The cottages were so cute! We stayed in Cottage 5. It was well equipped and very clean. Great location as well as it was a 5 minute ride or so to Acadia park entrance. The owners were also very sweet and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Cottage was perfect. Stayed #1. Close to road but it quites down in the evening. The owners are great. Recommended a beach nearby to watch the sunset. It was spectacular! All in all, a great place to stay. Will be returning!!

Super cute place. I believe we had cabin #5. It was perfect for me and my girlfriends to stay in while we hiked in acadia and visited bar harbor. It had a really small shower but it was nice and hot. The kitchen is small too but had everything we needed. This small cabin used its space well! Fit 4 of us comfortably.

I like this place. The owners are new and took it over in April I believe. They have some work to do but I think they will accomplish in making this a real great place. In the meantime of course I would recommend it.

We stayed in Cottage 5 for 2 nights, and it was very cozy! The owners are very nice, hospitable people that also accommodated our late check-in. The kitchen had pots, pans, plates, and silverware among other items so that was a huge plus. The location is also a short drive to town and Acadia National Park. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Cute cottage with all you need for a historic home base just outside Bar Harbor. Owners are wonderful and live on-site; they prioritize a personal touch in how they treat their guests.

Its exactly what I expected and it was clean. We stayed in cottage 5 and didnt use the kitchenette except for the mini fridge, the shower is small and there is no tv (if thats important to you)! Most important, clean, close to activities we wanted and didnt have a minimum night stay requirement.Covid times: check in was safe! Thank you.

Nice cottages, I currently reside next door for work. Small cottages, gas grills, seating outside, I think they might have fireplaces in the rooms. Very quaint little place. If I ever come here on vacation Ill stay there.

Convenient to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and all the area attractions. Really nice lady greets you at the family run, family friendly business.We have stayed here before. Enjoy the cabins. Have not stayed in the in lodging, so no comment on that.Cabins are small, basic modern conveniences, which is a bonus for us. We like small and basic. Well kept, clean, could use some physical upgrades to property. I could stand a bigger shower that doesnt make me feel like I was packaged and ready to be shipped, but on the other hand I got by okay.The price is right, $105 per night in the height of tourist season.Dont expect the world and you wont be disappointed. We are return customers, and we will stay there again, Im sure.

We stayed in cabin 6 and had a wonderful experience. It was even better than the pictures. We were there beginning of October and the cabin was nice and warm and clean with nice warm shower. The kitchen was very well stocked. It was a little tight with 5 of us and a two year old, but having the living area made it work fine. Beds were comfortable. Two year old loved the playground. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Bonus: we found right across the street, fresh lobster at $4.95 a pound. You pick it out, they cook it we brought it back to the cabin and had a feast. Location was great; close to town and park attractions. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Great cottage! Cottage 6 is perfect for a family of 4 and can sleep up to 6 with the futon in the main living space. Extras like hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, soap, dish soap, towels provided. Half kitchen set up still very usable to make meals to cut down on the cost of eating out all the time. Very close to Hadleys point which had the most beautiful sunsets!

With this being my first experience with a B&B, I am totally impressed. The Rooms were cozy and clean. The beds are super comfortable with high quality linens. Peter was the perfect host and went above and beyond. He even placed a towel on every motorcycle in our group to wipe off the morning dew. To top it off he left a ride pin in our room. This biker friendly establishment comes highly recommended.

My fiance and I were very pleased with our 5-night stay here in July 2016! We were able to book the queen room in the inn with private bath (#5) on the first floor with only a few weeks notice. The rates were very affordable! The room looked just like it was shown in the pictures and was very clean. The owner was friendly and helpful and was knowledgeable about the park, town, island, and bus system. A continental breakfast was provided with a slightly different selection each morning. (Danishes, bagels, muffins, juice, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, etc.) Our only complaints would have been the humidity in the room (perhaps a dehumidifier would have helped? This also could have been attributed to the weather on the island) and the bathroom could use some updating. But it was clean and functional! We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in cabin 8. Property was clean and convenient to Acadia National Park. Cost of $104 A night with tax was a fair price. Small 1 bedroom cottage with limited kitchen and plenty of hot water. Good internet and tv.

Came up to celebrate had an awesome amazing time. My cabin was so cozy clean the bed very comfortable the place was just right for what we needed. Already BOOKED our next visit. Thank you Kathy & Peter.

Nice place. Thought not expensive but an interesting experience. It was off season so no crowd but road noise was enough to wake us up at 5:30.

We stayed in #6 this year.. great cabin has hot plate, microwave, and toaster oven. Great for a family that doesnt want to eat out for every meal. Through the years we have stayed here in the past and always found the cabins to be a great place to stay. Dog friendly too... one note.. they do ask you to not leave your pet un attended ... its good for your pets and your fellow neighbors.

My husband and I have stayed at Llangolan Inn 3 years in a row, in Cottage 8. Llangolan is affordable, cozy, and only 10 minutes from downtown bar harbor and acadia. There are two lobster shacks and a winery located across the street. Llangolan Inn is a safe, friendly, comfortable, affordable, and convenient place to stay. My husband and I do not spend much time at the cabin itself, and spend more time in town and hiking. We have never been charged for additional items, as suggested in a previous post. One year we even broke some glassware at dinner and the owners were so friendly about it, provided us new glassware, and did not charge us for the replacement. The living area is smaller and you cant take long showers, but if you are vacationing to experience the island, and not your hotel room, Llangolan is a perfect fit! The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because the traffic on the roadway is loud in the morning if you have the windows open, and as previously discussed, we have to take short showers or else all the hot water is gone. We will continue to stay at Llangolan Inn.

I usually do not take time to provide reviews. However, based on the worst experience that i had with my stay at this place, I think its my responsibility to warn people out there ( after having ruined an absolute fantastic weekend.)The inn keeper and his secretary are very rude folks and they look for ways to charge you additional money by saying items were missing or things were broken. The shower does not have hot water and the area is shabby and filled with mosquitoes. The buildings and equipments are rickety - and hey ... guess who is going to be charged when it falls apart!!!!!I am sure that the great reviews provided are fake and written by the inn folks only. I would never go to this cottage again and also warn all friends who ask for any recommendation.
