I went with a large group of people and while most of us had a great experience with our nails. My friends got a full set of acrylics and after one full day she lost 3 nails she went to get them fixed the next day which they did but without putting the design on the fixed nail that she originally had, that same day her pinky nail cracked across the middle. By now it’s been a total of 5 days and she’s lost 7 nails. We are from out of town and it is completely ridiculous that her nails would begin breaking after 24 hours. She now has 3 nails left and she spent $60 that day. Never in my life have I seen such horrible work done.

I’ve loved this place since the first time I came here! Every tech I’ve gotten has done a great job! My little girl loves their little girl chairs so she can feel special too. But the best part..they give back to our Veterans! That’s a business I will continue to support!

This is a difficult review to write. I enjoyed my experiences while I was in the salon and the pedicures were fantastic. The nail techs took great care to make sure the designs I asked for were identical to the photos however I’m concerned that the quality of the acrylic powder may be subpar. I have now had 3 nails break and I don’t do strenuous activities that would justify the frequent breakage. The first broken nail happened within a week of my first fill and I feel I was over charged for the repair. The second break happened soon after and the third broken nail happened less than a week after my 3rd fill. I would go back to have it repaired it but the cost from the first repair and subsequent breaks make me feel it would just be a waste of money.ETA: I shared the same review on Facebook. They responded with an empty message then deleted the review.

Kelly was very gentle took her time like they all should and was very pleased with all her work. I was so relaxed I didnt even get on my phone!!! Thank you stars and stripes for your great services 💕💕💕

I’ve tried all of the nail salons in Portland and I was BY FAR happiest with Stars and Stripes. CK did my pedicure as well as my dip manicure and did a beautiful job. His attention to detail was much appreciated after being less than thrilled with my last few services at other local nail salons.

I had to go to Stars and Stripes to get my nails FIXED!! The day before I had gone to the place I have been going to for years. And they did horrible. But S&S fixed em up perfectly. They listened to every word I said. And did an awesome job at a great price. They had excellent customer service. And they made my little girl feel like a princess who got her toes painted. Loved the atmosphere there. Will not be going anywhere else!! Brown ones are the before They look like I had them done a week ago when it was the day I got them, that I took the pic.. And they were supposed to be coffin nails. They were also supposed to be red wine. Pink ones are the beautiful after ones. Thanks again S&S you guys rock!!!

My visit was horrible. I pay your prices that you have but to be told that you will have to charge me 5 extra dollars to remove gel polish that was put on from my last appointment with you guys is BS. I feel if we do not get the extra things offered you treat the customer with poor service. The staff then rushes the job giving the customer bad service. Yall are MONEY HUNGRY PEOPLE

This visit was rocky at the beginning. I had an appointment with one person (Kim) but when I got there the opening crew was just arriving and I never meet KimThe gentleman that did my pedicure was amazing and Kevin did my manicureHe was amazing as well.I don’t expect or need extrasI just want the service I pay for to be great.I appreciate the special focus on this appointment and I will be back.

Love love Hanna! She is so very understanding when she is putting on as well as taking off my eyelash extensions. I feel so pretty after I get the eyelashes! I am hooked! I also found out she does manicures as well, so I am now booking my next mani with her. Thanks Hanna, youre a gem!

I got my nails done and they were very pretty! however, my sugar glitter stayed on maybe 12 hours??? then two days after i got them done, a nail broke! the next two days roll around and another broke! i only had on my nails for a total of 6 days and they managed to all either break or chip! on top of that, my friend’s acrylics were NOT done the way she asked, nor were her toes! i spent 80 dollars on nails that didnt even last a week. i told my guy doing my nails that i believed in him, and he really told me “haha don’t believe too much!” ?! what??! i will never be going there again. i recommend ocean nails though!

I made an appointment but then a had to change is so when I called to change it they said they didn’t even have my original appointment. But Tuesday comes and we get there, the front desk lady was rude to my mother, they didn’t get my moms appointment I made as well, we waited 45 minutes in the lobby then another 30 at the chairs AFTER MAKING A APPOINTMENT. My nails aren’t what I asked for and had bumps, bubbles and some were supper thick others were super thin. My friend said she wanted long and her nail tech didn’t listen and gave her medium and reeked of weed. At the end my friends gave up on what she wanted and we all walked out very disappointed but we still gave good tipsEdit - it is 5 days later. I posted this may 15th and it’s may 20th. Still no response from the owners

The service was very nice when we went. Had two pedicures, a manicure and a princess combo(kids manipedi). My daughter was in seventh heaven in the pint size chairs. My problem was later that same day my little ones polish fell off completely!!!! Gave her a bath later that night and polish on hands and toes just started peeling off😳. Tried to call them several days after and no answer. That can not be the way theyre supposed to be! Seriously disappointed and my little girl cried.

Ive gone three times so far and every time has been great, even with different techs! The drinks are great, its super clean, tidy, and updated. Prices are excellent!

Went to get individual lashes done and was given clusters. When I told tech that I wanted twice she still did what she wanted. Not happy. Reported it and still no offer to correct it. Don’t waste your time.

Awesome service! Everyone is so patient and actually takes time with every customer. Quality is very good. Definitely recommend 10/10. Got my mani, pedi and my eyebrows waxed all together in a timely manner.

I had started going when they opened. Service was great until one day I went and Alex did my nails. They looked very pretty loved them. Within a week my nails broke and chipped. I was not doing anything to make them chip or break. Just your normal house cleaning etc. So I went back the front desk girl was so sweet and said oh no we will take care of that. Alex was not there. So another gentleman fixed them he was sweet and nice. What I didn’t like is when Alex got there he was rude making comments saying I will never see her again. I told him I’ve always gotten my nails done and this is literally the first then this has happened. Service was always great there until ALEX was really rude about it. Loved going here it was quiet and I was able to relax. Just was highly disappointed on how ALEX handled the situation and being rude about it all. Not at all what I expected from him being a new business and all. Needless to say I don’t think I will be returning. Just watch out for Alex and his attitude problem is all.

Came in with a young lady, who had a pedicure and manicure, the service was great unfortunately the nail polish all peeled of with in a few hours. And unfortunately everytime weve call to talk about it no one answers the phone.

I have been a walked in twice for eyebrow waxing. Service was quick! My recent visit, I scheduled an appointment since I was needing a pedicure and lash extensions. I get my pedicure done which was great! But once done they told me I wouldn’t be able to get lash extensions because the room was occupied. They suggested I make an appointment for another day. I had made the appointment to prevent any issues. I don’t understand the point of them confirming my appointment for both services if they wouldn’t be able to guarantee service.The salon is close to my house and I like the fact they support veterans. But the way they just pushed me out the door and weren’t Apologetic. I will not be back.

I went to do my nails exactly 12 days ago at this place because of all the good reviews amd posts online of the nail designs. I paid $80 dollars for a new set with rhinestones on ONLY 2 nails, which i feel was way overpriced. I still left a tip so a paid almost $100 altogether. Days later all my rhinestones fell off. I did reach out to someone on instagram and they offered to fix my 2 nails. However the next day i noticed all my nails were already lifting and it hadnt even been a week i had them. I dont do any hard work or labor for my nails to come off but majority of them have popped off effortlessly. I didnt even bother going back. Such a waste of money.

We had a great experience & felt so relaxed after our pedicures. The only complaint I would have is that even though we were asked twice if we would like something to drink & twice we ordered drinks, we never received so much as even a water.

I had the best service of any salon I’ve been to. They are considerate and listen to your concerns and service request. If they can assist you in anyway they are quick to do so.

The nail technician , Bee , did such an excellent job on my nails,eyelashs, and toe nails. I loved the beverages were a plus. I would recommend this establishment to my friends and family!

Over all service was excellent. My technician was Bee and she was very professional. Two days later I had to gi back because my entire overlay came off. They quickly fixed it. Six days later all my other nails are coming off.

I Walked in without an appointment and they helped me right away. Great place to come and get your nails done. Will be going back. Nice people.

Super friendly!!!! Me n my daughters drive from beeville to portland even if its an hour drive just to do our nails there, we love it. They do a great job i highly recomand this place if your looking for a good nail place defenetly come to stars & stripes Nail spa!!!!! Look for handsome michael hes the class clown of the place 🤪😀 the workers there call him Michelle 😉🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ He just likes to make people laugh that is very good laughter is a cure for the heart! Hanah thats so bad !! a while ago. I came here and she made my foot. At $ 50 she massaga very fast. I dont seem to feel that. I have been to 2 times. Equally bad 1 time forgetting hot stones and fast massage. Do not go to the 3rd.

Rachel was super rough taking off my shellac polish literally left cuts around my cuticles on 4 fingers. She then attempted to peel off my shellac with her fingers which i heard was bad to do.. I loved the set up of the salon, they had a decent selection of colors however she was just very rough and impolite.

Took my grandmother to get her nails done. The look on her face while she got pampered was priceless.

Gave up on waiting and no one noticed or cared when I left. I would suggest being more forthcoming about wait times as some of us have work and/or other commitments and can’t wait around a salon all day. Not a great impression for a new business.

Worst experience at a nail salon. I came in and my nail tech, Alex, couldn’t even glue tips on the right way. when I said something and about the nails being glued sideways and all the super glue on my fingers, He walked away, A lady came and said he had “stomach issues” And she glued on a couple more nail tips and then the manager, Andy, came to finish my nails and he rushed the whole way through at a very fast pace. All three employees had horrible attitudes and passive aggressive comments the whole time. This was horrible customer service!!
