Well thanks to this place I can’t drive my car. Went to get an inspection and oil change. They said everything was fine with my car except that I should come back soon to get new tires(that’s fine, I planned to get them) but not even 20 minutes after I leave my car is leaking engine oil all over the driveway. First and last time I come to this place.

A little pricey in my opinion for an oil change, paid $81. Would have been nice to be given some options prior to simply being told to hand over my keys. But you get what you pay for, i guess - this oil change I got is said to be expected to last for 7,000 miles as opposed to the standard 3000.This is the first oil change Ive gotten on my vehicle, which is a 2021 Toyota Corolla, will come back and re-review based on how its driving

I love this place. They are ACTUALLY honest with you on the repairs you need and the urgency of every repair. Any other garage will tell you X, Y and Z is broken and you need it now or your car will explode. Instead of airing up your tires like you came for, your new total will be $1469. But the folks here will tell you This is broken, but you can ride it out safely for a year or so. Mike is my favorite! Will never go anywhere else, keep up what you do fellas, youre doing it right!

Typical crook mechanics trying to take advantage of a woman. Avoid these a$$#0les unless you like to throw away your money. My girlfriend took her car in for a brake inspection. The owner/mgr told her she had about 20% of her front pads left and she needed to replace them. Her brakes have literally almost no wear. Complete crooks trying to make an easy dollar on an unnecessary repair. Ill post a pic of the pads they wanted to replace. I cant wait to hear an explanation for this.

Shorted my truck a quart of oil.My truck takes 6 quarts of oil. They changed me for 6 quarts, but when I got home the oil light came on.I checked the oil, it was low so I put a quart in, and went back.They said oh no, its fine.Yeah, I know its fine because I put a quart in.He then told me, I had over filled the oil.Oh please, even I can read a dip stick.

As automotive repair shops go I trust Midas to do a quality job at a fair price. These guys try really hard to do right by you for repairs that are needed. They will give very through checkup to your car and talk in language you can understand. By determining your level of automotive knowledge. I have had them do several custom exhaust systems and have not been dissatisfied. My Mustang GT sounded amazing when they got done with it. But they do much more then exhaust systems. We also use them for all our AC and Break system work. They also can evac and replace any of your cars fluids. Also they can do heavier work if you need it done. I trust these guys. They work on all my cars.

I had a new replacement cat-back exhaust muffler installed about 8 months ago on my Nissan. Within 1 month, the new muffler was making contact with the undercarriage. The original Midas shop who performed the worked was no longer in business. So, I decided to make a stop at the Colony MIDAS shop to take a look. The Colony MIDAS shop not only fixed the issue, but did not charge me a penny. I am taking another vehicle in for a new muffler this week. These guys are professional and very honest. I recommend MIDAS to all of my friends and family!

Went there with my daughters mother because they took advantage of her because of the fact that she was a woman and everyone was getting stimulus checks very bad business

Took my van in for an inspection and during the inspection they found that the brakes needed work. They told me that the rear breaks were within specs but the front ones had to be done.After they installed new pads, left for a road trip the next morning, once the car got up to 75 miles per hour, any braking resulted in the car and the steering vibrating quite noticeably.Thought that maybe the parts just need some breaking in (no pun intended) and drove it for a few weeks but the problem didnt go away.Took it in again so they could look at what happened and this time around they came back with a 600 dollar bill to fix what they think is the problem, the rear breaks, which had not been repaired and were within specs.According to the guy at the front counter the issue probably happened when the new pads gripped the rotor causing it to warp. Once again not realizing that a few minutes ago he mentioned the issue was the rear brakes which had not been replaced.I tested the car throughly, driving at low speeds (no vibration) to high speed (between 75 and 95 mph) and significant vibration at those speeds. If this was a warped rotor, wouldnt the vibration happen at low speeds?While I dont doubt that they may be telling me the truth, why was this not something that was brought up when they did a full inspection of my car and bought up the break job? It would have been easier to get the rotor machined at that time than to take another day and go take the car in the shop.Now prior to the brake job, there was absolutely zero vibration when applying the breaks. Immediately after the replacement there is a warped rotor? They couldnt answer this question other than to say that this is probably an operator error.Now to take a third day to go visit Toyota to get their opinion on whats going on with the car.

Did a great job on repairs on my sons car! Knowledgeable and honest on pricing what was needed, etc. Confident in the service and would definitely recommend them! Been coming her for years for oil changes on my daughters car too!

Came in for a state inspection. I had JUST been to the dealership and had the full workup on my nearly brand new car. The dealership talked me into replacing all sorts of things, but never mentioned my wiper blades. They function perfectly. No squeaks, no water lines. Perfectly. Midas told me that they were frayed on the edges. I could either but new ones from them or fail inspection. I wish I could attach a pic of what they consider frayed. Like 2 Millimeters at the very tip were starting to pull away. Remember, even the dealership didnt think they needed replacing. The guy tried to tell me that they dont interpret the law, but you do interpret my work blades! Had to buy new ones from them on order for them to uphold the law. Sounds a little convenient, huh? Never going back here again to give these weasels any more of my money!

Midas in The Colony is the best place. Id been visiting them for my cars maintenance since last 3 years and they have never disappointed me. Service is courteous and rates are reasonable. The person who works on your car always calls you in and explains whats right and whats wrong. The service and estimates are very honest. Overall, the best experience so far !

This is the best run Midas I’ve ever been to. Super friendly, knowledgeable and honest employees. Pricing isn’t “cheap” but it’s also not expensive. It’s pretty reasonable.

Long time customer, first name basis with owner- walked in today, showed a coupon and was told I would have to drive to Carrollton location in order to honor it. So, was turned away by my “go-to”, hometown Midas all for a tire rotation denial to be included with my needed oil change. Sad.

Have always found this place to be reasonable in price, with outstanding customer service. Vincent had to order some tires for our Sienna, and when there was a computer glitch in getting them here at our needed date, went out of his way to make sure they were delivered in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

Very happy with the service I received. My car ended up costing quite a bit more than I expected, but the staff were all very up front and helpful with recommendations. They were realistic about the work that needs to be done and how much time it was going to take. They did not charge for things that didnt get done or push for any extra services. This is where Ill be taking my vehicle for all of its maintenance.

I absolutely LOVE the guys at Midas! Michael took very good care of my baby that they dont make anymore (Honda Element). Ive gone to other places including my dealership, and they all want to charge an arm and a leg for maintenance. These guys made me a new die-hard customer.

I took in the truck for a Synthetic Oil change and 4 wheel alignment.They were very professional and performed a great service.I truly enjoyed and felt that they actually took care of my truck. Even pointed out to me that there were 2 other issues needing attention.GREAT!

My husband and I love going to Midas for any of our car needs. They are prompt and always upfront with costs. They thoroughly go over any issues with you after having an oil change, and let you know which repairs are super important and which ones can wait. We recently had to leave my husbands vehicle for the weekend to be repaired, since we were going out of town, and Midas called us every day to let us know the status.

I have been a regular customer of Midas. But I guess not anymore. My cars coolant reservoir was not holding the coolant and there were signs of coolant underneath my car (leaking). I took it to them to find out what the issue might be. I walked into the shop and explained them of the issue and requested if they could come and take a quick look (visually) to see what they think.But the guy refused to come take a quick look, but told that they have to charge $90 to look at what the issue might be. That definitely sounded like a rip off. They guy wont even come out for a few seconds to take a quick look under the hood?, but want me to pay $90 before he will do anything.Then I walked away and took the car to mechanic shop and requested them to take a look. The guy came out with me and he looked under the hood for a few seconds and he immediately diagnosed the issue as a Leaking Radiator, which needed a radiator replacement. All it took was a few seconds of his time to do that, which midas refused to do. Dont plan to go there again.

Vince and all the guys are super friendly & extremely knowledgeable. I have been going to the Midas in The Colony for several years now, and I will never take our cars to anybody but them. The guys are very trustworthy and never try to upsell you something you dont need like a lot of other shops do by always coming back to you with a list of other things in addition to the actual reason you brought the car in to begin with.I highly recommend bringing your cars into Midas and experience the refreshing difference and customer service.

The staff was really nice but the prices are insane. Took my 2007 tc there once for an inspection and they told me it wouldnt pass unless I replace my break light which was out (understandable). They told me it would be 250 for that small led strip. Luckily I mod cars and didnt fall for it and got it for 25 on Amazon.A few hours ago I took my frs for an inspection and was told my window tint didnt pass. Im well aware that my windows are not too dark and are definitely legal so I took the car down the road to a Firestone and did everything with ease in 10 minutes, maybe even less. Im sure theyre following protocol and Im sure theyre not purposely trying to deny or rip people off but I feel that something needs to be done within the company.

My daughter took her 2013 Kia rio to get it inspected at valvoline in Plano. Tech informed her the knock sensor needs to be replaced. I went to kia in Mesquite knock sensor needs replacing. I took it to christan Brothers in Plano youre knock sensor needs to be replaced. Every ones saying the same thing so I TRUSTED what they were telling me. My day started with a 25.00 fee for inspection to sensor and tires plus labor around a 1000.00. I called midas @4177 Main Street colony and spoke with Micheal Tall. I informed Michael I want you to repair my daughters car I informed him what I needed. Michael asked me If i had it reset umm no every one says it needs replacing. Before we go that route can you bring it by let me look at it. Michael asked Garrett to look at it. Garrett fixed my sensor 5 seconds. Michael and Garrett I cant say thank you enough. Midas earned my daughters and my Buisness Michael saved me at least 500.00 thank you.MidasOwner. You have exceptional employees.Thank youJAMES Alonzo

BE AWARE!!! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!! GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!My wife took her 04 Mazda3 To get inspection, check engine light was ON. She took it in that morning and they called her that day that they needed to troubleshoot the car b/c it wouldnt pass the inspection test. After a Fluid Flush, spark plug hose (2) replacement, $300+, & 24 hrs. later that car was ready.When I got there they told me that they had replace ONLY 2 of the spark plug hoses (For that price, I would have expected to get all 4 to get replaced!) & and that eventually the other 2 would have to be replaced. WHAT A BUNCH OF B.S.!!!!!I would have never authorized them to work on my wifes car if I had known that they were going to do all this bogus extra work to try to get to the root of the issue!I WOULD RATE THIS PLACE A ZERO!!!! IF I COULD.

This shops work on our car saved my wifes life. A couple days after having our car worked on, my wife was in a near head on collision. We had work done at Midas on our front end steering and suspension. A normally costly repair but at Midas, very reasonable. I can say without a doubt that without the work they performed and suggested, she would not have been able to avoid a car landing in front of her on 75.Thank you Midas for your outstanding service and honesty when it comes to car repairs. You have become my local show and for that, I thank you.

Do not take your vehicle here. They will under quote you then add on additional items after you car is being worked on so you have no choice but to let them do the work. Additionally the Midas Guarantee doesnt exist and they do not warranty items, rather give you excuses as to why its not covered under warranty. Take notice that they arent accredited with the BBB and dont make the same mistake as I did.

I will never take my car here again. I usually take my car here for my oil changes so when my brakes went out I figured they would be the best shop to do this. I got there and after waiting about 45 minutes of was told that unneeded $2,000 worth of work in my car. According to them I needed brake pads, front rotors, new tires, and struts. I already knew that I needed new tires but everything else naw. The even admitted that I didnt need struts but they would recommend that I still get them changed since they didnt know the history of the vehicle. I asked if I could just do all 4 brake pads since I knew those needed to be changed asap. Midas wanted to charge me damn near $400 to change brake pads. $20 brake pads that come with 2 pads in each box, are you kidding me?! I declined and chose to have someone else look at my car. Of course the new mechanic told me that my rotors were in excellent condition and changed all 4 brakes for less than $200. Also Midas told me that my car was FWD, Howe ever there is a big ass sign on my car that says its AWD. One of the biggest issues was the fact that when the new mechanic lifted my hood while I was standing there the brake fluid cap was not even put back on. I felt like the mechanic at Midas deliberately did this beacuae I chose not to get any work done with them. They have no clue what they are doing and will try and hustle you out of every penny you have. Never again will I take my car to Midas.

Weve used this place for a few years and theyve been able to troubleshoot and fix problems that a list of other mechanics were stumped on. Always pay what they quoted, so Im not sure what the other reviewer had going on, but weve NEVER paid more than they told us. Theyve stood by their guarantee when we had issues after work (parts failure), and made it right - no charge. A place you can trust.

By far the worst place if you have work that needs to be done or plan on ever doing anything to your car, Im glad the mechanics work so fast that they can make a lot of money however, using an impact wrench for a 50-60lb brake calipers guide is wrong and improper use of machinery, I dont care if someone can eyeball it, if you tighten the bolt down so hard that it snaps off on one side of the car when trying to remove and completely strips the nut on the other side just trying to remove, you shouldnt be conducting the same business practices. Midas needs to reevaluate some of their mechanics and business practices. I shouldnt have to suffer and break things trying to undo what Midas has put their hands on. If I could rate 0 stars I would, however the staff is very kind and professional. So it deserves 1 star atleast. Thanks for wasting 5 hours of my own time after you overcharge for the minimal work I asked to have performed. Moral: go somewhere else, literally anywhere.

Since the shop just recently opened, I thought I would give it a try. I needed to do tires balancing. When I came I specifically asked if this can be done within an hour because I was really in a rush. They said with certainty that it would be fine. after about 40 min, they showed me that two of my tires were leaking and needed to be repaired ( fyi I never had any problems with my tires, they were fine when I came) I asked him how much would it cost, and he said 14.99 thats it. I wasnt gonna do it but since it ony costs me that much, yeah why not. and then when it was done, I was very upset because first of all it took them 1 hour 30ish min to get the car done (when they specifically told me they can do it within an hour) and they charged me $30ish for the tires repair. they said the price that he gave me is for one tire. Had I known that, I wouldnt do the tires repair at all. I will not recommend this to anybody.

Mike is great. Little rough at the beginning to get a gauge on, but very good at communicating, siding through issues and trying to be as descriptive as possible with the issues a car can have. I was here for a while over a couple of days, stranded without a vehicle. But I can say, I observed Mike HANDLE BUSINESS. now another woman came into the office and kinda pushed mine into the bays, maybe thats his job... But she didnt seem as did with the customers. Just a little chilly, when I think being a little more warm to the customers fires a longer way. I have had several issues addressed on a few of my vehicles. I am a do it yourselfer... But when required to have a specialist with the right CPU... This place can get it done. As long as Mike is here, 4 stars away.
