If you want a high quality massage - I live by Edicts massages. I’ve gotten many across Virginia and she is not only high skilled and credentialed (ive had a number of bad experiences and made sure to vet the credentials this time around) but she really cares about the quality of her service. Great massage but I recommend her HIGHLY if you have any specific muscle tension as I’m on my sixth session with her and have seen a worth of difference in my neck and back tightness. Edict is well worth your time.

I had a bad cut from a different salon and Lindsey did a fabulous job of fixing it, along with updating my color. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to the Windsor of Old Town for more than 10 years and now I even take my 14 year old with me so it has become a family tradition to obtain waxing and facials from Touria who is truly professional, knowledgeable, caring, and to me, like family. She is truly one of the best that I have used in my years of obtaining this type of service both in the USA and Europe. A must try if you care about yourself!!!

While the technicians here are nice and genuine I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The sanitation is very poor, and the quality of their facials and pedicures are lacking. They left product on my face and rushed me out of a facial and burned my eyebrows with wax leaving a scar. I was left alone for 10 minutes during a pedicure and rushed out once they had another regular client come in. I was left with streaky nails, burned eyebrows, and multiple cleansers and moisturizers caked into my hair and crusting on my face when I left. If you are looking for a decent facial or pedicure do not frequent this business. Save your money and find it more hygienic and professional facility. Of note they did not sanitize the files between scraping my feet and the next guests. Visit this establishment at your own risk.

As far as Im concerned, there is no better facial anywhere. If you want champagne and lounge chairs, this isnt your spot, but it is intimate and lovely, perfect for the facial experience. Touria is an absolute expert in all kinds of skin care. Unlike so many others, she is incredibly helpful at taking care of young AND more mature skin. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Lindsay was very helpful in suggesting how I might eventually use my silver strands to highlight rather than continuing the processing. The cut was well done for the texture of my hair and the shape of my face. I like the quiet atmosphere, too.

I really enjoyed the massage I received from Edict. I explained the target areas prior to the massage. After Edict got started she noticed other tension areas that cause my tightness. She worked on the knots in my neck, back and shoulders. Edict gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. I will be setting up another massage before the Winter Holidays.

Windsor is a lovely salon whose attention to personal care and customer satisfaction has always been their number one priority. And now during these crazy times I still feel very comfortable and safe in the salon. The owner and staff have gone out of their way to stringently follow all CDC covid protocols. I especially enjoy their relaxing manicures and pedicures, and Sunny is warm and caring and very skilled at her profession. You cant go wrong with any of their services!

Once a month I go to Windsor for a manicure. Fifi, the manicurist, is a superb technician..I always leave with my hands beautifully groomed. I would definitely recommend Windsor to anyone.

I have had virtually every skincare service over the last 15 years at the Windsor of Old Town Salon & Spa, and every appointment is deeply revitalizing and relaxing. Touria goes out of her way to ensure that I am comfortable and get the results I want. I love that she listens, and laughs with me, as I share about moments in my life! I highly recommend booking a monthly facial with Touria-the Vitamin C Facial Treatment is one of my favorites, but if you are not sure which one to choose Touria can skillfully customize!

Wife and I are new to the area and I’ve been looking for a decent barber shop. Wife found this one and made the appointment. Facilities looked great and professional. It all went south as soon as she started the hair cut. Not impressed with the quality of the hair cut for the outrageous price they charge! The elderly lady was nice, but the the cut was uneven, the beard trim had to be fixed when I got home, and my wife had to fix a few spots with scissors. Never going back!

Old town GEM...I stumbled across this magnificent and classy salon yesterday, and to my surprise, there was a gentlemen’s section too. Best haircut and shave away from home ever...This family business has been serving clients from this location for 39 years. After speaking with the the owner and son, I get the feeling COVID has done a number on this fine establishment. Most of their clients are delaying appointments further out by 3 months, where normally their visits were monthly. Old town, you may be staying at home now, but you will come out again eventually, so those of you who have frequented this fine establishment over the years, make it a point to come in. I am visiting the whole DC area this weekend, and yesterday, looking a bit shabby, I decided to do something I haven’t done in years. Get a haircut from someone other than my barber for 20 odd years Johnny. Back in Vegas, he is seeing the same pattern. I pay for my staff’s haircuts if they visit his shop to help fill his schedule. For selfish reasons I suppose, if he’s no longer around, I may have to fly here to visit Stephen at Windsor of Old Town. (I’m mighty particular) Anyway that’s my story so if you need any services they offer, do a service for yourself and the community, put your mask on and they’ll take care of the rest. And you’re going to look and feel so much better.

This place is awesome! Wasnt expecting the gentlemen quarters to look how it did! Very friendly and they actually take their time to cut your hair the way you want.

Susie Johanson was my stylist at Windsor yesterday. She was excellent at listening to my requests and magically making my hair perfect. I highly recommend Susie as a stylist and Margo at the shampoo station was great as well. The salon fits Old Town Alexandria set in an old building. It is not a modern salon which means it has character and charm and makes a newcomer feel welcome.

I highly recommend getting your nails done here! I saw Sunny two weeks ago and my shellac manicure still looks perfect. I always chip my nails within a week of getting them done and I am amazed at how good they still look. Well worth the trip!

Always dependable, terrific shop providing topnotch services. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

It was a little confusing to figure out where to go from the street entrance but once I checked in at the front everything went smoothly. I had an excellent pedicure with attention to detail in a very pleasant environment.

I made an appointment with Stephen and when the salon called the day before to confirm, they named a different stylist. I politely protested that Stephen had been recommended. The receptionist said she work it out and call me back. When she hadn’t called by the end of the day, I called. The evening receptionist, told me Stephen had an opening later the next day. I booked right away. No more than ten minutes passed when I got a call saying Stephen only cuts men’s hair. Interesting. I found Windsor to be an excellent place for my manicures from the moment I entered until I left. I was very happy with the expertise of my manicurist, the surroundings and the hospitality. I came out very happy. Sunny does a great job.

Tawny didnt understand who the customer was. I have back problems. My upper back wasnt in pain but my lower back and legs were in pain. When I left my upper back hurt and it hasnt healed in two weeks. She said she only did deep tissue massages. I didnt ask for one when I made the appointment nor did she ask if anything hurt that should be avoided. Worst massage I have ever had. It was an hour and half of torture.

Ive been getting my hair cut for years by Stephen and he does a great job. Everyone is friendly and flexible, and the range of services that they offer is excellent.

The lady that massages me was wonderful she hit every knot and was really nice. Excellent service!!!

Excellent pedicures! They have only 2 seats, so it can be difficult to get an appointment, but the space is always quiet (not full of people talking on cell phones while trying to enjoy a pedicure), the soaking tubs are kept very clean and the pedicure is meticulous.

They have a very rude receptionist. I called to speak to a manager and she basically pushed me off the phone and told me to call back later because she had another line. Last time I checked, it is a a receptionists job to attend to EVERY phone call, whether you want to or not, its part of your job description, princess.
