We had an MC2102 that was in Desperate need of a face lift and refresh, searched a few shops in the Texas area that did Mcintosh repair, and unfortunately wasnt thrilled about shipping it anywhere or driving 2-3 hours away to get it serviced. Bammel TV does great work! Polite, Responsive, takes there time, and is in constant communication during the process. Keep in mind when you have a unit like this repaired its not a quick process, but They made it worth the wait!We will definitely use them again, and glad we found some new friends we can send our Clients too!Cheers!DEFINE Audio VideoThe Woodlands Tx, 77380

I was a bit hesitant to drop off my equipment to this store with whom I have never done business. These people are awesome! They are quick to analyze the issue and get back with me with results and cost estimate. I wouldn’t call it an estimate but rather an exact cost projection. From one VERY skeptical person (who doesn’t do reviews often), to any others, I HIGHLY recommend Bammel TV for any of your AV repairs.

I wouldn’t recommend these people to repair an amplifier. I took my Rockford Fosgate t1500 to them a few months ago after it overheated and after a week of them having it, they called and asked for more money for parts to fix it. So now that it’s been $250 spent, they never even bothered to call me back until I left multiple voicemails for them only to tell me that their tech, which is apparently, “one of the best in the world” couldn’t do anything to repair it. They could have at least called me to tell me this when they had come to this conclusion.

My relatively new Yamaha home audio receiver lost sound for Zone 2. I saw that they were an authorized Yamaha repair facility, and I think the only one in Houston. I talked to John over the phone before I brought it in, and understood there would be a non-refundable diagnostic fee which would be applied to the total invoice (this part seems to be overlooked by many reviewers). They fixed it ahead of schedule, which was appreciated. John was very professional and made me feel like a valued customer. Ill be coming back here for any future electronic repair needs.

$125 diagnostic fee. Took 10 days to call and give me a $500+ estimate to replace a projector part. Oh...they also said there could be more issues along the way. You waited 10 days to tell me that? I of course say no thanks I’ll pick my projector up and they say they need time to put it back together and that they would call me. Over TWO WEEKS go by before I myself decided to call...and lo and behold..it was just sitting in their shop ready for pickup and I never received a call. The manager John said it wasn’t a “high ticket” fix and that they would “barely have broken even” on the repair. If you enjoy wasting time AND money, this place is for you!

My experience with this business was a F nightmare! I wanted to get my equipment serviced outside of Miami. Bamel did a fantastic job fixing my Moms stereo a year ago. It could be dealing with them long distance but someone who has been in business since 1979 should be awesome and know how to ship without charging $100 to box it. I sent in 4 items and there was going to be twice as many. I cannot say that they are rude, the staff is nice but dysfunctional. I spent about $500 just sending it there. I had the UPS store here pack it, they said it does not require a double box per UPS regulations. It showed up fine to the Bamel. The repair was slow and that was ok. Not sure how they packed it but it arrived back in worse condition than when I sent it. Everything had some issue s Some of the items did not even turn on. One item was a cassette changer, they were going to charge me with extra to buy one for parts because my part was not fixable. I bought a working one and had it sent there to clean up . It worked when it got there and somehow it broke while it was in their hands. They did refund what they charged me. I paid to have all the damaged items repacked and sent back and I will acknowledge that they did pay to send the items back to me 3 of the 4 items required more repair, they forgot to send me back my cords. I called that place so much I had it on speed dial. Not a good experience at all. I will not ever take anything to them. Someone who has been in business since 1979 should be better at repair and shipping.

Bammel TV failed to take care of their customer. They present themselves as a customer friendly family business, however they are just one of those types of businesses with bottom line to squeeze as much money as they can from their customers. They tell you on the phone the repair work is going to be minimal excluding their expensive diagnostic fee. But, once they have you with your equipment, cost of repair rises.I refused to accept the additional cost of repair, even though they tried three times to negotiate the additional cost of repair, because it was much much higher than what they had told me on the phone to replace the failed part. Which, by the way, I told them exactly what part has failed and there was nothing else to diagnose. I accepted the fact that I will be losing my advance payment of over $100 diagnostic fee made to them without getting my equipment repaired. If I had known, what the final cost would be, I would NOT have taken my equipment to Bammel TV and spent a dime for it.Bottom line, make sure you ask them, Bammel TV, to tell you how much it is going to cost you to repair your equipment before you drag your equipment to them. Do not trust those who say bring it to them and they will tell later. At that point, it is too late and you have lost money and many days out of your time.

I asked, whats the time line or should I just count my losses? No! Its worth fixing the dude said. Then said I have to pay $60 to have it looked at and the money would go towards my repair. Bammel TV gave me a bill enough to add $100 and buy a new one almosta week later. Clearly all they wanted was the $60 knowing fully well it was never COST EFFECTIVE!!! Stay away!!!! TERRIBLE PLACE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!!! I Brought my tv in for a main board repair and after a month in a halfway of waiting it never was repaired. I was calling once a week and they originally ordered the wrong part i waited two weeks for that. Then they called me to tell me that that same part would be 70 dollars more from another vender. Ummmm ok after i told them that was ridiculous they told me ohh well we can fix it. I call a week in a half later they said its almost complet, by the way im the had to call them they claim it was because of covid-19 i dont understand how that would affect tv repairs but whatever. Then they call me a couple days later saying it couldnt be repaired and i would only be refunded for 40 bucks for the 90 main board part i purchased which i checked on different places online it was no more than 20 bucks. I didnt argue over the phone i get there and the guy i guessing is the owner was passive aggressive with his answer when i questioned him. Then he got upset when i told him the part was only 20 bucks and i asked for the part and he claimed they returned it already and he said i can only get 45 from the 135 i paid and either get out or he will call the cops. Just know when you go here they will upchared you on parts amd claim its capitalism rhe reason. Great small businesses just know your gonna get ripped off when you come here and even if it get repaired it probably take forever.Small up charge on parts lol try 200% thats not how business works you make money on repairs not unchanging customers on parts and lie and say the company you purchased the parts charged a 50% restocking fee and they dont because i called them and they dont. Another missleasing lie if you brought a car to a mechanic to get a diagnosis and it never get diagnosed and then the mechanic try to charge you for parts and labor like they completed a job would you want to pay for that??? Absolutely not! For all i know he just opened up the TV and said he did it. I also got the tv repaired at a different shop and it was just the main board which he claimed wasnt the problem. I will be filing a civil suit when the courts open back up.

I dropped off a Line 6 Helix guitar effects processor at the recommendation of the manufacturer who said they were the local service center. This was on March 23rd, on May 10th I received a call stating Line 6 had decided not to warranty the repairs and I needed to pay a $45 diagnostic fee for a repair estimate - for something they had already diagnosed as a bad DSP board. I reluctantly paid the fee and a few days later received a phone call stating it would be over $200 for the part and $130 for the labor. I declined the repairs fortunately, because I called Line 6 back and they sent a warranty repair shipping label to me and explained it was in fact a warranty issue and would be repaired for free. My assumption is they get paid more for out of pocket repairs than warranty work so they figured they would make someones daily wage off of me. I would not recommend them not only for their business practices, but also timeliness, and as others have said, they are rude.In response to Johns reply, had he not charged me $45 for a diagnostic fee on something he had already diagnosed, I probably wouldnt have left an unfavorable review, or any review for that matter. As for being rude, it was wither you John, or Jeff, who in our initial phone conversation, where I described the problem that occurred with a style of connection simply stated well, just dont hook it up like that. I dont recall which one of you it was because its been months. This was one of many dry comments that really made it seem as though it was more of a burden to repair this than you wanted to deal with. As for the fee, John, it was again either you or Jeff, and I who discussed this over the phone when I reluctantly paid it. Whomever it was gave me a sob story about having to cover costs, business being slow right now, etc. I was patient, never called to inquire about the repair and always waited for you to initiate contact, so its not like I was bugging you to get it back quickly. The bottom line is had you put $45 worth of effort into your initial dealing with Line 6 you would have found it didnt matter where, or when it was purchased because it was a factory defect. This was actually something you and I discussed up front and I provided supporting documentation from Line 6. This was solely a money issue which you made blatantly apparent in our phone conversation. You simply didnt expect me to leave a bad review.

I was very pleased by that, of course, but more pleased with how well it plays now. Its like new! This was all-around a great experience! They said two IC’s were burnt out. Cost was $20. Labor now was $65 with tax another $92.01. I took unit home and it didn’t even work. Same problem as before. I called and they said bring it back. Now I live 54 miles from Bammel location so I took it back again. Now after I spent $337.22 they tell me come back and get my unit as it is unrepairable as coils may be the problem and they are obsolete and they will refund me $72.01. I have a Sony Micro Hi-Fi Component System. CMT-HP7. Has radio, 5 cd changers, and tape player/recorder. Ive had it for many years. The cd stopped working. I was lucky to find Bammel TV after making so many calls and being told they did not work on old system. Bammel TV repaired my system and it works beautifully. I am grateful. I highly recommend them.

I had an old console stereo that belonged to my grandparents that hadn’t worked in probably 20 years when I inherited it. I had no idea if it could even be repaired, but the wonderful folks at Bammel TV have it playing like new! They had to replace a lot of it and it took a while, but they were wonderful and kept us updated on the progress and cost. Couldn’t be happier!

Every time my cassette recorders quit working, the only place I take them is Bammel. These units are notorious for broken belts and other failures. They have also done repairs on my vintage VHS player-recorder. Bammel always diagnose the problem quickly and notifies me of the issue and what it will cost before doing any repairs. I trust them with all my equipment and would recommend them to anyone having any problems with any electronics. Bammel also has pre-owned equipment for those looking to find bargains. Bammel is my go-to place for my electronics.

After many years of faithful service, my Technics receiver/amplifier showed a strange error code - that there was a short in my speaker wires. After troubleshooting, no short was found which told me that something else was wrong. A web search for electronic repair facilities led me to Bammel. They were able to determine the fault in a timely manner and advise what it would take to make the repair and the time frame needed to get the part. The repairs were completed as stated and the unit is back home working perfectly.

Bammel TV is an absolute rip off! Called to see if they could diagnose a fuzzy projector. They said they could and charged their fee. Then they said Casio is the only place that can do repairs. I had them ship it to Casio and when it arrived two of the holes for the screws were cracked. That was NOT the case when I dropped it off. I believe they broke it MORE. And they obviously didnt refund me. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I will add photos when I get a chance. Save your money and go somewhere else.

TOTAL RIP OFF! DISHONEST BUSINESS! I took a speaker in for repair, already knowing that the tweeter needed replacing, already knowing that the current tweeter was no longer in production and two new tweeters would be needed for the speaker pair so that sound quality would match, already knowing that the cost for the new tweeters from the manufacturer would be $250 which included shipping, and already knowing that the replacement wouldnt take any longer than 15 minutes to complete. I was charged a $98 non-refundable diagnosis fee for them to tell me what I already knew, and then they wanted to charge me $390 for the tweeters and another $200 for labor if I was to replace both. To top it off, they didnt even suggest replacing both tweeters, but originally wanted to charge $500 just to replace one without even mentioning that it included the purchase of two tweeters. Anyone familiar with high end audio should know that tweeters need to match in order to obtain optimum sound quality; I wouldnt trust Bammels work if they arent even familiar with this basic information. Im inclined to assume that their intention was to pocket the second tweeter without ever telling me I had paid for two. When I asked if I could just buy the tweeters myself, knowing I could get them for $250, and then just pay for the installation, John brusquely told me that I HAD to buy the tweeters through him and there was no compromising on the $140 markup. He then sarcastically told me that if it would make me feel better he would charge $250 for the tweeters and then just increase the labor charge by $140. I have never experienced such rudeness from a service provider in my life!I decided to not have them do the repair, then went to Car Stereo Max down the road where they agreed to install the new tweeters (which I will purchase myself fro $250) for $30. Its sad that I already paid Bammel $98 for doing nothing, but at least Im not going to let them rip me off any more than that!

My video receiver suffered a power surge that fried many components during Hurricane Harvey. Bammel TV fully restored it quickly and had it ready when they said they would. Very pleased.
