Great job repairing my motor home drivelines by eliminating a short drive shaft that was corkscrewing under load and rebuilding it with two. All vibrations eliminated and a smooth ride….the best!

I have a 2001 Ford F-250, “The Orange beast”, I was having issues with noise coming from the rear axle. I was quoted by another shop over 3k for direct replacement on everything inside the axle. I then found Idaho drive train, I scheduled a day for them to review the issue. They determined that it was just bearings in the rear axle. They communicated very well, and fixed my issue for a less than a 3rd of what the other shop quoted me, and replaced the bearings. I would highly recommend this crew, they did a great job for my F250. I would definitely recommend and will be going back for future repairs that are out of my skill level.

I thought I needed a repair on my U Joint for my PTO. They looked at it and told me I didnt. Measured and assured me it was right. Gave me advice on how to clean it up and get it to work. Sent me home without charging a dime, but they were right, it worked great. Thanks.

I give this company a 5 star rating for pricing, attentiveness to the customers needs, promptness in scheduling and completion of work, and sharing of helpful knowledge that reduced my overall cost.I was referred to Idaho Drive Train & Differential as an alternative to replacing the driveshaft in my Ford F250 Super Duty 4X4, with a new product, by a local parts retailer. After much research, including contacting multiple retailers within my area, I realized my options for replacing the Driveshaft were both very limited, and expensive, (purchasing from a vendor Online and waiting for shipment delivery, @ about $900 to $1000 for the shaft & Pinion yoke, plus any labor costs). As most people realize, whatever kind of shop work thats performed, is vehicle, Make, Model, and type of damage repair specific. So your *costs* may vary from mine. However, Customer service and professionalism in quality work, has an equally equitable value. Youll see this from this shop!Lastly, sharing helpful knowledge, that reduces the cost of calamities like what I experienced, was a step above as well from Idaho Drive Train.I suspected since my truck was a 4X4, I may be able to engage the 4X4 and drive it the 25 miles to the shop, with the rear drive line removed, and eliminate the cost of having it towed to the shop. In my F250 specific drive equipment, Brent confirmed that indeed I could! Very helpful!Give them a call. I saved several 100s of dollars and have like new Drive components!

Drove motorhome over with the expectation that the universal joints would need to be replaced because grease was not flowing evenly to all of the bearing grease caps. Brent inspected the driveline and then grabbed his Dewalt grease gun and was able to get the grease to flow evenly. No charge. Awesome experience.

I typically like to do my own automotive repairs... let’s just say I don’t trust just anybody to work on my vehicles. I tore into the front differential on my 99 Chevy Suburban and about half way through the job I realized I didn’t have the tools I needed to finish putting it back together. I finally decided to take it in to Idaho Drive Train to have them finish putting it back together and I couldn’t be happier with their work. In less than 24 hours it was ready to go back into my rig. They are very friendly and have excellent customer service. Don’t hesitate to use them for all your drivetrain needs.

Needed an inspection. Spoke with Brent, expected to spend a substantial amount of $$ as I have been suspecting bad u-joints. They lifted the Jeep on the rack and checked everything I asked them to check, including the differential fluids, and more. Gave me some suggestions, showed me some stuff underneath, and said I would eventually need to change out a CV joint, but they didnt charge me for any of that. These guys are nice, knowledgeable, professional, and very fair. I highly recommend them.

Not impressed. Made an appointment and took my vehicle in a day early and left it. I was told it would be moved to a secure area. Never got a call the next day. So the day after my scheduled appointment I called and was told they forgot to do the scheduled work and then asked where I parked it. So it was never moved to the secure area. When I went to get the vehicle the bill was for more than what I was told it would cost. They did adjust the bill. Organized confusion should be their slogan.

Wow!!!! I could not be more impressed and surprised by the service, price, respect, and honesty that Brent and his staff have given me. Let me tell you why...First, I took my RV to Brent on the advice of another fine business, Economy Transmission in Boise, and I expected to pay an arm and a leg for my drive train to be serviced. Well, that was not the case with these guys. Brent came back and gave me two options, the first (the permanent solution) was a little more than I wanted to spend because Im selling it., but then he offered me a second option for $80. Eighty dollars!?!? I took that option. Then on top of the ridiculously low price, he accidentally bumped my RV with something and not only let me know about it, but he also fixed it perfectly when it probably didnt even need to be fixed. The drive train repair was done professionally and I do not foresee it ever being an issue again. This guy and this business are an amazing example of how businesses used to be and should be. Kudos to them...Amazing!!!!!! By the way, I am in no way associated with Idaho Drive Train, I dont work there or have an interest in the company and I have never written a review of a business on here before, but my experience prompted me to make sure that everyone else knows that these are truly quality people.

We took our new 2016 F150 Lariat in for a new exhaust system. We wanted a dual exhaust behind the rear wheels with an 18 Magnaflow muffler with the stock resonator left on. They fabricated an exhaust system as per our specs and it really turned out great! The sound is fantastic, just what we wanted. They were very professional and easy to deal with, all in all a terrific experience. The workmanship was just super. We highly recommend this company and the fellows that work there. The price was much lower than the exhaust kits that you can order online. Great company and great people.

I had them put new universal joints in my front axle shafts ( I removed them). They were able to install new Spicer u-joints the same day. Their prices are very reasonable and they do quality work. I will use them in the future for any driveshaft or differential work I may need done. Both guys I talked to were very polite and professional.

I was looking for some spicer brand u-joints and strap kits for my pickup and couldnt find them in any of the usual parts stores in town, so I looked online and it looked like it was going to be around 80 bucks for the parts plus shipping and waiting a week. I gave Idaho Drive train a call just to see if by chance they carried spicer products and luckily they did. They did not have the exact ones I was looking for in stock so they ordered them and had them in the next day! I fully expected to pay somewhere around 100 dollars for everything thinking that there was no way they could be cheaper than Summit racing. I was very pleased when I picked up all of my parts for 55 bucks. It was great to have a positive customer experience with a smaller shop like that.

Said that they fixed my 4 wheel Drive on my truck and that it worked. It snowed 30 days later and I went to use my 4 wheel Drive and it didnt work, the problem was worse than before. So I took my truck back in to see if theyd fix it under their 60 day work warranty, and they refused trying to say it is now a transfer case issue and they dont work on those. So $1,100 down the drain with these guys and now my truck is worse off than before. What a rip off.
