Really disappointing experience yesterday; my first time. The receptionist wasn’t friendly and the quality of my gel manicure is underwhelming.Im pretty indecisive about my nails and it took me awhile to pick out a design after the manicurist did not want to do the first two styles I requested, saying my nails were too short. So I finally chose to do a multicolored French, and my friend chose 5 different colors. At this point the manicurist seemed irritated with me and wanted to just get my manicure over and done with. I apologized numerous times for being indecisive. For $45, I was hoping the work would be perfect, but the colored tips are messy and uneven.The salon was not crowded, though the receptionist informed us they were booked all day, so I really dont understand the rush job I got.Again, disappointing experience.

My husband and I went there yesterday for manicures and pedicures. We were VERY satisfied with the service!! The ladies there are so sweet and they do such great work. The atmosphere is so calming and perfect for a good day of pampering. They were by far the best nail spa I’ve been to yet. I highly recommend them and will go again when we come back to the area.

The first time was good... I really felt like I found my place. The second time not too good. The tech was kind of hurry and the job was fast... fast enough not to take the polish until the end of the nail... the result? ... in just one week my nails were a mess. There is a chance one in a million but happened to me. The salon is amazing and the environment is awesome and relaxing...

Unlike MARYA, I had a phenomenal experience. The receptionist Karen is seriously the funniest and kindest person I’ve ever met. This is hands down one of the best nail salons. Everyone is so friendly.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would have. I asked for a new full set of gel nails with French tip. Worst job I have ever had. They soaked off my acrylic nails and didn’t put tips back on. And for what ever reason the tips look like I played in dirt. I just got this done literally less than a week ago. Worst nail job I’ve EVER had. $65 down the drain. They were nice and the shop is flashy but I definitely won’t be returning.

Bad experience as the manicurist did not speak, at all, or even introduce herself. This is supposed to be a high class salon, but the experience was one of the worst i have ever had. I will not return

Ive been to several nail salons, unfortunately this is one nail salon I will not be returning too. Was in need of a gel manicure and eyebrow wax. The reviews were good and you can book an appointment online.ProsCovid safe, all staff and clients respect Covid rules and regulations.ConsFor the Pure Classic Gel Manicure. When the nail tech removed the old gel polish for my nails. They used acetone, and its perfectly normal to do so. Then the nail tech proceeded to use a nail drill to remove the last of the old polish. Using a nail drill on nails is very bad for your nails! They ended up making my strong nails very weak. What you are supposed to do is soak the nails in acetone again, and then the polish comes off like magic. I kindly requested for three coats of color gel polish. The nail tech only gave me two coats, and proceeded to insistent three times my nails were fine with only two coats of color. Then the nail tech shaped my nails very bad. So bad I had to ask someone else to reshape them correctly. The same gel polish I always get lasts me 3-4 weeks. Im at the beginning of week two, the polish has chipped and peeled. My nails are starting to break thanks to the nail drill.Eyebrows, they used a unsanitary chair in the back. No paper sanitary covers or anything. You can tell by the looks of the chair 100s of clients used it. My eyebrows were quickly waxed. Then I was quickly sent on my way out the door. Later that evening I could see in the mirror in a well lit room, they missed several hairs.For $65 plus 20% tip. I was overcharged for less than average work. I can easily do a gel manicure at home. I own and use the same tools and gel polish they used in the salon (minus the nail drill) and my work would still turn out better. Unfortunately, I dont have time anymore to do my own nails. Now, I rely on the professionals.The entire experience felt very rushed. Ive received better work in a more sanitary place for less money than Salon Meraki On King. Because of this, I will stick to the wonderful salons I trust and love.Sorry, Meraki On King, was really hoping to visit you more frequently in the future, but alas I cannot.This is really sad, because I usually write positive reviews!!!

Love Salon Meraki..everyone is nice. Its very clean and Sandy always does a phenomenal job on my toes and nails!

My gel manicure chipped off in 7 days instead of lasting 2 weeks like other salons, but more importantly, there were no plexiglass barriers used to stop the spread of covid19. The price is also higher than other salons who do a better job and have betterhygiene practices. I get a gel manicure every 2 weeks and was trying this salon due to convenience. I will not be back.

A little more expensive than the regular places (10 bucks more), but so worth it. Quality sns products, great colors, awesome technicians, really clean facilities.

I found them by chance before work one day and have been going there exclusively for the last 6months or so. Both the King and Queen Street locations are fantastic, very clean, organized and welcoming.I go to the King St. location more often, Sandy is awesome. She gives really attentive care, beautiful work, but shes also quick which I definitely appreciate. On my second visit she remembered me from the first and offered me a glass of champagne since she knew I wasnt working that day. That absolutely made my day ❤️Kathleen the owner is amazing as well, she cares so much about your experience and making sure you are 100% comfortable and happy. Her passion definitely shows in every aspect of the business!

I really enjoyed my visit to Salon Meraki. The space was lovely, everyone was very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I got a powder dip manicure, and it turned out great. Two weeks later and there are no chips or cracks. I will definitely be back.

I can’t belive I just discovered this little gem in Old Town. The first thing that caught my attention was the design of the space. It’s bright, beautiful, and has a lot of eye catching elements. The service was great and the color options have a nice variety. Oh and I really loved their black tea :) Will definitely be back!

The staff was engaging and friendly. My gel nails have lasted longer than the norm, and my pedicure was paired with a little treat....great touch.

The women that run the salon are amazing! Not only do they do an incredible job, but they are hilarious and a delight to talk to. I refuse to go anywhere else!

Its a nice place, but My french (gel) never lasts more than a week when I get my manicure done here.. 😔

I found out about this salon because my nail technician, Emilie, moved here from another salon. They have a ton on SNS and gel polish colors to choose from. My advice would be to make an appointment because its a smaller salon. If you take your baby dont bring your stroller. Love the ambiance and it doesnt smell like chemicals.

What a wonderful spot! My family and I went to this nail salon a few days before my wedding and had a wonderful experience. The ladies did impeccable work and were so very pleasant to chat with. And...the salon couldnt be cuter. Go there! You wont regret it!Update: 2 weeks after our mani/pedis, I was still getting text messages saying best manicure ever!

I had absolutely the best mani/pedi of my life from Ashley. She has the perfect gentle firm touch and to top it off, she’s really sweet, kind, personable and very meticulous (which is a rarity to find in the service industry)! Since moving back to old town, I’ve struggled to find a decent nail tech for the last 7months. I had no expectations from this salon cause I’ve been severely disappointed in many places but she really blew me away with her work ethic and professionalism. I’ve already recommended Ashley to all my friends and even random strangers on the street. If you’re looking to have a quality service, go see Ashley at Meraki on King St!!!!

Excellent all around posh service!

Stood outside for 20 minutes after opening hours knocking, ringing the bell, calling when the lights were on & the sandwich board sign was out. No response at all. Very disappointing.
