Dr. Catherine Ghaffari does an excellent job. She is caring and highly competent dentist. Never had any problems with the work she has done. Her office staff at times can have a little bit of an attitude, but mostly friendly and helpful. Often is hard to get through to schedule an appointment. Always have to repeatedly call.

They are all very nice people and do good. But they never answer the phone when you call to reschedule or schedule. I missed my braces tightening appointment cuz of transportation issues and been calling every day since no answer they left a voice mail and told me to call that number back and then that number is not answering

If I can give them 0 stars I would they Nevers answer the phone. Very hard to get any information about anything! I got my braces done by them and they would never answer the phone, I be missed one appointment and was trying to reschedule for MONTHS then when I finally got ahold they said I wasn’t a patient anymore and tried to take all my insurance money but didn’t finish the job on my braces. This place is ridiculous

They didnt catch that I had three infected teeth and 4 cavities a tooth broke off completely because they didnt do anything for it. Will never go here again.

I have an appointment coming up. Depending how that goes I will change this rating. For now I am going off my phone call to make the Appt. The woman on the phone was a little rude. She was just extremely short the whole conversation. She seemed annoyed that I called, anytime I didn’t hear her she repeated herself with an attitude. I even tried to say have a nice day when the call was over but instead of “you too” or something kind she just hung up very quickly. Maybe she was really busy but it was not professional at all! I know from working with people that sometimes you just have a bad day or whatever so I will most certainly change the rating if I have a better experience when I go there. For now I don’t have a great impression.

Just tried to schedule a general teeth cleaning appointment and the receptionist told me they no longer have a dental hygienist to complete the job? I cant wait to find a new office this place has gone so down hill over the years.

Great staff & Doctors were super informative and very helpful.I went to other dental offices before and they never relayed me some important information that I received here. They gave me an appointment within a week from my initial call and never had to wait long to be seen. Highly recommend.

Phone messages are never returned! I made arrangements for childcare, shoveled snow, drove to my 10am appointment, made it there by 9:45am only to find the doors locked and no one there. If they couldnt open because of the snow, although every business in that lot managed to open and on time, they should have informed me. I went here for cleanings a few times because they took my insurance. 3/4 times a woman who did my cleaning just randomly scraped a tool along the inside of each tooth and sprayed salt water on them haphazardly. The whole thing took maybe 2 minutes and was obviously useless if it did not cause more damage by scraping off enamel when she was scraping randomly for no reason.Then, I had to have two cavities filled in my back molars. These were my first cavities. They did it the same day and told me it would be ok. While they were drilling, I heard them telling me they were really deep but they didnt tell me anything else. I asked repeatedly if I needed to do anything and if there would be pain and they just said no and gave me no other information. I had extreme sensitivity that turned into severe pain over the weeks and months that I was told to wait it out. Then they could not get me in for an emergency appointment despite the website saying they have emergencies. So I waited for weeks with my teeth and jaw feeling like I had been bricked in the face, electrocuted, and smashed with a hammer until I eventually landed in the ER. I have no idea if the ER is going to send me a huge bill.I called again asking if they could get me in sooner and they said no. So, unable to wait another week, I tried calling another dental office. They got me in the next day and found that one of my molars they drilled was necrotic and the nerve was exposed. They should have told me there was a possibility and had me come back in right away when there was any severe sensitivity and pain. I was in agony for weeks and could have ended up with some severe infection that spread even further had I not given up on them when I did. The damage was so bad they had to inject me countless times with anesthetic to finish the procedure without unbearable pain.My dentist and the workers here were polite and nice and all. But, nice isnt enough when it feels like someone is smashing you in the face with a hammer and you have to go spend hundreds out of pocket to fix what they miss and to get in at a reasonable time. I will never go back.

Asked for same day dentures. Didnt get same day dentures cause apparently I was supposed to get impressions before extraction. No one informed me of this. Sedation wore off on me part way through procedure, they wouldnt do more, general anesthesia would of been better I guess. Apparently I have a natural tolerance to the sedation. Which means maybe just give me more.Hurt.Also seriously what do they expect me to eat for a month since they completely lied to me about getting same day dentures?

Omg!!!!!!! 2.8 is right. Through the year and a have my child had braces there Florida office kept calling me and mailing letters stating he has no insurance saying i owe all if this money when in fact he was covered. They do not communicate properly with staff and other offices at all. Very unorganized. Once my sons braces was off i happily found another dentist for my son. I am next for dental work but Katsur Dental are not on point with most things. What one knows the rest of the staff never know.Dont do it!!! Run!!!

Everyone in the entire office was so great! They helped me a lot and did a great job with my teeth. Actually is making me look forward to my next cleaning, highly recommended!

I can respect others opinions Ive read some of the reviews from the past and can only tell you my recent story. The staff was professional and courtesy. They accepted my Delta Dental HMO plan and gave me a great price for my new dentures. I was so happy with the price and cant wait to start smiling again. I was very satisfied with the service and hopefully with my new smile as well....... say cheese!! 😄😄😄😄😄

Terrible! The lady who cleans teeth is terrible! She don’t hardly spend 5 whole minutes on cleaning your teeth she does a horrible job with teeth hygiene! Unprofessional and will have you waiting hours to get a dental exam in those back rooms!

The staff gave me the wrong date for my son and when I bought him in on the date they gave me they turned him away and said he could no longer be seen at that officeThe office staff and doctors are by far the rudest people .Now for my other son was scheduled to have fillings done today so I had to miss a day of work in order to be able to bring him. I half to catch 2 buses to my sons school to get him a early dissmisal. Im currently on the second bus and the office calls me a hour before his appointment and tells me they need to reschedule. So not only did I miss a days pay that I cannot afford they want to him to wait a whole nother month to be seen againAgain the staff is very rude. They could care less that I had to miss workAnd lose a days pay.Why couldnt they call earlier and tell me to reschedule. I took my 4 year old for his first dentist visit to Katsur Dental in West View. They started out by attempting a cleaning. The machine scared him a lot and the cleaning was not able to proceed. Then the dentist attempted to count his teeth and check for cavities, but my son wouldnt let them because of the frightening experience he just had with the cleaning. The dentist offered to put a mouth guard in so she could check his teeth for cavities, which I declined - lets not traumatize the kid anymore in his 1st visit ! They attempted to brush his teeth with a fluoride treatment, but he was scared of the suction and swallowed the fluoride.This was a HORRIBLE first dentist experience. There was no easing into the process. I dont know how this dental office can claim they cater to cowards. On what planet would you start out with a cleaning for a 4 year old who has never been to the dentist before. Little kids need to be eased into the dentist experience - count their teeth first. Then try checking for cavities. Show them how to brush their teeth. Make it fun and comfortable, then try to give a cleaning last. I will not bring my son back here, and Im extremely angry that any subsequent dental visits are now tainted by this bad 1st experience.

Yesterday i went Katsur Dental with my 6y old son. The staff and the dentist, is very good and put me and my son to my best interest. We actually like the way we been treat there, my husband book an appointment for himself on the following week

Environment was dirty. Staff were all rude. Hygienist took two minutes tops to clean my teeth. Just scraped them and told me to leave. Also waited 1.5 hours in waiting room that was dirty. Would never return

Ive been going to Katsur for over 15 years, and I return back for my tteeth cleaning and check up and the dental hygienist who did the cleaning on my teeth went entirely too fast, tore up my gums and when i told her about it she tried to tell me it was my fault. She didnt clean my mouth out fully of scraped off gunk and blood. I had to spit out a mouth full of blood in their bathroom. Being 8 months pregnant i should not be swallowing blood and scraped off plaque and build up. I can say in over 15 years this is my first bad experience with them, and I am thoroughly dissatisfied.

We love going here my daughter and son love Brittany!! She makes there trip here for the orthodontist better for them she is patient and kind as well as fast which is good for 2 teens that arent very patient at all.

All the staff are so enjoyable and funny but they also get the job done. Brittnie is a joy and always makes me laugh while she’s doing my braces ❤️❤️

I went through today it was the worst experience in my life they tried to get a IV they poked me with a needle eight times cant get no IV so after they got all my money for all the doctor visits and then they get your money for all the x-rays then they have you come back for another visit to tell you they cant even get no IV and you are nothing so you have to go somewhere else they are very very unprofessional I would never go there I wouldnt even send my dog there anybody that has anything to do with dental do not go to katsur dental

I have been disappointed in the work of the woman that has been cleaning my teeth for the past few years. Each visit only lasted a few minutes and I never really felt that my teeth were clean. I actually started to pay out of pocket to have cleanings more that twice a year, because it was that bad.I cannot tell you how happy I was when Lisa Varner returned to the office. On my first experience with her (after several years), I was very pleased that she took the time to thoroughly clean my teeth. This is how it should be all the time. What a difference it makes when someone consistently provides exceptional service over and above what normally might be expected. I am very glad she is back and always look forward to my visits with her.

Im a freshman at Duquesne University. I lost my upper retainer and I needed to replace it asap. However, my original orthodontist is based in Philly, my hometown. I started to go to King Orthodontics, being that was the first company that came up when I search for local orthos, but they wanted $165 for the replacement. I am a college student, so that was a little steep for me. I then called Katsur and they charge $75. Much better. I was nervous because I saw all the other negative reviews but I had a very pleasant experience. They didnt give me a hard time for not initially being a patient with them, they gave me an appointment that worked around my my class schedule and I got my molds and retainer with no issues. I am happily wearing my new retainer as I type this, ha. Very pleased.

Very unprofessional from the front desk to the lady that works on your teeth! Smh I will never return to this GHETTO ESTABLISHMENT!

Dr. Van Miller is the worst in practice. DO NOT LET HIM WORK ON CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY ORAL PRACTICES. This man dismissed my business (PAID IN FULL) before completion. He left barbed wire to puncture my jaw and left my front tooth chipped, and the bottom row filed to a point. My teeth slide uncomfortably off each other every time I eat. The whole staff is rude, racist, and very disrespectful. I havent finished yet and the whole company keeps running in circles when I contact them about finishing what Ive paid to do. I behoove all of you to take your business elsewhere.

Horrible place!! It was a dirty place and when I got my teeth cleaned that was about a minute long no exaggeration and felt like the lady ripped my mouth out was a complete joke!!

Office staff and dentist is by far the rudest Ive ever met. I dont know how they can still be open with the way they treat people. If I treated patients in the office I work at they way I was treated the last 2 visits, Id be fired. Currently getting my records faxed and being seen at another office.
