We loved our stay at Bar Harbor Cottages & Suites! It was a great base camp for our adventures around Mount Desert Island. We stayed in cottage #12 with 2 couples and it was the perfect set up. Loved having the small kitchen area, dining table, and living space. We would definitely stay here again! Only interacted with the owner once and she was lovely! Highly recommend!

Great location to Acadia, super cute, and cozy cottages. we stayed in cottage 3 with 4 people. we were only sleeping there so worked fine but if we had been staying longer we would have gotten 2 cottages because you lose the sitting room with this cottage.

Our cottage was beautiful, clean and so comfortable. Loved the screened porch. Enjoyed watching a chipmunk run around the well manicured flower areas they have. Very close to town and Arcadia national Park.We have not had to drive more then 10 minutes to anything we planned. I would love to come back here!

Loved it here! Went for our honeymoon. Stayed in #9, is the cutest little cottage. Great for a couple to stay in while visiting bar harbor. Owners are very nice and helpful. We asked lots of questions on where to go for lobster and sites to see. They could answer all of them.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The owner is very kind and friendly, and the cottage was incredibly clean and cozy. I slept the best here of any place on our trip so far- it is so peaceful and felt like home. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and we loved sitting on the screened porch. I would recommend to anyone- great location close to Acadia NP too!

Booked a cottage and a suite for my family gathering of 7 people. Was I surprised when I arrived. The suite was the size of half a hotel room. The cottage was also extremly small. For the price of $450 for the night, I expected much more room. The owner was kind and accomadating. The sitting area outside was nice but no attempt to ward off mosquitos. Was embarrassed when family arrived.They made the best of a sorry situation.

Cozy, cute, clean, affordable, quiet, friendly, private and extremely reliable. The new owners are amazing and so friendly! This is hands down the best place to stay in Barr Harbor. It’s always immaculately maintained and cleaned. You can see the water from some of the units and the property isn’t crammed or crowded. We loved biking around Acadia National Park and eating local lobsters. There is a sandy beach less than 10 minutes away, an amazing golf course and tons of dining and fun shops. It books up fast so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time and check for availability.

Super cute, clean and quiet! Owners are extremely accomodating. Wonderful style in our cottage but most important in these times is CLEAN! Location is superb, set back from road across from ocean and next to but not in middle of all the fun Harbor Maine activities. WE WILL BE COMING BACK FO SHO! Highly recommend!

Unfortunately our booking in May was cancelled due to Covid 19.Bar Harbor agreed to give us a refund but failed to deliver.We are still waiting 5 months later and they do not reply to our emails.VERY DISAPPOINTING, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, they do not deserve the 1 star ☹️☹️

My husband and I stayed at the Bar Harbor Cottage & Suites this past week. Laura, who is one of the nicest people you could meet, greeted us when we checked in and recommended places to see, Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordon Pond, etc. These were all must sees and totally enjoyed.Cottage #8 has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It was clean and very comfortable. We found it nice and quiet and enjoyed the screened in porch.We will stay there again on the next trip to Bar Harbor.Thank you Laura and staff for a nice place to stay.

My family stayed here and enjoyed it. The owners went above and beyond to make our trip more enjoyable. Very close to Acadia so that we could maximize our time in the park.

I travel to Maine every year for vacation and now for work. I was very pleased with my stay, the staff was friendly and the owner who seemed to be be constantly working to improve our stay while there even went as far as to get get a fire going and bring us logs to burn. I felt at home the entire time and will definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed in one of the smaller cottages for three nights during our time in Bar Harbor. The staff at check-in were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She highlighted some fun hikes in Acadia and other fun activities in the area. The cottage itself was exactly as advertised, clean, organized and comfy. The grounds were well kept and we had everything we needed in our little cottage. We really enjoyed use of the bus system since it was just a very short walk from the cottages. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay there again.

Its the best! If it’s available then book it. Don’t be dumb.

I have been there for one night with my husband and my in-laws. It was a perfect location very quiet.The cottage had the perfect size for 2 couples. We enjoyed a breakfast outside which was nice.I liked the attention as we arrived late in the evening, with all the recomendations we needed for the activities around.I would go again on my next trip in the area.

If your looking for luxury, then dont stay here. If your looking for a quiet laid back sort of place then this is it. My husband and I stayed in cottage #6. It was a perfect place for us. Loved it!

The cottage was excellent and the person at the office was exceptionally helpful. She knew many fantastic hikes in the park. We are very pleased with our stay.

2nd time staying here, absolutely love this place! The cottages are cute and have what youll need for your stay. Both town and Acadia National Park are just a short drive. Staff is so friendly and Laura is a great guide for things to do or places to hike on the island.

Spent a week here and loved the small rustic cottages. Great staff and only minutes away from the sights.

Was a place to stay. Marked on air bnb as being in bar harbor, was several miles away. Dated decor.

Expensive for what they are. The pictures of the cabins look good but are probably 20 years out dated. Half inch gap under the entrance door and I fought with the entrance lock until I felt like kicking down the door. Wont stay there again.

Wow...Google sure jumped the gun on prompting this review based on location history. My family and I are only on our SECOND NIGHT here (of a week long stay)!! This morning, we discovered our hot water in the shower didnt work. Now, this isnt close to the ideal way to start a vacation, BUT... My wife brought it to the attention of Laura, the resident manager, and Laura promptly investigated the issue, found the problem, fixed it as best she could, made arrangements for a plumber to come out as soon as possible, and credited back to us a percentage of our first nights rate! Absolutely efficient and kind service! Hey, things happen. Stuff breaks or gets glitchy. Its how the business deals with it that matters, and were very pleased with them so far!

My family loved our stay here. The cottages are great and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
