I took my 1978 Firebird to general auto to have new exhaust installed and some A/C work to finish up a LS2 swap, long story short, after having the exhaust installed I had them try to start the car for the first time and found that the harness I installed was completely incorrect for the car. Troy and Edgar helped me work through all of the issues that came up because of this and got the the car up and running great! Troy is one heck of a knowledgeable man his prices are amazing he’s never let me down. I refer everyone to him because I know that he will take care of them right. There’s no other mechanic in the valley I would take my vehicles to. He did a cage in my race car came out perfect. Did an exhaust on my Silverado sounded perfect just what I wanted. I will keep referring people to him over and over and over because I know he will take care of them and charge them exactly what it should be no ifs, ands or buts it’s never over priced.

I needed some tires for my car that were special order items. All other resources I tried stated it would be months before they were available.Troy and his team have helped me in the past with exhaust work so I thought I would try them for my tires. He was very busy when I stopped by but he took the time and found me the tires after hours while at home. Instead of months Troy had the tires in his shop 1 1/2 weeks later. I dropped my wheels off in the morning on my way to work to get them mounted and received a call back before I even made it to work. They were ready for pick up. Keep in mind they are a exhaust/mechanic shop not a tire store. Words can not describe how grateful I was for Troy to help me out. I never take time to leave reviews for businesses but I had to this time. I have recommended General Car & Exhaust to many friends and colleagues in the past and ALL of them were impressed by the professionalism and courtesy his team provided. I did notice a rash of bad reviews recently posted to Google reviews that can only be explained by 1 bad apple that had a few of their internet social posting warriors trying to bring a good business down. This tactic never works against a good business and will not work now. My guess is a customer that flopped on the ground and threw a fit like a 3 year old. A internet expert who routinely pays for winter air for their tires and a quick fill of his/her blinker fluid at other shops had a beef about the diagnosis and cost of a repair from a mechanic with decades of experience along with the time it would be done. Like my Grandpa always told me Never eat at a restaurant that is not busy at lunch time and never go to a mechanics shop that does not have other customers cars waiting for service.

Awesome people, great prices and great workmanship! They stand behind their work! Was out of state and heard about Troy, took my truck there and they were able to fix it. It needed head gaskets, glow plugs, fuel filter, fan clutch and more. . . Being from out of state, Troy gave me the confidence they could do the job and that they did. Truck drove flawlessly back home pulling our trailer. Call them if you want great work and good prices, he will be honest.

Awful company. Yelling at, cursing at, belittling customers, calling them awful names. Can’t get the job done right, can’t get it done in the time promised, lying about work that was never done, and over charging. Terrible business, terrible people. Take your business literally anywhere else.

Just got the exhaust system on my 69 Camaro replaced from the headers on back. The 2 1/2 pipes with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers is the perfect setup! The best part of the exhaust is the sound! Its way better than I could have hoped for or imagined! Troy and his entire crew did an awesome job! Im extremely satisfied with this shop, the job they did and would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation. AAA+++ all the way!

I hate to leave a bad review bc the owner seemed cool but after waiting and no reply to the shoty work I’ll share my story. Took my van in for a full exhaust, met the guy who was going to do the work and I made it clear to him to keep the exhaust as far away from the airlines and bags as possible. Didn’t bother to check for a few weeks since they seemed trustworthy, that was my mistake. The welds look horrible and the exhaust was ran so it sat up against the air line putting a hole in it. $630 and this is the shoty work I get. Lesson learned I will never go back

Wasnt sure where exactly to take my car to be looked at since I wasnt too sure what the problem was, and I came across General Car & Exhaust. The reviews were great which is why I decided to stick with them. Took my car in and they found and fixed the problem within a couple of days (wheel bearing). Very affordable prices and I loved how I was walked through every step of the way. Will be back for any future car needs!

This place did an extremely nice job putting a dual exhaust system on my 51 Chevy Truck. Fantastic people, stuck to the estimate, and did it in a short period of time... Took my maxima up there for a quick inspection. The vibes I get from the owner and employees are exceptional. Quality customer service at competitive pricing. I will never take my vehicles to another shop outside of this one.

Went there to have a wheel bearing replaced. The service was great and came at the price I expected. A few months later the same bearing started acting up again and the replaced it free of charge. Would definitely recommend!

The service and quality of work was amazing! We did have a bit of a mishap where the ending cost was over double the initial quoted amount, however the supervisor was very nice about the situation and happily correct the cost of repair to the initial quoted price. Definitely recommend this place and if I need further mechanical repairs in the future, I will definitely be coming back!

Troy did a couple jobs for me and he has never disappointed me. Always up front, doesnt do the work unless he checks with you first, and his prices were half of what I was quoted at other shops. Short Story, Awesome people and Awesome prices, In a day and age when its hard to find a mechanic you can trust, its nice to find a good honest shop.They worked on my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, These cars are known to be pain in the rear and hard to diagnose. They managed to fix all issues on the car and for 1/4th of the price of a dealership with workmanship that far exceeded any dealership I have been to in recent memory. They even took the time to sit with me and point out some of the other things that were going wrong and let me deiced if I wanted those fixed. Over all awesome experience, car runs awesome and will take it and my other vehicle to them when mechanical work is needed.

They took my exhaust off in less than 3 minutes literally!! And fair prices. Of course ill be back with them next time
