They began by clearing out a suspected clog which turned out to be a completely broken pipe. The project ended up being handed over to the city as a city line issue, but everyone from Roto-Rooter was very professional and friendly and took time to talk with me and explain everything as they were going along.They even were on my side when the city showed up and ended up saving me a ton of money. I was so blessed to get Jason as my service technician. I needed my water heater moved in order to have foundation repair work done. Jason was called in at the last minute to provide that service, not knowing all of the details that were worked out with another Roto-Rooter technician. Jason came out and tried every possible way to troubleshoot and repair my existing water heater. After his second trip, a new water heater was needed - he made sure to get it done for us the same day!He was extremely nice, professional, worked efficiently, and made sure to stick around to ensure that the new water heater was working properly. Had emergency water leak in bathroom. Came out same day and repaired the leak. That evening a field supervisor came out to assess water damage. He started the process right away with our insurance company. The next day, the clean up crew was here to place drying fans and prepare for roof repair. Everything was dry within 48 hours. They will remain the contact person with my insurance. Outstanding experience all around.

They did an amazing job of cleaning up the water damage and removal of all the carpeting and padding in my basement due to a failed sump pump after a huge rainstorm. The two men who did the work did an excellent job from start to finish! They were precise, professional, and friendly! I felt at ease with them here doing all that work.Since the sump pump had failed and caused the water to flood the basement I also had to have a sump pump pit brought up to grade…so a bigger and deeper hole had to be dug in the basement floor. Also a new pump and new piping to the outside. The Roto Rooter guy, Jesse, did an amazing and professional job! Thanks Jesse!

Excellent, professional service. Rob successfully jetted several drains channeling water away from gutter downspouts. We weren’t sure where the water drained (grass had grown over the outlets) but now know and rest easier knowing the drains are clear and water is moving away from the house. Highly recommend.

Daniel was friendly, capable and did the work fast. Rotorooter kept me informed about his expected arrival time, which even though it was later than the original arrival window, worked out okay. He unclogged my upstairs bathroom sinks in a short time and they now work fine. I will definitely use them again.

Had a main line clog. Called rooter rooter to come out and tried using the snake first. That’s where Dwayne came in and explained everything to me and tried for a while to get it unclogged. Then the next option was the water jet and that’s where Jim came in. After getting everything set up and explaining to me what he was doing he worked the issue and believes it’s been cleared. Both of these guys took the time to explain stuff to me and how things worked. They also took the time to tell me what’s next if this doesn’t work. I can’t thank them enough for coming out so quickly. Very professional and cleaned up after themselves which is a definite plus.

Jim did an amazing job clearing our basement floor drain! He quickly found the cause of the clog, an old brass plug wedged in the P-Trap, and nimbly removed it. Amazing customer service and immediate response. We had a sewer line blockage that caused a whole house backup. Keith S was dispatched to our house, promptly and professional explains all that could be done to identify and solve the problem, informed us of all possible outcomes and got to work. He solved the problem and cleared the clog very quickly, and with help from the video team identified the cause of the clog, a broken cast iron pipe in desperate need of repair. We called for our bathtub and kitchen sink not draining. We live in an old house and have had to have the main line cleaned out previously. They gave me a two hour window at 7pm to come fix it. At 9:30 I called and they said I was still on their list. At 10:30pm I called back to reschedule for the morning since I never heard back. I asked for a first thing appointment since I had been waiting all night and she said she couldn’t guarantee that and could get someone there between 9-11am. Then I was told because they never came the night before they could do 8-10am. The technician came at 10:30am and cleaned out the main line as suspected. The technician was great! The price was twice as much as the company we used previously! When I informed him of this he told me about a coupon I could find online which saved me some money but I still ended up paying $70 more than with the other company that did the same exact thing. I would definitely shop around before counting on RotoRooter.

In an emergency main drain situation, you taught me a lot about plumbing and wise choices when buying a home (always do a plumbing inspection!) which I would have bought anyway a couple years ago, Im quite sure. They were prompt, efficient, determined, communicative, polite, understanding, and even helped me catch my dog when she got put once. I knew this company might not be the least expensive, but since I had little experience, I called the one with the highest reviews, and once I met them and saw the first work, I stayed with RotoRooter for the really big project of replacing the line out to the street (and my part under the street.) They were more than fair and absolutely professional.

The tech stated he didn’t have the right equipment and would probably have to remove the toilet to fix. Priced at $2000+. He charged me $159 to tell me he couldn’t fix it. I called a local plumber he came and it was fixed in 15 minutes. At a lower price!!!!

It took slightly longer than our quoted appt. window for a technician to come out, though we didn’t have an urgent issue (standing water with clogged drain). However, when the technician arrived he was very kind, courteous, and knew how to resolve our issue quickly. Would highly recommend their services and will use in the future if needed.

Before I get into typing about the experience I received I did want to mention that when I made this appointment the day before I was told that it was a 10:00 am appointment with a four hour time frame. I said that was fine. Well the day of no one called by the 4 hour time frame. I gave them an extra half hour before I called. Once I got to talk to dispatch they said sorry and that they had someone to send out it would be 20 more minutes. Well I told them okay as we had been without water for almost 24 hours. Once the person got here he was polite. He knew exactly what the issue was as soon as he saw it. Told us the price it could potentially be, and we said go ahead. His name is Hunter and I would recommend him.

I felt the work was overpriced but we didn’t have a choice to take the time to shop around since we had a water leak. The technicians didn’t put my garage back the way it was when they arrived, and they ruined a shoe in the garage by running over it with the lawn mower when they moved the mower. Positives were that they were friendly and the work was done quickly.

A very nice man named Kevin came to my house. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem with my toilet that wasn’t flushing properly. I ended up having to have a new toilet installed. He did everything he could to keep the cost down. I will not hesitate to call Roto Rooter again. Kevin was wonderful!

Guy was nice & did a quick good job. Only problem was when I was told he would be there in 30 minutes it was over an hour later. Plus he installed a wrong size shut off so now I have to go buy an adapter/reducer. Overall ok but not great.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They all work on commission and tell you one price and then screw you around after they nearly triple it then threaten to send you to collections. I have asked for bosses and supervisors names and they claim they dont know their bosses names. Would love to speak to someone in management but they wont call me back.

We had a problem with the main line backing up downstairs in the basement so we had them send somebody out to snake the line. The technician that came out (Noah) was very professional and very respectful and courteous. He was very quick and the entire process was painless and hassle free. Overall, through my experience(s) I’d recommend this company to anybody. Especially if the rest of their employees are anything like Noah.

My service today was exceptional! Jason and his partner were competent and professional. They were aggressive when trying to locate the problem. The technician was super helpful and gave a lot of advice. He managed to unclog a grease build up that another plumbing company couldnt get. My house is very old and has a bad plumbing for the drain line with 5 elbows, but he was able to get it fixed. Wish I wouldve called sooner. They charged me a flat fee and it was a reasonable price, and it also has a 6 month warranty. I was able to schedule them to come out within 3 days.

I called Roto Rooter late afternoon on a Friday, they informed me that they would have a technician at my house in 45 minutes to 1 hour. I dont think it was barely 20 minutes and their technician was here. Keith was very professional, knowledgeable, and had my issue fixed in a short time. The prices were great and a six month warranty on fixing a clogged drain. I would recommend this company for any plumbing issue.

We couldnt be happier with the service we received with Roto-Rooter. The guys showed up, got right to work and made great progress the first day. Sadly, weather got in the way and they had to come back the following week due to rain. But come back they did. They were courteous and professional the whole time. On top of fixing the issue we had, they added the unused fill to fill in some holes in the yard. Plus they figured out a way to make the repair to our sewer line WITHOUT tearing our driveway up. I made an appointment for between 11AM and 1PM, and I was told that I would be contacted 30 minutes prior to arrival. With that in mind, I cancelled my plans to go to the lake for that day and made sure to be no where in the city more than 30 minutes away. I made multiple follow-up calls throughout the day, only to be told that I’ll be called when they’re 30 minutes away. Though they were vague regarding my expected wait time, the reps were very polite.Finally, around 8:30PM, a service person showed up. Luckily, the service person, Skyler, was very helpful and polite.I understand if appointments are taking longer than expected, but you’d think that if things were looking to where an appointment would be 7.5 hours delayed, then someone would notify you.Overall, Ill give props for politeness, but I was very frustrated with the scheduling system.

Absolutely horrible customer service by the technician. The technician was cussing like a sailer in front of my customers. Quality of work was horrible and extremely overcharged for the poor quality of work done! The tech even had one of my employees go outside, climb up ontop of the air conditioning unit and press against the tin while he drilled a hole blindly from the inside of the building. Major safety issues! She could have fallen or he could have got her with the drill, not being able to see where he was drilling! He Left a mess and did not clean it up and told another employee of ours we had to fill the oversized holes ourselves that he drilled in our wall to run a pipe outside! HOWEVER, the issue was resolved within a day, after we called the corporate office and spoke with Tom. He was very understanding and professional. He listened to everything we had to say and made it right. We are happy with the way he handled the issue.

We woke up to a smelly drain backup in our kitchen sink on Saturday morning. After plunging and getting nowhere - I called Roto Rooter at 1pm and Keith was here at 2:30. He advised me that he could clean the drain line and showed me the service price list. I had found a coupon online and he honored it. The job was done in an hour and he then spent time cleaning up the relatively little mess. Keith observed all Covidprecautions and used effective disinfectant for cleanup. I did not expect this emergency weekend household service call to go so well. Money well spent. Keith and Roto Rooter are the real deal professionals.

The employee was very nice and efficient. The problem is the astronomical price they quoted, well over $300. The plumber was here for no more than 30 minutes (unclogged drain). This is greed at its worst. So much for being a caring member of the community. Gouge and take as much as you can. I can only imagine those on a fixed income or making minimum wage.

The team was very helpful in identifying an issue with our main sewer line (which had been punctured when the gas company installed a new gas main line). They also did a great job of explaining all the steps in the process to resolve the issue. Very helpful!

Kevin was the service technician and was very professional and efficient. Had the drain unclogged in 5 minutes. Now the “under side”. Tech was 2 hours late. Not his fault as Roto Rooter schedules out of a Chicago call center. I asked the call center what the charge would be for unclogging a drain and was told each job was different so she could not give me an estimate. When Kevin showed up he quoted me almost $300 and said it was Roto Rooter’s standard charge for unclogging a drain. So the Chicago person knew full well the charge and had I known I would have called another company. So I paid close to $300 and the drain was cleared in 5 minutes. Really unfair pricing and borderline dishonest. There must be a reasonable and honest plumber out there somewhere.
