Very nice salon, very friendly . My nails and toes are gorgeous . I’ve tried other salons in Ocala and this one is definitely the best . Eric is amazing .

Safe and clean environment, following all coronavirus guidelines. I came in as a walk-in eyebrow wax and Shanellle did an amazing job! I called back about a week later and made an appointment for nails. I get the gel dipped nails and they did a great job. My only complaint is they do not have a lot of color options for the gel dip. Definitely will be back!

So clean, and everyone wore masks and they have Plexiglas between them and the customer at every station.

Clean, friendly and very satisfied with my nails. They are following all the CDC safety guidelines. I wish however they would require all customers wear masks inside as its a small shop and one non mask wearer puts everyone in danger.

I was a customer of Essential Nails with John and Anna for 7 years. I was there 2 weeks ago, they have new owners, the nail tech gave me a disposable bag and told me to take it home, and bring it back with me next time , I have never in 7 years given any disposable nail files to take home and bring back.Next weekend I have my next appointment but if I dont get the same service and my nails cut, instead of filed like I used to with John I will be looking for another place.Channel has been great, but for the same price I expect the same service. Actually better service if the new owners want to keep my business. After 7 years I deserve it.I dont care who owns the place, I miss the music, I miss the laughter, I miss the old friendly treatment.

I like the relaxing atmosphere of this salon. They are very professional here and do my nails exactly the way I want. They are the closest nail place to where I live in Oak Run which makes the experience even better. I will keep going back and recommending them to anyone looking for a good nail place.

John n Anna...the Owners are awesome...they are truly the most genuine and sincere people that I have ever met. Luv them and their nail salon and staff.

I have been going to Essential Nails for about 4 years now. I go to the same tech for my fingers and toes. Her name is Shanelle. Shes a great lady! The owners John and Anna are also!

My wife went in to have a manicure and pedicure which was $50. She was given a new staff member. This woman spoke no English and wife came home with her toe and finger nails uneven and the polish not covering the entire nails. She tried to tell the girl that they looked awful but she didnt understand. When she told the owner. He told her to come back the next day and the same girl would fix it! The same person?! My wife told him shed accept half the money she spent back. He became irate and was yelling at her in front of the other customers stating the woman had spent an hour on my wife and she was not getting her money back. His exact words were Thats not happening for you honey.

Wonderful salon! Had my nails done elsewhere, and what a mess. Asked people with beautiful nails where they had theirs done, and it seemed like everyone was naming Anna and John at Essential Nails so I gave them a try. My nails were corrected, done to perfection, look fabulous, and now Im wondering why I wasted 2 1/2 years at the other salon when I could have been going here. HIGHLY recommend Essential Nails. I promise you will not be disappointed!!

I think I should be able to rate zero stars - they do NOT deserve 1 star!!!My daughter just went there for a half leg wax, on the phone I was told it would be $35 for both legs, which is what everyone else charges in Ocala. She had an appointment at 6:15, at 6:40 they start the waxing, that went from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and jumped to $50. I was not with her, so I feel they took advantage of her - and I will be calling everyone I can in the County to see how I can protect others from this racket. Plus, I want to see the credentials of the one who did the waxing, since she came home with hair patches and wax still on her legs. Its pretty horrible to take advantage of a minor!

Not only was I lied to about the amount of time it would take to get my legs waxed, but I was also lied to about the price. I was informed that it would take 30 minutes and only $35 for both legs half waxed. Although they were very nice over the phone and worked me in last minute, it was misleading. I was told to be there at 6:15 and the place had only one lady who was working. I sat for a little over 15 minutes and then was seen. It took her 2 hours to complete only half of my two legs. And, they charged me $50, $25 for ONE LEG. Not only was I mislead but I had to hold my leg up to the light and show her each place she had missed, given I have fair hair, but it should not be my job to do your job. I was highly disappointed with this place and if I could select zero stars I would.

Love this place and the people BUT they are VERY expensive and when they decided to tell me their rates went up for the service i have gotten every 2 weeks for about 2 years AFTER i had my nails done ,,, i was done with them!! i think they could have, at least, told me before the service about the rate hike and let me make the decision whether i still wanted them to do my nails. not good business!!!
