I had been going to Michelle for 8+ years. But, she left for Korea and never came back it seems. No one knows if she is okay.After years of trying everything to calm my skin down from breakouts, I went to Michelles Beauty and Day Spa using a groupon. I would go about 4-5 times year and saw a major improvement in my skin. My breakouts nearly went away after several visits and my skin looked noticably healthier and vibrant (I would get random compliments on my glowing skin). Not to mention Michelle was very professional and kind. I hope she is ok.

If there was an option to give 0 star I would have given that. The worst salon I have ever been to in DMV area. The facial is so bad, the lady gave me literally no massage and finished it in 40 minutes. I don’t know what products she used but it literally felt she is applying hand soap on my face. The exfoliating had no granules it felt like a paste and the mask felt very watery. She cleaned my blackheads by paper tissue and pressing it my fingers without using any blackhead removing tool. She told me she is putting an eye mask which was literally cotton soaked in water. Waxing is pathetic as well. My skin feels irritated and it’s not clean work. It feels worse as it’s my birthday tomorrow and I don’t feel happy about my face at all. Highly NOT recommend. Waste of money and time.

I was gifted a Groupon to get a massage and facial here. Before going, I read the reviews and did not have high expectations. However, I found the staff to be welcoming and friendly as I walked in and both the massage and facial were good overall and seemed to be timed accurately. The massage was good although when it ended and I transitioned over to the facial, the bedside manner, so to speak, was a bit abrupt. The facial experience was decent although I felt the technician was rough with my face but this could be from inexperience as Ive only ever had one other facial before. Plus, there were no extractions so I was disappointed in that regard. However, I have noticed in the days following the facial that my skin has improved and looks and feels much better than before the facial. Overall, I would be open to visiting again (probably more so for the massage) but Im not dying to go back.

This place is amazing my massage therapist found all my knots and kinks on my back and she knew exactly where to massage. Also the facial I got was amazing also felt very rejuvenating and relaxing for both and I used the Christmas special package they were offering

First time visiting the place. I will definitely go back. The lady was kind and respectful. The massage was awesome, just what I needed. The room was relaxing and smelled nice.

I have been going to Michelles for years. She combines massage with stretches and warm towels. I appreciate her technique and always emerge refreshed.

Extremely frustrated... bought a $103 groupon for 1 hr massage and 1 hr facial to this place about a month ago. I had several failed attempts to try and schedule an appointment with them and it only seemed like they were available in the middle of the day during the week and sorry I work for a living... so, yesterday I try again with a more open mind about trying to schedule anything before the Groupon expires in August, while discussing several open time frames, their employer stops me and says Have you been here before? I had not, and I know at this point she knows who I am we had talked about 6 different times beforehand. Then she says How did you hear about us? I said Groupon. She goes We arent excepting those anymore. ?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

I visited here today for a Brazilian wax I purchased on Groupon. I’d been here before and serviced by Farrah but she wasn’t there today so another young lady assisted me. I had to call several times to get an appointment and on the day if she called me to move me up a half an hour which wasn’t an issue. Upon arrival she didn’t introduce her and was visibly annoyed. She told me she had to hurry and do me because she had another client coming. She was very rude and short with me. Without getting into too much detail this was the most uncomfortable waxing experience I’ve ever had. She was rough and only did the front. So I didn’t even receive the ‘full service’. Unfortunately the Groupon I purchased comes with two sessions so unless I want to lose my money I have to go back. Sad part is I’m traveling out of the country and I’ll need to go home and ‘touch up’ things myself because she rushed through so quickly.

I had a good experience. My massage therapist exhibited great customer service and the massage was nice and thorough. I will be coming back.

Im only leaving one star so I can leave a review. I went in for an hour massage and a 55 minute facial. Since I went in with a Groupon I had an extra $60 to tip the staff. The staff did not do anything to earn the tip, in fact the only thing they did was offer horrible service. Heres what happened1) I was yelled at for showing up 30 minutes early. I only came early to make sure I was on time for my appointment. I was told to come back at my exact appointment time.2) After filling out paperwork my massage started at 2:14 pm. My hour long massage was over at 3:03 pm. The clock in the massage room is exactly nine minutes fast. I got the correct timing from my cellphone.3) My 55 minute long facial lasted about 45 minutes. 20 of those minutes I was in the room alone with product just on my skin. There was a facial steamer blowing in my direction but the lady was not in the room to adjust it to hit my face. The lady who did my facial was rude and rough. At one point during the facial she told me not to look at her. The clock in the facial room is 7 minutes fast.4) As I was leaving out of the door they understood clearly that I wasnt leaving a tip the lady who did my facial called me back to the counter. She told me that since I used a Groupon and got almost have off she needed to charge me sales tax. I informed her that in the state of Virginia that you can only charge sales tax on goods and merchandise; not on services. I explained that was she was trying to do was unlawful. She hurried up and said thats okay.So to sum it all up dont utilize this business unless you want to be yelled at, rushed through, rough handled, left in a room alone, and lied to.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEIt is 5 hours after my facial and I noticed a small bump on the tip of my nose that had a white head on it. I also noticed that my nose is full of blackheads. This is not what I expect to have on my face after a facial.

Owner is very rude, if you miss a appointment no excuse, can not get prepaid money back. The service is not good, will ask you dont perchese from Groupon, pay in the store.
