I recently took a trip with my family to Tennessee. We booked sixth on Priceline because the price was so low. The day of my pickup I got a confirmation call and was told I could t take car to Tennessee. When I argued the situation with the employee my price went from just shy of 600 to a thousand. They don’t allow there cars to leave region. Because of the timeframe I was forced to take there car. Upon returning the car I was told I had to vacuum out the car or they would take my 200 deposit. They made me drive around Springfield and search for a working vacuum all while my 18 year old and 9 year old were sitting in their parking lot. I’ve rented many cars from many companies and have never been so aggravated. They pull a lot of smoke and mirrors and blame it on the third party booking sights. I would never recommend or use this company again. Save the hassle use enterprise

My daughter and I were trying to make reservations for a family trip. Its my mothers 70th birthday. We have three adults, Two toddlers, and one preteen. This trip is one and a half months away. We Had a small email with little information. I downloaded the app but was unable to connect the reservation. I called the main 888 number, but when I pressed 1 for English, it was no sound. I found St James Springfield, MAs local number and called. Richard had me on hold after I told him my concerns about wanting to know would the vehicle be ready. He said, hold on. He came back asked me where I was going, and he denied me the reservation and canceled it.I guess you Sixt do not want any consumers. Its okay; we will be fine—many Blessings.

I wish theres a NEGATIVE 5 STARS, because I would give it. Make a reservation, they didnt call me back when they dont have a car. Send me an email the day before asking me to call them. Do not rent from here, worse business practices. Ruin ours family plans. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THATS why they offer cheap price, Because they CANT DELIVER. SORRY is all you will get.

DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE. Book a reservation and when I come to pick up, they said they dont have it. Give an excuse for bad tires and they dont want to rent it out. I even offer to change the tires for them and have they reimburse me later but they said no. they Ruin our families vacation, especially for the kids.

This place is horrible for car rental. I Make reservations for a Van for a family road trip. paid for reservations. When I came and pick up the van, they said its not available. We rent a house with airBnB, ours kids were excite. All they said was sorry. I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone.

Paid to rent a car. Covid hit. Had to push back vacation date 1 year to the day. Sixt decided to not rent that far out. They kept one third our money. Worst car rental company around. I will not ever use them again. Do yourself a favor and rent from Enterprise! Sixt wont remidy the situation!

This was so easy - booking was easy. Pick up was easy, car was in great condition and the drop off was easy. I booked through Priceline and they give you a very accurate breakdown of the fees to expect. Definitely the easiest experience I’ve had with the car rental company I just booked through them again for a few weeks because it was so easy. This is for the Tampa location. Thanks!

Trash company. I had to cancel my vacation because of the pandemic and they refused a full refund. Said they would give me a voucher. I accepted. When it came time to use my voucher I couldn’t unless I selected pay later(which charges you more) I reached out to them and they said I can only use it if I select pay later which then costs me 160. So to use a 143 voucher I have to pay them 160. RIDICULOUS and absolutely unfair given the current situation. This is theft.

Do not use this car service they will rob your bank account and their cars are horrible the car had a leak and scratches and dents on top of that they doubled their rates when I needed to extend the rental just so they could drain me of every penny they could. I already reported them to BBB and consumer affairs. Save your self the time and go to enterprise download their enterprise plus account for discounts. What they didn’t know was I’m a private investigator working a case. My client said they committed fraud and raised there rates on top of double charging his account. He was right now I have enough evidence to take them down so please if you are a victim report them to your local Attorney General Office, Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs.

The service there was good, but the fine print will get you. Behind the smiles they dont mention what happens when things are damaged. They will charge hundreds of dollars for cleaning, (which they dont tell you about either.) I told them I was using the car to move and they never mentioned what would happen if the trunk sustained damages. I made my intentions very clear about moving and they never said anything about the stipulations. I have a dog. Hair transferred from some of the items moved and I was taxed 200+. They could not specify where the expenses were spent in specific. The created an invoice to match the fraudulent charges and they never responded to the BBB when I addressed it with them. On to the Attorney General I guess. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM IF YOU PLAN ON LIVING LIFE EVEN A LITTLE BIT. THEY WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE LIFE HAPPENING. THEY CHARGE 10+ DOLLARS A GALLON REGARDLESS OF THE COST OF GAS IN SPFLD, MA. Horrible ethics and rob you blind with no remorse.

Positive: the car I rented was in great condition.Negative: The company is either intentionally misleading customers or has not trained their staff well (or both). I needed the car on a business trip only for an afternoon and evening and originally indicated I would return it after ~8 hours. The agent at pick up told me that if I returned it within 24 hours, the charge would be the same, so just come back and return it in the morning to save myself an extra trip. I was charged a late fee in the end, which they have refused to reverse without documentation of the conversation. I wont be renting from them again.

Needed a last minute rental for business. No one else had rentals, so why not try a new place? lol never again. Called and said we know its close to close, can we still come? they responded yes, gave us pricing, yada yada-30 minutes later we showed up. We were one minute past close and they were locking up and walking out-no acknowledgement-when we tried to make contact we were rudely told Well I told you we close at 5:30 and walked away.Entitled sounding I know-but honestly, if youre not going to help-tell me over the phone.No rental, no car, a waste of my day and no I dont recommend.

I did a reservation on their app to pick-up a reserved vehicle (Jeep Cherokee). However, when arriving at their location, Saint James Ave, Springfield MA, the vehicle I had reserved for was not available. “I am sorry sir, but at the moment we don’t have the vehicle you have reserved.” My question is, why didn’t you call me to inform me of this matter? How is it that I reserved a vehicle online and it is ready for pick up, however when arriving at the location it’s not available. As a result, I ended up going to another rental company in which provided me with great customer service and obtaining the vehicle I wanted.

I just picked up a rental here today and worked specifically with Monique. I had to leave multiple times to figure out the deposit (as Im in between jobs at the moment- still a little embarrassing) but she was as patient and thoughtful as could be. I wasnt having the best day and being taken care of by someone so understanding and empathetic made it significantly easier. The mechanic who picked me up, Josh (who was filling in), was phenomenal as well. Thank you again!!

Fraud! This place is a scam!!! Stay away!!! They lure you in with initial cheap rental prices then lay additional charges on you when you drop the car off. I got an additional $500 dollar charge to my rental! My invoice stated that I returned the rental car to the wrong location. This was false and couldnt be more false. I picked up in Orlando and stayed in fort Myers, so why would I drop off back in Orlando? Makes no sense. I listed the correct dropoff location to the agent at the time of rental. I tried to dispute this charge but was unsuccessful. This was my first time using sixt rental car company and I not only will never use this service again, but will continue to let the public know of this fraudulent activity.

I rented a rave 4 at sixth in Springfield. I had messed up my reservation online. When i came in the receptionist Monique was very polite and professional she help me straighten out everything. When i seen what i was driving i was very pleased. the Rave4 was very clean inside and out. Monique made sure the paper was explained. i was very happy with my rental. i will be telling my co workers to see Monique at sixth.

Sixt was wonderful! When my car was stolen I looked to Sixt for a week-long rental until I could get a new car. We talked to them several times on the phone and in person, and everyone we talked to was amazing! They were very friendly and helpful getting information for us about their policies. It was very difficult for us to find a place that we could rent from (being under 25 and needing to use a debit card) but Sixt allowed us to rent a car and we got our entire deposit back. They provided an absolutely awesome experience and I would recommend them above any other agency!

I rented a car , I was supposed to pick it up at 4 pm. I called at 9 am that morning and asked could I pick it up earlier at 11 am. They said yes. Sent me a new confirmation showing my early pick up. I rented a car from Sixt for a recent road trip with my elderly aunt and two young daughters. Upon returning the car, they charged me a $100 smoking fee without my knowledge. I DONT SMOKE and I had my children in the car with me the entire time. I first called the office and then went in store to speak with the manager. The manager, Eli Black refused to refund my money and said he had to go by whatever Jessica had stated on the report, something along the lines of The car smelled heavily of smoke and there were ashes all over the middle console. I asked for evidence of this, to see a copy of the report and he wouldnt show me. I also questioned why their return policy isnt as stringent as their renting out policy, meaning when I picked up the vehicle we did a thorough walk around and I had to sign a form to confirm any issues with the car. However when I returned the car, they just told me to drop the keys and I was all set. They said they would send an email with a copy of the report yet I never received one. I happened to call myself and ask about my $200 deposit and thats when I was informed about the $100 smoking fee. The branch manager was in no way helpful so I had to call customer service to file a formal complaint. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Kicking myself for renting here again. After being told that there were no midsized cars available and that I would have to rent something bigger and more expensive, I stood in awe- as the customer next to me asked for a mid size- and was provided one, no problem. I brought it to the managers (Conner) attention, and was simply told, oh, that shouldnt have happened. I was offered no apology, no discount, no explanation.Because of convenience (certainly not customer service) I went there again. Unfortunately, Sixt defines unlimited differently than the rest of us English speakers. Next time, Ill know better to go some where else.

I normally go to hertz but after a bad experience a friend of mine suggested I got to sixt. I was very unsure at first but once I arrived I was greeted by Monique. She was awesome; she was sweetest and very informative. She answered all my questions clearly and promptly she made me feel very comfortable. As a person who rents a car at least twice a month I found my spot and person. To anyone reading this I suggest you go and see Monique I promise you wont regret it.

I wish I could give them zero stars currently stuck stranded with my mother and two children 15 hours away from home with a defective rental(bad transmission) been outside 7 hours with my children in the heat after almost being killed when the car came to a complete stop in the fast lane on the highway.. upon confirmation that it was not drivable from Chevy dealership the manager still refuses to help and after paying 700 dollars for two days is telling me to go find another rental.. absolutely going to the bbb!

Ive rented from Sixt many times before. But this locations owner is HORRIBLE. He lies and cheats to up sell on a rental. I rented a van for a bachelor party in Montreal. He told me that my credit card insurance doesnt cover vans. Called Amex that was a lie.I was running late with the van because of weather conditions. I left the van six hours late and the owner charged me for another day. Which is fine. But he changed the daily charge to $75 dollars more per day. My overall bill doubled.I will never rent from them again.

I have been your customer for years, but the last time i rent a car it was not a good experience. Car was not in good condition to travel, so I was concern of my family safety. When I call the agent was not to pleasant and he suggested me to take the care to the dealer to get it fix. Really, thats what the customer is supposed to do, or is the dealer responsibility to keep the car in absolutely good condition..

Honestly, they have the beat deals for renting in the area, unless you have a code that makes the other places (ex.Avis, Hertz) cheaper. Would give this particular location 4 stars, if they had better vehicles (Rav 4s and Nissan Altimas galore!)

The car rattled as it drove and reeked of cigarette smoke (making the no smoking stickers all over the car very humorous). The smell made me so nauseous I returned the car two days into a four day reservation. I was next informed that it must come back with a FULL tank of gas or be charged 8 dollars a gallon. Then I was informed I would be charged for the FULL FOUR DAYS reservation saying due to the terms and conditions, I must pay for everything even if I was unsatisfied with the foul stench of the non-smoking car I reserved.This is literally the worst car rental company I have ever used in my life. I will not tell you who to rent from. I do not want you to think I am trying to promote a different company. All I can say is CHOOSE ANY COMPANY BUT THIS ONE.They are truly horrible.
