This is a great place to live At a great price. The office staff is very courteous as well as the maintenance. When I put in a request to have something fixed the maintenance fixes it immediately.

I lived in 13819.If you are a light sleeper or dislike noise, this isnt going to be the best place for you. The buildings are old, so the insulation is terrible. I was also over two garages- one of which had a sports car in it. My biggest mistake was thinking being over a garage would actually be tolerable, and I will never make it again. I was ready to move out as soon as I moved in because the first weekend, the car left multiple times in the middle of the night, shaking my whole apartment like a jet engine. This resident basically lived in this garage, always making A LOT of noise (sanders, vacuums, yelling, etc.) at all hours. The insulation is so bad I could hear his phone ring and the conversation he would have. BE AWARE.It is said to be a non-smoking property- you can report people, and management will put notices in the doors. But its not really enforced unless they are on property. So if you have asthma or smoke allergy, dont live here. People are always smoking.I loved everything on the inside of the apartment- it was updated with new appliances and carpet before I moved in. I actually loved having heat in the ceiling- kept the apartment toasty in the winter. Management and maintenance do the best they can (especially given Covid)- I have no qualms with them. Theyre quite lovely people.

New management is greatIve been living here for almost 2 years and I really like it. its close to my job, daughters school and local shops. One thing that has really impressed me since I moved here is the new management team. They really take care of their tenants. Lately Ive been putting in more maintenance request for minor wear and tear things and what I can say about the new management is that they make sure your issue is resolved within 24 hours. If they cant resolve the issue right away they will give you a date and time of service with no delays. For example, my washer machine was leaking and at first he thought hose needed to be replace. Turns out I needed a new washer and that is what I got. The rent is affordable the only issue I have is how high it increases annually. But that is to be expected in this area. All positive.

Ive been here a little over a year now and I was concerned when we got new owners and new management, but turns out that I had met the new manager before and the new team is terrific. I had a leak in my bathtub and it was peeling and they fixed it with a short time and have always taken care of anything thats needed attention. Awesome Team! Thanks Jennifer and Dennis!

Excellent, excellent service with the new manager Jennifer and the maintenance man, Dennis. The previous owners did not provide services that were needed. Ive lived here for 14 years, and plan to stay. With the new owners I feel that they are very accommodating.

I want to state that Jennifer the manager and Denis our maintenance man has been a wonderful accommodation to these apartment complexes!! Over my last 6 years here the management and maintenance has been awful and uncaring of the housing and families living inside. Ever since the new team I love to live here again! They provide outstanding customer service and love towards your family. Everytime I need maintenance whether it be big or small, Denis is the guy to make you feel great, safe, and love your home again! He does the job right and not cheap! (No matter how many work orders I give him 😁) This team here is people we can rely on and trust.. Not only is this a great location to live, but we have the great experience of our housing team! I feel I can call Jennifer or denise for anything and that they are always willing to help or give great tips.Due to them Im inquiring on an upgrade for my apartment and planning on staying longer!Dont hesitate to make yourself at home with Somerset Terrace, you will not regret this splendful home. Its safe, clean, and friendly.... while if any questions you can always feel free to ask. Im a proud resident here and would encourage you to join the happiness!!! They have great opportunity and housing plans for many alike, so dont miss out and get your unit now! 😉

I have lived here for about 3 years now and management has changed nearly every year. Rent has skyrocketed and, for what it is, its a little bit too much. I have a two bedroom with garage for a little over 1500, but at Sterling Heights you can get a three bedroom for basically only a hundred dollars more. Connected ventilation allows the smell of weed to permeate your entire household and mold is a serious problem. Things break consistently. Moreover, there is only one trash compacter for the ENTIRE property and its used by other households in the immediate area, too, which often caused unsightly buildups of trash that can easily spread bacteria and disease. Its a complete health hazard. Newer management seems to be nice and are much more responsive to emergencies than previous managers.

Ill start this out by saying that we havent always disliked it here. When we first moved in our neighbors were nice. The price of rent was good and we liked the location. However, two years in we regret ever coming here.Absolutely do not rent here if you can help it. I know that rent is ridiculous in Clark County right now, and this place seems cheap, but if you can, find somewhere else to call home. Due to the increase in rent in the area, and this place being so reasonable weve been having a lot of trouble with people who do drugs and make a lot of noise moving in.They call their apartments non-smoking, but your neighbor will still sit on their front porch and smoke cigarettes, literally five feet away from your door. All of the ventilation is connected so when your neighbors are chronic pot smokers and they smoke in their bathroom (which weve reported several times without anything ever being done) it will smell your whole residence up.There is very poor insulation here, the walls are pretty thin. I can hear my neighbor cursing and yelling and blaring his TV whenever Im home. You will spend a fortune on heating and cooling your apartment, even if you keep your thermostat at 68 degrees all winter long. The apartment is infested with mice and ants and slugs. They come in through the damaged pipes into the kitchen sink and from behind the dishwasher.Besides the presence of pests there is mold EVERYWHERE. We were waking up with stuffy noses and couldnt figure out what was going on, we thought that perhaps it was allergies. However we discovered that the old aluminum windows, that leak year round, provide the perfect environment for black mold to grow. The mold is also found in the toilet, no matter how often you clean, and we bleach once a week, behind the toilet, and even behind the shower walls. You MUST pay for cable. Its a part of your lease. We tried to drop it in favor of using something else like Sling, but that wasnt an option at this time. Still isnt an option a year later, weve since asked again. Many of our appliances dont work very well. The dishwasher is a joke and the oven burns everything. When you FINALLY go to leave, two years later, they will give you your rent renewal offer in the middle of the month. You have 30 days to either sign a new lease or give your notice that youre leaving. If you give your notice 30 days later, on the 16th or whatever, that you are vacating, they will MAKE YOU PAY ANOTHER MONTHS RENT, because you stayed past the first of the month. If you stay even one day past the first of the month, you will be charged for the entire month. We gave our notice and were told that we had to stay through the end of the month and pay for those fifteen extra days that theyre telling us that we MUST stay for. $1,200 for fifteen days. The cherry on top of the cake was that we were literally living next door to a sex offender with active warrants out for his arrest. Management was fully aware of the situation and didnt inform anyone of this at all. Our neighbors who were moving out, told us the situation. They had learned of it because a cop came to their door asking questions about the man. This is absolutely INEXCUSABLE and dangerous, as there are many women and children living here who would be vulnerable to harm.In short, avoid this place at all costs. Do not move your family here.

All 2 bedrooms for over $1,000 a month. Plus rent goes up every year and they do not mention that to you when you sign a contract. Honestly dont bother looking here for a place to live. Not worth it.
