My wife and I have spent around 4 years at Meriwether. The place isnt new but is very affordable and very pet friendly. The residents are kind and the staff are friendly as well. Any issues we had were resolved in a timely manner. If you are looking for a nice place with all the bells and whistles you will have to look elsewhere. I have been happy to call this place home for the past few years and would recommend this place to a friend or colleague with no regrets.

Ultimately, we’ve had a wonderful experience living here. The apartments are spacious, and for a good price. I’m not sure what all the units look like, but ours is slightly remodeled, we have a nice bright kitchen and white ceiling fans. The buildings are older, so you more than likely will be able to hear your neighbors if they’re on the rowdier side. We happened to luck out, and have relatively quiet and friendly neighbors.Compared to other apartments we have lived in, the office/leasing staff have been a joy to deal with. Shout out to Ryan on this one, as he’s the one I’ve communicated with the most. The office staff have been friendly and very accommodating overall. Any time we’ve had an issue in the apartment it has been resolved almost immediately. For example, our microwave decided to die one morning, I sent the office an email, and by the time I got home from work that evening there was a new microwave already installed. We personally don’t have a dog, but there is a nice little fenced in area for pups to run around in. I have no complaints about the outdoor upkeep. Hallways are regularly vacuumed, shrubs are trimmed every few weeks, and I’ve never seen the grass get too bad. The pools are also relatively nice thought not top class. I would recommend having the bottom of the pools cleaned a bit better (leaves and dirt tend to accumulate through the season) as well as investing in some nicer lounge chairs. The only downside to these apartments (in my opinion) is that there is no washer/dryer in the unit. There is one in each building that you have to pay to use. We’ve personally never used ours, as we have family in the area where we opt to wash our things instead, but anytime I’ve walked by the washer/dryer in our building it has always been clean, of course I can’t comment on the ones in other buildings. All in all, we would highly recommend Meriwether Hills. As with most establishments, as long as you read your lease and are a decent human being you shouldn’t have any issues.

Management is friendly and timely with issues that come up (ex. noise, repair stove,etc...) Great to have a place that allows pets and a fenced in dog area. Affordable rent for the size of the apartments.

I have friends that live here, their ceiling started leaking from the apartment above them, and maintenance came by to look at it, but it was the end of the day so I don’t think they actually addressed the problem until the next day or so. The prices are definitely better than other apartments in the same area; there is a quality difference, but I’m not surprised.

SURE a great place to live if you dont mind paper thin walls and neighbors playing music loudly at all hours and partying and God knows what. My neighbors doorbell even woke me up. And management who literally doesnt care doesnt do anything. Crooked doors that dont fit the doorway, horrible mold problems due to poor ventilation. Come to meriwether with low standards and you might not be let down.

I signed a contract and when they gave me the apartment everything was damaged and they stole my money, the deposit and a months rent and they no longer want to weaken it, they are very deceitful because according to what they painted it and they were not abusive if someone recommended me a lawyer that you tell me your number 6 months ago that you dont want to give me my money back

My husband and I moved in a month ago and are so happy with our apartment! This large 2 bedroom apartment is so roomy!! And there is tons of storage! The carpet is brand new, the windows are new and everything is in good shape. These 60s era apartments are well designed and offer perks you dont find in newer apartments. Such as front and back entrances and a closet off the living room that could probably fit a twin bed in it. Theres also a big closet in the bathroom and a linen closet in the hall and of course bedroom closets. Our bedroom is so roomy it easily fits a California king two dressers and two large nightstands with room to spare.Being older, they also have drawbacks such as communal washer and dryers, but they are located right out my back door and I never have to wait to use them. It hasnt been a problem. Also everything isnt perfect and trendy but my honest opinion is the pros far outweigh the cons.I also like the layout. The bedrooms and bathrooms are separated from the living area and kitchen by a door which offers the option of more privacy when visitors are over.Ryan, the property manager, is very friendly and bent over backward to help us. There isnt the hostile, distrustful environment here that we experienced while looking at other places. We feel trusted by the management and really appreciate that.Kids play outdoors and people walk their dogs and it feels like a real neighborhood, not a trendy but cold apartment complex. Also our next door neighbors are great!! They brought us dinner when we were moving in. Oh and there are big lovely trees! I cant be happy without trees around.Lastly this neighborhood is diverse and the home of several immigrant families which I think is awesome!!Oh and being near the bypass, 42, and 11 everything is so close by!

A joy to come home to?? complete opposite honestly. the people in the apartment under me are constantly yelling and slamming doors and keeping me up at night. when I brought this up to the management they didnt do anything. basically just told me to deal with it. Im in college and its hard to concentrate on my work when theyre slamming doors so hard the entire building shakes. The apartments are old and run down. if you ever have to call maintenance, dont even bother. they just told my roommate and I to fix the problem by ourselves. also, the first apartment we lived in had a VERY bad bug problem. Giant black spiders mostly. i was bitten by one and my leg swelled up and turned a blackish color. after nagging at them for weeks, they finally had an exterminator come spray, but it didnt help because the front door didnt touch the ground so bugs literally walked in. We had beetles in the cabinets AND that apartment was underground. finally they moved us above ground (after more nagging). most people living here dont speak english and now that my roommate joined the army and i live alone, i worry because if something happened to me, i couldnt ask my neighbors for help because Im the only english speaker in my building. Im terminating my lease early because i cant stand living here anymore. this place is way to pricey for the quality. $800 a month for a two bedroom that is pretty much falling apart? Ill pass. This is one complex i will never move back into again. Also, i pity anyone who moves into my apartment because the family below will wake you up CONSTANTLY in the middle of the night.
