I moved from Bolingbrook out to Calumet City and I was having a difficult time finding a nail shop that treated me like a person and not a number. When I contacted the salon I spoke with the owner Ms. Sonya. She is just the biggest sweetheart ever but she does NOT tolerate drama and negative energy into her salon which is definitely felt when you walk in. Oh did I mention this a BLACK OWNED BUSINESS?! Angie is my go to nail tech. She is the first nail tech to ask me about my medical history. I have diabetes and she knew exactly what needed to be done to make sure my nails were not only beautiful but HEALTHY. Angie is an amazing and talented artist and her personality will make you feel like you have been knowing her for years. But just like Ms. Sonya, Angie does not tolerate drama or negative vibes. That’s just the atmosphere, the actual nail services are great! Angie is so creative I just pick the color and she literally brings my nails to life and they get so many compliments from both women AND men. She takes her time and makes sure you are comfortable and if you like what she is doing to your nails as she is doing them. Trust when Angie does your nails, you really have to be intentionally trying to break your nail if any nails that were done carefully and not rushed will not break. Bottom line is this is my second home and I will never go to any other shops.

Black owned nail shop that’s not ghetto , very professional, and they do pedicures as well with no issues !! I’ve been coming here for a few weeks now and i must say that I’ve never been let down !! Angie gets down on my nails every time !! I absolutely love it here

The techs are nice, but it takes more than that for a great nail salon.The place looks very dirty, and in a state of disrepair. Also, it wasnt until I got home and really looked did I see how poorly my nails were shaped.This place needs a LOT of work.EDIT> No, I didnt get down with a white glove and wipe the place down, which is why I added the word looks, because it does not look clean at all. Maybe its because of the shabbiness, or that everything is so worn out looking. Right when you walk in the door there is a couch that looks like it belongs curbside. Just not a pleasant feeling the moment you walk in the door. There are so many nails salons, this one just needs to try harder to compete. And please, check your work...everyone of my nails is a different shape, and its only been a few days and the paint is lifting off of my nails.

My nail tech Angie is awesome! My only problem is that it is hard to get a hold of anyone to make an appt. However, Ive been there twice and have had good experiences. The only issue with the work is that the polish on my pedicure chips really weird, like the whole color just comes right after a week exactly both times and not just chips away little by little like normal polish does. So not sure why that happens. Despite those, I do plan to continue my business with them.

Mink is a great shop workers are great and the manager is friendly and professional and helpful! I love the atmosphere of this shop!!!

Minx Nail Bar is a nice Black owned and operated business that specializes in nails. It is professional and the service is excellent. The prices are affordable. I will return!

I’ve had a pedicure at this business on several occasions and each time with the exception of once Tracy (I believe that’s her name) has done my service. She’s done an excellent job. The one time she wasn’t there and someone else did my pedicure, it was horrible. But the problem is they say they open at 10am and I have yet to ever have anyone be there on time. I just left today trying to get serviced abs it’s 10:22 and the shop was dark and locked. This has been my experience each and every time I’ve come. Very unprofessional. If you advertise opening at 10 then someone should be there at 9:30 to set up and be prepared to greet your customers.

I don’t recommend this nail shop i came here April 30th and the girl did my nail. she didn’t shape it right, she made it very bulky, polish all around my finger didn’t clean it up, she put to much polish making my finger looking all fat. They also don’t never have nobody in their, waiting all that time for your nails to look terrible.

Truly relaxing and enjoyable. My professional took her time and as a male made me feel at home.

Horrible I called twice and nobody answered the phone. Came to the store black lady was very rude. Sign on the window says walk in and I didn’t even get service.

They couldn’t get the shape or the ombré done correctly. My nails looked like bulbs.

Work is not 2 week worthy, I have been back 3 times for the same set and still my nails pop right off. I will not return.
