Been going to these guys for years. I have a vehicle that is old and there werent many of them made or on the road so parts are hard to find. They worked hard to find the correct parts but they were on back order for 2 weeks which was bad for me as I do not generate revenue with a vehicle that is in the shop. They shopped around and found alternatives that worked (thinking quick on their feet) and they delivered my truck back to me before the previously promised time. Super helpful, super honest and I highly recommend servicing your vehicle at Rons Automotive and RV.

I took my RV in to get a wheel alignment. They said they found multiple things wrong with the RV and kept it over night. The next day they said the catalytic converter was stolen and I needed to buy a new one and they had it in stock. I stated it was under their care when it was stolen. They said it happens often and it is my responsibility to pay for the new one. I felt if I gave them my RV to service it was their responsibility to return it in the same condition that I gave it to them, they do not feel that way.

Ive been taking my vehicles to Rons Auto and RV for the better part of the last two decades. They always ask before they work, they always do quality work, and they stand behind their work. One time, they installed a faulty alternator, at no fault of their own. Bad batch from the factory. Regardless, they replaced it free of charge. My daughter has been singing the praises of Rons because they have been thorough and honest about repairs and upgrades on her car, they give good value and are perfectly fine recommending other places when they cant do something. So I went in for my first visit and was very pleased. I got an oil change and had them take my car for a drive to check out a noise. It turned out not to be anything that needed fixing. And they went over the brakes, fluids, etc so I know what is coming up and that I have no safety things to worry about. My auto is 20 yrs old and has a good ride so I am glad I can continue to enjoy it. Rons is now my go-to place for care.

Our Class A blew off an exhaust manifold three hours northeast of Victoria, British Columbia. Realizing how dangerous, albeit how extremely noisy it was, we knew we had to get service immediately so we cancelled our trip to Whidbey Island and headed straight to relatives in Washington. After driving 13+ hours with a deafening roar, we arrived in Brush Prairie late on Sunday evening. That night, I began researching local RV repair services near Vancouver. To our utter amazement, none of the standard RV Service Centers handled exhaust systems. We could find only one that handled them and it was Ron’s Auto & RV Repair.First thing on Monday, I called Ron’s and Ryan the manager told us he could take it immediately, it couldn’t guarantee that they would get to it today; but he promised to have it looked at by Wednesday. We were flabbergasted that they could take it so soon, and quickly emptied our stuff from it and drove over. When we got there Ryan told us they they would get to it as soon as they could, but no later than Wednesday. True to his word, Ryan called me Wednesday morning with the results and estimate for the repairs. We had blow off the right side exhaust manifold, burned up an oxygen sensor and broken off several mounting studs used to attach the manifold to the engine. He also stated the manifold head was warped and would require grinding to make it flat for remounting. As soon as he mentioned grinding, my butt puckered knowing it was going to be a very costly repair. He also reported that our rear differential was leaking, but that he was sure we could safely drive it home to Arizona. We had previously inquired about an oil change, but he didn’t think they would have time, but agreed to do it now. We agreed to the repair estimate and asked if they could repair the leaking differential too. He said it would take a couple of days to research the manufacturer and order the parts. Since we weren’t scheduled to leave the area, till late the following week, we decided to let them do it; because we lived 45 miles from the nearest RV Service Center in Arizona.Thursday afternoon, the other manager called us to report the RV repair was done and that they also found the original Workhorse fuel filter was installed and it had never been changed. They had gone ahead and replaced it as I had authorized them to fix anything they found. When I asked for the total amount including labor, I was stunned when he said $1475.81! I honestly expected the grinding alone of the manifold, to be in excess of $2500. But they did all the repairs and oil change with synthetic oil and engine fuel filter kit for under $1500!I rarely write positive reviews of RV Service Centers as we have been screwed over repeatedly because we were desperate and lived outside the local area. Not only did they not gouge us, they kept their word about when they would troubleshoot the issues and how long it would take to repair. My only regret is Ron’s is not in Tucson, Arizona. They are truly a business with integrity, with kind and helpful staff too. Ron’s Auto and RV Service not only did exceptional work in an expeditious manner, but charged us mere peanuts to do it!

Recently I brought my 07 Ford F150 in for a ticking noise that has progressively been getting louder over the past year and a half. Mike informed me it was most likely the rocker arms on the passenger side that were causing the issue. Depending on how many rocker arms needed replaced and other work associated with this it would be quite a bit to fix my tick. I went ahead and gave them the approval to do whatever was needed to fix the noise. Later that afternoon I received a call that when they were taking things apart they noticed one of the spark plugs was burned above the porcelain. Apparently this was causing the issue and had burned another part on my engine. Mike also informed me I had them replace my spark plugs back in 2017 and he would go ahead and warranty all the work they had completed even though it was a little bit past the warranty.Trust is a tough commodity in todays business, it is something that is earned. Actions speak louder than words, and this is a perfect example of why I will continue to take my vehicles to Rons Auto. I know if work truly needs completed they will do it correctly, timely, and warranty any issues. On the flip side, I know they will not try to sell my something I do not need to fix.Rons has earned my trust and will definitely received my future business.

When I could not get rear end (rear axle differential) work done at one shop because they did not have the experience or equipment to lift the RV, they suggested I take it to Rons RV Repair. Not only did they do the work, they did a fabulous job. The rear axle and differential was completely shot. Mike at Rons RV found a very serviceable, low time rear axle and differential and installed that instead an expensive and complicated rebuild. I got a great repair at low cost. They also replaced leaking rear wheel brake actuators that I did not know about. I am very satisfied with Rons and will take all my service work there from now on. Based on the symptoms my car was exhibiting, I believed that I needed a front wheel bearing replacement. When I dropped off my car, Mike the manager, quoted me a price for a front wheel bearing replacement and stated that hed let me know if that didnt turn out to be the issue. Five hours later, Mike left me a VM stating that they were indeed replacing the left FRONT wheel bearing. Three hours later, Mike tells me that in fact, they ended up replacing the right REAR wheel bearing instead and that my car now has a left front wheel sensor issue which is causing the ABS system to cut in and out. He stated that they would be taking care of the sensor problem for me for “free”, a job that would consist of a $15 part that he would need to order and 30 minutes worth of labor. I asked him what the total cost would now be for the bearing job and he said it would still be the same because its essentially the same job and the same part. Wait, what? I always do my homework before bringing my car into a mechanic or agreeing to any quote and I knew for a fact that a REAR wheel bearing job is NOT the same as a front, in fact is takes nearly half the time to complete it when done by a skilled mechanic. Just to be sure, I made some calls to local repair shops for quotes and all of them, without exception, quoted me a price on a rear wheel bearing replacement that was anywhere from $100 to $130 less. But I guess I was supposed to be assuaged by the “free” wheel sensor replacement.I told Mike that I did not think the price was fair given that the original quote was for a front bearing job, thinking maybe he’d hear me out and we could reach an agreement. Instead, Mike became defensive and tried justifying the cost which included blaming ME for telling them I thought it was the front wheel bearing. He stated that it took them TWO HOURS just to diagnose the issue and thirty minutes to do the actual job. Wow. He then stated that I should be grateful for the price I was given because a dealer wouldve charged me $125 vs. $105 per hour (I told him a dealer would never have taken two hours to diagnose the issue in the first place and of course he didn’t like that). He asked me what I wanted and I told him the job shouldve cost at least $100 less and I want a fair price. I suggested that we split the difference and he said no, you know what, Im going to give it to you (meaning the $100 off) and then well part ways. In other words, I would not be welcome back at his shop and they would not honor any warranty for the bearing job they had completed. He also stated that I was welcome to come get the sensor on Monday but that his offer to fix it would no longer be honored. When I expressed my belief that they had created the problem with my sensor, he denied it and stated that the ABS light “just suddenly came on” while they were test-driving my car and that it was likely due to rust on my wheel.Luckily for me, I managed to find the best repair shop in all the land five days later. They listened to my horror story, ordered the sensor and diagnosed what created the sensor issue to begin with. The verdict? My front left wheel bearing hub had been improperly reassembled, leaving a metal plate/washer in the way of the sensor. You could see that the washer had been tampered with and even broken off at the edge in an effort to move it out of the way without having to take the wheel hub apart again. What should’ve been a 30 minute job to pop in a new sensor ended up taking my new mechanic over an hour and a half to do because they had to remove my wheel, remove the axle nut, push the CV joint out of the way and rotate the washer into its proper position, which they did for me AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Why? Because that’s what a truly honest and good auto repair shop does. They look out for their customers and strive to build their trust. And if they make a mistake, they admit they are human and they fess up to it instead of attempting to cover it up and charge the customer for it.
