There was literally a drive by MURDER here a day ago and all our community received was a “this is tragic” email.Management ignores issues and does nothing to keep our community safe. We have no gates. No cameras. We have no security whatsoever. We’ve had our rent stolen twice and we were required to jump through the hoops ourselves to prove it was stolen from the office itself. Our cars and mailboxes have been broken into, my partners car almost completely stolen, parking is an absolute nightmare, so many cars here overnight unauthorized and no unit is linked to its own parking unless paid for. They don’t communicate plans to improve safety or quality of life here whatsoever. The only thing I’ve seen them most passionate about was towing cars that aren’t registered to the apartments... the least of our problems. The one star I give it for the landscape.. the landscapers are incredibly polite and do beautiful work. & that’s literally it.

Nice Manicured apartment complex. I appreciate that the dog bags are always filled to promote cleanliness. The dumpsters are almost always over flowing. I feel bad leaving my stuff beside the dumpster but theres usually not an option. The latest disappointment is that the state has been open for several weeks now and the pool is STILL closed. If youre looking to move here, dont do it for the pool or the gym. Theres been no communication or updates about either opening. Apparently its due to key fobs not working... I dont understand how this wasnt realized through the entire duration of the pandemic. Its as good of a planning as the parking arrangements here. Maintenance is on point. Lawn service is great. Very peaceful and safe area.

Im actually glad I did not move to this complex. They did me a favor by rejecting my application. I was trying to move to Columbia View due to issues I was enduring at my previous landlord. My sister is autistic and I attempted to get her out of a horrible threatening situation. At my previous apartment, my sister and I were being harassed by another tenant who smoked in his unit, sold drugs, followed my sister constantly and called us the N word on a regular. I explained this situation to Columbia View management and it went through one ear and our the other due to my previous landlord lying on me out of retaliation. Therefore, the manager at Columbia View denied my application and wouldnt even see my evidence or proof prior to the denial. I was able to share my proof and evidence of my situation to the current place Im living. The management where I moved took me in with no issues and even offered extensive advice on what to do about my previous landlord. Im so grateful that someone listened and gave me an opportunity the way Columbia View did not. I was even willing to pay at least 4 months in advance of rent, but Columbia View missed out on that when they rejected me. The place where I am is much more upgraded and consists of luxury surrounded by convenient shopping, and in a quiet neighborhood. Im grateful Columbia View rejected me. Otherwise, I wouldnt have found the great place I live in now.

Hello all,I wanted to address the professionalism I experience at this complex, the manager an staff were one of the most complete & thorough I have had in my rental history!I moved up north from San Diego to help my mother with a cancer diagnosis, which turned out to be 15 months in the PACNW, I can’t say enough how fortunate I was to land in this complex, I can only recommend that you touch base here before renting along the water front! You will not regret this opportunity, my current company has a possible regional role that might land me in the state of WA, in the next 8 months, if so it would be a pleasure to stay again in their units.Again I recommend that before you commit to any complex’s in the water front area, do your family an self a favor an check in for a view as you will not only be over satisfied with the The Cleanest but how well this complex is taken care of outside an inside!Thank you again for having me Columbia View apt!!RegardsDavid

Sad to say, but the place has really gone to pot. The neighbors are generally good, but the stairwells are absolutely filthy, and your emails or calls to management may get ignored,The parking situation is a -*nightmare* (there is literally nowhere to park at night—at ALL). The grounds are overgrown and the trash receptacles are very often OVERFLOWING, so much so that you can’t even walk into the area to throw trash into the bin unless you’re Michael Jordan. It’s overflowing weekly. A rat haven. There is a rat problem. Add to the mix all the LOUD barking dogs day and night and loud music after 10pm (into the early morning hours) when you’re trying to read or have peace at home. Neighbors balconies are next to bedroom windows so if you’re sleeping and the neighbors want to enjoy a conversation on their balcony, you may as well just invite them into your bedroom to talk loudly—forget sleeping. The apartments themselves must’ve been designed by “architects” who were high. The drawers in the bathroom won’t open if the door to the bathroom is open so you have to close the door to open the counter drawer, and you have to be some kind of a gymnast to get at the items in your kitchen cabinets, so much space is wasted. And welcome to spider haven too. Consider yourself warned.

Avoid this place! I had a decent experience moving in, but that was it. Spiderwebs cover the stairwells as well as dead leaves and other trash. Dog waste in all of the common areas. Parking is an absolute nightmare. There are very few spots that are open that you dont have to pay for, and the cars occupying the spots never move. Moving out was the WORST move-out experience I have ever had. If you have pets, be prepared for them to take your entire deposit and claim that the carpets need to be replaced and the carpet is no longer made so they replace the entire apartments carpet. No matter how clean the apartment is when you move out, theyre charging you another fee to have it cleaned again. Whatever you pay in a deposit is what theyre taking when you move out. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

My wife and I recently moved to Portland during the Pandemic (do not recommend!), and Columbia View was the first place we toured. The unit we looked at was amazing, everything was sparkling clean and there is so much space.Lisa was great with getting us a virtual tour and answering lots of questions. The agent we worked with, Dan Jones, did a fantastic job of answering questions and helping us get our application in order. While we decided to go with another place due to needing better access to public transportation in Portland, we would definitely consider Columbia View if moving to Vancouver in the future.

Love these beautiful apartments!! Been living here for 3 months, and love the layout, the interior, and all of the little details. The staff are also awesome! :) They will help you with any of your needs. The location of these apartments is super close to Fred Meyer which is very convenient, and we hear absolutely no road noise which was a problem in our last apartments. Highly reccomend these apartments!

Great experience! My girlfriend and I are planning a move from Colorado to Washington and during this pandemic our only options were to reach out to various apartments and do virtual tours. Columbia View was one of the first apartments to respond quickly to us and make the process so easy and stress free. Lisa got us into contact with a leasing agent, Kylie Scott and we were scheduled for a virtual call the next day! Kylie was so helpful and answered any questions we had and checked in with us after the call via email. Overall, love the management so far!

The quality of customer service has been significantly decreased over the past year here. This is a non-smoking property, yet residents regularly get away with it, ruining everyones experience who have breathing issues or dont smoke. Management wont do anything about it either. If you like smoking, this is the property for you. Their leadership within the community is parallel to the blind leading the drunk. They charge us fees for services that have become unusable due to coronavirus because they dont have enough staff. Example: the pool, clubhouse, and gym are not available yet they charge us for it anyways.

My husband, our 1 year old son and I have lived at Columbia for about 2 years now. We absolutely love it! Its very clean and well kept, the landscaping always looks great, and honestly, it doesnt feel like you live in an apartment. We live in a 3 bedroom and plan to stay here for awhile. If we ever need anything, the front office staff is always very quick to respond. They also dont complain about the large amount of Amazon packages that I order every day, which is a great plus! :)

We really love these apartments, they are spacious and lovely. We love the wide doors and high ceilings, it makes everything feel so much more spacious. The neighbors and nice and quiet. We love the tall oak trees all around, which makes it all feel more woodsy and like a village instead of a complex. The only thing that is tough is parking. You gotta search for it or come home earlier to get a spot or park further away.Other than that, this place deserves more than 5 stars! We love this place and the staff.

Soon to be a former resident of Columbia View Apartments, I have had the absolute pleasure of living at Columbia View, so much so that I am compelled to write this review. I have lived in apartments in AZ, CA, OR, and WA throughout my life; and I now have the opportunity to move into a house. Without question or thought, Columbia View is the greatest apartment complex I have resided in. Its staff, community, location, grounds maintenance, apartment construction, and neighbors are top-notch. All the staff are friendly, professional, engaging, and connected to the community. They excel in communicating with their residents and plan fun community activities throughout the year. My neighbors and the community are diverse, friendly, and respectful; I have not had a negative interaction or complaint during my time at Columbia View. The location is quiet and peaceful yet has quick access to the two major interstates (I-5 and I-205) where you can get to the major areas (shopping and services) of either Portland or Vancouver in mere minutes. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. I have not been able to hear the activities of my neighbors in my immediate area whose walls, floor, and ceiling are shared with my unit. The apartments have new and contemporary appliances and features. If there is a vacancy and you are considering Columbia View Apartments for your new home, do not hesitate and take action immediately. You will not regret your decision. Thank you to Taylor and all the staff at Columbia View Apartments; I am grateful and will miss residing here.Mark

I don’t ever leave reviews really but I am a little tired of getting no where with Columbia view. We’ve lived here for 3 years and the first 2 were okay no complaints other than the regular ones everyone had a problem with- parking issues, people smoking on the property and dog waste literally everywhere. That we were able to deal with, we didn’t like it but it was was it was. I called a few times for a few incidents (someone smoking at the pool) and nothing was done so I left it alone. This last year was something else. For the last few months before leaving ( March- July) our power went out in the entire apartment at least once a day but we’ve had it go out 7xs in one day. Not ideal since my husband was working from home because of the pandemic. We had my in-laws babysit once and they were shocked at how little we actually had plugged in ( washer/ dryer / Fridge/ tv). It progressively got worse despite maintenance coming 2x to fix the issue and was told it’s the blender that I never had an issue with the last 2 years. The oven started to turn off when I used it but maintenance showed us how to reset the big breaker for the entire apartment from the outside. Quite frankly this was more of a safety issue that never resolved. To top it off I cleaned that apartment every single week and left it in better shape than we got it but we got very little of our security deposit back. We had no pets and had no more than regular wear and tear aside from the fridge plastic drawer cracking which looking at the fridge couldn’t have cost very much. We weren’t in an “updated” apartment. Our rent had increased this past year by $85 which I called to talk to someone about in December because that wasn’t the option we had selected but I never got a call back or email. We were paying more than a relative living in the “updated” apartments with a view which we were told were supposedly more when moving in- and we were on the bottom floor.I will say everyone is super nice they just don’t want to deal with anything that comes up but I’d rather have someone get to the bottom of the issue than be sweet and fix nothing. The numbers just don’t add up and as much as I hate to leave a “bad” or “honest” review I feel I don’t have much of a choice. Only time can tell what a place is really like cause at first I Loved it here but things started to add up that I feel people should know about.

Dont look too closely at these if youre trying to maintain the illusion. They arent very well built and the fixtures are the cheapest they could find. The stove broke (it was less than two years old), the dishwasher makes a lot of noise and has no heated drying cycle, food spoils in the refrigerator before the expiration date... but the washer and dryer are alright.Management has very limited hours. Dont expect to see them around if you need to pick up a package right after work, theyre long gone (and closed on Sundays now too). Yet they require packages be delivered to the office directly. Fortunately they dont seem to mind holding onto them for the week, but after a week, their written policy is to return to sender. Best to plan on a Saturday morning pickup if you cant take the time off from work.Maintenance is a joke. Easily the least capable Ive ever seen first-hand, reeks of smoke, and maintenance requests are often ignored outright. The few times hes stopped by to attempt a repair, he has generally made no real improvement. No cleaning of the buildings has happened since they opened this place over two years ago, yet walls, landings and hard surfaces everywhere are filthy. No pest control, there are spiders EVERYWHERE.I requested touch ups to the paint on the walls when I moved in since they had missed about 3 dozen places. Maintenance came by and spent maybe 5 minutes painting, then disappeared without a word when I went to use the restroom. I finally managed to get a small container of paint from the office and did the work myself. It took weeks to get the paint once they had agreed to give me some, and I had to ask more than once. The unit I moved into was clearly not cleaned before they gave me the keys: spots and crumbs on the kitchen counters, drips all down the stainless, dirty carpet, dishes in the cabinets, etc etc. The office assistant had the nerve to argue with me about it despite the evidence in front of both of our faces, as we stood looking at the dirty kitchen together. They finally relented and offered up a rent credit for their mistake, but have still never cleaned the carpets.I had hoped that things would improve under the new ownership, but it looks like it is business as usual. I still have a leaking gutter (Update: after more than 6 months of trying to get it repaired through their official channels, I fixed it myself. But not before their ignorance half destroyed the deck.), sliding doors that dont open and close properly, interior doors that are hard to open or close, and gaps around the front and back that allow the heat and cold (and lots of noise) right through. So much for luxury. This is supposed to be a non-smoking property, but I frequently smell smoke of all varieties while walking around the complex or sitting on my balcony. This is apparently not well enforced.Theyre supposed to enforce pet waste cleanup. A word of advice: watch where you step. The sidewalks are usually clear, but not always. The grass is a minefield and not to be trusted, especially along the south side of the property, behind the buildings above the bluff. If you dont care about any of that and just want a reasonably convenient location, they have that going for them. Rules are hardly enforced, but using a gas grill has been expressly allowed on balconies, so thats something. Not the worst, definitely not the best.

I’ve lived at Columbia View for about two years now. The grounds are always immaculate, the staff are always incredibly responsive, professional and helpful. Taylor, the community manager, is by far the best manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She is knowledgeable and seems to genuinely care about the community. She has always gone above and beyond and treated me like a person as opposed to a “tenant” which makes every bit of difference. The maintenance team is always prompt and they do a great job. If you’re looking in the Vancouver, I strongly suggest Columbia View. The only downfall I’ve experienced is that parking can get a little hectic later in the evening. A carport is recommended. Otherwise, 5-stars!

After our cross-country move, we spent a month looking at houses and apartments, and when we found Columbia View we put an application in THAT DAY! Every day I think about how thankful I am for this amazing complex. There are lots of young families (like us) yet we never hear any noise through the walls. The ceilings are high which makes the apartments seem more spacious, and no apartment is more than 2 years old, so everything is nice and modern. The playground and pool are AMAZING and well kept, and the gym is so much bigger and nicer than any other apartments we viewed. There is tons of green grass and pretty flowers. Its super convenient to get anywhere in Portland or Vancouver because its so close to 14 and the 205 bridge. And to top it all off, the staff here is genuine and very helpful- which even stuck out on our first visit. We consider this place home and highly recommend it!

The only downfall we have personally had is, terrible parking luck if you get home after 5:30 or leave at any point during the night. The good: We loved the pool all summer, and now the gym in fall. I dont hear much noise from my neighbors, although sometimes the person walking upstairs is really loud. The location is nice, close to the freeways. The not so good: Constant construction outside my door starting at 7am every day - and they actually raised my rent despite this. Ive already had to have my fridge replaced and lost a whole freezer full of food...hundreds of dollars worth. The office insists on taking packages that are delivered, but is only open during normal business hours for residents to pick them up (when most people work), and are frequently out of the office during as well. Thus it ends up taking days to get packages. And theyre not accepting any in December.....

I hate to give bad notes about this facility, but I was ran off their property for trying to be a friend and to get residents at this property information about the Democratic Party. I dont know who the manager of this property is, but I will be filing a formal complaint with the management because they are suppressing free speech. The complex is beautiful, but the managers are scary and not allowing free speech by a local neighbor that lives next store. This is wrong and should be noted. The do not support community activities and claimed that I was bothering their residents, but the reality is I was bothering their managers because they didnt like me speaking friendly to their residents. My attempt was not to offend or attack the managers, who verbally attacked me for being essentially friendly. This is wrong and unacceptable. Please go here at your own risk. I was not soliciting at all, I did not share any material, and I did not solicit any type of financial service. Your young blonde manager, verbally attacked me for speaking and being friendly to your residents. I am a local neighbor and live right next store to your facility. I have been woken up several times by your equipment at inappropriate off hours of business as early as 7:30 am or earlier. Your resident manager was offensive and verbally abusive towards me, a local community resident who lives next door to your facility. She should be retrained or fired due to her mistreatment of me an voting citizen in her neighborhood who was just being friendly. AGAIN, I did not solicit for any thing, I only tried to share community information.
