On July 30, 2021 I sent a completed application along with a $30 fee. NO ONE has answered me at all. Terrible service, feeling scammed! I am in another state trying to transition to Virginia Beach and this is the 2nd rental property that has taken my money and not a single word since.

Amazing apartment, lots of space. I have truly enjoyed living here. Staff is the absolute best and the beach is super close by. Would 100% recommend!

I have never been so happy living in the community.Officer stuffs are maticulously professional, always helpful in very cheerful manner.The apartment is unbelievablely spacious and opened feeling. All the appliances are easy to clean. I love the beautiful hardwood flooring.The laundry room is kept neatly and washers and dryers are up to date, super efficient.The beautiful BEACH is like your backyard.It is so close to the beach(100 steps?)It is very quiet, I rarely see tourlists.It is so therapeutic to be at the beach.I am so glad I found the beach house apartment.

I actually started out in another building where the situation was not ideal (I get up very early & the guy above me was a night owl) and Liz helped me to move to a different building they manage. Thanks to her assistance my living situation is now perfect & I could not be happier. I’m allowed to have my two dogs (which is amazing!) and the staff is always accommodating and super friendly. The apartments are well-priced and any concern/issue you may have is investigated immediately. The staff is working hard to make sure the tenants feel appreciated.

I moved here about a week ago and the application was very easy and efficient. The viewing of the property was very detailed and informative which led me to the decision to move. Won’t regret my decision, the staff are amazing and we’re a great help. You can count me in on staying another year.

We have lived in these apartments for over four years now. Last year the properties were purchased by a new property management company and things have really improved! The wait time for maintenance has been greatly improved and the overall feel of the apartments is better.

Ocean View West Apartments made our transition so smooth and easy. Liz is wonderful and helped us in so many ways. I cant begin to thank her enough. Hands down 5 stars!

I am moving there with my daughter the first week of Feb. Liz , the manager, couldnt be any nicer or more helpful. We are very happy to have found such a nice apartment home that welcomes our pets as well.

Wow, what a dump! I’d give this place negative stars if it I could, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve lived here for about three and a half years and I’ve had enough! It wasn’t that bad when I first moved it, and since I couldn’t afford to pay more for anything better I figured it wasn’t worth moving. But this place has gone way downhill since then. The building is infested with roaches and mice, even though I keep my apartment very clean. Maintenance had sprayed pesticides but it’s not working.The parking lot is also a hot mess. About a year ago they had to tear up the pavement in the parking lot to fix a water main and when the work was done they simply filled it with dirt. They were supposed to repave the lot and repaint the lines but that never happened, so people just park wherever, and the dirtbags that live here don’t have enough moral integrity to leave a note when they scratch your car in the lot. I’ve had my car scratched three times since I’ve lived here and nobody ever leaves a note.In short, I’m so incredibly fed up with living here and as soon as my lease is up I’m leaving!

Moved here about 6 months ago. Nice area with beach access, friendly neighbors and quick response times for maintenance. A bit on the smaller side, but manageable. All in all good place for the price and location.

I’ve been living here for 6 months now. Moved in from out of town. Liz was great and very helpful with the application and emailing pictures and documents since I wasn’t able to visit before moving In.

Been with this company for almost two years I haven’t had any issues with getting anything fixed they are very understanding and try to help in any way possible management is great!

Ive lived here since October 2016, when John Hadjikakos/Boardwalk Realty owned the property. Liz, Terry, and the rest of the staff of this Brick Lane LLC property have performed great maintenance, been of excellent service to tenant inquiries, and reliably present when needed the most. :-). Along with my Calico Cat, Virginia, I recommend the properties Brick Lane LLC owns along West Ocean View Avenue in Norfolk to anyone seeking efficient, reliable, and tenant oriented service for their residency needs.

I have lived in these apartments for 5 months and so far i love it. The quality and of the apartments is impeccable, it really helps create a cozy environment. Liz is a great manager and really does everything she can to help you and really shows effort and care in her job. All maintenance requests were swiftly resolved and were super nice and efficient in their work. My only issue was my weird A/C unit that was temperamental and after a few fixes the root cause was found and havent had any issues since. The apartments are super efficient too, granted I havent seen the summers here and how much the electricity bill will go up with A/C all day every day but with this temperamental weather and so far my ac has been set for almost a month, this energy bill was a around 78 dollars, i have LED lamps and the lights in the apartment were already LED so im sure that helps too. another great thing is this place is close to the beach so sitting by the water is super easy and has been my retreat sometimes, Also this place is dog friendly!For cons, which im not gonna blame the apartment for-the front of the apartments where the sand is often smells like pure urine (the dogs and cats seem to run to the sand instantly, i try to keep my dog away from it since i dont wanna contribute to it but sadly yesterday my long streak of not contributing ended when my dog just decided to not walk a few more steps into the grass lol)-the laundry room is no longer 24 hours which I understand, probably some sort of security reason behind it or it can be nuisance but i enjoy doing my laundry at night (again not a apartment killer)-The parking can get a bit annoying with the limited space but I havent had a day so far where I cant park anywhere.-Like any other apartment the walls can be rather thin (definitely not the worst ive experienced this is actually one of the better ones). But id recommend a second floor apartment if you can, i can hear every step and pitter patter from the tenant and dog upstairs (not their fault, just sucks sometimes but hey it is an apartment right?!)
