We had a lovely 3 night stay at the clean, quiet cottage- suitably named Beachcomber. The owners, Kristen & Steve couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Comfortable bed & nice accommodation. We loved having the paddle boards available for our use & the scenic view of the harbor from our window.

Great experience at the cottages. Friendly staff, paddle boards available, near-enough to downtown, but also not. That way you can enjoy all of what the area has to offer without breaking the budget!

Wow... My friend and I came for a girls trip and we were beyond impressed. They thought of everything and more. I cant wait to come back! We were so close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but far enough for a peaceful quiet space. Absolutely loved staying at Bay Meadow Cottages!!!

We loved our stay here! The view out to the water from the bed was absolutely perfect. The cottage comes with a mini kitchenette, with everything you need, and pour over coffee which was amazing to take out to the adirondack chairs they have by the water. Theres a little heater in the wall which warmed up the space very nicely. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable we wanted to ask what they were but forgot! We stayed here for 4 nights while we got married in Acadia, the entrance is just a few minutes down the road. We didnt end up taking advantage of the fire pits they have, but definitely will when we come back! Only thing to note was you need to let the water run for a bit before the hot water came through but it wasnt an issue for us once we realized. The owners are so nice and were very helpful during our entire stay. We washed to stay longer but they were all booked up, so get in early! Thank you for making our wedding stay perfect! Well be back as soon as we can!

We had a wonderful stay here recently. The cottage was clean and looked like it had been recently painted. It was our first trip in pandemic times and we felt very safe. It was clear that the owners were very serious about the safety of their guests. We will stay here again on future trips to the area.

The cutest little cottages that have such a beautiful view. They offer areas to have a fire pit and offer a beach you can paddle board on. The area was quiet and perfect for our weekend getaway.

I cant wait to come back! We stayed in the Little Puffin cottage, which I think is the smallest option, but it was good for two people on honeymoon. The sheets were SO SOFT, we slept so comfortably all week, even through the stormy nights. The complimentary local coffee grounds was a nice touch. The drive to downtown Bar Harbor was consistently 12-15 minutes, and drive to Acadia trails ~20 minutes. Id encourage visitors to stop by the office barn on the first or second day of their stay, because its nice to meet the owners for local tips, and theres a common area to relax and play games, books, local magazines etc. We had a parking space right next to our cottage.

Bay Meadow Cottages couldnt be lovelier. The location is ideal for visiting both sides of Mount Desert Island while being in close proximity to great restaurants and Bar Harbor. We loved our cottage, it was the perfect size for us and had beautiful views of the water from our front porch. The bed was very comfortable, with luxurious feeling linens and the shower had great pressure and was equipped with nice toiletries. I loved having a mini fridge, hot plate and hot water kettle, it made having breakfast and evening tea so easy and affordable for us. Additionally, we loved that they provided us with local coffee and pour over equipment. Lastly, Steve couldnt have been a kinder more helpful host, he gave us great recommendations for restaurants (Sweet Peas!) and hikes - and quickly responded to a dinner recommendation when I was out and about time over message. I cant wait to return and wish them so much success in their business.

Spent 2 nights at Bay Meadow Cottages and it was the highlight of our vacation. Super close to town, the national park, and a grocery store. Lovely view to the bay and Steve and Kirsten couldnt have been friendlier hosts. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return some day!

Perfect location just outside the park. The owners are very friendly and treat you like you are family. The cottage was exactly what my family wanted. A place to stay and feel like a home not a stuffy hotel. I will stay there again if and when I return.

Very cozy and quiet place. Like living in a small home away from home. Perfect for two. Kitchen and bathroom are clean and cozy. Very nice owners. Always helpful. I wouldnt think twice about staying here again. Loved it.

The cottages were located about 10 minutes away from the busiest part of Bar Harbor. It was extremely clean, the owner was very friendly and helpful, and it looked like the nicest set of cottages in the area. The kitchenette was stocked with just enough to be able to cook with, the bathroom had great water temperature and pressure, the a/c worked great. No complaints whatsoever! I will definitely stay there in the future.

Very nice and very convenient. There is a well equipped kitchen (you have to bring your own food). The cottages are in a park like setting. There are single and double cottages. Parking is adjacent to each cottage. US Post Office is about 50 yards from the farthest cottage. Nice view of an inlet. Open area for kids to play and even has a swing set. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and informative. Away from traffic so very calm and quiet.

Outstanding ! Clean, updated cabins. Sweet view, rolling lawns. Attentive proud owners. Lesser reviews reflect prior ownership, the Summer 2017 owner has a strong renovation finishing now. There are many lesser cabin spots on MDI. This one is your best bet. Cant wait to come back! Pricey hotels are less fun.

Great location, close to bar harbor and other points of interest. Theres a few chairs you can sit at to look at the ocean, there are fire pits you can use, and two swings. The cabins are cozy with a small kitchen.

Bay Meadow Cottages exceeded our expectations! My family spent a week at The Bay Meadow House and found everything we needed in our quaint cottage. The location is perfect for exploring both Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The hosts were informative, accommodating, and very easy to work with. We cannot wait for our return visit!

Fantastic views! The cottages provide all we needed - a place to store glfood/drink and rest our heads. Most of our stay was within Acadia National Park. We will absolutely look to stay here again when we come back.

Well-stocked, rustic and clean cottages. Delightful owner Steve, who takes care of your every need. Must do- Smores by the firepit with a cove view. BBQ on your own private patio. Close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and grocery store.We liked it so much we stayed a second night! Thanks for a great visit. 😁

We had a great 2-night stay here at Bay Meadows. The cottages were very clean and exactly as pictured. You cant beat the view!!

Booked a cottage last summer, and wouldnt recommend staying here even if it was free. We had visitors, who belong outside or in the paws of a cat. Luckily the moldy bathroom had a door, so we could corral the mice, but the mice outsmarted us, and found a way to get into the kitchen area and pooped on our belongings. In the end, we got a refund, and went to stay at the Wonderview Inn, for quite a bit cheaper. If you are staying in Bar Harbor and want an enjoyable stay, do not go to Bay Meadow Cottages. Sadly, a zero star review is not an option.

Location was good. But the cabin was nothing but a closet with running water. And was in desperate need off repairs and updating.This was only option on short notice that had availability
