On my way to drop my daughter off and then into work, today, my low tire sensor kicked on. I called East Beltline towing to see if they could get me in asap and they did. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. James found a nail in the tire and quickly fixed it and got me back on the road. Curt, in service, was great to work with and provided me quotes with great pricing for future items that my car will need. I will be back!

Tow truck driver lost my key fob when I have a conversation with him from Google Voice on my phone saying that he had the key with him and the owner Jay will not pay for a new one for me he actually hung up on me right after telling me he wasnt going to pay for anyting. I would definitely recommend going to another company this is not a very professional place and the owner is absolutely unprofessional and rude

The helpful and handsome fellows over at East Beltline Towing always get my car fixed up and back on the road whenever I have something unexpected happen! This time my radiator blew out and they were able to get a tow truck out to me even on a busy Friday evening during rush hour. They kept me up-to-date with estimates and recommendations and got the repairs done super fast so I didnt have to sell a kidney to pay for the rental I was using. Never been disappointed by these guys! They all deserve a raise! (And no, no one told me to say that lol :D)

My wife was hit by a neighbor and both vehicles ended up in my yard just off my driveway. The Kent County Sheriff called for a wrecker(East Beltline Towing) to tow the other vehicle away. The worker for East Beltline told my wife he couldnt hook onto the other vehicle unless he pulled her car back about 6ft; she couldnt move it herself because of being stuck in the snow off the side of the driveway. I could have easily pulled my own vehicle out after I got home from work. The worker charged my wife $185.00 to move it 6ft even though he was dispatched to tow the other vehicle involved away. I called the business regarding the charge and they told me that is standard practice; I say that is BAD business. I know several other towing companies that would have done it for free or a very minimal charge since they would have been onsite already for a different vehicle. I definitely will NOT call East Beltline Towing & Service for anything.

Great place to take your vehicle at. The owner is great. He will be honest and try to work with you on the cheapest options. Id recommend going there for any repairs. They also do oil changes etc.

They were very quick to take my call. After waiting on other services for five hours, I called them. Within 25 minutes the arrived and took care of me. Very friendly people they did a good job. Over priced they kept my car stored for 5 days it was 40$ a day (closed on the weekends still have to pay) and 450$ for a 5 mile tow (same price towed to my house a mile away) other then that the people and services were okay.

These guys were great - we broke an axle while towing our 20’ boat trailer, with a wheel literally off and frame on the ground on the side of the road. Jeremy carefully maneuvered it onto a flatbed without damaging the boat and safely hauled it away. I had no idea where to take it for a fix but East Beltline towing said bring it back to their shop and they’d would work on the trailer (with the boat on which few will do). They stored the boat inside and Jay called regularly and jumped through a lot of hoops to get parts and got it fixed right at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Great Service!!! We called at 4 OClock in the afternoon for a problem with one of our service vehicles...They told us we could drop it off at 7:30AM the next morning. Within an hour they called with the diagnosis and a fair price for the repair. They had the vehicle ready for us to pick up by 3PM...Very Satisfied!!!

I didnt have the full amount for the tow bill so he generously paid for the rest with his own money until I was able to pay him back. I will always use East Beltline Towing. What a great company.

This place was a lifesaver! Im a writer and travel throughout the state. I was on the highway between GR and Lansing, in heavy traffic, far from my home in Traverse City, when my old but very reliable Honda engine blew up, literally. I chose this place only because they had towing and service combined. I was soo lucky. The tow came all that distance within 45 minutes even though it was out of their way--and calmed me when I was rattled from this kind of breakdown on the expressway. Once back at their service operation, they helped me find a rental--I was on a timeline to get to the other side of the state. They even gave me a ride to the rental site for another car. The next morning, they called with a full diagnosis and the cost of replacing the engine--at a reasonable price I may add. They found an engine, and replaced all the damaged parts, and I had the car back in a week, and everything is running very smoothly. When I picked up the car, they showed me the old engine--and all the damaged parts. What a mess! I couldnt have afforded to purchase a new car right now, but their good work got me back on the road, they kept within my budget, prevented my from having to junk my car, and Ive now traveled several hundred miles with this replacement engine. Running fine! All I can say is many thanks to Jay and his crew. They saved the day, and though no on ever wants a break down that serious, they made getting through it as easy as possible. I recommend enthusiastically!

We use East Beltline to deliver and pick up equipment. Jim normally is the driver who hauls for us, he always is efficient, he will always get the job done even if the circumstances change and the pick up needs more work or time than anticipated. It is great to know that we can trust him to get the job done in a timely and safe manner.

Had a car towed (flatbed). $60 hookup fee and $3.75 per mile for about 12 miles. I had a tiny trailer with me which a friend was on his way to come get, but was told it could be hitched to the truck, no problem, so I told the friend to not worry about it. Got home and found out it was $60 and another $60 for the trailer! Awesome!The fact that theres a second hookup fee isnt so much the problem, its the fact that it wasnt ever disclosed prior to the job being done. They did end up reducing it to an extra $30, which was better, but still not nice to be surprised by.

This place is excellent. When the charging system on our vehicle failed on a Sunday evening, their prompt and courteous towing service was there within a half hour to tow our vehicle back to their shop. Our vehicle was returned to us the next day with quality repairs done. These guys know their stuff. Price was reasonable. They take pride in their business, the facility is quite clean. Jim (Laperna) has towed for us many times and he always does a fantastic job. We have a U-shaped driveway that many other drivers seem to have a hard time getting in and out of - Jim makes it look like a piece of cake. We also have a unique request that vehicles be dropped off behind a rather large gate (to keep the driveway clear) and Jim has never had an issue dropping the vehicle in that location and closing everything back up. He is the only driver I trust to come to my home and do a great job even when I cant be there.

This man has skill. He treated my car as if it was his own hot rod. He processed my credit card with no issues and clearly explained the bill.

People are always looking for a good, honest mechanic, right? Well, heres your crew! We ended up losing a transmission line on 96 ( going 70 mph and 1.5 hours from home! YUCK) outside of Grand Rapids and chose East Beltline because they turned up such high recommendations on our Google search. We were so grateful for them. The tow truck came immediately and arranged for us ( including my 2 yr old daughter) to get back to the shop where they set in immediately working on our car. Ryan ( the manager) was up front and honest. He takes a genuine interest in his clients and will go the extra mile for them. His staff is wonderful. Rebecca not only helped get us get going again ASAP, she helped to entertain my two year old daughter. We were treated with respect and honesty by everyone we encountered and I only wish that East Beltline was closer. They would be our number one go to shop with out a doubt!

Used these guys for the first time this week. A tensioner pulley broke and the belt on my engine came off, so I had to get a tow. They showed up pretty quickly, the driver was nice to talk to and seemed to really like his job helping people. Ryan called me promptly the next morning to give me an estimate to fix a few things. As standard for auto shops, they pointed out other things that could also be fixed, but knowing that I only wanted to get one more year out of my vehicle (super high mileage), they didnt push to do any of the extra work and he was totally fine with that. Nice to not have to deal with that extra sales push. Price for the fix was reasonable and work was done fast. Straight-forward and easy to work with. Would use them again.

Good/friendly towers, alright mechanic, but the office people are SHADY!I had my civic towed by these guys to their shop during winter, because of a bad alternator. I would have replaced it myself but it was 6am and, so cold that I had to light a butane camping stove, 5 minutes after pulling over to stay warm while I waited for a tow.I was in there for 6 hours and they charged me $400 for something that would have cost me $100 to do myself.It was $150 for the part(which is actually $100 at the part store, but core fees), they make you pay an additional $50 for a core return fee... which is BS because there is no fee on a core return, plus they get a refund for the old alternator when they take the core back(they are scamming customers and getting $250 for of a part that costs $100!), $75 for labor $80 for a battery boost that probably cost them an extra $1 on their electric bill and whatever else was taxes/tow fees(which my insurance should have covered because it was within my 5 free miles).Had I been charged $250-300 I would have been perfectly fine with it, because they have to make money off of people, but $400? Thats outright theft!Edit:Google never showed the owner responded, but I was never returned the core fee like the owner states, the bill(which I still have) shows the fee being there but there was no deduction in the final price.

I was at a gas station trying to put air in my flat tire. I saw this man Drake in his truck on break I asked him if he could check if the air was working. He said it wasnt and then went above and beyond and filled my tire using his truck and also told me it was probably a small leak. All to help me get to the nearest tire place. Any company that has employees that are this kind and go above and beyond for others even on break deserves 5 stars! This company is doing something right and this single mom is very happy Drake pulled into my gas station right at the right moment! Thank you Drake!!

Horrible company. Not good temper-mate in the business. Heard yelling while I was there. Came with a friend to get a car out of impound and could hear yelling and swearing. I was stuck in the snow, waiting for my insurance company to process everything and send someone out. They said about 45 minutes. meanhwile i had my puppy and 2 year old in the car and they did not want to be! Luckily after only about 15 minutes of being stuck I see a tow truck come. A nice gentlemen named Bud from East Beltline towing came and said he saw me from the bridge i was near and was wondering if i needed help. He took a look at how i was stuck and said he could help me out, without having to pull me. He gave me step by step directions on how to turn my wheel and which way to go and GOT ME OUT! i was so happy and thankful he came. we were starting to get cold! thanks bud!!! youre awesome and we really appreciate that thoughtfulness!

Long story here. My brother-in-law was riding in a car driven by a crazy woman and when she got too crazy he bailed leaving his tools and both of his large dogs with her. Stupid? You bet! We got a call to come pick up the dogs from the accident scene after she crashed. East Beltline Towing was on the scene with the cops when we got there and found the totalled car and dogs. Crazy woman had been taken to ER. The fellow was so caring about the dogs and helped us move them to our car. He could have just called Animal Control but didnt. E. Beltline was contracted to impound the car which was totalled. Brother-in-law wanted to get his tools out and was met with a lot of red tape. If youve ever been there, you know. We eventually spoke with Jay at E. Beltline and he was more than helpful and let us come there and get brother-in-laws tools. Its a towing company with a heart.

Never again. Over charging not only for parts ($60 for an oil filter, is laughable) or if you dont look at your bill they just throw random stuff on. The first time I pointed it out I just thought it was a mistake, not even three months later they tried to charge me for a new belt?!?, which they didnt even do. My truck is only a 2017 and its only ever been here for oil changes and small maintenance like tire rotations.Id never allow them to do major work on my truck. Find ANYWHERE else.

My car broke down while on the road, but I was able to pull into a parking lot. I had an appointment to get to, but arranged to have E Beltline Towing pick up the car and bring it to my preferred repair facility since I couldnt be present for the pick up. I knew the repair facility would be closed, but let them know that the car would be coming so they could look at it the next morning (a Saturday).1st, I arranged to leave the key in the gas cap. The person I spoke with on the phone assured me that that this would be OK to do and that theyve never had any problem doing this. When the driver gets there he says he actually cant open the gas cap and would have to charge an additional fee to unlock my car to pop it open from the inside. Since I wasnt nearby, I didnt have much choice but to agree because I needed the car repaired quickly.2nd, they then failed to drop off the car in the proper lot. Instead of dropping off the car in the lot for the repair facility, they dropped it off in the parking lot of the business next door.Late morning on Saturday the repair facility calls and asks when the car is supposed to be dropped off. I tell them it was dropped off last night. They say its not there, but theyll look again. Late afternoon I get another call saying they found it, but it was actually in the parking log next door. But, they cant look at it because the driver put the key back in the gas cap and their services dont include jimmying my door open. By that point it was near the end of the business day and it was not possible for me to get there in time to drop off my spare key. They were closed on Sunday. So I had to wait until Monday morning to drop the key off. All in all I found my experience with E Beltline Towing to be extremely unpleasant and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Be aware of which towing company you use. East Beltline charges outrageous prices. The tow was no different, but they said it was more because it was a accident tow along with other surcharges. Car had three tires and a spare and it still drove no problem. On top of that the care arrived at noon and I took it away from there lot at 4pm and they still charged me $25 for storage. Dont use them find another tow company. Youll be happier and spen a lot less.

Can not say enough about EBT and Jim Laperna. My hummer broke down and he was there quickly to get it loaded up and off to the shop for me. Also this past winter, I called him when i was out of town and coming back from the other side of the state and needed directions, and asked a favor of which way to go and he directed me the safest way to avoid accidents. Jim is always there to help whenever he can and Beltine towing is the best!
