Before staying here I tried to find a review that captured what it’s like staying at tide watch but couldn’t find what I was looking for. Staying at tide watch is wonderful. But to be more specific, it may not be for anyone looking for a hotel experience or a vacation in bar harbor. However, it is perfect for the adventurers here to hike Acadia looking for clean cabins and great hospitality. Pack a cooler because the fridge is small and don’t stay in the first row unless you’re social (my anti social self stayed second row and it was perfectly spaced from neighbors). Not recommended for more than 2 people (3 max if you have a designated floor sleeper) per cabin. Overall a great experience and exactly what we were looking for, for almost half the price as if you were to stay in bar harbor which is only 5 minutes away.

Perfect location. The cabins are neat as can be and have everything you need. Having the restaurant next door is super convenient. Highly recommend. I will be staying here again.

The cabins were clean, nice, and affordable and the views of the ocean and the stars were incredible. A short 2 minute drive to Acadia National Park, and a 5 minute drive into Bar Harbor was very convenient, and having the Chart Room right next door was an added benefit. The owners were super nice, responsive, and accommodating of all of our needs. We highly recommend this place, you wont be disappointed!

First time in Maine. The owner Terri was very accommodating. Our cabin was small, but clean and very convenient to Acadia Park and downtown Bar Harbor. We watched the tide come in and go out from our front porch. We also brought our dog on the trip. They allow dogs! We walked next door to The Chart House for dinner a few times. Which was very good!We would definitely return to Tide Watch Cabins.Thank you for a wonderful stay Terri!Jennifer and Walt

The cabin was tiny and cute and faces the ocean. I was a little disappointed that the cabin was not directly on the ocean, which there are 2. I was told I was getting a cabin with an ocean-view which I assumed was one of the ones directly on the ocean. If that is the cabin you want I would just make sure to make that known.

Spent a whole week there last July 2019. Had a wonderful time. The place is cozy, simple, the landlords were very helpful and kind. Their restaurant is great and always full. The place was just beautiful. 10 minute walk to the entrance of the beautiful Acadia National Park. No need to use your car as you can use the Island Explorer all over the island for FREE! The fee to the National Park is so cheap. I hope I will be there again and would highly recommend Tide Watch Cabins!

The Tide Watch cabins were cozy, clean and perfect for two! The views from the cabins were amazing. We loved watching the tides change and the family of ducks swim around. The Chart Room restaurant was next door and food there was great. We would order dinner “to go” and a waiter would bring over our order on plates with silverware so we could eat outside our cabin, in private vs in the restaurant. Phenomenal service. The cabins were steps away from Acadia park entrance and on the Islander bus line. We took the bus into town to avoid the parking and it picked us up and dropped us off at the cabins. All in all we had a fabulous experience at Tide Watch! We would definitely stay here again!

It just reminded me of the way things used to be. Its in a quiet shaded Valley not too far from a stone and pebble beach where you can find starfish. The water is very clear and a beautiful emerald green. The prices were quite reasonable.

Great location, right next to Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor. Gas Station, Peppers Pizza, and Chart Room(fine dining) all within 100 feet. Grocery store 1-2 miles away.Owners were really friendly and provided me anything I needed, including some aluminum foil to wrap up some left-over pizza. We sat on the porch a few nights enjoying the beautiful views of Hulls Cove. The cottages are small, but have a TV, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and mini fridge, and my girlfriend and I had no problem enjoying the space.I will stay there again if we ever make another trip to Acadia.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins on our honeymoon and it was AMAZING!!! Seriously the best place we could have stayed. Its a small cabin right on the water (we were in the row behind the water-front cabins, but the view was still stellar) that simply has a bed, porch, microwave, coffee pot and a bathroom, but is quiet, quaint and conveniently located outside of Bar Harbor just a minute from the entrance to Acadia. The folks who own the cabin also own the next door restaurant and were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. And it was very affordable, even in the busy season.

Couldnt have picked a better place to stay. 1st-Super friendly staff at the Chart Room when we checked in. 2nd- We stayed in the apartment across from the Chart Room and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was very clean, bed was super comfy, sheets were very soft. We made meals pretty frequently, including boiling our own lobsters and the kitchen was very well equipped. My husband and I were on our belated honeymoon and very much so wanted our privacy....thats exactly what we got. I will definitely recommend to any friend looking to travel the area 💙

It doesnt say on their website that they are closed after labor day. I called and tried to make a reservation and the lady who answered was very rude, abrasive and didnt offer any kind of help at all. I will never recommend this place to any of my friends and I will never stay here.
