Why would u guys run a fire alarm test at 6 am? Cant pay the rent there’s always new management. No one will fix any broken stuff that was here before the apartment. Fridge leaking, noisy parties all night. No one answers phone.

Lived during different management, they have changed ownership and now seems to be improving. The previous management had unfairly charged us and was not adjusting our deposit. Luckily new management is helping us recover our deposit.

Needs work on the exterior and hall areas. The office workers are not aware of their own website and specials. The phone constantly rings and nobody answers. The office hours are all over the place.

Shared Feed:Affordable, Spacious, and Quiet! I just came from a place that smelled like weed, loud neighbors partying all night, and nobody picked up after themselves and this place is a little gem compared to that! Office staff is very friendly hard working people and im not planning on moving from here till I get a house.

I have received mail stating I owe money after I moved out. I came into the office and paid with a money order to chris, the manager at the time. Collections contacted me stating I owe money and I contacted Chris at the time and chris has emailed management multiple time stating I do not owe any money and to resolve my issue. I have emailed proof and if I can get a hold of chris the manager at the time he could even vouch for me that i do not owe any money and the union needs to own up to it. Im actually about to take the union to small claims court for causing me trouble, time out of my day, headache, for ruining my credit and the cost the collections wants me to pay.

Nice and quiet place to call home. Theres always room for improvement getting maintenance requests fulfilled has been a struggle but were working through it other than that its very comfortable

Office staff unconcerned with running apartment complex. Rent has Doubled over six years with no improvement on property. Parking policy changed radically with minimal notice, is unevenly enforced. Have seen people passed out drunk in hallways multiple times. Pool was uncleaned all summer, water changed color from clear to white. Office no longer accepts packages. Water service was intermittent for months due to poor repairs. Have had two murders within a mile, multiple robberies, neighborhood is a demilitarized zone. Rent never stops going up.

This place is still horrible, dirty, and now there is yet another drug dealer living in our building allowing his customers to come to the property on a consistent basis. The last time we went through this there was a raid, with squad cars and assault rifles. I was not allowed to enter my apt and once I was I was not allowed to exit! This little sting operation went on for 3 hours, management didnt even address it! STAY AWAY, YOU CAN DO BETTER!

I called last Wednesday to make an appointment to view an apartment. We agreed on 2pm the next day. I showed up at 2pm and there was a sign on the door saying they will be back at 12:15. The door was locked and no one was inside. I waited an hour...no one showed up. I then called and left a message describing the situation...no return call ever.I ended up calling them back because I liked the location, and set up another showing for the following day. They told me they definitely had studios available, which was what I was interested in, only to come in to find out that they rented the last one the night before.Dont bother with this place. The management cant even be there for a showing or return your call when you are treated poorly by them. The lack of professionalism is disturbing.

Didnt have any major issues. Apartments are fairly sound proof. We used to find parking all the time, but there is limited parking recently. We are moving because of commute, but it is next to a park and ride so if you are able to take the bus its not too bad. Pool is kind of small and laundry rates have gone up when the quality hasnt improved. The dog area is fine, but feel unsafe without lights. All in all it was a safe affordable quiet neighborhood.

There was domestic violence situation, alot of yelling through the halls of building! Kids running through the halls!Things have settled down. I was not expecting all the noise. Looking for better days ahead!

Generally ok, but every so often you hate living here.A couple of neighbors in the community are nightmares. Theres the very occasional domestic screaming or partying at 3 am on a Thursday (and its not even from upstairs, the sound comes from the downstairs). Someone pulls a fire alarm every few weeks in Summer/Fall. Gremlins leave food remnants in hallways or make a mess in the laundry room. Theres a lack of neighborly decency in this community.Interior: Finishes inside were simple and clean, best selling point was the flat cooktop in my unit. Bathroom lighting is pretty dim. Really thin walls, you hear every unit around you and thundering in the halls... I rather them not use the scent machines in the halls, I feel it just make everything worse.Community: The gym is bizarre, its on the second floor above the leasing office and right next to someones apartment. Courtyard is good for children but can get noisy on warm afternoons. Never wanted to use the pool nor seen it used.Office: Nice/inviting office and kind staff. However, I am very irked by loads of fees within the lease contract. (1) $250 non-refundable admin fee, where is this even going? (2) $250 holding deposit was never returned to me or applied to rent (3) $250 security deposit which was used up AND MORE for their base cleaning. (Note: I left my apartment pristine, but I understand there are costs for professional cleaning. So really its just the non-refundable admin fee that bothers me. Why wouldnt you just have a $500 security deposit...)Overall, its like living at a college dorm, but youre not invited to the late night parties.

Horrible people. They don’t care about thier tenants. They only care about money. They give no breaks and hide behind rental law. Money thieves. Not only that, but the neiborhood is horrible. They will slowly increase your rent until you leave.

Notes should have been placed on affected residents doors advuadvi them of the water pipe issue that affected their building. It would have been nice to get an update / notice that the issue was being addressed but not resolved.

UNSAFE OVERPRICED AND DISGUSTING1. They only clean up the place when they have important people coming to show the property to2. Management and the head maintenance guy with the beard is the biggest joke3. Wash and dryers are disgusting (your clothes wont even smell clean.. save your money and time go to a laundry mat where it’s atleast clean)4. I don’t see how they get away with charging for rent that high when the living conditions are that disgusting and everything breaks5. The buildings fire alarms go off twice a week (apartment does no follow up with the community to reach out and explain what’s going on)FPI management runs this company which they are poorly rated by hundreds of renters (check BBB website reviews) these people don’t care about providing safe or clean living conditions...they only care about your $$$Do some research before moving in here or into any FPI management owned properties

I got this apartment because I desperately needed a place to live and I regret it fully. Parking is a nightmare. I had to go in once a week for over 6 MONTHS until I finally was able to get a paid parking spot. Every time I went in trying to get one they told me to come back in a couple days, or a week and I always did and it still took over 6 months... The walls are VERY thin. My first week here I could hear my neighbor snoring on the other side of the wall. Yes... snoring. The hallways are dirty 95% of the time and smell either like wet dog or like someone just got done smoking a blunt with bad weed. Or both🙄 They will occasionally clean the staircase and halls but it isnt very often and even after cleaning it the smell NEVER goes away. I spray my own fabreeze outside my apartment just so I dont have to walk outside my door and get a whiff of the lingering smell. Oh and did I mention that none of the windows are insulated? Yeah, my apartment is freezing cold because I have a studio here and the only place for my bed is right next to a window that is not insulated at all. I had to order curtains to put over my other curtains that came with the apartment just so when I turn my heater on my heat actually stays IN my apartment. I do not recommend living here.

This place is run by slumlords our apartment has a window and door problem the windows and doors do not seal and there is a serious moisture build-up problem the bedroom window is white because all of the seals are gone we constantly have to put towels down on the window seals and on the floor in front of the sliding glass door to soak up water they sent their window guy out and he reported that it was not a problem the maintenance crew has nicknames for everyone in the complex and calls the lady that lives above us the tweaker lady when she climbed up the side of the building they didnt do anything about it they allow able to park junk vehicles for months on end in their parking lot theres constantly people yelling and fighting in the parking lot and the office will not do anything about it the pool has not been open in over a year and they still use that as a selling point when renting to people it is nearly impossible to get a call back when you leave a message and the office rarely answers their phones when you talk to their corporate office they are short and not friendly at all and refused to work with people that pay their paychecks

BED BUGS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> completely infested.... they have been spraying in my unit for over a year and the problem seems to get worst and worst.. they are coming out the walls, from apartment to apartment. coming out of fixtures and its inhabitable!! . new management is awful and instead of fixing the issue they decide their going to paint the entire complex twice in one summer buy new signs and fake plastic balloons to try and make the place look better but the proof is in the bed bugs..... a large group of residents are currently petitioning to have the problem dealt with but management just dose not even care...

Not sure how Im going to make it to the end of my lease here. Hall ways are never cleaned because its so pet friendly??? I imagine the pets are enjoying all the massages theyre leaving each other on the carpet. Maybe thats why theyre not getting cleaned to ensure no massages are lost. I dont know I dont have a pets.And you know what you need when youre single, management posting some noncense on your door that has nothing to do with you. Im guessing they want to be trendy as in we can do fake news too. Dear valued resident as in the paper work has mounted to the point where I no no longer know who leaves here anymore. Im just going to throw some $h!# out there and see if anything sticks.Me: What is all this it has nothing to do with meManagement: Did I do thattttt?????Its my fault really, I told myself how bad can it youll save some money, but now that Ive discovered shared Laundry rooms and their comment to making Outbreak the move a real thing.... They may not be an apartment ready for you to view but ask to see the laundry rooms, in all the buildings.Moral of the story, my make a mistake, I know better so I have no one to blame but myself. Im getting some good stores though, parents if youre looking for your teenagers theyre in the laundry room. And I know what youre thinking but they never help me with the laundry???? Like I said, Im getting some great stories.

Living here was the worst experience Ive ever had.I was originally told I had 5 days to pay rent, was then charged a late fee, and told I only had 4 days. They did correct this after dealing with the office, however applied my payment to someone elses account. This resulted in numerous calls threatening eviction, including a written notice on my door, despite follow up conversations after each call/ notice.I specifically inquired about visiting pets at the time of viewing prior to move in and was informed as long as the pet was not there longer than 7 days it was not an issue. When my B/Fs dog came over, I received a 10 day notice to resolve the issue or vacate the property. They continued to harass me about adding this dog to my lease that did not live there, and would not be returning.Coming to the end of my 6 month lease, my rent increased $160.Upon move out I was informed any remaining utility balances would be taken out from my deposit. Im now receiving collection calls 3 months later in regards to a balance I was never informed of. They had received a forwarding address and had since sent me a letter stating the remaining balance of my deposit that would be sent back, but I never received. EDIT: while looking into this collection balance, I discovered they correctly did deduct the final utilities from my deposit and had still sent me to collections.The community itself it awful. If you arent listening to screaming kids outside, you are listening to your neighbors below you screaming at each other. Noise from the hallways carries into your apartments, and you are always waiting to use a washer/dryer.

By far one of the worst places to live. I have pictures from my very first move in date . They had roaches and must of forget to vacuum up the dead roaches they was everywhere! upon even signing my lease my sign i asked if they had roach problems . They told me no . Well that was a lie . 3 days after move in there was BIG live roaches crawling around on the walls . They sent a company to come take care of the problem but that didnt work either. They are always quick to over charge you and make it seem like you are the one tripping until you prove that you are not supposed to pay the extra fees. I lived here for a whole year and had problems every month getting over charged. Now i had a DV situation and asked them to move buildings and they told me they will get back to me . here comes the 10th (which is the day i am supposed to give my notice) but I WAS TOLD by Morgan on the 9th that she is going to talk to cooperate and see if i can move . On the 24th of June she reached out to me via email to tell me that i can but with a higher deposit . Now why would i do that . I did not feel safe nor was i going to try and stay there so i started searching elsewhere . on June 20th I got great news that i was approved at a new place where me and my kids would be safe and out of harms way. Mind you at the time i was 4 months pregnant . Per Morgans email i was ok with verbal notice and email notice . I also went my no contact order and everything else that was needed. I reached out to them time after time to see if i had a balance. Than yesterday i got a call from a debt collection agency saying i owe the Union apartments. She looked into details and i was being charged for NOT giving notice for moving WHEN I DID IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH after i stated we are not safe unless we switch apartments. and a few other fees . I will not be dropping this as this was a DV situation , i have talked to a lawyer and i am taking this to court because i have emails and written documents about me being in a DV situation .. They pretend to be amazing but are def the worst apartment complex ever . It takes days to even fix something around the apartment or inside . In B building (or 2nd building) the alarm kept going off . from 2:00 am to 4am we stood outside while the fire department had to figure out what was going on . This happened multiple of times . I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all . They charge for everything and rent continues to go up . Be careful . Ashley seems nice but does not give a hoot about anyone problems . They charged the wrong person with all the legal help im getting for my DV they will see this was a serious situation .

Update: 12/6/17First of all, Thank you to Danielle for accommodating us today, both Val & I appreciate that from you.As for ASHLEY-Office Manager “AND” ERICA-Leasing Consultant you both honestly need to receive additional customer service training. You are both very impolite folks. ERICA, I would suggest before providing customers with information you should honestly make sure you have all your facts together. To top it off, if you are wrong “admit it” and nonetheless good customer service is “going above & beyond” to help people not hanging up on them. I hope your corporate office plays back the phone recording. That would surely be proof of how rude you were. Now that you know, an issued check made payable with and “AND” was not as ok as u mentioned and was not as ok to just walk in to the bank and cash it. I am glad that I was able to return to your office for you to witness with your bare eyes the situation between your corporate office & the bank.Making a client wait for refund check as long as Ashley did because of poor communication on her end and you giving us the hassle of running around was unappreciated. We decided not to go with them and lost out on our application fee (no fuss) we lose and we learn. Although, the cancellation was since the 25th of Oct and we are still expecting back our refund for the “deposit” portion we also made payable to The Union. We were informed by Ashley-Office Manager that the refund check request was processed on Oct 25 (same day) of the cancellation. On a follow up call I made regarding status of our refund check we were informed by Danielle-Leasing Agent that it would take 2 weeks for the check to arrive at their office. We were then informed on another follow-up call that the check was finally mailed out on Nov 9th (mind you, all these two individuals have been doing is providing us with excuses after excuses) and now they both claim it is out of their hands. To date, now 2 days shy of one whole entire month and the ongoing excuses provided by these employees of The Union Apartments, our money has still not been refunded to us. I am in hopes that this review would be of great help in ⚠️warning potential tenants before proceeding with such a place, and I feel really bad 😞 for their current tenants who have been treated in similar ways of money matters. Im still deciding....but lately theres been trash or goodwill chillin in my buildings hallway, by the way it was less than that. The laundry room, i dont know what is going on but they had cleaners one day mopping it and the next its still closed. Have to go over to the next unit over and under and pray there is an open washer. They left notices on a few units (mine included) and didnt securely enclose them to protect our privacy like a professional..Nope! Just let my business all hang out there for the world to see. By the way, they just got new mgmt two days after we moved in and there was like 12 people but havent seen them since so i guess training for other properties? They did clean the carpets and disinfect the gross smell in our buildings hallway so thats a plus.Update: Since my last review I noticed they have actually changed trash in hallway, sent sealed envelopes, and the laundry room has been opened and functional. Hallway smells like fresh laundry now, which is a good thing.

Terrible place to live. Dont bother. They demand rent for next month before its due if you are late in the current month. How can anyone afford that? We are going to lose our home at this point because of this. The unit was not properly turned when we rented. They locked us out of our resident portal when we were late for rent so we could not communicate with office staff or maintenance. We were told there was a washer dryer site on each floor when we toured the place and there wasnt. It should have been a red flag when the manager showed us the unit that was open when she couldnt locate the laundry room until we walked all the way down to first floor. It was a struggle to even get into this place right when we started in December of last year because the office staff not once but twice quoted us incorrectly for the size unit we would be renting and forgetting that we had a pet. We didnt find this out until 3 days before we moved in when we brought them money orders for our move. We almost had no home the day of our move had it not been for a family member.We want to break our lease. The stress of this place is not worth it. Ashley is the rudest women I have ever had the privelage of meeting and dealing with. While I understand what her job is that does not give her the right to be disrespectful to my family.They cant even manage to put the correct dates on paperwork that they nail to our door for the whole world to see. They could at least put it into our mail box instead of broadcasting our person buisness for all our neighbors to see. Most of the time its on the floor outside our apartment not even folded or taped closed. I find that to be a huge violation of our privacy.Last week a woman was by a speeding car right infront of our apartment. It was a very horrible thing to see not to mention the screams. A drug deal went down in front off the office and a swat team of cops were all over the place. Its loud. Neighbors dont respect quiet time. Someone tried to break into our apartment and now I cant sleep unless a chair is in the door. We have an autistic son and this just isnt the place to raise him. Its just not.We want out and now. The reality is that we are gonna have to pay for all of this regardless. The other is that we are about to be homeless. I guess in the end they win no matter what.

Worst apartments ever!! The move out was even worse. We let them know we were moving out a month before and gave them our new adress and a month later i get a call from collection informing us that if we dont pay our balance its going to affect our credit and when i went to the union to talk to them they gave me a statment about what we are being charged for and we are being charged for carpet cleaning when that is normal wear and tear when they are suppose to do a carpet cleaning when someone lives there more than a year and we lived there 18 months. I really dont recommend this property.
