I brought in a 50 year old turntable which needed parts that are no longer made. It was a little out of my price range to fix it here but the owner worked with me on being able to pay for it and help me understand why it was going to cost with a cost me. Amazing customer service! For being a small business I understand the hard work it takes to keep a business running especially during this economic climate and era of a pandemic. Being flexible on the cost it’s a risk for the small business to take but it only speaks towards the amazing customer service.

Took my 1997 Sony Camcoder (old VCR camera) to get repaired. This was the only place in town where they said they could fix it. Took them a week but camera came back looking and working better than ever!Highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Good fast service, his initial $80 was comped in the final bill. It has been a week and the TV is working as before without any hassle. Tom also hooked me up with old silicone circuit boards for my hobby projects, which was nice of him.

They fixed the circuit board for our treadmill, badly damaged by movers. I wasnt able to find a replacement board online, thought the treadmill might be a goner. United VTR fixed it fast and for a reasonable price, highly recommended!

I took my marantz 4K receiver in to United VTR. They did a great job fixing it. Couple years ago I had another receiver go bad and they repaired it as well. It is still going strong!

My mom had an old Sony Camcorder that would eject tapes and I had found this place on google. We went in and it was $80 dollars to evaluate and then the owner called you back to let you know how much the cost to repair would be. Owner was very kind and gave us a good price for repair. Repair took about a week and he made it a point to say that if our camcorder was still not working that we could bring it back in. Would highly recommend.

I was so happy to find this place. I have an older Sony camcorder that would not play or eject tapes. I knew it was an older technology and was worried that it was a lost cause. To my surprise United VTR Services told me to bring it in and were able to fix it quickly for a fair price. I will definitely be using them again.

I called ahead to ask if they could repair an older Sony Camcorder. I wanted to discuss it before driving all the way there. He said I need to come in. So I drove all the way there only to be told right away that I have to pay $80 just to look at it. I just wanted to know how much it would cost to replace a faulty lcd screen cable and he couldnt, or didnt want to, tell me. Only saying the $80 will apply to any repair cost. He has to open it to diagnose. If he is a professional, and has repaired this issue in the past I would expect he could give me a ballpark price for this repair and not just tell me pay $80 and Ill tell you later the price. By the way, its $150-$250 minimum for repair. Very disappointed. Drove over an hour for this.

I had been looking around for a fair priced T.V repair service a friend referred me to one company and they were just as well very high to repair my TV. I was just about to give in too what I thought was the normal, now after so much research the going price for repair on a Samsung smart tv. I then looked into United electronic Services. Very good work,great pricing,and they fix my smart remote as well save me a small fortune thank you guys over there I appreciate it.

My VCR/DVD combo need some repair like when you load cassette it ejected and turned off .He fixed the problems and did a great job this time and last couple of years ago.I pay the price what ever he charged because he is very experienced guy he knows job.

They were faster with fixing my TV then said. Tom negotiated price with me. They are very concerned about customer service. This was the second time I used them. They will charge you 80 dollars just to open up the device but they put that towards the total bill. They do have a warranty for their work and I have not had any complaints with the quality, nor have I needed to use said warranty.

Very nice place. Less expensive compared with other places. I check the other places with good google review. I am not sure the service, but I dont want to deposit $120 or $160 there before they open the box. You can get your stuff fixed with reasonable price here however. I really recommend this place.

United VTR Service is your one stop shop for electronics repair. I have brought in two large speakers here for repair here, and both times have come back in near-perfect condition. They give you fair prices for the work, and are extremely flexible. I was out of town for a few weeks and they held onto my speaker for the duration of time I was absent. I would highly recommend!

I recently took my 50 inch Panasonic TV to United VTR Service for repair due to issues with my HDMI inputs. The owner of the shop was very courteous and professional when discussing steps for repair with me. The cost for estimate was very affordable compared to other TV repair stores in the area. He told me that they would be able to give me the estimate for my TV within three days, but to my surprise they promptly got the estimate back to me within one day. He was very informative in calling me to discuss all the steps that needed to happen to fix my TV and why. The shop worked incredibly fast and was able to order a part necessary for my TV, and fix the TV in less than a week. They provided me excellent service at a very affordable price considering the needs of my TV. I am extremely happy with all of the work that United VTR did for my TV, and will bring all my future electronic repairs to this store! I highly recommend to anyone in the Houston area that has issues with your TV or other electronics to take your devices to United VTR service!!!

I brought in a Luxman 5M21 amp that I purchased used with problems in both the left and right channels. Tom assured me they could fix it. It took a little time for the repairs but the amp sounds amazing now. I will definitely use United VTR services for my electronics repairs in the future. I even had a couple of questions after the repairs were done and Tom was very helpful answering all of them.

Tom and United VTR are excellent at repairs, even with higher-end products. My home surround sound receiver is still working several years after they fixed it. Yes, expect an up-front diagnostic fee. It takes time to disassemble, examine, and reassemble so it makes sense theres a charge. Very similar to some automotive repair shops. However, this gets folded into the cost of repair if you go that route. I felt like the price to repair wasnt cheap, but it was fair. In my case, replacement boards were no longer available so the parts had to be replaced and hand soldered individually. Feels great to have my favorite receiver still running! Thanks!

Great service. Took old Onkyo receiver to be fixed. It kept going into protect mode. Tom called next day to say they found the problem and would need to order the part. He even fixed another problem he found and didnt charge more than originally quoted.

I would recommend to take your vintage game consoles here, they brought my system back to “brand new” value and I was very amazed, I also received it back in the same shape I gave it to them in without any newly added marks or scratches so I see it was handled with care, the only con you may think you see here is the cost but for the quality of service you get it is well worth it if you wanna keep your modern or vintage electronics going.

I give this company 5 Stars! The company fixed by 20 year old 5 disc Sony CD changer in less than 1 week. The owner is very attentive. He even returned to me by mail one of my CDs left at his shop. My CD changer is working just fine now.

Took 2 1/2 months to diagnose the issue. Parts were delayed and then reordered. A lot of up selling during the whole process. Ended up forfeiting my tv.

The pricing was reasonable. He charge me for parts and very minimum to none for service. I would use this repair shop again!

In September 2018 I brought my old cathode-ray tube monitors to Tom and he fixed them in one week. Now I am enjoying them with my vintage word-processor. Tom is the only guy in Houston who can fix old technology machines.

Not to be trusted. Tom will take advantage of you and adjust the price based on superficial aspects instead of technical. First, charge $40 to $80 for a diagnostic. Kept my TV for almost a week. I get called with an outrageous quote of $275.I was misled by the positive reviews which I now believe are prob not legitimate.

Fixed my old Sony camera got me filming again! Couldnt be happier, he can fix anything electronic with a good price. Check him out!! Dont stop doing what you love simply because something is broken.. Call Tom he can fix it.

Great service... they were the only ones in town they knew how to fix the console stereo from my aunt! I highly recomend the place!

They fixed my Panasonic 60 plasma that had a bad HDMI board. Its $80 for them to check it out and then the repair costs which started at $520 (so $600 total). They have a board that states that most repairs are $150-$250 but that was not the case for me. In my experience, flat panel repairs are in the $300-$600 range which can almost make the repair not worth it. Youll need to negotiate with them to get a better deal but at the end of the day, Tom fixed my TV and got it back to me very quickly.

At the first time he told me can fix my reciver. 100% 80$ after 6 day I went to Hes shop says 350$ for old receiver. After I told him I will call to police he return only 40$ back. He just try to get 80$ advance and do nothing.

They repaired my TV for an extremely reasonable price. It is now in factory new condition with a warranty on his work. I highly recommend taking your TV there before you waste money on buying new.

I dont think Ive ever seen so many bogus reviews. Seems like this business might do okay for a select few customers but for the vast majority, they have no time for you and the only effort they do put forth is when they are racking up charges and padding their invoice. Use at your own peril.

I got my 73 inch Mitsubishi T.V. fixed by the shop. They gave me a warranty upon fixing it. This shop STANDS by their Warranty with Excellence and I like that about this shop.

( they offer some weeks guarantee for their work done)He charges a fee to see if the item is fixable, and honestly tells you in advance if the piece is worth to be repairedHe is knowledgable and works pretty quick considering he may need to order some old model parts.I highly recommend them, they had been in that business, in the same place for over 20 years!

Competent repair. Speed was average, price was 2 or 3 times higher than expectation for my stereo equipment. Diagnosis cost 40 dollars, they do allow you to put that towards a repair, but expect to be spending more.
