- Bug guy came after our request the next day to spray and he was nice (someone who doesnt actually work at the complex).- Located right next to hwy 58, with multiple stores located close by.Other than those pros I really cant find any other pros for this apartment. My roommates and I had a very tough time living here and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone , especially anyone with a family or multiple people living together.Take your money and use it at another complex closer by thats more safe and tenant friendly and cleaner, theyre are multiple other ones close by to this specific apartment complex.

Very upset and disappointed!! I payed my security deposit 2 weeks ago to hold the apartment and I have been informed from another occupant, that isn’t the main occupant, that they had passed us over and gave our apartment to someone else due to “lack of communication” concerning phone calls that neither I nor any other occupant have received... Now we have less than a month to move and nowhere to go..

We have lived here for almost a year and we love it! The apartments are very nice and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. When we have any maintenance issues, they are usually fixed very quickly. The only complaint I have is that the walls are VERY thin. We hear neighbors through the walls every day. Other than that, we have had a great experience here!

I have lived here for close to 3 years and overall, it has been a fairly good experience. The office staff has always been great. The outside look of the apartments/community is always nice. There arent many kids on my side so I dont worry much about outside noise. The unit did have roaches when I first moved in but they switched pest control companies and I havent seen a roach since. My biggest complaint is that the cost goes up every year and even though they may update some units, many are not. Like mine. Maintenance will come out quick, but they patch up the problem as opposed to fixing it. The BIGGEST problem is the walls are paper thin. I live on the bottom and my bedroom is under a kitchen/hall area. Every one who moves in seem to live in that area of their unit so its ALWAYS noise from them walking, animals running, or a kid playing. Nothing can be done about this unless they knock these apartments down and rebuild with better insulation. I would think after youve lived in an apartment longer than 2 years, your rent would not go up every year but hey, they have a business to run. I am definitely looking forward to moving into an actual house again because apartment living is just not for me.

Very disappointed today as my husband and I have been waiting for months to use the workout room and found out that it is still closed. While many other gyms in Chattanooga are now opened, the Hills at Oakwood still have not been willing to open their facility. When moving into our apartment in October, we looked forward to using the workout room instead of having to find a local gym. Seems like we should not be still paying for amenities we arent getting each month.

Honestly, I really enjoyed living there. Renee and Jennifer were the best when moving in and taking care of the entire process. Weve been living here for three years, and are on our fourth lease. Its a safe community. We have gotten to know our neighbors, and the staff here very well. There were some bumps along the way but the staff are always professional and attentive to our needs. They take care of things in a timely manner. And while there was in the past in a bug problem they got it under control. And I havent seen one in a year. We still get regular spraying. They were very diligent in taking care of it, as my son is very allergic. They have always been very transparent and honest with me. And its been a pleasure living here.

Update: The manager responded to this very quickly and handled the issue with the move In special misunderstanding. Everyone was very polite and the process was very pleasant. Its good to know they were willing to work around a misunderstanding and try their best to make things right. :)So I went in yesterday and talked to the leasing agent and she gave me all the info I needed and seemed very nice. She told me my rent would be half off the first full month. I filled my application and paid the app fee and deposit then emailed check stubs and everything the following morning, only to get an email back saying the move in special was called off that morning and was no longer available.. after I had already paid my app and deposit fee. The move in special was the determining factor in my decision to apply. Now they say that not only will I not get the move in special they told me about 16 hours prior.. but that I cant get my app fee back.. and it will take 30-40 days to get my deposit back.. very unprofessional. I cant help but feel lied to and tricked into applying. Im very disappointed and can see where all these bad reviews come from.

It took two weeks from the time I applied and paid my deposit to get an actual confirmation (and for them to tell me I had to pay and additional $600) which was the DAY BEFORE I planned to move in.They couldnt be bothered to do an inspection with me, so I wrote a detailed list of about 40 issues I found during my own inspection. When confronted about sticky stains on the carpet, I was told they werent there during the initial inspection which is a lie, and also leads me to believe the carpets werent cleaned before we moved in. The most theyre offering me is to spot clean those spots, which hasnt happened yet after living here a month. (Considering I found multiple spelling errors in the lease, I would say my observation skills are probably a little bit better than the managers.)ROACHES!!!! Ive asked several times for the place to be sprayed for bugs, and they told me a specific day theyd have it done. I paid to have my pets boarded and requested the day off from work, just to find out they had written the wrong unit down so it would be a put off another week. There is so much water damage in the kitchen and bathrooms, and its very obvious they just painted over it instead of fixing it.The dog park is a joke. Im pretty sure its the same size as our living room.Long story short, they do half a** repairs, theyre hard to get a hold of, and even more hard to get any work out of them. They came and put a new water heater in and tore the walls up and from then I stared seeing bugs coming from there told them about that never did anything. The maintenance staff is really good as well. Havent had the pleasure of meeting them as of yet but they are very prompt about coming to fix any repairs. In November of the same year I had to move out due to financial hardships. Jennifer was very considerate and just great about maintaining the property the whole time i was there. During my stay the air broke down and she immediately sent someone out to fix it and we were only without it less than 12 hours. She always took care of anything I asked her for. They have a great staff of people there and my apartment when i moved in was in great condition. I almost ended on complete good terms but my nephew became severely ill and it put me in a major rock and a hard place following all of the directions in exiting the property . So now im out and i still have all the respect in the world for Jennifer and would recommend anyone to choose this place when needing somewhere to live :)

My husband and I recently moved out of the British Woods Apartment Community. It was our first home together as a married couple and the entire experience was negative. On move in day we noticed a strong smoke (cigarette and marijuana) odor in our space. We voiced our concerns to management and nothing was done about it. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors talking, watching television, singing, using a hair dryer and, on occasion, being intimate with one another. We constantly received notices about inspections being done with only a few hours notice...requesting things to be moved prior to their arrival. There were never enough parking spaces available and we often had to park on the back side of the building (which isnt safe when I come home late from work alone) and walk without street lighting. Even though we were rarely home we received noise complaints. We often received pet policy violation notes. These would come to us because we werent abiding by the lease agreement when disposing of animal waste properly. These were false allegations made towards my husband and me. Our pets are very tiny and the animal waste that was left behind was that of a very large animal. When we gave our notice to break our lease, we turned it in more than 30 days in advance We understood that we wouldnt be eligible for the deposit we had made and that we would still have to pay the following months rent- but those were small prices to pay to leave. We moved out before our 30 day period was up. We turned in the keys on the 5th day of the month and scheduled to electric to be turned off on the first. Our landlords then sent us notice in the mail that we still owed them $197.46. There was only a few days given for us to come up with the money to pay them. On the day it was due we had a family circumstance arise and simply forgot to bring the payment by. Instead of calling to remind/notify us of the due date they immediately turned our account over to collections and it has now effected our credit score.I wouldnt recommend anyone to live here. They may say that they care about their residents, but they do not validate that statement often enough. This, being the first home by husband and I shared, was supposed to be an exciting adventure-but it wasnt. We tried to make the best of the situations that arose while we were there, but because they were so frequent we couldnt find ways to overcome.

If I were rating the apartments on quality, attention to customers, and other similar factors I would give it 3 stars or maybe 3.5. The apartment was mostly clean when we moved in, but not entirely. There were small areas with stains, mold, and other minor problems. However, for the most part the help staff were friendly, and the maintenance guy was friendly and got things done. It was a mostly nice-looking apartment, and met our needs fairly well for the short term.Unfortunately we had to move out. Major reasons included: My wife saw drug deals going on in the playground area and parking lots on numerous occasions. There were sometimes shouting matches or even fights, especially at night. Sometimes a lot of loud laughter, hooting, and hollering at 9:00 or 10:00 or later at night, from groups of hoodlums outside. Also the walls were not very sound proof, so we had to endure the neighbors music and TV. It became a very unpleasant experience, and we didnt feel safe.On top of that, the apartments online payment system continued to bill us after we had moved out. We had to manually stop that, and it took a long time to get the extra payment refunded to us. Not very professional.

My significant other and I applied to love at Hills at Oakwood and each of us paid our application fee after explaining to the leasing consultant that our credit was bad. With what was said to us she made us believe we would be approved. So, we also paid the requested $250.00 security deposit to hold the apartment for us and then when we were turned down we were told we could go through a lease guarantee company and with what she was seeing we would be approved so we paid ANOTHER application fee and were denied right away. She then said it would take 6 weeks for us to receive our deposit back which is against the law since we were never tenants. Be careful giving this place your money. We did finally get our deposit back just a few days after letting them know their time frame is against the law so, at least that’s something. We do now have a home secured. Our denial here was an open door for us to get approved somewhere even better. We just want to make sure no one else gets taken advantage of like we did.

Wish I could give less than one star. First, the apartment was infested with roaches and other small creatures from day one to the day we moved out exactly one year later. Through our lease we requested pest control numerous times, it didnt even make the issue better in the slightest bit. Before moving out, I asked about the move out process. The receptionist wrote my forwarding address down incorrectly; therefore, our bill they tried to send us was returned to sender. They tried to call but I had their number saved from living there and the numerous calls I had to make for pest control, I never once saw a phone call. And neither did my other roommate. When I asked why they didnt just leave a voicemail (which theyve done in the past), they said they dont leave voicemails with this kind of information. SO, they only way we even found out about it was because my roommate was trying to apply for a different apartment 3 months later, and it came up on her check. So WE had to call THEM just to find out about it. Oh, and that bill was for OVER $1,000. PART OF IT being pest control they had to hire. Another part for not giving them a 30 day written notice for MOVING OUT AT THE END OF OUR LEASE so they had no idea we even moved out. Even though I turned in my keys and gave my forwarding address on the last day of our 1-year lease. We are currently speaking to a lawyer. So, no. Absolutely do not live here.

But the smell takes over the apartments like crazy so bad you have to leave the central unit fan on for like 3 hours... its pretty much unbearable. And then they all smoke cigarettes right by the door and the smell comes right in. It is awful because Im allergic and so are some of my friends to smoke.BUT their is some very good things to say about this place. The maintenance guys are finaminal! I found out that the apartment is in bad shape and I was lied to by the rent office that me paying the 250 secures the apt and that I could view it. It is very unfair that the rent office expects me to pay the 2bedroom rate until the 1bedroom is available. That is not what the letter I signed says. Now Im living in an apartment with everything packed up and I paid for a U-haul and took off work for 9.16.16. The only way I found out that I wouldnt be moving is when I called the rent office 9.14.16 which is not how you conduct a business. Im extremely disappointed and feel that I should pay the 1bedroom rate because of the lies and no communication. Im beyond frustrated that Im living in a apartment with everything packed up and unsure when Im moving. He found a water leak in February in the ceiling and the came and patched the problem. Now 6-23-14 he found a lot of black mold in the laundry room and came and patched the problem. After we have Complained they are now sending someone to see about repairing. He and his roommate have been sick for months and now we know why? They are only giving us 48 hours to get our things out before they start to tare into the mold. We only have 2 months left on this lease and they will not let us out early. My son will not be living in these conditions for 2 months. I do not care if we have to pay. I would not recommend the complex to anyone. The same day we moved in we saw roaches in refrigerator, the dishwasher, all in the kitchen. we saw roaches everyday in every room. There where roaches even in my dogs food that was in his bowl. We told them the following Monday as soon as the office opened. I told her I was allergic to roaches and showed her the paper work. She was rude and acted like she didnt care. She couldnt get anyone to spray to days later because they dont for us. They did 3 treatments and roaches were still there. The manger wanted to move us to a one bedroom, but that wasnt what I paid for. She said she couldnt promise there were no bugs in any other unit! Make a long story short we found out the roaches were coming from behind the stove and had food which was there before we stayed there. For three weeks we had to live in a roach infested apartment . They would not let is out of the lease until we hired a lawyer to come talk to them. Before this I tried calling corporate but no help. They eventually gave me my deposit and first months rent back only because we were going to take them to court. Dont waste your time. The showroom looks way better than what you will get. *Update below* I had been living here for nearly 2 years. The first year it was in a unrenovated townhouse and we had no issues aside from some bugs during the hot months. Then I got pregnant so we wanted something a bit bigger, and nicer. My lease was ending in 3 weeks but they told me they couldnt hold the 3 bedroom garden style for me, that if i wanted it id have to pay a $300 transfer fee and a $250 deposit to break my current lease and claim it. Upon moving in to the supposedly fully renovated, everything new apartment, the ceiling in the dining room was leaking. I was informed someone would be back to paint over the leak stain but even after putting in 2 requests for it the stain it still there to this day (11 months later). The central AC from DAY 1 did not work at all. It took 3 full weeks for maintenance to fix it (why did i have to pay $300 to break my other lease early for an apartment not even ready?!). Maintenance had been over nearly every other day trying to repair it but when they would fix one part another would break that they would have to order. Meanwhile im a hot, pregnant, sick mess from not having any AC. Didnt even receive a discount on rent or anything. Fast forward a couple months later we had a kitchen sink leak (that required 2 visits in the same day because they never fixed the issue) then just about 2 weeks later my husband goes to flush the toilet and the freaking pipe pops off and fell behind the wall from the water pressure and water starts completely flooding our apartment FAST. This was at 12AM and emergency maintenance means nothing when they dont even live on site. It took 40 minutes for maintenance to show. 40 minutes of my apartment completely flooding, the carpets soaked, everything. Now fast forward another couple months and my dryer stops heating, the outlet is made for range cords (ovens) not dryers. So from what I read online those cords require more amps and volts than a newer dryer can handle and its a big fire hazard. I had to screen shot the safety issues I found online and email them to the office in order to get the outlet swapped for one built for dryers. So they install the new outlet and my dryer still wont heat, I go and buy a brand new set only to have the same not heating issue. I message the office to make sure maintenance replaced the fuse for that outlet so it is giving the correct amps/volts and of course they didnt so I wasted $1500 on a brand new w/d set for no reason. Another month goes by, it starts getting cold but of course the heat doesnt work. Maintenance came, fixed it, then around a week later it was hot again so I goto turn the AC on and what do you know it only blows hot air now. So I cant have heat and AC, nope. Its one or the other. Now as it approaches the hotter days I wanted to make sure the AC was all fixed since we wont need the heat for a while. 2 weeks ago maintenance came twice both times said it was all fixed but nope, temp continued to rise when the AC was on. Couple days ago they came again and couldnt figure out the issue so they told me to wait until Monday so the office can send someone to look at the vents. Now Ive been told my rent will increase if I renew in a month but they dont know by how much yet. My lease ends in 29 days. I got notice what the rent change would be last year 2 weeks before my 30 day mark. I cant give 30 day notice without knowing my options as far as rent cost goes. Overall living here has been hell and for all Ive been dealing with my rent should not be increased at all. The ladies in the office are super friendly and so are the maintenance workers but they need to invest in long term repairs, not quick, cheap, temporary fixes. Ill update my review when I find out if my rent will go up and if my AC actually gets fixed.Update: Rent did indeed go up. We were forced to renew as we werent able to find somewhere else with availability on such short notice. That full year even upto the day we moved out the AC still never got fixed. It was hell. Dont move here.

I lived there twice. Once for two years then again for another three. The rent was cheap at the time. 590 for a larger two bedroom.i could put up with the roaches...the outdated appliances..the constant smell of marijuana..the noisy neighborhood..the holes on my kitchen counter, because it was cheap.but when my rent kept going up because OTHER apartments were getting updates (though my apartment still had a dish washer from the 80s, an oven with a faulty door and missing rack and gobs of roaches even though we were really tidy..not to mention a crappy ac, etc etc), my roomate and i decided to leave.P.s. the dog park ...that basically replaced a pool. The pool was better.Pps.my roommate saw a turd in the onsite laundry room once.

This is the worst place ever, I would never recommend this complex to my worst enemy. I wrote two checks one for the application fee and one for my deposit and I ended up having to write another check for my application fee because they lost it! Then the manager told me I wrote two checks for $250! They are not professional at all and they have too many temps floating around, I would watch out for this place they are very untrustworthy and unprofessional. Do not live here! You will regret it!

Dont move here. Ive lived here less than 2 weeks and my childrens bathroom faucet came out of the wall on the 1st night here spewing water all over and then draining into my ceiling and into my living room. Maintenance came and put it back in the exact same way. So its not fixed at all. Then my master shower started leaking on my staircase. They are waiting for a construction company to give a bid but when I contact AJ construction there is no answer. Every toilet clogs at least 5 times a day. Every appliance that is connected to water has had major leaks and they half ass fix it. They used paint to cover water stains. I had home depo test it. My master bedroom door had the wrong size screws in it and it fell off the hinges and hit me in the face. They dont replace carpet they only wash it and it still smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Screens are wrong size for windows down stairs. No bugs in my apartment but im sure its because of all the leaks they will probably drown. I have attached pictures for your viewing pleasure! Again DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I would give them less than 1 star if possible. In the time my wife and I lived there they did nothing but lie and take no responsibility for anything. My wife was promised new countertops for 3 years and they were never completed before we left. The oven broke and took so long to be replaced we lost over $100 in groceries and was told tough. We were told that the refrigerator was going to be replaced and never was. The compactor had messed up and the office never turned in a work order on it so I had to fix it myself. The company that owns these apartments and the people who run the office are nothing but thieves and liars. I would recommend no one have any dealings with these people. I know I never will again.

My roommates and I are renting out the 3br, and we’ve been here going on two full months. Keep in mind: I’m from Memphis, one was in New York, and the other in Chatt, as we started the application process. Management conserved with us with no problem, and made it 100% stress-free.I want to say the reviews here made us very skeptical. We had nothing to go on, but reviews, but the professionalism of the staff, and the fact they actually RESPOND to the Google Reviews with reasonable and obvious solutions was a plus for me, since I’m a straightforward person. SO! I decided to convince my roommates to take a chance!First, the assistance the apartment management offers for college students is beyond superb. They understand that we’re just beginning, as far as credit and previous residency. We were approved without a co-signer—something NO other apartment complex (cheaper or not) wouldn have mumbled. Our apartment is beautiful. Literally. I love the fact that the walls are a more grayish tone, as oppose to white. The fireplace actually works—tested, and can’t wait till’ winter. The dining area is veeeeery spacious (wasn’t expecting that). Now, to be transparent, when we moved in a few of our cabinets were not installed (about 4 doors), but they were finished within two days of moving in. It was no biggie for us, and management made sure to keep us updated immediately. We did come across a few roaches—literally like 3—our first week. It’s expected, as the apartment was empty, and we don’t know too much about the cleanliness of our neighbors, and right on the other side of our front door is outside where bugs roam freely. Lol. Did a nice bomb....no more roaches. Also, when the neighbors next door yell, you can hear it. It’s nothing arbsurd. Normal conversations can’t be heard; just when yelling to the tip!We haven’t needed to use 24/7 maintenece yet, which is a good thing. The neighborhood is pretty much quiet and considerate. I witnessed several residents picking up their dogs’ doing. It’s prettt diverse, which was a plus. There’s several ways to pay rent, which is convenient. Management is always nice and professionals and prompt with responses. The laundry facility is great and accepts cards and Apple Pay (AMEN!), as well as quarters. Thanks H@OW!Make sure to get DETAILED description on what “emergency” means with the 24 hour maintenance. I would’ve thought me being stuck outside would’ve qualified. My key, THEY GAVE, wouldn’t unlock the door THEY fixed about two-three good months ago. Mike literally asked me “Your roommates don’t have a spare”...DUH, Mike. Plus, I would’ve obviously used my roomates before even contacting him after hours. So, of course, they recommended me to spend more money with a locksmith. Yeah, it might not be that serious, but I’m only 22, and expected a little courtesy, hell. But this is life. So, I appreciate the lesson early during my life: Have a spare key, ALWAYS, incase another Mike is your maintenance man. So, a pamphlet of what qualifies as “emergency” should be given.Oh, and and my roomates’ keys didn’t work either.

They did nothing but take money from me and my girlfriend since we moved in. The manager never did anything to help and they tried to tell us our carpet was infested with fleas even after we brought them a vet note that said our dog had no fleas or flea dirt on her. And the people that live have zero control over their kids. The same group of little kids kept climbing all my bike after I politely asked them stop twice. And theyre infested with roaches but I only had a pest control visit 3 times the whole year that we lived there.

This place was awful!! The staff is VERY unprofessional! our apartment was around $800 for a two bed room 750 sq ft. We now live in a 1500 sq ft 3 bd house in st elmo for $900!! also the place had roaches and black mold both of which were never addressed, it also ad no vent for laundry lent! the lent actually vented INSIDE the wall can you say fire hazard? Now to the staff they are all extremely rude and disorganized, with the exception of some maintenance men. Also on top of everything else we found a used needle beside the dumpster outside our apartment! we took pictures of it and it also was never addressed. In fact the ONLY decent thing about this place was that the pet fee was 250 flat even if you had more then one pet. PLEASE BE ADVISED AND BEWARE!!!!!

Its sad when you go to get information on a property trying to move and the leasing agent..assitant mgr is down right forced to do her job. Called over the phone spoke with someone else very nice. Told to come out and take a look at a unit that was available..drove 20 mins to get there and be told nothings available to show me. Gave me a blank brochure and I had to ask her to write the prices and information on it. Put a very bad taste in my mouth. Did not want to help me at all.

Would not recommend living here! I am not getting evicted and i am not just trying to make a bad review just telling the truth but my lease is up at the end of this month and I can not wait to go! We have had a rat because a hole in the kitchel floor. All the hard wood flooring was uneven from moisture underneath and needing to be replaced. But never was replaced. The management is very unprofessional and didnt have our apartment ready for our move in date. They waited to tell us we had an additional deposit after we jad already paid everything and was about to move in. Now they say they have new management, matainence, and pest contol now though hopefully they get better but i still dont recommend because they are way overpriced for what you get. Amenities suck (no pool) the walls a paper thin you can hear and smell everything from neighbors so if they smoke your apartment will smell like smoke too(comes through vents) we also had a break in to our vehicle alomg with many others that reported to the office and police. Not a good place to live at all

Where to start? When my family and I moved across the the country last year this place seemed almost too good to be true, and it was. We sent all our money as requested and due to not living in the area we didnt get to look at the apartment first, but it ended up not mattering! Before we moved we had everything good to go, had the address with apartment number and had the mail set up to be moved out there. Lo and behold while we were traveling we got an EMAIL saying we couldnt get the agreed upon apartment because it wasnt ready but they had another one that was. Seeing as we didnt have a choice we moved into the 2nd apartment. Upon entering the place for a pre move in inspection it was filthy, the floors were so bad if you wore socks or were barefoot the bottoms would be black. The cabinets were disgusting and had dead bugs in them. But we were told not to worry the cleaning company was supposed to come and finish the cleaning job. They never came back, unfortunately we had nothing else set up so we signed the lease. It was only then that we realized how bad this place was.Our upstairs neighbors flooded our sons bedroom not once, twice but THREE times!!! They simply forgot that the hose on their washer wasnt connected properly. This caused a massive about of water damage and then came the mold and mildew in the walls and ceiling. Our sons bedroom ceiling came down in pieces more times than I can remember. The managements response? Absolutely nothing, they would send their maintenance team to spray the mold (which did nothing btw) and Spackle over it . When we called about the smell of mildew and mold in the place we were told that theyd come take a look at it...they never did, not once.Their property manager is the least helpful person I have ever come across. We constantly had a problem with wasps getting in and we were told our building was scheduled for spraying for pests, never happened. All in all this place is not worth moving into, dont even consider it. I am sure there are people who have not had bad experiences and I wish them the best of luck. Finally if they say theyre going to schedule a pre move out inspection dont believe them, they never showed for ours. They took most of our deposit for cleaning even though we cleaned for a week before moving out.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for three years. The first year was fine but the last two was nothing but trouble. You have to stay on them if you need something done and even then that still may not work. We moved out on July 29th 2016 It is now Dec. 19th 2016 and we have yet to receive our deposit back. We were told it would take 4-6 wks. Weve called SEVERAL times and have been getting the run around. I was told I would get a call back but nothing and now they wont give us the number to the place that actually sends the checks out. Im assuming their hoping well just give up. A few of my friends asked about this place and after what Ive said theyve decided to look else where

I have lived here for almost 11 months now and my experience has been absolutely appalling. Upon moving in, the apartment was filthy. There was a cockroach problem in my building that was not fully disclosed. Baby cockroaches have plagued our kitchen the entire time we have been living here despite sprayings by pest control. The baseboards and floors around them were discolored with dirt and mold. The paint is so thick in some areas that it peels off in clumps. The bathroom ceiling paint is cracking and falling in large heavy chunks almost daily. The carpet was in horrible condition as it was worn down in heavy traffic areas and had multiple cigarette burns. There were chunks missing from the linoleum in the living room and kitchen. I could go on and on about other various little things wrong with this place.Although this complex is pet friendly, clean-up rules are not enforced. One must always be vigilant while walking in any grassy area due to dog droppings literally everywhere. I have even found gifts left on the pavement of my back porch. We also have a neighbor who scoops out their cat box clumps and throws them right out their back door. Lets just say cleaning poop off your shoes after a long day is not a fun, relaxing event. The apartments and surrounding neighborhood is a ghettoized area. There is heavy traffic, lots of loud music and I have observed questionable interactions between people (violence, drug activity, and other suspicious looking people). I try my best to just do my thing and mind my own business. I have had my vehicle tag stolen and my car alarm has been set-off before. I discovered that gruesome murders have happened here. My roommates and I decided to do some internet research after we became suspicious that this might be a high crime area. There was a woman named Chandra Powell who lived here just a few years ago. She was found wrapped up in a blanket on her living room floor with horrendous stab wounds by her young children after they had came home on the bus from school. We then read that her children had been allowed to stay with a friend hers named Brad Stewart who had fought allegations of sexual offenses against children in another state before all this had happened. It was later found out (even after their mother had been killed) Stewart was molesting one of her sons while in his care. I havent been able to find any updates in Chandras case stating any progress. But back to these apartments... Other shootings and stabbings have also taken place here, some resulting in homicide. I regret not looking into these things before we signed our lease. The management company running this place are also not very easy to deal with. I have been unable to work due to a horrible workplace injury where I shattered my elbow and injured my shoulder. I admit I have been late with my rent on occasion due to workers compensation issues and not having my normal full paycheck. Even after gladly paying their late fees, this management company will utilize tactics of harassment and threats of eviction to no end trying to get their money. I have eventually paid them every cent owed however they have really left me with bad feelings towards them over issues I just couldnt control. Overall its been a nightmare living here and I can not wait to leave.
