MY name is Jo Ellen Woodrow. I am sing the office computer for access but I wanted to write a review here I have lived here 12 years. I love the staff and excellent care provided. When I have questions, office staff is most helpful. Lavanda has been here the longest and she is personable and excellent at what she does. Mathew in maintenance is the newest member of staff and I mention him because he does his job no matter what it is with a smile on his face. He is dependable. Also, Terry in maintenance has worked in my apartment over the years and always gets the job done. I mention these folks as often , it is so easy to take for granted those behind the scenes who make a place work. I recommend Autumn Chase for those looking for a new home.

Nice place, its central location and proximity to bus lines on Mill plain make it a convenience for anyone who does not driving like students or the elderly. The pool and clubhouse are nice amenities if he choose to take advantage of them theres also a barbecue area community TV with cable computer lab tanning bed and basketball court inside the clubhouse the most dont use. Theres an area for dogs to run around in and go to the bathroom and a small childrens park located on the East end of the property the staff other than La Fonda are sort of rude but manageable

My move-in experience has been pretty good so far. Just some minor things that can be fixed in the near future. Refrigerator and freezer door are not closing properly. Washing machine makes loud clunking noise while running. Im sure the neighbors downstairs would not appreciate. Its a beautiful property, Park like settings many trees, lots of shades. Lavonda the manager was very nice and pleasant to work with. Hopefully all the amenities will be open for you soon. Just a little bummed that we cant use what were paying for. I understand that is due to no fault of their own. Five star for sure when everything reopens.

I made a huge mistake and I would not recommend this place unless there is no other option :(The manager Cody at Autumn chase is horrible... I had been dealing with their leasing agent Kellie, and she is very good. Online, the place looks good in terms of location and amenities. But, you have to deal with a very incompetent and unreasonable management.I was offered and I had signed a lease with them before moving to Vancouver. Two days before my move-in on road to Vancouver, I get a call saying that they cant move me into my apartment due to a flee infestation. I understand that things happen, but they should have found a solution to compensate since they could not fulfil their commitment. On contrary, they were offering me a small unit for almost the same price with no concession on a 6 month lease. I had to find a hotel (expensive to stay in a hotel in Vancouver) to stay for almost 10 days while other options are getting ready. Then, they promise to waive my carport (yes, it is mandatory to pay for carport even if you do not want) due to all the hiccup and extra expense out of my pocket. But, they did not fulfil that commitment because I decided to move into a different apartment than the one they had committed. On move in day, I do not receive set of keys which was on my lease. I had to make so many requests to fix a lot of things. I had to get in touch multiple times for that. The gym and pool area are only accessible during their office hours, since the keys to the rec is still in process to be distributed. The apartment itself was decent. Not much complains about it.The two stars primarily are for the location (easy to drive/walk to many markets nearby and to connect to the interstate to drive to Portland), decent apartment and a reasonable leasing agent (Kellie). The points were deducted because of the horrible and uncourteous manager that I had to deal with, very bad move-in experience, very unprofessionally designed carport spaces (good luck getting in your car unless you hit the car next to you).

This place is in a great location and they look very nice and the grounds are kept pretty well. The office stuff is very nice but also disorganized. I had to give my notice multiple times in different formats and they still were unaware I was moving out when I went to return my keys. The maintenance stuff is a joke. I had them come in three times to fix my dish washer that hadn’t work since my 2nd month there and they never fixed it. Parking is expensive to say the lease and is a Major nightmare if you don’t pay for it. My microwave (that comes with the apartments) would often blow my breaker. The pet deposits and rent are very expensive. All of their amenities are closed due to covid and have been since I moved in and they never offered to reduce rent for it or set up a way for them to be usable like a lot of other apartments. Over all this was a great first apartment but very expensive and the maintenance Manager was terrible.

Had issues with getting maintenance to fix things. Would give permission to enter but came home to a note on the door from maintenance saying no one home and no permission to enter. When things did get fixed they fixed with super glue and had it break soon after. Also had an issue with black mold even notified the main office and nothing was done. We kept cleaning the bathroom over and over again and leaving the fan on almost always even went as far as taking a towel or rag to dry off the shower/tub area and mold still came back.

The move to Autumn Chase has been an amazing experience!! Every person in the leasing office I dealt with was extremely professional and helpful! This was a sight unseen arrangement as we moved from the East Coast, Kim went above and beyond all expectations in helping facilitate the start of the lease. She, along with everyone in the office made everything effortless which really helped me as I have not rented for many years and I’ll admit I was nervous about the process but again, everyone did so much to make it as flawless as possible!

I don’t recommend these apartments. Very unprofessional. We gave 300 deposit to hold an apartment to the employer by the name of LaVanda. We were informed by her false information on how the holding process would go. She told us since we just moved from California, she would give us a week to shop around at other apartments. If we would find another one we liked we could just come pick up the deposit but the best thing would be to hold it just in case we didn’t find anything elsewhere we wouldn’t miss out on this one. We trusted her and thought she was so sweet to help us out since we were new to the state. When my husband handed the money order to her, he let her know he didn’t know what name to write on it. She said “don’t worry I’ll fill it out”. To make a long story short we have been fighting to get our deposit back. Unfortunately due to not filling out an application there’s no record to ever having a hold on an apartment. That was something LaVanda didn’t mention, that we needed to place an application to hold the apartment. She sure did take the deposit without one. As we trusted her to write the name on the deposit, unfortunately she didn’t write the apartments name, which means there’s no record of it. Without no record or application the managers say they can’t do anything about it. They have cameras inside and out. They have to have a recording of my husband handing over the deposit, unfortunately managers don’t want to check cameras. Only God knows what LaVanda did with that money order. All we know it was cashed on July 3rd. We feel like this is something the managers are sweeping under the rug. When they should be investigating the employer that accepted a deposit without an application. We hate to think that LaVanda was the one that cashed our deposit for herself, but unfortunately there isn’t much more to go by. I sure wouldn’t want an employer like that to represent my business. If these are the apartments you decide to go with make sure someone else other than LaVanda to help you with your application. It’s unfortunate that we spend so much money to move out to WA and the money we had saved up for our apartment was easily taken from us. We accept that we are at fault too for not asking her to write the name in front of us, but instead my husband handed her a blank money order, where she was able to write anyone’s name but the apartments.

My experience was awful. Management only cares paperwork to be done and doesnt care to prepare your apartment for move-in day. In my case Ive got a key from the apartment that was not cleaned after construction. If you expect a welcome home box in your kitchen table top... sorry, youll get stones in garbage disposer and construction dust everywhere including toilet and bathtub.Next day my car got keyed on the carport, which is definitely not a management fault, but still.Had to move-out after a week been there. Here I must say thank you to the Autumn Chase, which did not complicate our move-out with breakup fee. I did pay a clean up fee, though (funny, given the fact of the condition of my appt during move-in)

My fiance and I went to their website to book a tour and find the application, which did not work. All we got were blank emails and no responses. We decided to drive there unannounced for a tour in person since they were not being responsive, the first thing they did when we came in was roll their eyes at us and give us dirty looks before we could even say anything. We were both dressed professionally, having come from our places of work, but they looked at us as if we were vagrants. When we approached the desk, the woman who worked there was very rude, rushed us through the information process and gave us a lackluster tour. They told us one price, and immediately raised it once we were gone, within minutes. The area is pretty because of the trees, but it is right next to two motels, one of the buildings is burnt down, there was hard to find parking, and the staff were very rude. Overall, this was a bad experience.

The maintenance guys are all super cool and very helpful. They usually get maintenance requests done quickly and efficiently. If they have to order a part or there is a delay they are open about it. Our toilet fixture was broken in our apartment and Terry the maintenance guy fixed it in like 30 seconds once out maintenance request was processed. The office staff is great too! This is a excellent place to live. Staff is professional & very friendly, grounds are well maintained, neighborhood is safe. This was by far the best place I’ve lived in Vancouver. My maintenance issues were always handled quickly and by very friendly maintenance staff as well. It’s close to everything you need: Fred Meyer, Safeway, movie theater, shopping, gas, it’s all within a half mile. I’ve lived in a number of apartments, and this was by far the best place I’ve ever lived. I highly recommend Autumn Chase.

I feel that the management at this apartment complex are a scam artists. Note: If you feel that you really need to get into an apartment, Id suggest looking somewhere else. For starters: The pool through out the summer is usually closed and is very disgusting, any time you need to do any maintenance requests, you will be waiting a while, they will threaten you immediately if you have any noise complaints with no proof of any accusations. Note: I did not know to do a walk through after turning in my key in they said you are all good, thats it, have a good day. They then decided to bill me for a paint job when the paint in the first place had different colors on the walls from even before I had moved in and on top of that they added a charge for a carpet cleaning.Good luck to a potential apartment renter.

Hot tub always down(broken) more then it’s open, the pool fence is not locked(broken) has been since I’ve moved in and they are very aware of it and tell you everything you wanna hear and yet to this day still broke and out side people get in all the time in the summer , indoor basketball gym is in need of updating and repairs (bad) you’re a basketball player you’ll see it right away when you walk in there . sauna hadn’t been open or worked the last two years , the tanning bed is junk and of course is out of order , they say there’s dog restrictions on weight and size and type and I personally know 4 neighbors that have pitbulls and well over 100 pounds . The apartment homes look very nice in pictures and some during walk through then once you move in you will find all the cover ups done and electrical issues to water issues and remember what they say is NOT what they do. It’s all about getting you to sign on for a year and they got ya .. if your looking somewhere that has all the amenities and want them all to work not the place for you I think this place could have so much damn potential but it’s the people running it whether the management company or whoever only does just enough so the blind walking in the front door sign onto year .

I have lived in the Autumn Chase apartments since 2016, and I’ve had nothing but problems with maintenance. I was excited to move into this complex because the grounds are so beautiful with all of the trees, and the complex is in a great location. I really like my apartment, having said that maintenance takes forever! It took two weeks to get a lightbulb changed outside in the public area, it was very dark, I had to use my cell phone to see. It took seven months to get a response about a microwave that needed to be replaced. I finally had to call the corporate office. They send out young people who are not experienced to deal with the issues. When the issues are “fixed“ the workmanship is bad. I leave messages with the office staff and don’t get calls back. The office staff is friendly and I don’t believe this is their problem, although they could return phone calls. I think this is a corporate problem! The parking spaces are so narrow that I have scraped the side of my car as have many of my neighbors! Absolutely ridiculous! I could go on and on... I would not recommend Autumn Chase apartments.

Unprofessional and untimely. The maintenance crew is incredibly slow and unprofessional. My first maintenance request was for my bathroom door that had literally fallen out of the framework. The holes for the screws had become too large and would not hold the door up any longer. The maintenance crew just put the door back up and now it hangs halfway out of the frame. The maintenance team took 3 weeks to fulfill another request I had made. I had to make numerous requests to have my dishwasher drain line unclogged. The maintenance crew did not believe the drain line was clogged and took away my brand new dishwasher that came with my unit and replaced it with a half functioning old dishwasher that they had in storage. I had to call maintenance back in because the dishwasher was still flooding. They eventually found the clog that I had said was there. I never received my original dishwasher back and the maintenance team never properly installed the replacement dishwasher. Upon use of the replacement dishwasher, it would rattle and try to shake out of the place in the counter that the dishwasher belonged in.Upon moving out, I had scheduled a final walkthrough via e-mail with the apartment manager, Caren Hill. The walk through was scheduled on a holiday as suggested by Caren due to maintenance not being available on Sundays. Caren scheduled my final walk through on 05/28/18 at 4pm. I arrived to Autumn Chase for my final walk through at 3:40pm. I was told by the other staff members that they could absolutely not do a final walk through because Caren had told them that they could leave at 4pm. I told them that Caren is the one who had scheduled this for me and the staff did not care at all. They told me that I could come back another day. I do not have an accommodating schedule to just show up whenever the staff at Autumn Chase wants me to. I had to do a final walk through by myself and take photos as evidence of how I left the apartment complex.I do not recommend living at Autumn Chase.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for about 8 months and its been a lot of trouble. Rent is way to expensive and they get you on everything you can possibly think of. Everyone has a carport but you have to pay for it. Our utilities for a one bed one bath is almost 100 dollars a month. Finding a place to park between the hours of 3pm-8am is impossible and even when you do its on the opposite side of the complex . there are people who live in the building next to us who always have visitors and they are selling and buying drugs and having parties and they park in our spot all the time, and when you call for a tow truck they take 3 hours to get there because maintenance takes their sweet time calling; so after a 12 hour work day you get to wait 3 hours so that when they get there your car doesnt get towed also. When we first moved in the washer and dryer tore our clothes apart so I had to buy all new clothes. it took them almost 2 months to get us new washer and dryers. our dishwasher was plugged and it took them 5 months to finally come and fix it. There are ants everywhere, we had to get ant traps and they still keep coming out of nowhere. Poor rule enforcement, the walls are thin so you hear everything. If you accidentally miss your rent by a couple bucks they will still charge you the 75 dollar late fee. We cant wait to get out of here.

I’ve only been here 9 months but, so far, all questions I’ve had have been answered quickly and maintenance performed very readily. I love the maintenance dudes - super friendly. The only reason this place received a 4 instead of a 5 is because I’m the listing they said something to the effect of “pay water and trash with rent” which I read as “water and trash included with rent”. It’s not. It’s separate on top of a parking space that they assign to you and make you pay for, which is not included in rent price. So whatever the rent is, expect another $25 for parking and about $40-$70 depending on energy usage.

I loved there for 9 months. Its a very quiet atmosphere the grounds are kept very clean. When I moved into the apartment the apartment was filthy the floor in the living room was sinking I literally told them and brought them in to look for them selves. I couldnt use my 18th century Hutch because the floors were sinking so bad. When I moved in at the front door I had screws sticking up out of the floor a good inch. Management was okay with it. The trying to get any maintenance done didnt happen. I just could not live there any longer the price is extremely high and everything there is a fee. Parking is terrible you have to pay for one undercover parking spot (not an option). Any other parking. youre on your own. they do not have enough parking for the amount of Apartments they have. I would walk out my front door go down my stairs and there was such a big puddle at the bottom of the stairs I couldnt get around it I literally had to go straight through it and it was over ankle-deep. I talked to them about it because I fell one day on my way to work and I work in a very professional atmosphere so I wasnt wearing jeans. I told them about it they told me that they could put a piece of wood over it, are you serious. My experience living at Autumn Chase was the worst experience Ive ever had. I felt like I was taking advantage of. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I would not recommend Autumn Chase. do not sign a lease there. just below you can see how the front door area had mold all around the door area you can see the floors which is gross. Lived here for 5 years and recently moved out due to purchasing our first home. First 1-2 years was great. After that, it kind of went downhill from there. Parking is too overcrowded, like others have mentioned, if you have more than 1 vehicle in your household, GOODLUCK finding parking! Cars are often left unattended for many weeks and when shared with the office, they fail to do anything about it. The POOL has been open for a limited time for the past several years. Our family enjoys going to the pool but for the past several years, it seems they are not opening on time for summer and have closed during random times of the summer...There has been many more pet owners leaving behind their pets feces, without picking it up. The trash areas are ALWAYS FULL, its terrible and smells. The new paint on all the apartments look nice but the cosmetic solution is not going to fix the underlying issues of management and overcrowded parking. OH, and you should know that each summer, expect to pay some sort of resort fee for usage of the pool. We were not made aware of this during our move-in and although we use the pool often, there has been years where we did not use it but still had to pay for it, each month!

Took a month to fix a dishwasher issue. Since it was a clogged hose, the smell of whatever was stuck in the hose and stagnant water stunk up the place to the point it would give you a headache and we had to open the windows for about a month. On top of this we have pets which means we had to be in the unit whenever they worked on it (their rules not ours) which ended up costing us around $800 in lost wages for them to fix it. They never replaced the new dishwasher which sucked because were paying for a renovated unit with new appliances right? So we left and found out its $2000 to break the lease plus rent so $3000+ to leave early! Thats expensive. We asked them if there was anything they could do considering the money we lost babysitting their maintenance crew but they werent interested in helping in the slightest. Dumpsters are constantly overflowing and there are people going through the trash at night for cans I think? I hope? It would suck if they were trying to get peoples mail and stuff. Anyways, this place spends a lot of money making the outside look nice but they dont value you as a tenant. All they want is your money. Those places are a dime a dozen.

This hell hole doesnt even deserve one star. Ive lived here for almost 2 years and has been a nightmare. It looks like a great place when you first arrive but dont let that fool you. Everything in the apartment is super cheap and breaks very easily. Within the first week of being here one of the cabinets broke and the handles started coming off. Within two months the carpets starting coming up when I was vacuuming. There is not enough parking. People will park in your spot and there is no one to call to tow them out if it is after hours. If you park on the side you get a ticket or a warning and possibly towed in the morning. The staff sucks. I have only met one sincere nice staff since living here. They only care about their money and could care less about making your stay here pleasant. They overcharge for these cheap ass apartments. You also live next to sketchy motels that have druggies. several months ago we had the swat shut down the whole apartment because of an armed and dangerous person. The good: they allow pretty much any size dog (They say breed restrictions apply, but the majority of dogs in the complex are pitbulls). And that concludes the good. The bad: parking is atrocious if you have more than 1 car in your household. If you arent home from work by 6 oclock, dont expect there to be parking within the complex grounds. Maintenance staff doesnt adhere to the time restraints given to them when you fill out a maintenance request form. The ugly: The office staff is horrible at doing their jobs. We were given a move-in date but they failed to finalize their end of paperwork so after driving from Boise-Van on move in day, I then had to drive to Tacoma to stay with family because they wouldnt comp me a room at any of the local hotels even though it was entirely their error. Now that were trying to move out, they have failed to cooperate with our new apartment complex, causing our move in date to be pushed back a week, leaving us homeless for 2 weeks because of simple office work. The long and short of it: If you like being jerked around and being the victim of their little power trip, this is the place for you. But there are so many other places in the area, especially if you have a small dog or no dog that will treat you so much better. Hard avoid.

By far the WORST apartment experience Ive ever had (and Ive lived in several apartments). Absolutely do not live here unless you have to! First off, there is zero communication between the complex and tenants; you will never hear from the front desk unless you keep pestering them about a problem. Maintenance requests are essentially useless. The only real way things get fixed is if you literally walk with a worker to your apartment. My dishwasher was broken for two months and I had no hot water for over one week, despite me constantly asking them.In addition, your move-out charges will be off the charts ridiculous. I lived in a studio apartment with a service animal (who did nothing to the apartment), and I got a bill for nearly $1,000 dollars! Ive seen a few other reviews noting similar things, so this is definitely a pattern. You better be saving your money if you ever plan to move out. I got no explanation or anything despite constant requests. I called and emailed, and nobody ever picks up the phone! I finally got in touch with the regional manager, Allison, and the Vice President, Nichole, and they were just as useless as the apartment complex manager, Carlos. Carlos is always on vacation and Allison and Nichole dont seem to care about any of the tenants. The lack of professionalism, communication, and respect is outrageous! I rarely write reviews, so this shows you just how poorly run this place is.On a lighter note, the speed bumps are ginormous and the parking is non-existent. If you get to the complex after 4:30pm, youll have to park a good half-mile away, likely on the street in front of nearby hotels. Ive seen a few bikes get stolen off porches, so definitely lock up your stuff. Also, the pool is never open, so dont plan on being able to use that. However, if you pay for a parking spot, never move out, and never have anything go wrong with your apartment, you might not hate living here. The front desk staff (not the managers) and maintenance crew are always pleasant. Hope this helps :)

Theres a unit full of convicted felons that get arrested all the time. Some of them have been on the news!!! They use their unit as a drug spot. Drug dealers and drug addicts should be trespassed off the property asap and evicted. Gangs usually carry weapons. Management is very professional and helpful but, theyre slacking when it comes to evicting people violating the lease. People with several felonies shouldnt live on the property. People who have several people living in a unit without being on the lease needs to be evicted. Its a beautiful complex.

Been living here for 5 months, and realized we made a mistake 2 weeks in. Our apartment was surface remodeled, but has SO many problems! Less than a month in we realized that we had a toilet that would continuously flush, a bathtub that wont drain even after using Draino, a sink that plugs up (with other apartments sink water, according to maintenance which is disgusting), and our dishwasher latch works when it wants to so we cant even do dishes at times. Its currently broken and has been for almost 3 days and still no one has come out to fix it. To make it worse, we pay $1325 a month not including utilities and this is what we get! The parking is atrocious as well. I regularly have to park 2 football fields away because theres never any guest spots after 4 pm. Do yourself a BIG BIG favor and avoid this complex. Im not exaggerating any of this. Ive had to call maintenance for like 7 different issues in 5 months. Lastly, our upstairs neighbors are abusive and the guy hits his wife and management wont do anything about it. Go elsewhere!

I am giving 5 Stars to my review because I love the setting here so much. I also really like the lovely staff who is doing their best despite being under staffed at times. I was impressed by LaVanda Banks the Leasing Manager. She is warm and so helpful. I also found Karen to be so helpful on my moving day. There were some issues on my moving day. The apartment I was renting was not cleaned. The office got Teri to vacumn the apartment and clean one of the bathrooms. This way I was able to move in on schedule. The next morning a house cleaner arrived and cleaned the rest of the apartment. I like the setting in the trees here at Autumn Chase. I am in a back corner where I can look out onto the trees and hear birds throughout the day. I don’t hear traffic from the road. The neighbors are mostly quiet and respectful of others. I also find people to be very friendly in this town. There are a few things that need to be repaired at my apartment but I’m confident that it will get done soon.Thank you,Kris from California

Parking at this community is atrocious. You are not assinged a parking spot if you reside in a studio and uncovered parking is extremely scarce. Too many times I had to park outside the community boundaries, resulting in cross campus walks regularly after dark. This wouldnt be so bad if they repaired broken lamp posts. The office hours are sporadic at best. For working professionals, the lunch hour is the only time to run errands, but it seems Autumn Chase feels the same way and they leave the office mid day. Theyre lunch hour doesnt occur consistently so you never know of theyll be open.Lastly, its impossible to receive a return phone call if you leave a message after hours. Their response time is laughable. Good luck contacting someone if youre having issues with the online payment portal and your rent is due.The only saving grace for this property is the location.

For the amount of homes in this community Autumn Chase has done an excellent job at trying to please everyone. They have been short handed for quite some time and the team members who have stuck around continue to smile and aim to make us happy. Customer service is no easy job and they always manage to stay calm and respectful for each issue at hand. The grounds are always kept clean and debris free. The pool and hot tub area throughout the summer was a huge hit for everyone. It is a bummer that the hot tub has been down since the end of summer. They are really good about fixing any maintenance orders within 48 hours and they are pretty strict about the clutter on your porch/balcony. Which I really like because otherwise people can really store some unsightly things outside. All in all I really love living here.

I really dont understand why people are giving these apartments such bad ratings! I have been here for 6 months now and have never had a single problem. My apartment is beautiful, the rent is a great price for an upgraded unit, none of my neighbors in my building or surrounding buildings are ever obnoxious (seriously), the staff is always friendly and helpful. I mean.. its an apartment, of course youre going to hear your neighbors sometimes, you share walls! Of course utilities are going to be separate, the majority of all other apartment complexes bill them separately too. Overall, this really is a great place to live and Im glad I chose this complex over others in the area!

The neighbors and parking of course are not the best, but what do you expect some peolpp just dont care about anything. But I would recommend this place to friends. The only big problem I had with the apartments was that they split the sewer bill between the 8 smaller complex you live in. I felt like I paid to much toward the sewer bill for not being home so much. It was not fair that my down stairs neighbors and behind us neighbors didnt work. But other than that its a pretty nice spot to live at. Its close to everything. Driving or walking distance.

Let me just start by saying that if I could give them 0 stars I would. We lived here for 2 years and the first year it was okay, rent was affordable and parking wasn’t so terrible. The property looks really nice but it’s also really sketchy, we’re right next to the hotels off mill plain and there’s always people wondering into the property. You can hear the bums going through the recycling bins in the middle of the night. There is up to almost 5 people living in a 2 bedroom and they never seem to notice. The office staff is friendly but I never see them out of their desks unless they are driving around showing a unit. The maintenance takes forever to do a work order, right before moving out we had a roof leak and they just came and patched up the cealing and never came back to paint over it. Not to mention as soon as the rain started again it began to leak again cause they didn’t actually take care of the roof. The windows weren’t working properly and the cold air would come in, my husband went to talk to them and they never came to fix it. The parking is terrible, I payed for my spot because I have two small kids but my husband would take almost 30 minuets trying to find a spot some afternoons. Let’s not talk about the rent raise once you have to renew, we ended doing cause I was pregnant and we couldn’t move with the baby being so close to arriving. By the time we moved out we were paying almost 1500 in rent for a cheap apartment where everything would break and maintenance never fixed anything. Just RUN far from this place. It’s not worth it.

A systemic review of these apartments with no bias, but an honest opinion.Unit Quality and Price:For the size and quality of these units, this apartment complex is far too expensive. The exterior grounds are for the most part left... er... natural. The interior of the units proves mostly comfortable, but not the quality that as a renter (and maintenance tech), I want in an apartment at that price.Maintenance:So I’ve had a few issues with maintenance at these apartments. As I mentioned previously, I am a maintenance tech, so I’m a bit more critical on this than your average joe. I have seen, and encountered having to call maintenance multiple times to have an issue fixed. After the initial notification, it can take up to two weeks and sometimes (rarely) longer before maintenance shows up. At which point, I have yet to see a repair made that is worthy of even being called a repair. The units themselves after what is usually called ‘unit turnover’ (updating/repairs/remodels between leases) don’t really appear... updated or properly repaired but they are better than just livable. I’m going to assume that management might just time crunch maintenance too hard and they can’t get anything done right.Parking:The Parking lot itself was terribly designed to begin with. My car is considered a compact and has trouble fitting into many of the parking spots around the complex. Above and beyond this, the parking was more designed around letting trees and paths stay where they are as opposed to creating a functionally sensible parking situation. Good luck finding a good spot, or any spot, for that matter, after about 5:30~6:00 pm.

I wanted to give a more updated review so after about seven months here’s my opinion:The good-It’s a pretty complex, they just repainted it and the apartments depending on which floor plan you get are pretty spacious. They have updated appliances and the fake hard wood is still a nice color. The apartment I live in is great because it’s very quiet even though we are by the street. The other tenants are all nice and are never too loud. When we have a maintenance request they are usually quick to respond but can’t always fix the issue until weeks or months later. The bad-Well first we were given the wrong move in date and had to find some place to keep our stuff and stay for a couple nights which was so so frustrating. We ended up having to go with a different apartment because ours was being renevated for so long. The tile in our bathroom in the shower is broken and all wonky, there’s this very large random pink spot in our closet and we’re not sure what it is. Super weird. Our fridge has been malfuncioning, it freezes our vegetables even tho we turned it down to the lowest setting. Our washer keeps leaking water everywhere and our toilet broke not even a week into moving into the room. They even tried to make us pay for it when it was broken because someone flushed a door handle down. At first they were like no you HAVE to pay and then after I stood my ground and said he’ll no they were like okay we’ll replace it??? That thing would have cost us 150$ or so and it seemed like they were just testing to see if they could get us to pay even when in their contract it says we have to have a toilet. It didn’t even get fixed until like two weeks so we had to keep asking our roommates to use theirs. The parking is really bad to, if you don’t get there by 4pm all the spots are taken we’ve had to park outside of the complex many times. They even make you pay to have a car port.Final thought, I mean it’s not a terrible place to live. I really like our two bedroom apartment layout because it’s spacious but there are a lot of inconvenient things that have happened. I would recommend really taking the time to look around and find the best option for your price range. I can’t speak for the other floor plans but you can find cheaper places just as nice. Also make sure you are firm with the staff so they don’t push you around.

I currently live here and this is honestly the worst apartment complex I have lived in. The apartments are cheaply renovated. The office workers couldnt care about your issues. There are abandoned cars and cats all over the place. They expect a newsletter will communicate all information to the renters of their apartments. People that use the gym do not wipe down the equipment after using because there arent any signs saying to do so. They have the pool closed until later this month, and there arent signs saying that state pool is closed. My advice, save your money and move somewhere else.

The apartment it self was ok, however the parking was by far the worst ever and I was in the military and I have lived in a several of apartments, If you get home after 4pm or 6pm the latest you will NOT have a parking space, and if you pay your rent for a studio apartment you dont have an assigned parking space like everyone else which is sad for the price youre paying, plus the parking spaces are very small so please dont have a nice car. Major issue is when you get home late and cant find a parking space where you live and where are you supposed to put your car? Yeah I asked the Management that question too and I the answer I got was Yes we understand, this place is a joke because when I asked Caren the Asst. Mgt about a Yukon that had been disabled and parked in the same parking space since this past summer, she said she new about it and would have it moved, that SUV was still there two weeks later and on the day I moved also, so Management doesnt care, I think they know who that SUV belongs to and refused to have it moved. My car was towed when I parked in a loading area, the area is not indicated for loading and there is no sign either, all the tenants in that area park there after hours when there is no place to park, again tell me where can I park my car when I get home after 9pm on a late night and I swear there is NO place to park except in the red fire lane, off site, where the homeless people live or in the hotel parking lot which is also a no, no, anyway I would not recommend anyone move here please do your research there are other places, better in the area and Autmn Chase is not the cheapest either. I wish I would have done a better job researching. Funny I knew someone who lived here and they told me the place was Ghetto and I thought they were wrong until 3 months in and I saw what they were talking about. I should have known when I went to sign my lease and the young African American man Jawuan who works there made four mistakes on my lease, this is a legal document right? Yeah he messed it up 4 times and by the final time he couldnt make anymore corrections on the lease he had to just do an addendum no lie I swear!!!!! I have the copy of my lease and he still had the wrong cars that were not even listed on my lease and I had to have the Manager change it, Even further my lease was up on 12/31 and the new young lady that works there put a note on my door on 11/29 informing me that if I renewed my lease I would now be paying over 1K for a studio and with no assigned parking, where they do that at? Really I swear dont move here, so she left this note supposedly the day before she thought my lease was to expire on 11/29 for the next day 11/30, who leaves that kind of note the day before my lease expires, however I had to call and let her know that my lease actually ended on 12/31, so where did she get that info......lol, really you have to laugh at the level of incompetence of this place man, I have never seen anything like it, you have these people working on legal binding documents that can be held against you in a court of law, and they cookie cutter they lease use with other people name on your lease...wow! They put some cheap paint on the place and upd the rent, they half painted the walk way in front of my door, the paint is mis-matched and they never painted my balcony after restoring some of the slats...….. I tell you, after I had planned on moving I went to look at other apartments in the area and I am telling you there are certainly better apartments out there, some cheaper some maybe $50-$75 more but you get more space and a parking spot, so do yourself a favor and do your homework because you will regret moving into this place, please dont do it!

To the people who gave them 4 stars or higher...did you actually live at Autumn Chase or are they paying you to give them good reviews on Google? I would rate them 0 stars if I could! This has been the worst rental experience Ive had. Its very clear that it is a corporate, money-driven business that isnt worried about customer satisfaction at all. I have had so many issues with this place that it sounds ridiculous. To list a few; our dishwasher broke and it took them a month to replace it (left the old dishwasher in our apartment with standing water in it), we have had an ant infestation for months, my apartment has flooded 3 times within the 1-year lease Ive had with them, we just discovered our carpet and drywall is molding due to said floodings, floodings were cause by tree roots busting the drain pipe which was obviously never fixed (hence the flooding issue 3 separate times), they had my car towed (cost me $400), my boyfriends car got broken into while parked in this complex, my sisters car got stolen while parked in this complex and while were on the topic of parking...theres enough spaces for maybe half the residents that live here...maybe. I made an appointment with maintenance and they showed up 2 DAYS AFTER SAID APPOINTMENT. I honestly cant believe people continue to move into this complex. I wish I wouldve researched them and their reviews a lot more before deciding to move here. I couldnt be happier Im moving out.

If you drive anything bigger than a Honda Civic have fun getting out of your car once you do find a spot. Had many appliances break within the first month. It was not a good experience for us. First day that we went there we were helped by Emily she wad realy nice and accomodating. She told us that the 2 bedroom 3 bath is running for 1295.00 and that is because of the stainless appliances and was remodeled with a 750 promo that they have. And that is the H 1 apartment and HH 11 and she told us that we can avail either of this 2 units in mid November with the 750.00 promo. So we wnt home talked about and decided to come back the next day to apply. But the following day that we came in we found out from Karen (new assistant manager) that Emily quit and her last day was the first day that we came in. So now Karen was telling us that the HH 11 is available that day for 1295.00 and the 750 promo IF we get it that day that we came in and I told her that is not what Emily told us ysterday. But Karen insisted that she was wrong and the H 1 apt is the one for 1295.00 with the 750.00 promo available in mid November. I did not argue anymore and just told her that we will just apply for the H1 unit. She told us to apply right away and call her to let her know we already applied. Guess what, third day of our encounter with Autumn Chase Karen left a message and told us that the H1 is for 1325.00 and inly fir 400.00 promo after she told us to apply right away she changed the price on us again. At this time I cannot let this slide anymore! I called her told her that we applied coz she made it clear that the H1 is for 1295.00 with 750.00 promi available in mid Nov and now she changed her mind again and said if we want to get the 750.00 that we should get it now for 1325.00! I ask her to just give us the application fee back and we’re niot intrested anymore she said she cant. So my husband talked to her and told her that we will report them to the Better business and that is when she changed her statement again and said that yes she will give it to us for what we talked about but at this time I am already frustrated and thought that if they will be hard to deal with landlords might as well not to rent with them anymore coz they change there pricing every day. No Wonder they have a low rating. So for future residents while talking to their employees make sure to record whatever they tell you so you have proof of what they are offering you.
