Million Air Mechanical, where do I start? They sent the bookkeeper on their first visit to repair my AC. He spent a few minutes looking at it before telling me he didn’t know what was wrong. He wrote me an invoice for a labor charge for his time to tell me what I already knew – it wasn’t working. We were talking about it while he was writing it out and he suggested that I replace my thermostat to see if that was the issue. Since he was already charging me for his time, I asked him to install a new thermostat to at least get myself something out of the transaction. Which he did, I will give him that. Granted, he left several large, very obvious holes in my wall in the process… turns out the thermostat wasn’t the issue.I got back in touch with MAM to tell them it wasn’t still working. They told me they would not waste their time coming back until I had my ducts cleaned. So, I did that through another company. As well as having my furnace and AC deep-cleaned….And none of that turned out to be the issue.Long story short, I had three techs from their company out here on three different trips. After sending me on what ended up being basically exploratory surgery on my HVAC system that has set me back a total of just shy of $1,000, completely bailing on their fourth appointment, and SO MUCH wasted time with these people, I ended up hiring another local company who diagnosed the problem in about 20 mins.I asked for a refund of $100 from MAM and they told me no because I don’t live close enough to their office.TL;DR – these people are shady AF and have no business being in business. AVOID!

The guys at Million Air Mechanical are wonderful. I got up Wednesday morning and my house was freezing. The temp was 53 degrees. I called them at 8:30 and they had a service tech (John) at my house by 10:30. He proceeded to check out my furnance and everything seemed to be good. He ran up and down the stairs turning it on at the thermostat and off at the furnace. He finally figured out that the problem was definitely at the thermostat. He first thought I might need a new one but noticed a wire that seemed very frayed. He then striped the wire, put it back in it’s place and it worked like new. I guess the wire was telling the furnace to shut off. I had prepared myself to purchase a new furnace but was so happy when that wasn’t the case. Thank you so much Million Air Mechanical!!!!!!!

They bailed on the scheduled appointment at the last minute and said they dont have the manpower to help. After a day of reaching out I finally spoke with someone again and all they said is that they just dont have the manpower to help.

Issues started with the scheduled service being delayed then ultimately rescheduled because your tech was stuck on a different job. When the tech arrived on the new scheduled date, he proceeded to complete his checks of the first system and informed me that it was overcharged with refrigerant and that he would need to recover some. He went to his van to get the recovery unit and, after messing with it for more than an hour, informed me that it was not working. He said he’d run to the shop and pick up another one and come back. He was gone for nearly 2 hours. When he returned, he was still unable to make it (same unit? different one?) work. He said he’d try to come back that evening at 5 or 6 and try again. I sent the business owner a text and then had several phone conversations with the shop manager, ultimately agreeing that the tech would come back the next morning at 10am after purchasing a new recovery unit. When the tech did return, he claimed that now the unit was UNDERcharged with refrigerant! After more than another hour passed with him seemingly randomly adjusting his measurement equipment, he stated that the system was operating abnormally, with materially fluctuating subcooling. He then went to the other AC unit and claimed that it had the same issue. He attributed the operating behavior to a contaminant (likely air) in the refrigerant systems and recommended that he needed to evacuate both systems and recharge them with fresh refrigerant. At this point I was not about to proceed without a detailed cost estimate and proposal in writing. The tech told me that he would go ahead and write up the system check results and then send me a written proposal for the repair that night via email. He wanted to close-out the system check invoice and have me pay. I reminded him that he had not yet cleaned the condenser coils, so he did that, then wrote everything up and left. He never did send me a proposal or cost estimate for the work he recommended.Since I had a very high level of discomfort with the techs apparent lack of expertise, I hired another company to check the systems and give me a second opinion, specifically about the refrigerant levels and operating behavior. They found both systems to be operating completely normally. No adjustments to the refrigerant levels were needed.Obviously, I was extremely disappointed with the poor service provided by Million Air Mechanical. I don’t know if it is just the one tech or if there is a more systematic problem with the competency of their technicians, but at this point it does not matter as I have found a different company that sent two COMPETENT technicians to come check out the systems.I communicated my dissatisfaction with the business managers and to their credit they did respond. They refused to reduce the service charges even though I was not satisfied with the work performed.

My last small repair took 5 months w/ this company and instead of MAM fixing it themselves they hired out a new company to take over my job who fixed it in days and they then billed me full price. Go elsewhere.
