These folks are amazing. I had a transmission issue they were able to let me drop it of right away. They called me back this morning to let me know that they couldnt get to my car on Monday ( I was totally fine with that, no biggie I would have for sure waited) they took care of my car TODAY and I was deeply appreciative on how they turned it around that quick! All the other transmission & service places were booked weeks out in town and the fact they saw me right away was amazing! Plus they kept me in the loop on prices and what they needed to do to get it fixed and they did not Nickle and dime me at all! They were up front and honest and insured they wanted the best safety for myself and my car!! I called around to other shops they were going to charge me $106 up to $126 just to plug in a code reader (which I already did that) but these guys waived the diagnosis fee because I trusted them to repair my car. I would have to say these guys are the best in town and they take great care of you! I will recommend this place to anyone with transmission issues!

Drove into town with my transmission light on and needed a place to go. I remember growing up and hearing the jingle honk honk double amco for all your transmission needs. And its good to know they got great mechanics in there that know their business and do a quality job. Next time Im in town and have transmission trouble Im definitely taking to them.

I first took my vehicle here for a transmission leak, then I brought it in again for an oil leak. Both times, Ben was very professional, very informative and always explained everything in detail. Took my truck to a local shop to get a transmission flush. After leaving the shop my transmission pump went out just blocks down the road due to the shop overfilling my transmission fluid by 4qrts. Did not want to make the same mistake with that shop, so I called AAMCO and spoke with Ben and Henry about it. They had my truck towed into their shop Monday and called me Wednesday afternoon to let me know she was done. Basically took them 2 days to put a new transmission in her and now she is running better than ever! If you want your transmission done right, call Ben or Henry at AAMCO.

We were traveling on vacation to western colorado from Iowa and our motorhome got stuck in 2nd gear a little west of Pueblo. All the other transmission shops said it would take 2 weeks before they could get us in and this AAMCO got us fixed up and on our way in two days. They were super accommodating and very aware that we were travelers and made us as much of a priority as they could. After the repairs we drove through the mountains and back to iowa and all the repairs held up and we didnt have any more issues. They saved our vacation!!!

Had a transmission problem that had already out foxed another transmission shop and they gave up. Took it ( GMC DURAMAX ALLISON) to AMMOCO they fixed it in 2days 1 to diagnose 1 to fix with a day or so wait for parts.

I got my transmission done there price was fair . Who ever worked on my car was messy. When I got my car back I had transmission fluid all over my hood and Underneath it.. That I had to wash my car twice to make sure I got it off. So it wouldnt eat the paint.

The problem with my getting out of park was fixed. They also took care my car door problem. They were helpful and polite. My only concern is that my radio isnt working now. Probably because they had to pull out the dashboard? I will call them and let them know.

Once the diagnosis the issue with my car, I receive a phone call with an explanation of the issue. AAMCO as helped me to finance the costs both times, and the payments are reasonable. We were on a trip pulling a camper from the flat lands of Texas to the mountains of Colorado when I thought the transmission was slipping. I stopped by AAMCO in Pueblo and Sanford Glatzel had one of his mechanics hook up his meter to read the codes. Everything checked out ok. I had a lengthy discussion with Sanford about how to tow in the mountains. I took a lot of his time and he was gracious, did not get impatient, but rather answered all my questions. And then charged me nothing. I was nervous and even thinking about cancelling our trip into the mountains, but after talking with him, I was confident and we had a fantastic trip. Thank you Sanford. I had some lights come up on my dash on a Thursday called friday morning and they were able to get me in that morning. They even dropped me off and picked me up. They didnt even have to. I went in thinking my transmission was going out. They did an engine and transmission scan and test drove it and found nothing wrong. Sanford did say they fluid was getting dark so at 99000 miles it was probably due. He could have easily told me my trani was bad and I would not have known any different. Thank you!

My truck had a few problems but the only one I wanted taken care of was an overdrive issue. They didnt try to upsell me on anything else. Only took care of the problem I requested. Really appreciate that practice. Ill return in the future with another vehicle with any transmission issues.

Wow, what can I say Julius is a saint,Took my vehicle in and about three weeks later after some trouble with the timing chain and some shipping issues , my Suzuki XL-7 is finally is back to all its glory.I can say that these guys did a really good job as the car is driving like brand new so far. *knock on wood*their customer service quality is excellent although, it cost me an arm and a leg that I stressed out for days even lost some hair in the process, at the end of the day I can say that these guys got the job done.Julius was really responsive and told me everything that needed to be done and recommended some things as well.they offered me a Few financial solutions to pay the total costs and worked with me the whole time.I see a lot of complaints about them taking a long time but, I feel it’s better they take their time on their work then to do a half job and just for you to return a few weeks later. so far, so good. They even asked me to come back in a few weeks to check on everything and make sure it’s still running fine no extra cost. While my vehicle was in their possession it had 2 windows broken out and items stolen. Their response was that they would pay for the windows and the install, nothing about the items stolen. A week later they were called and asked about windows, they proceeded to state that they would only pay half and I would be responsible for the other half. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES

He was patient and understanding while we researched options and quotes, then did everything he could to get us the best price and made it very easy for us to get the car to him - we dont live in Pueblo, so that was extremely important to us. Then he was faster than expected in keeping us up to date on the progress of the car. He made a bad car day turn into a great car repair experience.

Awesome service. Despite the fact that I had a major repair, that cost me an arm and a leg and made me stressed beyond belief, the customer service was great. They were knowledgeable, fair, and expedient. My service was completed the following day after the breakdown/tow, and I was given extra undue care at no cost to me. They were very transparent and gave me the breakdown of my service before it was complete. They gave me price comparisons on parts, and docked the price of the diagnostics when I agreed to have them fix the problem. They cleaned the area around the engine that they we fixing, and schooled me up on future preventative maintenance. I will DEFINITELY come back for service. Best repair shop in town.

I guess you can get it done fast or you can get it done right. Right? They seem to do good work and stand behind what they do. So far, Ive had to take my vehicle back twice, so well have to see whether they will get it done right. Whats for sure is they arent fast. Be aware that they will have your vehicle for at least a week, which seems weird. Why does it take so long?

I always have had great service and quality work here. Very knowledgeable mechanics. I took a 4 speed transmission here when i had trouble getting it back together. Fixed it in 20 min. Awesome thank you.

These guys deserve more then 5 stars, I was kind of skeptical about taking my truck to any shop not because I don’t trust them it’s because I’ve been a auto technician for 24 years 18 years at Ford and 6 years at car max so I’ve always been the one to work on my truck no one else has ever touched this thing in the past 8 years since I’ve purchased it... I took it in for a rear differential grinding noise, I pretty much knew what it was, they evaluated the problem even showed me while it was torn down what the problem was these guys did such an excellent job to get me back on the road now I know from experience that most transmission shops will get over on you but these guys are honest people and will work with you and the one thing that I love is the communication I didn’t have to keep calling to check on my truck, Jeff called me and kept me informed all the way... Thank you guys for doing an excellent job.

Jeff and his team are obviously very well seasoned transmission professionals. When we lost a drive shaft on our wrangler while on vacation, they were able to quickly and courteously assist us and get us back on the road, despite a national back-order on the required parts! We drove away with an upgraded driveshaft and a much smaller bill that Id anticipated.I couldnt be more grateful and I recommend these guys very highly to anyone that may have need of the services they provide.

Terrible terrible service. I brought in my vehicle to get looked at for $39.99 who the phone guy told me that’s the only charge. Then they charge me an extra $30 and fees? They also quoted me an unreasonable price for replacing a transmission so I took it to a different shop and get it repaired for half the cost of aamco...

We had trouble with the transmission on our vehicle so of course the first place we thought of was AAMCO. The guys were awesome, dealt with the warranty company, and the vehicle was up and running in a respectable amount of time.Two days ago the speed sensor was having issues and put the vehicle into limp mode. Today I got the call it was fixed, no charge as it’s under warranty, and ready to pick up.The next time we have a problem with our vehicle I know I can count on these guys to get it back up and running.

So after all most a month my vehicle was ready and after they did 400 dollars worth of non approved work which I will say they did not charge me for I was so excited to pick up my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, it was great to be getting it back I went to my vehicle when I arrived and we noticed that it had been broken into and my radio which controls a lot for this model was gone at this point the owner told me he didn’t feel at fault so who is since my vehicle was on his property, So although my work was done in my van works I’d have to say overall a lack of professionalism considering there were mixed up in the shop they tried to charge me $400 more than my deductible which they ended up not charging me and my vehicle was broken into during the time of the repairs and the shop owner apparently does not feel at fault even though it was at his shop

Went to have ac blown out and recharged. Claimed it was cold enough to hang meat. Made it 2 blocks before going back due to it blowing hot air. Popped the hood & they hadnt put caps back on & wanted to charge more. Since then Ive had to buy a hose bc thats where it leaked from & they didnt find it. So I fixed my own ac & they got paid for not doing anything

2000 buick park avenue: Refused to do the work I asked. Gave me an old wives tale about dirty transmissions, and charged me 50% of the cost of a flush for doing none of the work. The most irritating part was never even starting a conversation about doing a rebuild even though I was ready, willing, and expected to spend 3000 dollars plus. He swiped my card and wisked me out the door like I was an idiot. Naturally I would suggest going anywhere else unless you are, or like being treated like an idiot.

Yeah, theyre reliable and trustworthy, but my time is just as valuable. My van has been there for a week. Tuesday to Monday. Its been mostly fixed since Friday, but they just keep holding onto it saying theres something else. Now Im getting excuses such as there was a bad storm, or my partner is sick. In the Army, it didnt matter what the status was of the people, if it needed fixed it got fixed. Next time I will find someone who values my time a little more.

Went to get an in depth diagnosis on my vehicle including the transmission and didnt. They said a few houses and the throttle cable needed to be replaced. Just for that was almost $300 and they said they had to replace that first in order to do anything else. Not what I was expecting or thought of when talking of an in depth diagnosis.

Called many places around and found that this is one of the only shops with a Hot Flush machine. If you are putting in a new transmission, this machine should be used. Otherwise, you might have trash damaging your transmission.

Updated for clarity; the owner Sandford was able to clear up what ended up being largely a miscommunication between everyone. His genuineness for wanting to fix the situation made me reconsider how i felt about the entirety of everything. While I did not choose to have my trucks transmission fixed at this location, i will gladly give 4/5 stars just for his persistence to make things right and if that is the case, then i am sure my vehicle would have been in the best hands to get the quality job Im entitled to as a valued Aamco repeat customer. Thank you.

After taking my vehicle to a different shop to be fixed and being taken for over 2 thousand dollars I was nervous about AAMCO. I spoke with them in the office and they told me the work wouldnt be done until I was told what was wrong. When they told me I needed a new transmission we talked a while and worked out the details and my vehicle was fixed. It worked so much better. When my power steering went out they fixed that also to my complete satifaction. If I have problems with my vehicle that I know they can fix I always go back to AAMCO. I also recommend them to my lady friends because this shop didnt take this senior lady for a ride like the other 2 shops in town did.

I had my rearend on my truck repaired for what ever reason the wrong ring and pinion showed up.I was renting a car, so I had to rent the car for an additional 5 more days.AAmco did make the necessary repairs to my truck.

Excellent, professional service. We had trouble with our truck and had previously taken to another repair shop that said it was a costly repair they could not do. We were referred to AAMCO by a friend and are so very glad we were. They asked permission and gave us a quote to troubleshoot our issue. It turned out to be an odd problem, but they took a little more time to investigate and ended up repairing for a fraction of what we were told by the first repair shop.We would highly recommend them to anyone! We will definitely go back with any future repairs!

My water pump broke in Pueblo traveling through the area on orders and I was in a time crunch to get to my next stop. Jeff at Aamco was my first call because I initially thought it might be a transmission problem. He was helpful from the first call and made it an absolute priority to get me back on the road that day. He personally drove to pick up the new water pump and he and his guys had it back on and ready to go in just a few hours. Not many places care that much about customer service, and these folks certainly do. Unfortunately I’m not from the area, because if I was my vehicle would always be with the Pueblo Aamco for anything I needed done.

I totally regret choosing AAMCO at this location! It has been a pain in the butt having to return time and time again for leaks, spending hours in the waiting room, taking a old truck for a loaner while they attempt to resolve issues. One on occasion they managed to spread radiator water all over the engine compartment resulting in the smell of a blown radiator hose. I decided to try to trade my truck in for another vehicle and when dealers looked my 2008 Nissan Frontier 4x4 crew cab they didnt even want to talk about a trade in value of more than 5k. Eventually I had to take it to Nissan where they fixed the leak once and for all. Last but not least, they managed to leave the oxygen sensor wire hanging down against the driveshaft which resulted in the Service Engine light staying on, this is a 400 dollar repair since they didnt honor their warranty. Multiple times returning for exhaust issues that was never resolved which I still have a problem with since they never could or even would fix and blew me off. Sanford might be a nice guy and maybe they tried but it wasnt good enough to recommend to anyone, I spent almost 6 thousand dollars for a nightmare experience wasting too much of my time and leaving me feeling a bit RIPPED OFF. Very dissatisfied.

Took my van in cause I was leaking fluid they were very helpful Jeff one of the guys there squeezed it in and didnt try to sell me stuff I didnt need would not hesitate taking any of my cars into him and the shop. Very honest and trustworthy as well as I learned they do other work there besides transmissions

My wife and where on a six week road trip cross country. 4 days into it we experienced a warning light that the transmission fluid over heated. Having never experienced this before, we were not sure if the transmission had been damaged. To make sure I seemed out the closest Aamco dealer. When it comes to nationally known businesses, Aamco was the name I knew.The staff at the Pueblo Aamco shop was a pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest group. I explained the issue that occurred Sunday afternoon and my fears. As busy as they were this Monday morning, they took care of our car. According to our manufacturers transmission manual, the fluid had to cool to 86 degrees before they could perform diagnostics. It took time, but in the end my fears were put to rest. We were at the shop for over 4 hours. The total bill was $119.00, far less than I had expected for the time they spend.I strongly recommend this business to locals as well as travelers passing through. Thank you, Sanford, Jeff, and the shop crew. Big thumbs up!!!

While my granddaughter was visiting me, her Jeeps transmission seemed to be slipping. The Pueblo AAMCO shop got her in the same day I called, and had everything repaired by noon the next day, and luckily it was minor and not a major transmission job. Thank you Pueblo AAMCO!

US Highway 50Pueblo, CO 81008To all who are searching for a reputable car repair service provider:On Tuesday, August 14, we experienced transmission issues while driving from Colorado Springs to our home in Scottsdale, AZ. We had to drive 28 miles to Pueblo in first gear. As we were trying to drive around the city, my husband spotted an AAMCO. We decided to try them and we thank God that we did. The owner was very welcoming and though he had several cars ahead of us waiting for repair, he immediately checked out our minivan and found that the transmission fluid was dirty and decided to try changing it. It seemed to work but after we were on the highway for about 2 miles, we had the same problem. Once more we had to drive in first gear back to AAMCO. Sandford had one of his mechanics take the transmission apart and found that it needed to be rebuilt. My husband was included in inspecting the problem and the final decision. Since it would take at least 2 days to repair it, Sandford’s wife, Christina, suggested a motel that would allow our 3 dogs. It was La Quinta and it was beautiful, was a reasonable price, and offered a full morning breakfast. The grounds were perfect for walking our dogs. She drove my 3 dogs and me to the motel where we stayed for 3 days. It only took 2 days but we decided to stay an extra night, eat breakfast and go on our way in the morning. No more problems occurred!Both Sandford and his wife were so accommodating and helpful. Knowing our circumstances, Sandford put our van in a priority position for repair. One of the main reasons we are so pleased with the service was the fact that Sandford tried to use the least expensive repair (changing the fluid) instead of just jumping in and naming a boatload of repairs that were needed. This has been our experience with every repair service garage. Even rebuilding our transmission was reasonably priced in comparison to other garages. I so wish his garage was located in our city but we definitely highly recommend Sandford Glatzel’s AAMCO.
