Big Rays is an amazing shop. I have recently turned to them as my main service provider. They are always fast professional and super friendly. My experience has always been wonderful. Tim and Sam went out of there way to make sure I would be traveling safely and I appreciate them and this wonderful business.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience while getting a quality service. The staff is genuine and very personable created a quick, painless and enjoyable time. Coming from out of town I was somewhat worried about getting an oil change but I’m happy to say I’ve found the place I’ll go back to every time moving forward!

Id leave a 10 star review if I could. About a week ago, I went in for an oil change. Rather than going along with the motions, taking my money, and sending me on my merry way... Sam went above and beyond to point out that I had a minor leak in the pan, showed me the leak, and provided a quick estimate on both time and cost on the spot. Unsure about whether or not I wanted to replace the part on my own, Sam provided the company business card and told me to call if I decide to go with them.Fast forward to today. Oil leak wasnt going to fix itself and I didnt make the time during the week. After calling to confirm they were available, these guys managed to not only squeeze me in on a busy, scorching hot Saturday afternoon - but they did it with smiles and a positive attitude! Even better, the total price was less than what was originally quoted!Ive been bringing my vehicles here for years for oil changes and more, and I have yet to have a bad experience. These guys have always been informative about whats going on beneath the hood of the vehicles during the servicing while keeping the customers best interests in mind. 10/10 establishment, have recommended and will continue doing so. I have been having several issues with my truck so I go where I get my oil changed. Big Rays :) they went above and beyond to help me fix my brake calipers and suggested everything I needed. Thier very professional and helpful.

I always take my car to Big Rays! They are very professional and fast. Went in for an oil change today and they asked to check my air filter. They said it looked good and didn’t need to be replaced. It’s very reassuring to go somewhere that values honesty and doesn’t replace things unnecessarily. They are so polite, I wouldn’t take my care anywhere else!

Extremely friendly and helpful, got me in early to change my brakes and let me watch Netflix while I waited. I was 3$ short in cash for my total, offered to pay the rest by card but was told not to worry it. Thanks guys :)

Wow!!! This place is amazing and the guys working there are so kind!!! I ended up in an emergency type situation and needed new brakes ASAP. Im traveling and did not have an appointment. Sam, the owner, got me in right away on a Saturday morning and replaced my brakes. He was amazing, and also fixed my broken parking brake and rotated my tires. Car trouble gives me major anxiety but thanks to Sam and the rest of the guys there, they treated me like part of the family. Extremely polite and professional. I would not hesitate to bring my car back to them for more work. Thanks again Sam for squeezing me in and getting my brakes fixed so quickly! You just secured a new customer! Thank you!!

I like this place. Generally quick and efficient, except when half a dozen people want an oil change at the same time. Plus, if you can remember the punch card, the fifth oil change is half off.

The team at Big Rays is second to none! I got a flat tire and pulled into Rays to get it filled to give me time to get to the tire store. They were friendly, sympathetic and above all happy to help me out. They refused to even take a tip! Top notch operation!! Exceptional service and demeanor from everyone on staff. Would never go anywhere else unless I have to. Would rather give them business for little things than do them myself.They fit me in last second in the middle of the day to put on brand new brakes, and smack off 4 rusted on rotors, and did it all happily.I Highly recommend this place to people with zero experience, as well as those who know about their cars. They are honest and upfront about everything they may be doing, explain the process if you need them to, and dont try to get any more out of you than you want.

Sam and his staff are OUTSTANDING! We took our work truck in for brake service. He told me what others have told me, that my brakes were “ok” that they were safe but squeezing because the previous owner likely put cheap pads. The squeaking was very annoying and appeared very unprofessional in front of clients. We trusted Sam and his crew to get this done for us on short notice as we were taking a trip. I’ve done my own brakes in the past but I didn’t have the time to deal with it and not to mention it was less than $100 to have them installed. Totally worth it. We love our new brakes. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!We went in today for an oil change and they checked our filters and LOOK at our cabin air filter!!! I have been meaning to change this and just forgot. These guys are the best!!

Went in on 6.11.21. Was greeted by a guy named Young, who I explained too it was my first time coming to a place like this. He was nothing but professional and nice, explained how it worked and made sure I was taken care of. It took him a grand total of 7 minutes to change my oil and filter, and since I brought my own stuff (Oil and Filter) it racked up to 20 bucks. I tried to offer him a 5 dollar bill as a thanks for being so cool, and he said no, just to leave him a good review. Well here you go my man, keep being awesome!

By far the best most professional establishment I’ve ever been to. The employees were kind and did not take advantage of the fact that I was an uneducated (about cars) female. They went above and beyond fixing up my VW so I was comfortable driving it again. I am a customer for life.

I work out of my car and get oil changes about once every month and half all throughout Michigan. What I liked best with my experience today was not trying to be up sold on stuff that I didn’t need. The employee working in the pit came up to speak with me about how dirty my oil filter was. Normally I have to ask to see the old one just out of curiosity and to see how dirty the oil was or if it was even changed or not from the previous shop. Thank you Big Rays for the great service and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Howell !!

Went in for an oil change because the place I normally go to was closed for the day. Called ahead to ask if they were still open and asked about pricing. Very professional and gave good information. When I went in there they changed the oil in less time than expected, got it done for the lowest price possible, and even replaced the washer nozzles on my vehicle because I had the parts but didnt have the time to do it. And that was a free addition. They truly impressed me and will continue to get my buisness and hopefully yours too. Its so hard to find honest places like that any more.

Listen it is very simple. You own a business and that business can have ups and downs. It is normal. But what makes Big Ray’s special? The owner Sam and his staff. Why? Because they treat you right no matter what happens. I mean all you have to do is talk to the owner and he does his job and does it with passion. Sam is an all around good guy, family man and hard worker. It really shows and you will see that if you talk to him. More businesses would stick around if they had an owner and staff like Big Ray’s.

Best place I could possibly recommend, I was going to get a transmission fluid change and he recommended no because it was still good. Replaced both serpatine belts but only charged me labor on one since the both had to come off... Cant say enough about how friendly and honesty they are to deal with

I went here the other day for an oil change and was nervous as I have never gone by myself to get one done, however the staff were absolutely amazing & explained everything they were doing as well as showed me the filter that they were exchanging. They even topped off my windshield wiper fluid as well as putting air into my tires. Truly the kindest people i’ve met!!

I can not express how much I love this place! they are beyond kind. I have been going for years and feel like part of the crew. They are always taking time out to answer any questions and even put paw patrol on the TV during the oil change for my children. and they have suckers which make every child happy. The best to go sam was amazing guy went in for an oil change and sam looked at my brake and was like you need them done now after I been to many place and told me that I was fine. He showed me how bad they were and even let me watch him replace them and step by step what he was doing. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! I was nervous going to get my oil changed, but right when I pulled in, I felt relieved. The guy who worked on my car Tim, was super nice and super helpful. I didn’t have to know anything about my car. I just pulled in and he took care of everything. And even topped off all my liquids and aired my tires for me! And it was really cheap! The other guy in the shop was really kind too!Great business, great people, great prices!

I have been taking my diesel pickup to Big Rays for several years.. They have done almost all of my oil changes from 0 - 250k+ miles and counting! Air conditioning blower (fast - on the hottest day of summer), headlight replacement, brakes, batteries, pretty much all my vehicle maintenance..I recently purchased a used vehicle, and within a few days I had oil in my driveway.. I called Sam and told him what transpired and asked if he could take a look at it, he basically diagnosed it over the phone, ordered the part and replaced the oil filter housing.. No more leaks !!They also took the time to run through the vehicle.. As it turned out it desperately needed rotors, and pads (Pads were recently replaced elsewhere, however, ruined due to the rotors being so bad) and a cabin filter that I didnt even know existed 🤮Now I can actually drive my second vehicle - thank you all so much !!!I highly recommend these guys !!

I got a oil change on 04/20/21. This has been my 2nd time there since moving to the area and each person I ever dealt with has been friendly, patient, and never pushy. They did not make me feel like I didn’t know anything (which I didn’t haha). They even took time to lube up my latch for my hood before I left. Highly recommend!

Very friendly honest like family. The owner and his team are the best! My car was idling/running rough and I was having loss of power. Almost every time I came to a stop at an incline my car would start shaking RPMs cavitating like a seismometer. I was banging my head on the wall trying to figure out what was wrong. I brought it to Sam at Big Rays in Howell Michigan. Sam scanned my car got the code and new right away what the issue was. I cannot convey how much gratitude and appreciation I have for both Sam and his team. They care about your well-being, and have taken good care of my car and I. We are new to the area and pleased to find such a highly rated place to take our business. The prices quoted for an oil change at other local places were about $65-70.00 but Big Rays was just over $22! We decided to get our transmission flushed and the surprise discount was such a blessing! We plan on taking all our business to Big Rays and encourage you to check them out!

Aired up my tires without asking, topped off my fluids without asking. Sam was great. Tim was great.

Everytime i go there they make sure to be quick and they also check my tire pressure for free and fill it up. There is never any rude workers they are always considerate

The staff here was absolutely amazing. Super welcoming and their #1 objective was to have me satisfied. All Oil change businesses need to model themselves after the way Big Rays does business... Customer service is the #1 factor for me.. I am always greeted with friendly smiles, they have answered questions Ive had throughly and intelligently.. and never have they tried to unnecessary sell me on anything that I have not needed for any of my vehicles, unlike other oil change businesses that more often than not, try to sell the air filters.. wiper blades..ect.. Hours of operation are convenient as well .. 5 stars for me ..

I cannot even express what a great place this is! Sure they do a great oil change, but did you know they do all kinds of repairs from power steering to brakes. I just took my car in expecting a huge bill for brakes and they said, nope, it was just a rock. How awesome is that?? Totally honest group and the owner Sam is literally the nicest man EVER! He even sponsored a local girls hockey team. You must go to Big Rays for all of your auto needs and car wash too!

This was the best experience Ive ever had at a quick oil change place. I came in for a simple oil change and they pointed out that something was wrong with my calipers (at this point I could smell my brakes burning and knew they werent BSing me). I explained my time constraints because my brother-in-law would be borrowing my car the next day and they said I could come back right before close to see if they could do something quickly, so I did. When I came back they discovered my calipers needed to be completely replaced and showed me their reasonings for it. They worked above and beyond to get me new calipers put on THAT DAY in less than an hour and worked after their closing time. Im so grateful for them and how much effort they put in for a complete stranger.

Went in to get a oilchange nothing wrong with my car when I took it in there. But when I left a day later my car was leaking oil. Went back they said it was leaking and didnt know from where and that they couldnt fix it. Went to my repair man to have it looked at come to find out it was a oil pressure sensor and they at looking at it would have know this was the problem. So mad after$100 later, lesson learned. Will never return to this buisness.,as I dont want more repairs on my new car.

I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. I moved to jackson (1hour away) and still drive out just to see them. I dont trust anyone else to do my oil change, not even me. Best part is they do way more then just oil changes!
