I am so disappointed and undone I still cannot even express the words of my distress. I WAS a decades long customer until July 25th when I still as of yet have Not received a return phone call about the lack of AC. This company and at this point I use the term lightly, came to my home 3 times in less than a month costing my over $1200 and soon as the temperature rise, the hottest time of the year- no air. I called spoke with the pleasant receptionist explained all this to her. It has been a MONTH and No One has called or came. Again I still have yet to find the words of my frustration in the English language. When I find them, I will add them later.

I had them out September 1st because there was water coming from my furnace. The tech spoke down to me and was rude, but he said the culprit was two parts that needed replaced. $355, parts replaced, done. Next morning there is more water so i call again. They send a different tech out, who was very nice and the only reason i am giving two stars instead of one. He explained to me that the issue was a bad drip pan and coil, and took the time to show me the issue. He said i would need a whole new furnace and a/c unit. I was upset i had spent so much the day before for nothing. He took my number and email, and said i would receive a call and email with an estimate for the new units. I have received nothing. I have called three times and am told the person i need to talk to is on the phone but i dont get any call back. I ended up having another company replace everything for me yesterday...i couldnt go any longer cleaning water up three times a day, i was worried about structural damage.Edit from the response....i checked my spam, nothing. And still no return call.

I had a different company come and install my new ac and furnace in April. After a few months I was having issues with the air conditioning as well as the person who installed it , I decided to bite the bullet and have some one else fix it and I’m glad I did , I called Blu flame at 1030 in the morning and they were here by noon, They sent there service tech Bob who was very helpful in solving all of my issues I had with the other installer . He even pointed out some issues that the inspector missed , I wish I would have just given Blu Flame a call in the first place and I will be using them from here on out👍🏼 Again thanks to Bob at Blu flame for helping with my issues

Called and the tech showed up on time. Said it was a circuit board- 700 bucks he fixed the problem and left happened again right away. I called then another service charge for a second issue . They didn’t fix it the firs time - how can that be . I fixed it myself by replacing a $20 thermostat . I Got ripped for 700 bucks the way I see it when it was a simple thermostat fix all along.

The only place that I’ve found in Toledo that regularly stocks HVAC parts when I need them the same day. They helped me find the right igniter for my furnace and had it ready for me when I arrived. I’ve come here for flame sensors and other parts before and would definitely recommend giving them a call if you just need parts.

Dont need harrassment on top of appliance problems.

Had a technician come out a week and a half ago. Charged $95 to “diagnose” the problem and told us we would hear from someone with a quote the next day. Never heard anything back so we called them for follow up as our steam boiler was leaking and not working. Normally no heat would not be an issue but temps were dropping at night and I have an 8 wk old. Long story short we never heard back from them despite reaching out twice and being told we would get a callback within a few hours. Totally unprofessional. Had another technician come back, repair the problem the same day and charged us less than half of what BluFlame quoted us. I would never recommend them or use them again.

This past weekend our air conditioning went out. It was determined it was not practical to repair being 17 years old. Bluflame put the original system in complete with furnace back in 1999 and did a great job then. I called Steve at 8:30 Monday morning and explained our situation and needs and they were at our house 90 minutes later starting the job. The job was done 100% by 4pm that same day and we love it! It pays to be loyal and stick with a winner and Bluflame treats you the same way. I highly recommend this company for a very competitive price, great service and skilled workmanship. Kudos to Bluflame! The city inspector was very satisfied with the job and said they do nice work! From a knowledgeable guy like him, that is really good to hear.

Pricing was absolutely crazy!! The guy who came out seemed like he didn’t even know what he was doing, I had to help him myself! Charged me $120.00 to come clean my unit (Ok I can understand this charge), the guy was inexperienced about a boiler as I had to help him figure some things out and had to call someone else multiple times. Then wanted to charge me an ADDITIONAL $420 to change out a $100 part. My unit is a simple unit and the part is right in front so maybe a 20 minute job. Do not recommend at all!

Had a rental property hot water tank go out on me. Called Bluflame, they were prompt. It was originally misdiagnosed, stopped working the next day. They came back out and then told me it was a manufacturer issue with whirlpool and Id have to cal them. I did, turns out Whirlpool could not help me. I ended up replacing the hot water tank. They still charged me almost $200 for a cleaning and service call. I asked for a partial refund because it was misdiagnosed and I havent heard back. I also asked for an invoice to be mailed to me, and Ive been waiting about a month for that. Will not use them again.

The diagnostic fee is $95.00, but it doesnt cover ANY work that might need to be done. Even clearing a plugged line that took 2 minutes!! The repair man told us that he had to charge $ 85.00 FLAT RATE to unplug the line because that was the company policy. He was very apologetic and seemed to feel bad that he had to charge such an exorbitant amount for such a quick fix. We agreed to it ONLY because we had already invested $95.00. This company policy is horrible. I called and spoke to the owner to see if she would make an exception under the circumstances and waive the extra $85.00 (as good customer relations) and she wouldnt budge. Im disgusted that we had to pay $180 for a 2 minute repair. We have used Bluflame prior to this service call but we will not be calling them again.

Google should allow zero or negative starsI have been working on the house of my fiancé in Sylvania. She had blue flame out to install (several years ago), a furnace, hot water heater and to supply gas to and hook up a new gas dryer where previously she had an electric dryer.Since the first time I was in the house, there was a smell of natural gas. We werent sure where it was coming from. So literally YEARS she has been living with this problem. My first job that I had to correct was replacement of a plugged dryer vent. I know what you are thinking...that happens, not blue flames fault. I agree, however they were the ones who installed the gas and the dryer and then hooked it up to a vinyl spiral wound vent...a definite no-no. So I replaced the duct and was hoping the smell would go with it. No such luck.So looking around her house and the work that blue flame did, I noticed they used this new flexible corrugated gas line. But the install was kooky. The flex line went through a layer of drywall, and emerged on the other side through a cast iron hub ( not sure of the terminology) which was connected to the wall with screws and anchors. I would have preferred a black pipe installation myself. So yesterday I hooked the dryer up after a while without it during a remodel. Immediately the gas smell was back. So I snooped all of the connection points. No bubbles. Somehow the hub had pulled away from the wall a bit so I pulled it out and my fiancé said check the line behind the hub (so that is a connection INSIDE a wall, if you are following along). Initially no leak was detected, until I shot a ton of detector in the space and got one big bubble. For those of you who dont know, leak detector will only work well on small leaks, big ones are harder since the bubble pops almost instantly. I shut the gas off and took apart their fitting, but not knowing the installation technique, I went on a google search. Found the installation manual. Says there is supposed to be a silicone o-ring in the fitting. Guess what? No effing o-ring. no wonder. I was upset about the dryer vent before this discovery. Now I am pissed! It is amazing the house is still standing since the dryer vent was a fire hazard and the gas line was an explosion hazard.Use this company at your own peril in my opinion.Edit: Above I said there should be an o-ring. I may be mistaken, since there are many brands of this CSST material. My guess now (since I have been unable to identify the manufacturer of the gas line and fittings) is that the plastic jacket material should have been partially clamped down by the split ferrule providing the sealing. At least that is the technique for one of the products using split ferrules. However, mistaken or not about the o-ring, these things are true;1 blue flame hooked up all of the gas line2 there was a leak from the very beginning, which she thought was coming from the garage, where the meter is. I think that there was a draw somehow on that part of the wall that was filling up with gas and getting pumped out to the garage3 the leak was massive4 nobody should have been in the house for 1 minute since the time the work was done

Horrible experience. Bluflame ripped us off when our gas was turned off by gas Company because we smelled gas. They came out about three hours after we called there was no mention of what the rate would be for this type of service even though I explained what our problem was and we needed them to find leak/fix leak so gas could be turned back on. Serviceman was very nice polite looked at furnace which is in our home and then the meter which is out in the garage. After he had been there for awhile he told me while he was in garage 20 feet away from me and while I was standing in the doorway to garage that they have fixed rates for this work??? Nothing mentioned over the phone to this fact. HE rattled off several figures while still out in the garage. Saying it could cost me up to a 1000.00 dollars. I said hopefully not that I hope they find it quickly and easily. Which they did. After two hours the tiny leak was fixed (and much of the two hours was spent in conversation -1st with me and then again with my husband when he came home.) I thought great this wont be too bad. I was then presented a bill for $734.00. 57.00 for parts the rest labor. I Have called twice to speak to the owner Julie about this obsessive billing. She told me I could of told them not to do the work once he told me the rates. THESE RATES NEED TO BE DISCLOSED OVER THE PHONE. THEY NEED TO BE REPEATED AND THE CHART SHOWN TO THE CUSTOMER WHO THEN AGREES AND INITIALS THESE RATES PRIOR TO WORK BEING PREFORMED. THIS WAS NOT DONE! I was charged a flat fee of 172.00 to pressure test lines. Columbia gas had already done that. Search for leaks 279.00? ( ~ 40 feet of line to check from garage to furnace) repair leaks 131.00 ? fittings 57.00. PLUS a 95.00 diagnostic fee (Columbia Gas and I already provided the diagnostics) which you would think they a would apply to agreeing to the work to be performed. I NOW KNOW THAT IF BLUFLAME IS at your home for ten minutes or ten hours you are charged these INSANE RATES? Ripping off customers who are at their mercy because their gas is off and they are already there and have looked at the job. THEY KNEW WHY THEY WERE COMING OUT? BUT NO ONE SHARED any RATE AND ESPECIALLY NOT THESE RATES? NOW I know why. Who would have them come out. I WILL NEVER CALL BLUFLAME AGAIN !
