I called them last winter when our 30 year old furnace quit and they were able to come out the same day and fix it for slightly over $100. The technician suggested we get a new furnace soon, because getting parts would be hard for an old furnace. I decided to get a new furnace last week and I am very satisfied. I would highly recommend Glass City Heating and Air Conditioning.

I would definitely call them again. My boyfriend and I are new home owners and our AC suddenly went out. They were able to get us an appointment very quickly (other places were booked out 1-2 weeks) and an hour time frame rather than 3-4 hour time frames for appointments. The man who came to do our service was extremely friendly and kind. Literally all that was wrong was we hadn’t replaced the air filter since we moved in 2 years ago (whoops!) but he still did a thorough check of everything to make sure for us. He didn’t make me feel bad for not knowing about the air filter and told us a few things to make sure were doing regularly for upkeep. Great experience!

The owner came out the same day I called to give me an estimate for a new furnace. Very personable. Our furnace died the week of Christmas. We called them out because the furnace was working intermittently. The tech made some adjustments but advised that with the condition and age of the furnace, it was likely to need replaced. The fact that they did not pressure us into anything was the best part of the experience. We did end up having them install our new furnace and i loved everyone we had contact with. The office lady was super friendly and let us know what was happening every step of the way. The techs were polite and cared that they job they did was accurate. Now my house is warm and i am so glad we had GCHAC do the install. Thank you for a wonderful experience! And no offense, but hope to not see you for a while!!!! :)

They got our boiler up and running in the coldest week of the winter. They have bailed us out a couple times on the ancient apparatus. Professional, prompt, and fair. We will be installing a new boiler with them soon. Highly recommend.

Had to replace my furnace this winter. Very professional staff and heat works just like new. No complaints at all.

I was told that the heat exchanger was cracked and a new furnace was recommended. I decided to get a second opinion from a licensed HVAC professional. After a thorough inspection no cracks were found in the heat exchanger. The problem was determined as a faulty switch and it was replaced. $300 vs $3500 !!

They were very professional. Came out as scheduled. Had some issues with installation due to the age of the home but they were completed as soon as they could get additional parts. I like using local when at all possible.

I used 3 different company quotes, and Glass City out did the other two by a few thousand without knowing the other quotes. The install was done efficiently and timely. They even beat the huge rainstorm that was coming.

My home has two HVAC systems, due to an addition. Glass City HVAC installed a complete HVAC system and Hot water tank, in 2009 and I was completely satisfied.When my other HVAC system (it was installed in 1981) needed replacing, I called Glass City. There estimate was within my budget and their young installers were very plesant, thourough and knowageable of what they were doing The job was finished in one day, totally cleaned up the area and showed me how to operate and ask if I had any questiions before they left.Amazing how a much a newer system works and I am sure my Utility bills will be lower!!

Great service and exceptional employees, our Technician stayed till everything was complete with a great clean up, and gave us a detailed training on our new system. I even referred a friend and she is using them now for her repairs.

They installed our awesome Mitsubishi mini split for a great price with great installers!

The only reason Im giving them one star is because I didnt have the option to give them none. I purchased a complete new furnace and a/c in 2014. Once I turned over the $8500 check is when the customer service went from bad to worse. During the middle of our install, which was scheduled to last 3 days, I received a call from the office that they didnt be coming out the second day because they had a call from someone that had no heat. Mind you, neither did we. So they came the next day to finish, and within hours of leaving some of the ductwork that they installed started falling down! I sent a picture of it to our salesperson, Perry, who snidely wrote back why are you sending this to me?... maybe because you sold me the work?!!? Anyway, fast forward to this year, and the a/c stops working. They come out and inject a dye to see where it is leaking from, and say theyll be back in 2 weeks to check. 3 1/2 weeks later, I call them because the unit stops again. They say oh, we were going to call you today! Anyway, they come out and tell me its a bad coil, happens all the time because the unit cant handle the pressure needed!?? But, still they sell them! Icing on the cake, I was called yesterday by glass city, they set up an appointment to come out and replace the faulty coil, which is going to cost me around $500, so I make arrangements to leave work early. Im home, waiting, waiting, waiting.....no show. I call, and they didnt even put me on the schedule, didnt order the coil, etc....I rue the day I called them originally. Beware!

IN JUNE 2017 MY WHOLE HOUSE AIR CONDITIONER WASNT WORKING. SO, AFTER SEEING A GLASS CITY HEATING TRUCK IN MY NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY, I GAVE GLASS CITY A CALL. THEIR TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AND AFTER A WHILE HE DETERMINED THAT MY BLOWER MOTOR HAD A DIRECT SHORT. I LEFT HIM FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND ON MY RETURN HE INFORMED ME THAT THE REAL BAD NEWS WAS THAT THE HEAT EXCHANGER IN MY UNIT WAS CRACKED. HE SAID,I PUT MY HAND UP THERE AND I COULD FEEL THE CRACK. BASED ON THIS INFORMATION, HE PROCEEDED TO ATTEMPT TO SELL ME A $3300 REPLACEMENT UNIT. I SCHEDULED A DATE 2 WEEKS OUT FOR THE UNIT TO BE REPLACED.I WAS VERY SUSPISIOUS OF HIS DIAGNOSIS AND GOT ANOTHER COMPANY TO LOOK AT MY HEATING UNIT. THIS TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED THE SHORT IN THE BLOWER MOTOR AND HAD TO DISASSEMBLED THE UNIT TO DETERMINE IF THE HEAT EXCHANGER WAS CRACKED. DISASSEMBLY WAS THE ONLY WAY TO DETERMINE IF THE HEAT EXCHANGER WAS CRACKED . AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO CRACK IN MY EXCHANGER. HE CHARGED ME A TOTAL OF $580 FOR THE SERVICE CALL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE BLOWER MOTOR.I AM CONCERNED AT THE GLASS CITY TECHNICIAN MISREPRESENTATION OF CONDITION OF MY HEATING/COOLING UNIT. I FEEL THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY IGNORANCE IN AN ATTEMPT TO SELL ME A UNNECESSARY REPLACEMENT.

Glass City Heating & Air Conditioning put in my air conditioner in a timely and fashionable manner, they are awesome. 10/10 service!

I had this company out to my home 3 times! The first 2 times they came out, they found a fairly small problem with the AC unit. The first diagnosis was the disconnect. Then the weather cooled off and I did not use the unit much; the second time I had them out they said a loose plug was to blame, and they zip-tied the plug into place. Each time they came out they charged $80. Finally, less than a week later they came out a third time, got there at least 20 minutes before the appointment and before I even got home (I had arranged to leave work early to be able to meet the technician since there have been so many issues, and obviously I was getting frustrated). The slip left in the door stated that the unit had a terminal that had rusted away and the whole unit would require replacement, estimated to cost $3200. Given that it is impossible for this connection to completel rust away in a year, let alone a couple months, I can only believe that these guys either 1) never gave the unit a thurough check or 2) decided that they could get away with leaving the issue so that they could come out for multiple service calls.After the 3rd appointment I called to talk with one of the owners, Perry, and explained the situation and that it was not right that it took 3 service calls to determine that the unit was bad. I at least expected him to give me a credit for the service calls I paid for towards a new A/C unit. His response was unfriendly at best, claiming that there was never a misdiagnosis and there was nothing he could do for me. He insisted that they didnt make the unit rust away and that it wasnt there fault. Then proceeded to hang up on me. I never placed blame on anyone for the unit going bad. I was dissatisfied that the problem wasnt detected sooner.Overall, Glass Citys management is less than professional, I would not recommend!

$80 to replace batteries in my thermostat. I understand costs of business, but exceptions can me made. I used their service because I went to school with their son, now I will be using the services of Vintage Heating & Air.
