VERY professional and friendly staff!! I appreciate their messaging via text, quite helpful.The office is clean and inviting. The staff is friendly, not just to customers, but also each other. You get the impression that they respect each other and I found that refreshing.I was comfortable. I had the option of a warm, vibrating chair and which channel I wanted to watch. It may be small to some folks, but it set the atmosphere for a relaxing visit. They moved quickly, not rushed or hurriedly, but efficiently.I will return and am spreading the word.

I have dealt with anxiety about the dentist my entire life and now I actually look forward to going to get my teeth cleaned! The atmosphere at Pittsburgh Dental Spa is calming and the staff is SO NICE. They have helped to ease my anxiety. Joni is my hygienist and she is amazing. So kind and calming. She does great work too! I leave feeling happy, not panicked and upset. Highly recommend!!

Just went today for a filling and Dr. Kelly was excellent!!! She was personal and she told me everything that was happening!!! I appreciate them so much, and I highly encourage The Pittsburgh Dental Spa. I live over an hour away and make the drive because it is totally WORTH it!!!

I can not say enough good things about this dental office. I never regularly went to the dentist until I started coming here. The office is so nice and has such a relaxing atmosphere which is amazing for someone who isnt a fan of the dentist. They are known for their sedation dentistry and they do not fall short with comforting anyone who has anxiety going to the dentist. I have never had an issue with scheduling an appointment, I have actually had them go out of their way to squeeze me in last minute. They send frequent text reminders about your appointments and they actually keep you up to date with knowing when to schedule your next cleaning and if you are over due. The best part about the place though is the staff. Every single one of them is unbelievably helpful and nice. Dr. Runco is a great dentist who is understanding and very gentle with his procedures. The hygienists that I have had are all very knowledgeable and make being at the dentist not suck as much as you would think. The front office staff is overwhelmingly nice and go out of their way to get you treated. Checking in and out is a breeze with them and they always fill your pockets with goodies when you leave. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Just walk into the office and you will see what I am talking about!!!

From the relaxing waiting room to the heated massage chairs, the TV on the ceiling & stacked goodie bags... every aspect Dr. puts his clients first. Joni, my hygienist tops it all off; she is kind, gentle & quick - I always end up laughing with her too!! Thankful to have found Pittsburgh Dental Spa & honestly always look forward to going back.

This dentist office has the best staff!! I recently had numerous crowns replaced and new ones added and could not be happier. I love the attention to detail every member of the team provides. When you call the dentist after hours and leave a message because your tooth hurts and they call you the next morning & have you come in right away so they can fix your problem, you are a lucky patient. I gladly drive 90 minutes from OH to come here. I will never go to any other dentist. The staff is kind and understanding and Dr. Runco is the best dentist I have ever been to and trust me, my mouth has seen a lot. That is why I will never go anywhere else. Tried to schedule an appointment. When the women answered the phone she very loud and bluntly told me to hold so I said okay. When she came back on the line she did not seem friendly at all. I accidently pushed the mute button on my cell phone so I was muted for no longer than 5 seconds. She hung up on me and did not answer when I called back. I will no longer be setting up an appointment with them.

Dr. Runco and the entire staff are all super friendly and make you feel comfortable. It had been 10 years since Id been to the dentist so you could say I had some anxiety. I ended up needing 4 fillings as well as a cleaning. I chose the oral sedation which was wonderful. They bring you to the relaxation room which smells wonderful. I dont remember the procedure at all. I actually fell asleep during it. If you have any anxiety about seeing the dentist, go here! Im no longer afraid!

I recently moved to Pittsburgh and desperately needed a good Dentist. I have always been apprehensive about going to the Dentist so this was no easy task. Then I found Pittsburgh Dental Spa!! All I can say is WOW! The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional and the care I received is second to none! They have massaging chairs, flat screen TVs on the ceiling, satellite radio, snacks, drinks, fireplace, waterfall, and even a relaxation room!! Its everything that you need to maximize your dental experience while keeping YOU in mind! I would recommend Pittsburgh Dental Spa to anyone who wants to take the anxiety out going to the dentist and receive top notch care! I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Tim and his staff and I no longer have apprehension about dentistry and Im actually looking forward to my next visit!!

Made several appointments for cleanings and they either dont have a call reminder like every other office...or they just dont care. I gave up after awhile

These are the best folks in the business. I have had a lot of work done and zero problems and super easy. I had a crown break off today that I had gotten from a different dentist some years ago. I called and they made room to see me in 30 minutes. Needed new crown and Dr Runco and his staff had me in and out in under and hour with old stuff out, temporary crown in place and back to my office for important meetings. I cant say enough good things about them - and this is the first review I have ever written for any service of any kind.

Loved it here. People were friendly. Havent been to the dentist in over 20 years...sad I know! I will say that the people were friendly. I felt like they did an amazing job and Dr. Runco is my dentist! Ill see him again in 6 months!!! :-D.

Dr. Runco and his entire staff are wonderful! You can tell that Dr. Runco is the type of dentist that is dedicated to his practice as well as knowing his patients. He has such a pleasant demeanor and listens to any concerns you may have. I will certainly continue to see him regularly and continue referring friends and family to him!

WOW! I am just in absolute awe of this incredible job well done. To be honest, I had a perfectly fine smile previous to this. As you all know, I am the lucky gal who gets to represent this incredible practice. Though my smile was perfectly acceptable, I can tell you that I suffered an accident years ago that caused trauma to two of my anterior teeth. They began to age and needed replacing so Dr. Runco and I decided to do the job right, go big or go home and crown 8 of my teeth. I experienced the nerves and uncertainty that anyone about to receive major dental work would. I can tell you from the first appointment all the way through today when my crowns were permanently placed they made it so easy. Dr. Runco makes you feel so comfortable and his entire staff is so talented, patient, gentle and fun. They keep you calm and relaxed. And the final results are AMAZING!!! I would NEVER let ANYONE else do this.. and I mean that. The level of trust I have for this place is through the roof. Thank you guys for this insanely gorgeous and flawless Hollywood smile!! BEWARE: Not a great experience at Pittsburgh Dental Spa. Had a root canal done roughly 2 years ago. I was sedated for the procedure. Instead of being a little drowsy for a few hours like I was prepared for. I was completely out from roughly 8am till 10pm. I couldnt walk or even stand on my own. My poor mother was there to drive me home, but had to spend the rest of the day trying to carry her 6 3 son from the car to our house and up a staircase. Im told this is a clear sign that anesthesia was administered irresponsibly. To make it worse. I continued to feel pain in that tooth. I went back to the Dental Spa and they assured me everything was done correctly with the procedure. Well.. .its 2 years later, and on Monday I began to experience a lot of pain around that tooth and my face began to swell. I went to another dentist and now I will be having a SECOND root canal on the SAME TOOTH Pittsburgh Dental Spa already worked on. Maybe it was my fault for going to a dental office in a strip mall... Not saying this is everyones experience but it certainly has been mine.

If more dentists and their supporting staff treated patients with the respect and kindness that Dr. Runco and staff does, I believe that most people would visit the dentist in the timeframe that they should, and no one would need sedation dentistry. I’ve visited Dr. Runco because I thought I would need to be sedated based on my past experiences. He assured me that he could get the job done without pain, but left any option further than that open to me without judgment if I wanted. I felt comfortable that I would not need to be sedated by his reassurance that he could numb me sufficiently (a problem I’ve had my entire life with dental work for whatever reason), and he was kind to my deficiencies (I have a tiny mouth and have always been scolded in the past by dentists that I need to open my mouth wider to work in.... when I’m doing my best) instead of being scolded, I was met with compassion and understanding.... which put me at ease and made the process entirely different than what I’ve ever encountered at a dentist office in the past.I would recommend Dr. Runco to anyone. Unparalleled kindness and breaks down the walls of what creates fear of dental work. Truly well done!!!

I have seen Dr.Runco for over 20 years. Would never see anyone else! Even my daughter who started seeing him at 6 years old and is. Now 18 refuses to see anyone but him.

Massage chair, wonderful people, huge water fountain in lobby, coffee, tea, water bottles, fire place, TV above every chair, it really is a spa, I never thought Id say I love a dentist office but I really do!!

I contacted the Pittsburgh Dental Spa to schedule an appointment to see what could be done about my teeth. I knew that it was unlikely I would have anything done, as I had been to 6 different dentists in the last three years. I have an anxiety disorder, and so my fears about going to the dentist became magnified in my mind. Every attempt I made at getting my teeth fixed was a failure. I would leave the office with promises of scheduling an appointment to return, and never would, or I would simply dart from the chair straight out the door. I was always in pain, sometimes with pressure and throbbing, other times with abscesses the size of golf balls. Still, I couldn’t bring myself to have my teeth taken care of.By the time I made my appointment with the Pittsburgh Dental Spa, I already knew that I would need two teeth extracted, a series of fillings, and at least two root canals. To be honest, the only reason I even made the appointment was because my husband put money into our Flex Spending Account at the beginning of the year, and we were at risk of losing it if we didn’t use it. Everyone at the office was extremely kind to me, even before they knew I was a runner. I was scared and anxious, but Elaine and Dr. Runco had a gentle (and humorous) touch when examining my mouth and developing a treatment plan. Much to my surprise and relief, Dr. Runco had decided that he would be able to fix one of the two teeth I expected would be extracted! I hated the idea of losing so many teeth at 25, so I was thrilled at the prospect of keeping it, especially since the last 3 dentists I went to said it needed to be pulled. I sat down with Elaine and created a treatment plan that satisfied both my fears, and my wallet. I left the office with prescriptions in hand for sedation, and an appointment for the following Monday to start my treatment plan. I was scared, but I knew I wanted and needed the work done, and I wouldn’t find a better dental office with more caring people.The morning of my dental work I was apprehensive, but the medication had taken the edge off. I was determined to go through with my treatment plans, and I trusted Teresa and Dr. Runco to take care of me. After taking the rest of my medication, I was pleasantly “out of it”, and I only recall little details like being covered with a blanket after stating I was cold, and Teresa letting me hold her hand while I fell asleep. When I woke up, my dental work was complete, my mouth was still numb and Teresa helped me out to my car, where my husband was waiting to take me home. I slept on and off for the rest of the day, and I was absolutely amazed that when I was awake, my mouth didn’t hurt at all, even after the novocaine wore off!If you read this and get nothing out of it, please know this: If you need dental work and you are afraid, ashamed or embarrassed; make an appointment with the Pittsburgh Dental Spa! The office is modern, inviting, and calming. The staff is amazing. I have never met a group of more competent, kind, and patient people in a dental or medical occupation. So do yourself a favor, and schedule an appointment, go and see! You owe it to yourself.

The only dentist office I will ever go to. Sedation equals no pain or anxiety.
