I am so happy with the service I received from Kiernan-Laitnen that I decided to write this review. Not only were they my first choice because they were a sponsor for my sons football team(Horlick) but they ended up being the best price and service.I got 5 quotes to install a central air system and K-L heating was the best deal hands down, it wasnt even close. I was even able to upgrade to a higher seer unit for better energy savings and still come in hundreds of dollars cheaper then the other quotes lower seer units.The installers were on time and did a great job. they even worked with me on my archaic heating system and made it work. After getting so many quotes and reading so many reviews I can say 100% without a doubt these guys are the best and if you go with them, you wont be disappointed.p.s. I dont, nor have I ever worked for these guys, nor did I know anyone that works there. this review is 100% real, unlike some of the reviews ive read on google. lol

Kevin D. was able to help me install a new thermostat in my home over the phone. He kindly and patiently walked me through the installation and had an answer to every question I asked. Thanks to him, I learned a thing or two and had a new working thermostat! Definitely recommend. :)

We bought our Carrier furnace and air conditioner and thermostat through a different company. On Thursday evening our thermostat said SYSTEM FAULT 82-Thermal Lockout 4 hours. We called the other company Friday morning and they said well come out on Monday. How are you going to pay for this? We felt that they didnt care less and they were rude! Carrier gave us the name and phone number of Kiernan. When we called they said they would send a technician out today. Their care and concern meant a lot to us! The technician came out in less than an hour. He replaced the bad part on the air conditioner, reset the thermostat and the bill was less than $150.00!! We will definitely not go back to the other company (we had other problems with them in the past)!! We will highly recommend Kiernan-Laitinen to our family and friends! They did an incredible job!!!!

We had Kiernan install a new forced draft carrier unit with AC, UV light, ION filter and air recover (fresh air). We had a boiler before so they did all the sheet metal, ducts, vents etc.... What a great job, Shane and the owner were easy to work with and were perfectionists. Today I had them install a humidifier and again a NICE job!!!!! Pretty solid company and lead installer Shane is good!!!!

Just had the furnace annual maintenance done by Kevin D.. He was very helpful to go over the various items checked and made sure all parts of the furnace were working to spec. He also cleaned the water filter and replaced and again made sure all things worked. Very satisfied customer.

Unbelievable, called early Sunday morning and got a call back in a few minutes from the technician Kevin. Their rates were more affordable than the 2 other places we called and he was able to get our heater running same day. Really couldnt ask for more, very knowledgable people.

Nothing but problems from the very beginning. They couldnt remember our schedules installation date. They installed our furnace and AC wrong and improperly. They left a mess behind, ignored our concerns and claimed they did everything correct. So why does my 8 month old unit already have a leak, water pooling inside and rust both inside and outside the unit? Demanded payment without making corrections to their poor work. NEVER use this company! Pay a little more for a different company. It will be so worth it in the long run. I promise.

Highly recommended!!! I never felt pressured to buy, or they were trying to over sell me anything I didnt need. They were very honest, so I had a new furnace installed. They arrived exactly when they said they were going to, installed the furnace, were extremely polite, and there were no hidden fees, / charges Ive had to deal with from other furnace companies who took advantage of my lack of knowledge. I had the very best experience with this service yesterday on an 80 degree day! From the receptionist, Lianne, to the technician, Lance, the service was courteous, prompt, and honest! The tube of my air conditioner was clogged and after calling around to compare service fees and hourly labor, I decided to go with this company and was not disappointed!First of all, I was surprised in this heat that they had a technician even available. From my initial phone call to the time my service was complete, a mere two hours had passed. Lance was accommodating, respectful, and explained what he was doing. If this problem had not been addressed this quickly and accurately, I could have been in for a very expensive ordeal! Do not even shop around; these are the people for you!!! This company used to be the best. My experience this year has been absolutely terrible. It took 3 visits to get the problem fixed, and I had to tell them what it was - after a technician had already been here twice and furnace was still not fixed!! I will be going to another HVAC company in the future. Although everyone was nice, this company has gone downhill. During one of my phone calls I got guy on the phone who was arguing with me and treating me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. When I told him the tech who was here didn’t seem to know what he was doing - his answer was to tell me how many years experience that tech has. Then he all of a sudden seemed to catch himself and became very solicitous. Too little too late. I do not recommend this company any longer, which is sad. As I said, they used to be the best.

The men from Kiernan Laitinen who installed our new furnace and central air did an outstanding job. They were totally polite and everything was done in such a professional manner. They cleaned up when they were through, and left us with such a satisfied feeling that we know we went with the right company. Our sales rep was outstanding too - couldn’t have asked for better!!! I would never recommend anybody to this business. Very unprofessional and the “Boss” Elizabeth Is so rude I don’t understand how this place is still running. I had a problem with my furnace so I gave them a call. They came out multiple times sending the same tech/only tech they have. They recommended the replacement of an expensive part only to then tell me that wasn’t the issue. The owner doesn’t like to deal with customer service issues what so ever! I called multiple times leaving so many messages for him to return my call and nothing! If your having heating and cooling issues DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!!

Had them install a/c , furnace and water heater less then 1 year ago. Terrible job. Ordered wrong furnace and installed damaged water heater in wrong place ,asked technician about damage to water heater said he didnt do it. Called office to have sales person come out to look at it. They replaced water heater next day and installed in right spot. They left without starting water heater, called again to have them come back and start water heater. Less then 1 year later have issues with corrosion in furnace because hose clamp not tightened probably. Technician worked on clamp for 5 minutes ,sat in truck for 25 minutes. Gave me a bill for $200 . I asked why work wasnt covered under warranty. Technician was very rude and said he would call his boss . another 15 minutes in truck ,gives me bill for $95.said I had to pay for trip charge. Will not use Kiernan again.

From the initial appointment to installation Kiernan and Laitinen did an amazing job! It was pressure free, price was pretty dang good and they were done and cleaned up in under 5 hours. I would definitely recommend them!

Im positing it again here because a) its detailed and b) I dont want to type this all out again and c) they did such great work they deserve the (admittedly minimal) effort to give them the review they deserve!Our experience could not have been better.We woke up at 5:30AM on Friday, February 15, 2019, to a 62 degree house; it was cold outside and the inside temps were falling. At some point during the night/early morning the furnace had shut down. I checked the furnace to such a degree as I knew how--which, interestingly enough, I was shown how to do by a Kiernan-Laitinen technician 5 years prior when we had our aging furnace inspected, cleaned and serviced.After trying several times, it was a no go. The furnace would blow, but no heat. It appeared our 20+ year old furnace would need repair/replacing. Having had such good service prior, we called Kiernan-Laitinen again. The person who helped us--Im sorry to say I cannot recall his name--told us a service tech would be on the way shortly to inspect the furnace and explain any options. And he was, and he did!The technician arrived within an hour of our call and after a short inspection gave us the bad news, the heater for our model was shot and if replaced would likely run us over $1200, while a new furnace, which would cost more, would be a better investment over time. Not terribly surprising, it was 20+ years old. The technician told us his service manager would contact us shortly with repair or replacement options. And they did!In addition to repair or replacement options, the service manager offered to send another technician out with space heaters if we needed them. Thankfully we were not there yet, but the offer was certainly appreciated. The service manager gave us the quotes and explained they had another emergency job the same day (no heat in winter is no joke) and once we decided on our options would do his best to get us serviced the same day. And, dare I say it again? They did!After some discussion, a review of finances, and more discussion, we opted for a new furnace install, with some additional options. We called Kiernan-Laitinen and asked to set an appointment for the install, with the understanding it might be a chilly evening (inside temps were now in the 50s, I was wearing two layers of everything). But not so! They were able to send another tech out almost immediately--within an hour of our call-- to begin disconnecting the old furnace and prepping the area for the new install. A short while later--it was still light outside--a small team arrived with a new furnace on a truck. A short while after that a larger team arrived and began the simultaneous removal of the old furnace and installation of the new. Soon it was after 5pm, dark outside and temperatures were dropping--I was honestly expecting to hear them packing up to head for their own warm homes and explain how a team will be back Saturday to finish...?But that was not the case. They kept at it to completion. Two hours later they finished the install, inspected our duct-work, checked the vents and sure enough, heat!By 10PM our house was back to normal and our new furnace kept us warm through the winter (and the dismal 2019 spring, bleh).Now the heat of summer is setting in, and we are thinking Air Conditioner. Guess who we are going to call?

Recently, I had a new furnace humidification system installed and had my furnace ducts cleaned in two seperate visits to my home in Racine, WI by Kiernan and Laitinen Heating & Cooling. The crew arrived punctually for each appointment and were very considerate and informative. In each case, the work was done well within the estimated time period and all residue related to the work was completely removed from all affected areas prior to their departure. In the case of the humidifier, their employee completely explained the use and maintenance of the device. I would highly recomment hiring this agency for repairs and new installations. Their pricing for the work done was very fair and competitive. Good job guys & thank you!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! BAD ATTITUDE!! The lady Elizabeth in the office is totally rude and incompetent. I dont see how she keeps her job unless shes sleeping with the owner or something. They constantly have new employees in their office who always seem to be nice but once I went in to buy a filter and saw Elizabeth being ridiculously abusive to an employee which explains a lot. The owner Jon refuses to return calls once he realizes its a customer service problem. He was all nice as long as he thought he had a new sales opportunity. The company is run in an unprofessional manner all around.

I have been very happy over the years with the work that they have done for my furnace and air conditioning unit. The preventative maintenance that they do helps keep my system working and in top shape. I recommend them to any one in the area that needs work done.

I have been to their outlet store to pick up parts. One of the parts I didnt know how to install, so the woman at the counter said she would have a service tech come and help me install it free of charge. It was great to know that I would be receiving professional help.

If I could have rate zero stars I would have. They came out for my AC unit that was not blowing cold air. They were here 2.5 hours, charged me full price and left. My ac still was not functioning. I called them back and they came out the next day. This second individual who came out seemed to have an attitude. They again charged me full price and left. His exact words were there is nothing else we can do for you. My AC unit still was not working. They concluded that my unit was dirty and on both days and simply cleaned the filters. It was over 90° in my house. Anyone would have known something was still wrong. So I called another company who came out and within 25 minutes found that I needed a new capacitor. They fixed it and my ac is running like new. I called Kiernan-Laitinen back to make them aware. Their only words were Ok, thanks for letting me know. I will NEVER go back to them and I will continue to tell everyone I know my experience with them. I DO NOT recommend them AT ALL.

I have recommended Kiernan & Laitinen to many friends and family. They did a great job with my parents house as well as my own house. They are hard workers and very nice people.

During our July heat wave, our older central air went out. We called Kiernan and Laitinen and they sent someone over that evening. The first serviceman went up into our poorly laid out attic and was unable to do much for us, but put us on the appointment list. The next two guys who came the next day discovered we had a very unique system that was only used for one year before the company changed it. K & L took the time to research my system, trouble shoot and find parts. We had at least four visits and the bill was very reasonable for all the trouble they went through. I mentioned the attic because the way it is laid out makes any work up there difficult at best and in order to take care of some of the work, two service men were needed. I did not give a 5 star only because there was a mix up with the office and the answering service that caused a day delay in an appointment.

Kiernan-Laitinen do excellent work. The staff does a great job and the pricing is competitive.

Called Kiernan last week, as they installed my furnace many years ago, after detecting an electrical burning smell coming up through the heating vents. I also noted the outside of the furnace was extremely hot to the touch. They were very quick to respond, and a technician arrived within about 40 minutes. So far, so good. The experience went downhill from there.The technician that arrived seemed to have a bit of attitude. After more than 30 minutes in the basement looking at the furnace, I went down to find out from the technician what he found. He was playing on his cellphone when I got downstairs. He told me he could find nothing wrong with my furnace other than a hose that was old and plugged and he had replaced the hose. I told him I knew the furnace was 20 years old (because that is how old my house is), and he corrected me and told me the furnace was 21 years old. Maybe it was 21 years old, if Kiernan put in a year-old furnace when they initially installed it. Other than that, he pointed out I had not had my furnace serviced in 3-4 years, but he could find nothing wrong with my furance and the very hot exterior of the furnace was not unusual in a 20-year-old furnace. I asked about the electrical burning smell, and he blew it off. Again, a bad attitude all around from the technician. He spent 40 minutes in my basement to replace a small section of hose.Well, two days after his service visit my furnace quit working. The blower is not working, the furnace is dead. I will now be replacing my furnace, and I will be calling for estimates from other heating contractors. Kiernan will not get my business again.

The people at Kiernan and Laitinen are great people. The prices are good and reasonable and I have always had great experiences when dealing with them.

On friday 07 12 13 I called your company Kiernan & Laitinen to check my furnace it was making a loud noise. A service man arrived within 15 min I was told I needed a blower, but because the furnace was so old I said I wanted to buy a new one. Later that day the owner Jon arrived with several options, after making a selecting he stated hed return the same day with an application which he did. I completed it over the weekend for Jon to pickup on monday, when he didnt come I called the office and was told hed pick it up later that day, well he didnt nor did he even to call the weather was in the ninetys. This was very unprofessional I researched his company it was rated 1 out 5 stars & I see why. I researched FIRST CALL HEATING & COOLING they were rated 5 out 5 stars I am happy to say an excellent job & quick service was appreciated, thanks Brian Christman.

Rude and unprofessional staff members and complaints not considered seriously. I would NEVER use this company for any services.
