Best dentist I’ve ever had. My whole family goes here including my four year old

I love going to Canyon Dental. The staff is very friendly and professional. I was having some gum issues and the treatment plan utilized by the competent staff absolutely rectified the situation...Thank you so much 💓

I had to update my review. They were great when I lived down the street from their office. I moved away and two years later they sent me to collections for a $300 bill that I wasn’t even aware of. Not an email, phone call, or letter in the mail regarding this bill. I called their office three times and was assured they would call me back to resolve the issue directly. They said they would just take my payment and pull it from the debt collector. No one ever called. It’s going to be easier to just pay the debt collector and avoid hurting my 800+ credit score over this nonsense. Very disappointed.

Everyone from the front desk to the billing person were amazing and very kind. The procedures and costs were very inexpensive considering what I have been quoted before.

I wish I could give zero stars. Literally the worst dental office ever. I’ve gone here more than ten years, but they have cancelled my appointment several times without being able to reschedule in a timely manner due to being booked overbooked (once they canceled my appointment for an office party!) and when I finally explained that I was frustrated they canceled appointments I had held for 6 months for my whole family. Their front office can’t seem to get themselves together. They obviously don’t care about proper dental care, especially that of children. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

We recently started using Canyon Dental due to the proximity of our home. Although they are a very busy practice I have had a great experience so far. I was seen about a month ago and they put together a comprehensive plan for some dental work I need to get done.. This week I took my 9 year old son in for the first time for a check up. I mentioned that his front tooth had discoloration/calcification and we had been told there was nothing we could do until his was much older. I explained he was very self conscious of the appearance of his tooth. Dr. Stinson advised that he could use the drill to take some of the calcification off and then use composite that is more like the color of his tooth. Dr. Stinson did the procedure that morning and my son was overjoyed that his tooth looked normal again. It may seem like a small thing but this has made my son so happy, he does not mind smiling again. Thanks Canton Dental and Dr. Stinson, we appreciate your help!

Had to make a last minute dental appointment while visiting, they got me in and took care of my tooth quickly. The staff is amazing and really friendly, wish I lived in San Antonio because they would be my new dental office for sure!

It was rough start I got there for my appointment just to find out that it was removed and reschedule for a later date. I was really frustrated because I had made arrangements at school and work. But the staff was very nice and made time to add me to their schedule( due to their scheduling mistake) .From there everything went really great awesome personality on the staff. Trinn ( I HOPE I SPELLED HER NAME RIGHT) my dental hygienist was super nice and share a lot of her knowledge and I learned things than I didnt knew before..Overall the service was great only flaw was the scheduling part.

Dr. Beal and his entire staff were welcoming and so kind. I was an emergency appointment due to severe pain caused by a dental injury. They quickly diagnosed the situation and remedied it. I couldn’t have been happier with the services provided! And a short time later I was able to eat and swallow with very little pain. A day later the pain was gone! Thank you Canyon Dental!!

An incredible team of dental professionals that truly care about your comfort and well being. From cleanings to a crown, I’ve never had any significant pain or discomfort. They take their time making sure you understand what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Not for people who need flexibility in scheduling appointments. You try and change your appt and they bend you over for $20, even if its more than 24 hours in advance.

Every time I come all the staff is very welcoming! Dr. Beal is great and I’ve always felt like the person doing my teeth cleanings is super nice.

What can I say? No one likes going to the dentist. I had not gone in about 10 years (that’s a whole different story). When I finally deceived to go back to the dentist I came across Canyon Dental Care. I have now been going to them for about 2-3 years. Remember, I’m one of the people who don’t like going to the dentist. They have been great. I have ZERO complaints or issues with anything there. The dentists and staff are awesome. The office staff is just as awesome. They are all very friendly. In all honesty I do recommend Canyon Dental Care. The front staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I called to get a new patient appointment. The hygienist and dentist were both kind and gentle and discussed the current procedures and future recommendations for my dental care. It was a positive experience from start to finish and Ive already scheduled my follow up appointment with this office.

I had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and informative on how to take care of your teeth as well as being gentle! I had a cleaning done and told the hygienist to please be careful with one of my tooth because its really sensitive and she took the initiative of walking me through it and prepared me for the sensitive tooth and she was very gentle, it actually didn’t hurt when she cleaned that tooth! I had gone to another place previously and they were a Little rough so after that i had procrastinated for 2 years before deciding to go back in again for cleaning. In addition, while she was cleaning my teeth the orthodontist introduced himself and asked me if i had Any concerns and i had mentioned if he could’ve shaved my k9’s down because they were really sharp and i was constantly biting myself. I didn’t think he would’ve been able to do it the same day since i had only scheduled a cleaning. Once the hygienist was done cleaning my teeth they took me to the orthodontist chair and he was able to squeeze me in to shave them down and took only 5 min! I’m super pleased with how my teeth look and the whole experience! I can’t wait to go in again for my next cleaning in 6 months!!!!!

Dr Gosnell is the best! Super attentive, did my exam and got me in for a cleaning and filling the next day! Flawless work, excellent listening and communicates well in explaining procedures and never recommends something more than what you need!!!

Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The x-ray machines were uncomfortable but they seemed to be accurate. My cleaning was thorough and have already scheduled another appointment.

Honestly, I usually dread dentist appointments. My experiences have usually been not so good but not at Canyon Dental Care! Dr. Doman was so pleasant! Excellent bedside manner, very thorough, and very personable. Both the dental hygienist and technician were great as well and helped to make me feel at ease. Nice facility and professional atmosphere. They dental side of the operation is great....worthy of five stars. Dr Doman was nice professional as was the rest of the dental staff. However, the business side is poor, shady at best. I left my appointments feeling I just left a used car salesman. Extra exams and extra costs that were not going to be covered by insurance were presented in a manner that they like getting that extra coverage at a car dealership. Pretty poor handling of the customer once the dental side was done.

The staff was very friendly and helped me understand the situation with my teeth, but I really had hoped for them to clean my teeth before referring me to a specialist. I hope I can find the time and the finances I need to take care of my teeth.

Jaime was great. This was my first time going and I was greeted instantly and she was extremely thorough. The entire staff was quickly on top of everything. This used to be an amazing dentists office. But since Covid and front desk/ office manager changes it has been bad. I had an appointment scheduled since 6 months ago ( my last visit) I show up and they have no appointment for me. Even though I had both the text and voicemail confirmation from just 2 days before. They offered to have me wait an hour and a half with my 6 year old for a potential opening. I was really upset and will not be returning. It’s sad because the dentist and hygienist are AMAZING but if you can’t get in to see them what’s the point.

This place is great! I love the dentist and the staff. One thing I did notice today while getting my cleaning was that the hygienist was typing on the computer with her gloves then continued working in my mouth with the same gloves! Ive been going there for about a year now and have always had a good experience until today. But most of the time its great!

I was very comfortable at this office and with the staff which says a lot since I am a nervous patient. On my first visit I was given a tour and introduced to the staff which was a nice touch. Meeting Dr Beal and having a consultation with him was the best experience. We had actual conversation about my dental history and he fully explained my treatment plan.

Terrible experience. I came in with a small chipped tooth. Dr Beal did a decent job in the appearance of fixing it. I was having pain and discomfort so I went back. They had me see Dr Gosnell and she did not listen to my concerns instead she disregarded the things I was saying. She shaved down my natural tooth and made it look crooked and shorter. It felt like my tooth couldve chipped off completely. I was horrified when I got home and looked. I ended up making an appointment for some fillings and at that time Dr Beal was going to look at it. I was assured that he would correct it. I felt at ease knowing that he was going to look at it and had confidence that he would do his best to make it look and feel better. That was a fail. He did the least amount possible to correct her mistakes. It looks better than it did but thats not saying much. Unfortunately I have lost trust in this place. If you come here make sure they get it right the first time or when you come back they wont be interested in trying to offer you truthful options if any at all to fix it. Unfortunately I have a lot of discomfort and will need to return. All of this could have serious long-term effects. I will say that the manager has been nice and tried to accommodate me and address my concerns. I hope that when I go back the problem will be rectified and I will walk out feeling confident.

I really like Canyon Dental. I am very pleased with the pleasant staff and the atmosphere of the office. When I moved to the area 5 years ago my friend recommended this dental office and been there ever since. One of my co-workers moved to the area and I passed along the same recommendation. I also like the way they offer a warm blanket when its cold in the building.

I only travel approx 50 miles just to see her Even though other hygienists are closer She uses numbing gel to help my roots get cleaned comfortably otherwise it hurts so much. I was looking for a dentist nearby, scheduled a cleaning which ended up being a check to see what other treatment they could charge me for. I have been going to dentist regularly for over 35yrs. I would think the Dr ask questions and get to know the patient on brushing and other habits to correct first, before trying to sell me treatment that might work. I walked out and will most likely never go back or never recommend to family and friends. Unless you have a deep wallet, they are going to try and get you.

Receptionist is so sweet and remembers us even though this is just our second visit! Everyone is so kind and helpful here! They really care!

I have been to a lot of dentists and am not a fan of going, at all. However, the dentists, technicians, and other staff at Canyon Dental make me comfortable and ease the whole experience. This is the second time I’ve been to Canyon Dental. My dental hygienist was OUTSTANDING! Also the manager Jaimie is amazing! So professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I don’t write reviews often but when I have an outstanding experience I take the time to share.

My experience with Canyon Dental Care was excellent. Karin was so professional and made sure to explain everything that was happening step by step. Dr Beal was also very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. The girls at the front desk were also very pleasant and helpful. Once again, my family left with cleaner teeth! Dr. Beall and his staff are super friendly, informative and incredibly generous.Several months ago they donated cases of toothpaste and toothbrushes to assist in relief efforts for those affected by flooding in Houston. Today, they offered more cases of toothpaste which will be distributed to people here in San Antonio. Our mouths are clean and hearts are full!

Everyone there is super nice. The dentists are great and make sure you are all numb before they start, even if they have to sit and wait a bit like they did me. They make sure you are comfortable before they move forward. Jamie behind the desk is great and very helpful. They dont make you feel bad or embarrassed if you dont have ther best teeth either. Overall great group of folks.

They are pretty good at diagnosing the problem and going hard after it to solve it. Sometime though I feel they pressurize too hard to go for like Deep cleaning of teeth for which the patient may not be ready.I have seen betterment in my Dental hygiene since I have been with Canyon Dental, so I would keep them as my dentist.

As always Karin did an amazing job with my cleaning. My teeth always feel squeaky clean when I see her. 😄

My first visit was very pleasant. I enjoyed visiting with the dental hygienist. This was just a cleaning and checkup so only a little interaction with the dentist. She reviewed the X-rays and performed the oral exam. I will return for some repair work. The entire staff appeared very professional.
