I came in asking for general maintenance and for them to look at a battery acid leak. They only did an oil change without running any other service options by me, and they replaced the battery and charged me for it without running it by me or explaining what was wrong with it. When I tried to ask what was wrong with it, the person checking me out told me he wasn’t sure and that all the techs had gone home for the day, just that there was “definitely something wrong with it,” “it was an older battery” (but my car is from 2017?), and there was acid all over the battery… which, yeah, that’s why I brought it in. They also told me a part would cost $40-50 that a different location had quoted me for $8. Did not receive an itemized receipt. Will be looking for places with more transparency in the future.

Our Prius was in an accident with severe damage to the front end. The insurance company categorized the vehicle as a total loss, but we elected to keep and repair it. AC Auto quoted a prize $500 less than the insurance copy cash settlement, and they committed to having the car repaired within ten days.While the repairs took the entire ten days, AC Auto finished on time, and when they were done you could not tell the car had been in an accident. The front of the car looked wonderful; the paint matched seamlessly, and the car drove as good as it had previously with no drift or alignment issues. it has now been a month since the repair, and everything is working well.Very pleased. We have utilized AC Autos services three times (the other two were for minor issues), and have pleased with there service each time.

I drive from Milwaukee to come here. They are always super nice and professional and relaxed/flexible. It will be hard to find another place this trustworthy once I move further.

Havent had my car looked at yet so Im writing this review strictly off how quick and efficient ingot my car towed here. I am new to Racine so google car shops and chose this one off all the good review. Sitting in the waiting room drinking coffee comfortably in a recliner watching a nice size TV. I am waiting for the driver to come back and take me home,yes they even make sure you get home. So far Im loving the place and will update once I finsld out what is wrong and how much money I am out.

2020 Honda Civic sonic grey pearl- I had a mishap while removing a dealership decal on the back of my hatch. It cut through the paint and gouged the plastic body panel and was very noticeable. I talked with tony and with out batting an eye he gave me plenty of options to how to repair it and gave me honest labor times. He beat a competitors quote with out me even telling him what they were gonna charge. On the time of pick up I was very impressed. Amazed actually by the craftsmanship of their body guys. I couldn’t see where I gouged the panel and the paint was spot on. In total it took just 1 day and saved me A LOT time and money. If your even questioning on where to go. This has got to be your first choice. There’s nothing that beats a local repair shop that cares for their customers needs.

Best Auto Shop in town

AC Auto Body does much more than repair collision damage. I have had damage repair done here (twice), but also have had brake work, alignment, new tires, water pump replaced, and oil changes. The shop is always busy and it may be a day or two before I could get an appointment, but the prices are fair and the work was always done quickly and satisfactorily. If I have any work to be done that is not covered by warrantee, this is the first place Ill go to.

Heres my experience with AC auto body and repair.My car power window will not roll up. Bought a motor and regulator because I assumed that was the problem. Moved to Racine with no knowledge of the area, looked around, and put faith in them that they would be able to correctly install the motor and regulator I had brought them.Keep in mind I know next to nothing about power windows.Scheduled an appointment and came in with a new regulator and motor. I was greeted, gave my keys, and directed to the waiting room with water and coffee. Sat comfortably in the waiting room and was greeted by the very friendly manager. Though they had a lot of cars in their shop, I didnt waiting long. They were able to install the motor and regulator, however, the window still wouldnt roll up. They very friendly and were nice enough to1) Narrow it down and explain that the problem may be due to faulty wiring or a window switch.2) Recommend were I could get a new switch for my car3) Give me back my original regulator and motor(with the new ones installed, obviously)4) Take the time to diagnose and explain the real problem.I will be back to get my power window fixed as well as for regular tire rotations & oil changes. I suggest anyone reading this do the same. For someone thats been screwed over before by auto shops(and for anyone fearing the same), this shop is to be trusted 100%.

I have 03 VW Passat and the climate control went out. AC was the closet to my house Icalled and talked to Tony , He said he had a lot of cars that had to be fixed but he would fit mine in. All I can say is WOW!!! I wholeheartedly agree with all of the other people who have taken the time to post positive things about this business.This place rocks! Tony, the owner is a rare breed. He truly cares and does right by his customers. I have done nearly all of my own work on my cars, trucks, and motorcycles for my whole life. I decided to take my sons car in for an AC problem and was pleasantly surprised by Tony and his good old fashioned auto repair business. A real jewel in the heart of Racine. Their price was unbelievably fair as well.I drove from 30 miles away, and hauled a small motorcycle on the back on a car carrier. About half way there a strap broke and it came loose and dragged behind my vehicle doing some minor damage.I asked to borrow a tool to fix it, and they didnt even hesitate and jumped right in and helping me make a minor repair to be able to get back home on it. I brought my car in because I started having problems with my exhaust system/ muffler being too loud. I had originally taken it to a different place for an estimate of $1300 to get the exhaust pipe, muffler, and catalytic converter replaced. When I brought it here for an estimate they were honest with me and told me that my catalytic converter was in good condition and only the other two needed to get replaced, overall a $300 fix! They were able to schedule me in soon and got it fixed for me in a timely manner. I am very happy with the service they provided, Thanks Tony!

Excellent customer service. Brought my truck in because of an oil leak. They informed me i needed ball joints, upper and lower control arms. 2 new front tires. new lug nuts and studs. alignment, oil change. Turns out the oil leak was a loose oil filter. front pads and rotors. My truck is a 2001 and they took care of me and it. She drives like a champ. I couldnt be happier with the experience. Also i dropped my truck off and they took me to work after i dropped it off. Tony really takes care of his customers and has that old school no b.s attitude. I honestly believe if i would have had all that work done somewhere else they would have charged me almost double what a.c auto did.

I have been to AC Auto Repair a couple times in the past few months, and couldnt be more pleased with my experience. The mechanics are knowledgeable, quick and most of all honest. Which is very important to me as a woman who often times feels misled when I have visited other shops.

Awesome.. Hands down.. Car broke down after hours and tony had a tow there asap..i am not from the racine area but they were extremely busy but still had me on my way the next morning! A very nice place and reasonable pricing!!!

I simply could not be happier with the service I received. Upon viewing the damage, they immediately contacted a rental company because my vehicle was not street legal because of the damage. As the work progressed, more damage was uncovered but they kept me apprised their findings. The work done was exemplary and my car was pristinely clean when I picked it up.

I received a very fair price for fixing my vehicle, and was given a loaner to use while mine was being repaired.

Very knowledgeable and competitively priced mechanics. Their work is flawless and they are very upright.
