They replaced sump pump. It was easy to make appointment and the woman I spoke with answered my questions and was super friendly. The guy was friendly, professional, punctual. The price was great. I am absolutely thrilled with the job Jason did! After the city worked on the water across the street, we had some issues. We got sediment in our pipes. I had sewer backup in my basement and called a different drain cleaning company. They were not able to get the drain unclogged and told me I had a collapsed pipe outside. They charged $350 and gave me an estimate for $5200.- $5800 to fix the pipe. I called Building Waters for a second opinion and they referred me to another drain cleaning company who got my pipes cleaned perfectly and showed me the inside of the pipes with a camera. No broken pipes. Everything is fine and this saved me $5000 smackers. Super happy. Thanks to Building Waters. Dont hesitate to call. First Class!

After our water heater started streaming water, it was difficult to find a company that could replace outside of normal business hours. Building Waters picked up the phone immediately when I called, and had Jason out within half an hour, and a new heater installed in less than 2 hours. It was causing a lot of stress and concern over the water damaging the basement, and the safety concerns with a leaking water heater. I am extremely grateful for the fast and timely service. I used this company twice within a month, and both times my experience was great! The first time was to replace my failing hot water heater. They were here within several hours after I talked to Katie in the office, and we had hot water by noon that day! The second time was after our furnace stopped working. Once again, after talking to Katie in the office, a technician named Steve was at my house within an hour and a half! He diagnosed the problem and told me they would get the part needed, and someone would be there the next morning to fix the issue. He also went back to the shop and brought three of the company space heaters back to my house to get us through the night! No charge, just an added service. We called Building Waters to look at our non functioning shower and give us a quote. The guy was there for 5 minutes, described what he thought the problem was, and then said he didnt have the tools with him to fix it but we still owed almost $200 as they charge for an hour regardless of whether they can do the job. He then quoted us an additional $500 to actually fix the problem. We got a second opinion and my husband ended up being able to fix it for less than $100. Seems like a scam to charge people when no work was done and it wasnt our fault that he didnt have the proper tools with him.

We had 3 pretty minor plumbing issues. Rob identified the problems immediately, had the tools and supplies on hand to fix them, and did so efficiently and with a great attitude. The schedulers I spoke with on the phone were very friendly yet professional and were able to get Rob to our home the day after my initial call. The charge for the visit was very reasonable. I will absolutely call Building Waters for any additional plumbing issues and I would recommend them with complete confidence.

Hot water heater went out at the most inconvenient time - called Building Waters and they were able to dispatch a tech and new heater within 90 minutes. Tech was friendly, professional, kept the work space clean, and did an excellent job. Was able to get the house back online well before noon. If you need plumbing related work - do not hesitate to call Building Waters!

I had a backup sump pump installed on Sep 3rd and I am really unsatisfied with the communication from Building  Waters. My husband called (spoke with Luann) to see what the cost would be to install the backup and was told it would be $115 an hour for labor only since we already had the pump and battery and that it would take about an hour for installation. As a customer, I take that as the bill would be approximately $115-$130 depending if they needed to use extra PVC fitting or maybe went a bit over an hour. That was not the case, I ended up with a $258 bill. I was charged for a full 2 hours when the tech was only at my house  1.5 hours and was also charged an additional  $20 in materials. Let me explain my issues with this.Number 1- In the cost of materials there is a $15 charge to check the valve. Why was that not disclosed at the time the appointment was made.Number 2- We made the appointment over a week in advance and then 24 hours before the scheduled day, we get a call that a plumber quit and they either needed to move the time up an hour and a half or reschedule for the following  week. I understand things happen but its not really my problem that you had someone quit. Honestly, this was inconvenient but was made more of an issue considering the bill etc.Number 3- After we had to rearrange our schedule  to accommodate a new appointment time for 7:30, the tech did not arrive until nearly 7:55.Number 4- After speaking with the office manager concerning the additional half an hour in labor, she told me that they charge portal to portal. Basically meaning that were getting charged prior to the tech actually arriving at our home. We are being charged from when he is at the facility loading his truck with appropriate materials to when the job is finished and he is leaving our house. The office manager felt that they were honest in their invoicing and that it is industry standard to charge portal to portal. Well I am not a plumber to know what Industry Standard is or isnt. I believe that is the companies job to be transparent with how they do their billing. We may not have been told an outright lie, but we were not given an honest representation of how we would be billed.Luann not only told us the hourly rate was $115 which according to the office manager is $113, but we were led to believe we would be charged only labor at $115 per hour and the job would take about an hour. I think perhaps the office staff should be retrained as to how the billing works and how it should be explained to customers clearly and transparently.I feel like anyone in my position would be frustrated as well. The tech was nice and I have no issue with him but it was a smoke and mirrors game as far as the billing process.

They charged $1000 to remove and incorrectly reinstall a furnace, resulting in a gas leak. They bragged about not charging to come back to fix their dangerous mistake, but insisted on charging full price for substandard work. I wouldnt trust these people to reload a stapler. Theyve proved they cant be trusted when working with objects that can leak.

I had a few plumbing issues two separate times and BWI sent ELI over quickly both times.Then two days ago we had a 10 hour electrical power outage during a vicious overnight thunderstorm. The next day the electrical power was restored, but I had no hot water.I immediately contacted Building Waters, Inc about having someone come for servicing my hot water heater.I talked to Luann in the office and she shuffled their repair schedule to have a service technician come that day at noon time.Ray could get an arc out of the burner unit, but the gas would not come through, sotherefore, the tank wouldnt light.Ray made a few calls, but the hot water tank is 15 years old and no reliable replacement burners are available for this older mode and the company no longer manufactures this particular tank and doesnt have burners on the shelf.My best option was to purchase and have installed a new hot water tank. So I did that.Luann checked and reshuffled their schedule because they would need two people to remove the old tank and lower the new tank into the partial basement crawl space and then install it.Next morning at 7:00 AM, Dean, a Journeyman, and John his helper arrived, and after brief pleasantries were exchanged and I showed them how to get the new tank into place, they went straight to work.They were done and had left by 10:00 AM.They even disposed of the old tank.I have been very pleased with the service, the products and the friendliness of everyone I have come into contact with at Building Waters, Inc. of Racine, WIKudos and thanks to all!!!

Called on Thursday needed new dishwasher hooked up and new water line for ice maker. Was able to pick a time for Friday morning. First plumber I called never called back. Was told this is parts and labor jobs. Rod called when he was on his way, accessed the situation needed to go get a few parts returned and proceeded answered all questions did everything he could.Lowe’s documents said dishwasher did not come with power cord but it did. Old dishwasher was hard wired. So I needed to get outlet installed. Rod still did all the plumbing connections. Plugged into temporary outlet worked no leaks. Explained how it would need to be anchored when outlet installed. Water line for ice maker no issues. 2hrs labor plus parts. Some folks say they are high priced. I thought it was reasonable.Was able to get outlet in later and I was able to push dishwasher into place and anchor no problem. Now I have a functioning dishwasher.

Plumber was slow and moderately incompetent. Took him 30 minutes to line up a disposal and then he didnt know how to plug it in and turn it off. In total it took him 2 hours and 45 minutes to reattach 1 drain and a disposal. This should have been 1.5 hours tops. Plus then they charged an additional 45 minutes to travel from portal to portal, whatever that means. Hopefully the other portal didnt get charged as well for mine. So if you hate money and want to pay double plus incur trip charge gouging, go with Building Waters!!

Used Building Wates with our Home Warranty! We lucked out that our home purchase included a home warranty in case anything unexpected happened. Well, summer came and when we started using the A/C, the capacitor broke.I was very impressed with their timeliness, professionalism, and the knowledge of the guy that came out to our how to do the repair! Even if we didnt have the warranty, I would certainly call them again!

Before calling Building Waters for plumbing help, I did a little research on their reviews. Overall everything looked good and I have to agree with the reviews. When I called for an appointment, Jill was courteous and helpful in setting it up. On the day of the appointment Dean came to the house and I was grateful in how friendly, knowledgeable and willing he was to show me what I had been doing wrong when trying to swap out a water cartridge on my own. They have earned my business in all future plumbing problems.

I have a rental property that had standing water in the basement, I made the call and the appointment they call my tenant and let her know their arrival time, they performed the necessary work with out calling me at any time even though that is was what I was told that the process was. I never received a call bit I did receive a bill. Having been through this before on this ang other properties I thought I had a general idea of what the invoice should be. To my surprise it was more than triple. So I made the call and spoke with someone that said he was the owner, I have to say that I was loud and out of line the way I spoke with him, that said he was telling me over and over that how unsafe the basement was even though he wasnt ever there, and he told me that they worked over time and did not charge mw for that, then told me that his team was back at the shop a little after 6. Then said they did not get their until 4 be in the same sentence that he had 2 men there for 4 hours well you can do the math maybe a total of 4 hours but I was charged for 9 Hours with only using the $113.00 per man per hour I was again told I was being charged. Then I asked why they shut off the furnace, his reply Safety I understand this should always come first, But why did they NOT turn it back on??? So I the received a call from the tenant that they had no heat, so I called an HVAC company that had to come out a flip the switch that was turned off by them and I had to pay them for that, I explained this to the owner and his reply well they might have forgot (yes that happens but why do I have to pay for that) never offered to pay for that or reduce the bill in any way, never even asked what can they do to make it right, the only thing he kept saying it cost what it costs and you have to pay. even thought the law in Wisconsin is clear for any service work provider(the buyer (me or you) must approve the work and the dollar amount before any work is provided) With technology as it is today and they had my cell a call , a text anything. I can go on but whats the point.

After dealing with Roto Rooter who told me I had a break in my main sewer line. Had building Waters come out for a second opinion. Using his camera he was able to assess that there was no break in the line. They saved me $8,000!! I will be using Building Waters for all future plumbing work. Building Waters was the first Plummer, out of three I called, that could give me a actual date and time that they could come to look at my dripping water behind my washing machine. I called late on a Friday afternoon after realizing my elderly parents had been out of hot water for a couple of days. The service we received from the initial call with Jill through the installation by Ted and Rob was excellent. This was late on a Friday afternoon probably when most installers would have been ending their shift. I purchased a power vent water heater which costs more than a standard water heater and two months later the FV sensor goes out. Wasnt home during the day to even know or call company during working hours and 9pm I find the issue. Wes on call tells me its $210 hour for over time rate to fix problem. I wasnt expecting to pay anything since it was two months old and still under warranty. Tech reports no around gas leaks and a faulty part. They charged me for 2 hours of travel and no labor and $95 for a $25 part. I called twice to look into this and have never heard a response back from Wes. I am incredibly disappointed.

Ted came out here to Burlington to do a home warranty replacement and install on my hot water heater. They replaced a 40 gal Richmond with a 40 gal Bradford White. He was extremely professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend these guys and have told my coworkers about my experience. Here within the Hour! Theyve replaced my Hot Water Heater, Sump pump and now the garbage disposal. Plus other problems thru-out the years. Prices are super reasonable! Ive been their customer since Wesley was a part time, one man shop. Now that hes expanded he hasnt skipped a beat with Fantastic service!
